Excellant hotel in Hue. Rooms very spacious and extremely clean. Food was very good, especially the buffet breakfast. Free internet in the lobby. Would definitely stay here again.

Fab stay at this hotel where staff are just so genuinely friendly. Buffet breakfast decent and lovely club sandwich. With it being 5 star, food was faIrly pricey and prohibited us from having dinner there although there were plenty of restaurants within walking distance so this wasn't an issue. Also, the charges for tours was far higher than could be […] brought at local tour operators eg. we were quoted $360 for a DMZ tour which we got for $125 locally. We had a great affordable rate paying 2 nights for 3 nights stay, our room was on 14th floor giving us wonderful view of Hue City so would stay at this hotel again despite our comments above. Please be aware of cyclos as we did use one once and got stitched up with the overall charge being far higher than what we thought we had agreed. Continua a leggere

This was a nice hotel with very attentive staff and good facilities (great spa) but the room was slightly dated and damp. Also the wifi was shockingly bad! During our Vietnam trip we experienced better rooms and wifi at much lower end places. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in, period!!! Stunning service, great comfort, great views. Get a river view suite for stunning views of 2 thirds of the city. They even let us check out late by 4 hours when our flight was delayed. A brilliant luxury hotel. The pictures do not show how great this place is. Book it now!!!

This is a lovely hotel with a great location and fab rooftop views and bar. On my husbands birthday the staff left beautiful flowers in our room and the evening delivered a birthday cake complete with personalised message in icing! Really appreciated this generosity when so far from home!!!

Very modern and comfortable hotel. Quite big and therefore slightly impersonal in its service. Attentive staff: I had forgotten my small rucksack in the lobby after having the free beer offered everyday and it was safely kept by the concierge, no problem whatsoever. Good location in the city, just across the river from the citadel.

A modern clean hotel that should meet most western needs. Had adjoining rooms for our stay which was a great bonus with the kids. Its a very bland high rise building but it is easy to see which helps for naviating around town. Location is a fair but manageable walk to the Citadel if thats what you are in Hue for. Hotel is in a great location, 10 minute walk from Citadel and close to the tombs. Food is excellent and the pool is nice. Lookout at roof of hotel provides great views of perfume river and city. I would rate this hotel at least 8.5/10

A very well appointed hotel. rooms are clean and roomy, Staff were friendly, helpful and very efficient. An excellent selection of both Asian and Western food was offered for breakfast.

The Imperial Hotel in Hue was well located and we discovered our Tour Agency Stop & Go Travel turned out to be right across the street from the hotel. We had a double room which had a lot of beautiful wood details, was very good size and we had a beautiful view of the lake. The breakfast was also very good with a lot of variety. I would recommend this hotel. It was clean and had a friendly staff. Rooms were spacious and attractive with cable TV. breakfast was included and was not bad. There was a restaurant on the first floor with decent food and a nice roof top bar.

This hotel has it all, I can't really rank which one I like the most : great location - right in the heart of Hue overlooking Perfume river, less than 10 minute cab ride to the Palace; beautiful room with the Vietnamese traditional theme yet modern; friendly and excellent service from the bellman, reception to the kitchen staff; delicious vietnamese […] cuisine with top service... Lovely grand, clean hotel. Good deep swimming pool. A good variety of buffet breakfast. The doormen were always friendly and welcoming. Room service was efficient. Thought we had the wrong place at first Surely we can't be staying here, but no great value. Well apointed, in a colonial style, the breakfast had plenty of choice and roof top bar superb view of city. If you are eating out go over the road to the Mandarin Resteraunt - the best in Hue, the owner is a keen photographer and top bloke

Staff are very curteous and helpful. It is a little old fashioned in terms of decor but was clean and comfortable. Can't comment on the pool area as it was raining during our 1 night stay there.

This is a lovely hotel and is located in a central position overlooking the river. The hotel is well kept and well run. The room was big and very comfortable. The breakfast was OK but not magnicent. I would expect freshly squeezed juice in a 5*. The pool is small and on the 3rd floor. This means there is no garden or grounds but there is a small terrace […] with beds and chairs. Hotel stay was marred by their failure to collect us from the airport as booked. This lead to a frustrating wait at the terminal in very hot weather. We discovered that the staff were unable or unwilling to acknowledge their mistake. Staff were generally not very friendly and hospitable, with the exception of the doormen. The hotel is very lovely, and the room is spacious and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is in a relatively central location, close to the main street when all the restaurants are. We walked across the bridge to the citadel, about 15 minutes.

Loved this hotel! We only stayed in hue for a night stopover on the way to Hanoi - however were glad we did. The hotel was immaculate, the staff were friendly and the view was incredible. It provided us with a day to enjoy all the comforts of home and more in the middle of a busy & tyring holiday.

This is the prime hotel to stay at in Hue and is well located to visit the Citadel, markets and the Perfume River trip. The kids loved the breakfast!

Exellent services. The Breakfast was excellent. We took some tours from the hotel, and they were great. We also took a private car ride from the hotel to our next destination, Danang, the driver was very nice, and thoughtful. We really liked the hotel.

The Imperial thoroughly deserves its 5 star rating. It is a new well appointed hotel but its best point is the attitude of the staff. Nothing was too much trouble and its a long time since we've been in a hotel where all levels of staff tried so hard to please and give good service. Very nice hotel in Hue, we spent 3 nights there in December. Great location, you can walk everywhere easily and there are a lot of good restaurants nearby. We had a suite on the 14th floor (though when we there it seemed like most people were on the 14th floor which was a little odd.) The regular rooms were also nice, elegant decor, marble tiled bathrooms, […] all in all a beautiful hotel. Lobby and public areas are lovely. We ate at the Japanese restaurant one night and it was very good and reasonably priced. My husband used the sauna/steam room one night and liked it but the staff followed him everywhere which wasn't what he expected (or wanted). The concierge (and all of the staff) was very helpful, helped arrange a few tours (taxi rides) for us that turned out exactly what we wanted. The only negative aspect was that for such a nice building, the rooms are not as soundproof as one might expect them to be. We could hear activity in the corridors and from the rooms next to us, maybe that's something that can be fixed, if so, that would make it a perfect hotel. Continua a leggere

First of all we think this is definitely one of the best hotels not only in Hue but also in Vietnam. It definitely has 5 star facilities. Here are some issues we found during our stay. First of all, we discovered our safe box is not working. We called front desk and a staff checked and told us it needed a new battery. After an hour, nothing happened. […] Once again we called front desk, another staff came up and did the same thing, told us it need new battery then left. After another 2 hours we came down to front desk and asked again where is the new battery? because we want to put our passports away before we can go out. Finally, we got a new safe box after 4 hours. tour group finish. The other issue is wifi service. This is not only for Imperial hotel but hotels around Vietnam during our trip. We just cant get signal in our room. the only spot we can get some signal is the bathroom. Royal spa is another great spot not used by most of the guests. We used the steambath and sauna twice and it is like a private service. We truely enjoyed the experience at royal spa. We experienced our best and some of our worst experiences in Vietnam at Imperial hotel Hue. We loved this hotel, considering the price we paid it was great value for money. We will definitely come back here again. We also hope the hotel could train staff dealing with some irregular situlations. The best hotel we have stayed at in Vietnam. Location of the hotel was great. rooms were big and our River view room provided good views. Staff were fantastic and most helpful. Bar on top level (level 16) provided the best views ever. Breakfast was first class. The small casino provided a lot of fun.

Well, OK, it's south of the river and that is where everything that isn't low rise and older is in Hue. It's actually in a very good part of town. The hotel is very good, the staff are helpful and the breakfast buffet is excellent. I was particularly happy with the cheeseboard. Room service, however, isn't that great. Orders are taken efficiently enough […] and arrive quickly but the food itself isn't very good. Not to worry though, there are plenty of restaurants both in the hotel and nearby. The hotel's location at Hung Vuong is good as it is a short walk to Dong Ba Market across the bridge and there are many tour agencies near the hotel, eg. Mandarin Cafe, Stop & Go and Sinh Cafe. However, I find that the service staff at the reception are a little cold and not that friendly / warm in their service. The room was in general clean, but […] we could detect urine smell and there were mosquitos in the lift and room. The breakfast spread were not fantastic and service staff were not that friendly either. We have given feedback to the hotel and they have responded with an apology. Great hotel. If you want to splash out this is the hotel for you. And the cost is reasonable for a 4.5 star hotel. Fantastic views of the river from the rooms. Great rooftop bar to have a drink and admire the view. Food is great. The hotel dining is fantastic. Shame not many people stay for dinner in the evening. Yes, its expensive compared to eating […] out but its more high quality food. Give this one a go if you want a bit of luxury. Also treat yourself to a private massage with your own steam room and jacuzzi. Worth it.
