Excellent Hotel and excellent service. My claim is about the room next to mine, that was divided by a non isolated junction door, that could make you hear everything from there... Even at 6:30h in the morning, when they used to wake up...

Everything was absolutely perfect. One of the best trips I have made. Thank you Sandos Caracol Eco for making our trip memorable.

info online is deceiving,says rooms are pool, ocean, or mountain view. In fact most rooms have no view except trees,etc. Resort is huge, with the few rooms by the main pools or beach, costing an extra (large) fee. per night. It is a great place for kids, with activities going on all the time, but if you arent into a lot of kids and noise, try somewhere […] else. There is an adults only section, but it is the furthest area from the beach, a long walk, and also costs more. Our first room was very far from the restaurant area, and it took 4 days to get moved to a closer one. Our second room was very musty smelling, and there was water leaking from under the spa tub. I would recommend the huge spa tub in the room The food was good, and the serving staff were very pleasant. If you have mobility issues, walking, wheelchair, etc,, this is not the place for you. There are steps, trails, wooden walks, and rough, to look like stonework or cobbles, concrete on all main walking areas, and no elevators in the 3 story buildings. . The public areas, are well kept, and clean, and the animals are entertaining, all in all, quite a good holiday, but i do wish there had been more info, before i got there. Continua a leggere

PROS : - Most specialty restaurants for all-inclusives we've seen (5 of them. - Asian specialty restaurant is so-so, but the Brazilian and mediteranean offer REAL choice meats (surloin, etc.). REALLY GOOD. - Pools are amazing in design. - Wine is included in all-inclusive drinks and it's good wine from Chile (I'm french so I would know if it were sucky […] american wine or something). - Amazing choice of hotel activities (even a disco on site and a pet zoo for kids...) - Buffets are good as well with lots of choice, though of course it's not like the specialty restaurants. - An OUT OF THIS WORLD spa center with Hamam, sauna and various jaccuzis free of charge ! Amazing. - Jaccuzis in the room are amazing. Rooms are very very nice. - I don't think you can get more for the money. We've returned for our 2nd time this year... CONS : - No heated pool : if you come in the winter the pools will be too cold to swim !!! - Beach sucks : like all hotels on that side of cancun, it's rocky and you'll cut your feet if your feet touch the bottom at the beach. NOT your dream white sand beach... - You gotta take taxis to go anywhere from this hotel. - 3 DAY RULE : in all-inclusive hotels, if you're staying less than 3 nights you will NOT get access to the specialty restaurants. - Reservation headache : even if you do stay several days, it'll be very difficult to get a reservation at the specialty restaurants. I would reccomend this hotel only if you have small children under the age of 10 years old. The hotel rooms were clean, but very musty. The musty smell clings to your clothes and requires several washes to get out. The buffets are really busy. While the food is okay, getting drinks and silverware can be quite a chore. The pool area and beach were great. […] Bars had short lines and it was easy to get a drink or beer during the day. Lots of kid friendly activities, including entertainment at night. We didn't even need to leave the resort for our 5 day stay. Also, there were a ton of animals to see in and around the grounds. Continua a leggere

First of all the good things about this place: - Large poolareas - Many water slides for the kids - Good food at many different restaurants. - Kids club had a goog program - Wheelchair friendly all over the place. And then the bad: - Too loud entertainment at the poolarea. - NO FREE WIFI!! And the internet café is lousy... - The spa is too expensive […] and no kids allowed. - Despite it's slogan "Eco-friendly resort" there are e.g. no ecological food at the restaurants but many animals all over the place which are nice but how "eco" is it really? - No convenience store at site. - It's very far from "Playa" - No connection at all with real Mexican people and culture. - Did I mention "NO FREE WIFI"?? We stayed at 6 differents hotels during our month in the Yucatan and the only place without free wifi is the most expensive one... - The beach is not wheelchair accessible. Please build a wooden access ramp on the sand! =) We wouldn't recommend this place but maybe it's because we didn't like the concept... Continua a leggere

We thought that we got a great deal at this resort. Little did we know that their standard rooms are mold and mildew infested. We changed rooms three times and still ended up in a room that smelled like mold. To our benefit, the actual mold didn't surface until two days before we were scheduled to leave. I would recommend Florida, USA for better beaches […] and hotels. The only benefit was the all inclusive feature. Resort store chrged $10.67 US for a bag of chips, so beware. If you can afford it, upgrade to SELECT CLUB or ROYAL ELITE. Might have to buy time share to get this. These packages give you access to better rooms and all the Restaurants on property. Your standard all inclusive package only gives you the ability to make two reservations. There are four A la Carte restaurants and one buffet. The other two buffets were not open in off season. With the standard all inclusive package you get a green wristband that you must wear your entire stay. The Select Club bands are white and the royal elite are black. The Water park for kids was exciting for our son. This is qualified as an eco resort, yet all of their golf carts are gasoline engine and you gag at the fumes everytime one passes you by. I would recommend staying in Cancun. Better beaches and more access to local shops in a safe vicinity to the resorts. Continua a leggere

Super price...I live at Playa del carmen where the sandos caracol is located and hoteles.com offered me half price than an direct booking at the hotel with the status of living in this area!!!!

There was a line in everywhere. The hotel was really overly crowded. You always wait in the line to eat (3 times a day). Do not forget the 95 degree heat outside!!!!. Front desk was just horrible. You need to wait long waiting time to ask simple questions. I loved Cancun but definitely not coming back to the same hotel.

The hotel was very luxurioius. The problem we had was with theft. An IPOD was stolen from our room and then returned 3 days later when management got involved. My daughter left her wallet there the day we flew home and we had the quite the ordeal trying to get it back. I had set up a FEDEX account and after 1 month, countless emails + 1 phone call later […] we finally got it returned. It was wonderful not to have to re-apply for all her cards and drivers license but $25 USD was missing from her wallet. My other daughter loved the Kids club which was fabulous! It opened from 10am-8pm. The grounds were beautiful and the food was good. It was very far from Playa but we walked one day along the beach and that was lovely. This is only my 3rd time doing an all-inclusive as I usually like to rent an apt. or a small Mexican run hotel on Isla Mujeres. I found the "money machine" a little too over whelming in this resort and that the bottom line seemed to always linger behind everything we did. We spent 7 days on Isla and 9 days there. We would have preferred to spend the majority of our time on Isla Mujeres where we've stayed numerous times. Continua a leggere

This place is amazing for kids! The water park is very fun, also the kids's club has a lot of things to do. My daughter loved the animals in the area and the beach is also very good. My husband and I came back very tired but all of us had a great time!

Excellent resort that surpassed our expectations for a family of 4. Wonderful service and facilities with no hidden extras. There was plenty to do at the resort including film screenings, nightly entertainment, snorkeling etc. The resort is also located very close to some of the best family attractions Mexico has to offer (Xcaret, Xplor, Xa-Ha, Chitchen […] Itza...). Were not impressed with the unorganized front desk and guest serives. We checked in, received our keys and were told to wait to be shown to our room. After almost an hr waiting, we took our bags and found the room ourselves. We were placed in a room near the noisey lobby and requested to be moved. They said it would be possible in the coming days but […] we were never contacted and remained in the same room for the week. They were very pushy insisting that we have breakfast with a time share sales rep. Unfortunately we did and he wasted 2 hrs of our morning trying to get us to sign a big check to become an Royal Elite member. The facilty, environment and animals present were very impressive. Loved having donkeys, racoons, parrots, peacocks, coatis and iguanas to see and even pet everyday on site. Staff that served us were extremely friendly and anxious to help. Service was slow at some locations when busy. We believe that the facility is slightly under staffed. The beach was beautiful and well maintained. We booked a wonderful photographer to take pictures of us on the beach one day. There was no initial cost for this service. The only cost was for the purchase of the photos after being viewed. The photos taken were excellent and the overall cost of our photo package was reasonable. Hotel has plenty of entertainment and services for children on site. Continua a leggere

Expect long waits at check-in, at restaurants and for ANY service! We had to wake up at 5:30 am just to get a chair at the beach every morning!!! The meals times are very structured so you cannot find breakfast until 7am or lunch until 12:30 pm, which can be trouble some if you have little ones. The room service is absolutely horrible - bad food, […] and very very late - we waited over an hour, even if ordering the night before, they lose the order and are late! The hotel itself is nice but the beach is a bit dangerous for little ones because of the sharp coral and very low water. The beach is very small, well maintained but definitely not what you can find at the Hotel Zone. We got a very good deal, so it was ok for the price. This is not a five star property but it is more than what you pay for. The service is very friendly and attentive. Our room was comfortable and all that we expected. The food is above average for an all-inclusive property. The food is plentiful and there is a great amount of selections available sure to please any dining tastes. The grounds, beach and […] pool areas are impeccible! The attention to detail to cleanliness rivals any property I have ever stayed. Listen to the presentation you receive at check-in. This is a beautiful resort: scenic tropical feel (like being in Costa Rica w/out the tramp through the jungle), very well maintained, clean=A+; staff is very responsive - managers constantly inquired about the comfort of our stay=A+; the Select Club is the way to go = private beach club w/social area, food, beverages, free internet & towel service, […] private pool, food, pool/beach service, larger rooms=A+. Beach is clean and majestic - they have built in water barriers to keep guest from killing themselves - sand is made of coral reef so sand doesn't get very hot=A+. Beware of the topless sunbathers; this is legal in Mexico and resort can not control it=C+, esp for children. THE GREEN JUNGLE TROPICAL SCENE = MOSQUITOES, MOSQUITOES, MOSQUITOES. On the beach no problem - inland within the resort area, when the sun goes down the blood suckers come out! While you feast they feast on you during dinner-the buffet areas are all open space, surrounded by the jungle and man-made lagoons that meander throughout the resort. Do not wear perfume nor scented lotions during your stay here. This is beautiful, peaceful BUT the mosquitoes were the major downfall to our stay. We had to have mosquitoe hunting/killing sessions each time we opened our door and especially before bedtime. The repellent was very expensive at the resort - double ouch!! The Spa is beautiful with a lap pool, steam and sauna rooms. Food was well presented in a clean area w/labels for each item. We are veggies, so there was not as much as we would have wanted - but the food was tasty; fruit was great=B. Deserts were good as well=B. We don't drink - but everyone who did, didn't look like they were suffering. In room beverages/alcohol replenished daily. Plenty of activities & a daily movie in the theater. EL HOTEL ES MUY BUENO, PERO EL PERSONAL CON LA ESCUSA DE QUE SON POLÍTICAS DE LA EMPRESA, TE DEJA ESPERANDO MUCHO TIEMPO EN RECEPCIÓN

Lo bueno: pileta con toboganes y juegos para chicos, pelotero gigante, teatro y cine para chicos, club de chicos, bosque con animales exoticos, alun que otro buen show...lo mejor de este hotel es todo lo relacionado a los chicos Lo malo: no hay Internet en las habitaciones (solo en el bar y u$s5 la hora), hay que caminar mucho para todo (sobre todo […] si no vas a las habitaciones mas caras que están sobre la playa), nunca conseguís reposeras a menos que te despiertes a las 7am. Sandos får 5 stjärnor för sitt engagemang för barnen. Med lekland, en egen aquapark och aktiviteter för barnen. För de som älskar djur så finns det tvättbjörnar, näsbjörnar, hästar och mycket mer att se. Då passar denna resort ypperligt för barnfamiljen. Det som störde mig var att informationen om var och hur saker fungerade när man anlände var tyvärr […] mycket usel. Hade gärna sett att man hade information på rummet att läsa på. Men efter ett par dagar så lärde man sig var allt fanns och hur resorten fungerade. Maten är ok, mexicanska buffen tyckte jag var riktigt bra. Resorten passar inte för par eller ensamma själar som har valt att stanna över. Om dykintresset är på topp så passar resorten alla, Scuba libre som ligger bra placerat på stranden med underbara dyk ger denna resort toppbetyg. Continua a leggere

Bra och familjevänligt hotell.Bra med vattenlandet, alla djuren och mycket aktiviteter. Dock hade den två vuxenpooler men det hade ha räckt med en då det nästan var tomt där och jättefullt vid den stora poolen. Es muy grande y con muchas amenidades, aunque parece más un balneario que un resort, si tu idea es descansar y relajarte no es tan recomendable, las distancias de las habitaciones a la playa y a los restaurantes son muy grandes, hay mucha gente, muchos niños, parecería que más amenidades para niños que adultos; y hay muchos mosquitos por lo que es molesto […] siempre tener q usar repelente (dia y noche); además la comida no es de tan buena calidad, parece comida rápida y es muy latoso tener que reservar con un dia o mas de anticipación una cena en un restaurante de especialidad ya que en ocasiones no alcanzas lugar y tienes que cenar en donde se pueda. El hotel es muy bueno y grande, lo malo es que no tiene mucha variedad en la comidas buffet (ya sea desayunos, almuerzos y comidas) casi siempre es lo mismo. Tiene 5 restaurantes que uno puede reservar para la noche, el mejor es el Brasilero y el Argentino NO lo recomiendo. El hotel en si es grande, cómodo y tiene diferentes actividades, en algunos […] puntos estratégicos, tiene repelente, es un hotel preocupado por el cuidado de la naturaleza. me parecio muy bonito, el nadar en el cenote, los animales silvestres con que cuenta, la playa, para los niños lo mejor fue el aquaparque, esta muy divertido y seguro

Un hotel muy bueno para vacaciones familiares, buena comida tanto buffet como a la carta, personal muy atento, el unico pero que le pondria es que requiere tener un programa de fumigacion de habitaciones ya que es molesto que haya principalmento hormigas por todos lados.

Un resort para disfrutar,descansar y entretenerse,todo preparado para hacer que las vacaciones sean perfectas,muy lindo bien mantenido el entorno es maravilloso entre maglares y cenotes,la playa siempre limpia y con mucho espacio.Las habitaciones espaciosas y los baños también,el aseo y preparación de las habitaciones impecable y preocupado,frigobar […] siempre lleno. El hotel es un resort muy grande, lleno de cosas para hacer. Es ideal para familias con chicos, tiene actividades programadas, un lugar de juegos con trepadoras, inflables, computadoras otro con mesas de ping pong, tejos, etc. y un aquapark hermoso, grande y seguro. Tiene un planetario espectacular también. El hotel está rodeado de una belleza natural […] única, como insertado en una jungla, en el que hay animalitos de toda clase sueltos (uno se puede encontrar con mapaches, iguanas, coatíes, ardillas, tortugas...) También tiene un cenote dentro del hotel en el que se puede hacer snorkel. La playa es hermosa, tiene como unos arrecifes de coral en el que se pueden ver pececitos con el snorkel. La comida excelente, muy variada y de buena calidad, tanto en los bufet como en los restaurants. La atención es inmejorable, la gente siempre tiene una sonrisa y está bien predispuesta. Lo único que no nos gustó demasiado fue la habitación, es rústica y no funciona demasiado bien el aire acondicionado y algunos otros problemitas técnicos (pero nada grave). Esto es si uno va a la habitación standard, con la tarifa más económica, porque si uno quiere más lujo, lo encuentra. Hay unas habitaciones hermosas junto a la piscina principal que, obviamente, cuestan más caras, pero quizás valgan la pena. Nos encantaron todas las actividades ofrecidas por el hotel, como los shows en el teatro o las ferias organizadas dentro del hotel para comprar artesanías, etc. Es un hotel para quedarse y disfrutarlo! He tenido la experiencia de mas de diez hoteles de la Riviera Maya y he tenido la fortuna de estar en el Sandos Caracol, el cual es excelente en sus servicios. De verdad....sumamente recomendable PARA VACACIONES FAMILIARES.

el servicio y el ambiente estubieron bien, lo recomendaria para disfrutar con la familia y sobre todo niños pequeños

solamente si tiene un poco de dificultad para dormir pida habitaciones que no se escuche el ruido de la discoteca

Nnos gusto mucho todo el ambiente ecolgico y los animales que hay, los ninos muy contentos con el aqua park. Lo unico es que la alberca principal es muy pequena para la capacidad del hotel. En general muy padre y muy agusto.

Esta todo justo por el precio, el aqua parque muy bien para los pequeños, el mar hermoso,la comida muy variada.los empleados serviviales. solamente estan muy humedas las habitaciones, para mi alergia. de resto todo en orden

Es muy lindo el hotel, pero dada la lejanía con los centros comerciales de Cancún, sería bueno que ofrezcan un servicio gratuito como existe en otros hoteles para ir a Cancún y al centro de Playa del Carmen, ya que para nosotros al ser cinco personas de familia, no nos llevaban en un solo taxi y nos resultaba carísimo. Tampoco podíamos tomarnos un bus […] de línea porque el hotel está muy lejos de la carretera y era imposible llegar caminando. Continua a leggere

Es un resort muy grandes con muchas cosas para hacer. La comida es buena. Las habitaciones algo pequeñas. El aqua park está padrísimo para los niños.

el comentario de mi hija despues de dos dias fue papa escogiste el mejor hotel esta excelente. con todo y qu llovio dos dias de la semana que estuvimos siempre hubo cosas que hacer el cenote esta increible, mucha naturaleza, el kids club el mejor en el que hemos estado las muchachas un muy buen trato, mi hija hasta lloro cuando nos ibamos por que no […] queria. y que decir del aqua park justo lo que esperas para niños. estamos pensando en regresar pronto.
