"Hotel in Grinnell - near my venue"
Check in was speedy, friendly and easy. The breakfast hot foods were scrambled egg patties, sausage and make-your-own waffles. This was fine and they had a microwave to warm up the hot foods. The breads were not restocked during breakfast; so, when I got there for breakfast at 8:30 (on a Thursday), there was no bread for toast. The pool area was clean […] and they provided a few beach balls and floating noodles which was great for the kids. When we got back to the room after swimming which was an hour before checkout the day we were checking out, the cleaning lady was in our room cleaning. She continued to clean until we had to ask her to leave our room so that we could get ready. It just made double work for her because it is impossible to keep young children off the beds when there is only one chair in the room. ;0( If I were going to that area again, I'd probably try one of the other hotels in that area. "Not the best but the pool was nice for the kids"
I was down stairs in 118 and every time someone turned on the water above us a loud noise would come from the bathroom wall. Whatever you do don't use the comp lotion. I used it on my kids and it had bits of glass in it. When I brought the lotion to the manager she didn't even ask if my kids were okay, she just threw the bottle away. The kids did like […] the pool.
