Lindner Hotel Am Michel Amburgo

After having reviewed several hotels I decided for Lindner due to the nice rooms and the location. It was very strange to me that the room we got on the day of arrival had two single beds rather than a doublebed - my boyfriend arrived from London and we hoped for a romantic weekend. Having requested a doublebed instead, we were only offered a room in […] the smoking floor (not acceptable for non-smokers (and we even checked the rooms)!) or to pay for an upgrade. Apparently it was mentioned on the booking page hotels.com that Lindner could allocate rooms on the day of arrival but I felt cheated since you would expect as a couple to get a doublebed room (so would you expect that i.e. the toilet is in the room, wouldn't you?). Even talking to the manager didn't help since apparently we chose the booking category. I would recommend to clearly point this fact out on the booking page to avoid disappointed for more couples. The hotel didn't offer any kind of compensation/commercial gesture and only insisted it was the booking condition. From a customer point of view I was very unhappy and I don't think the stuff handled this case well. The aim of a hotel making their customers happy was clearly not achieved. I got a good price and thought i got good value for money. this is a clean trendy hotel with nice rooms. close to the hotel is a restaurant called the "Commercial Room" that is definetely worth a try! Gym was ok space.

Very nice hotel and very reasonable rate for a four star hotel. The only critisism i have is that they always have twin single beds not a double and quilts are really nice but in the summer they should change them as they are far too thick and hot and they do not provide a sheet, so you have to use them. Very pleasant and modern hotel close to the harbour in Hamburg. Convenient location in a quiet street and a lavish breakfast. Hamburg was pretty cold at the time, so the furry bedspreads were particularly attractive! The shower room is kind of 'open-plan', so might not suit all tastes/ shy people; not an issue for single travellers.

This is our second stay at this hotel and we would go back again. Very clean and fresh with friendly staff who speak great English. Good location within 5 mins of the station and withing 15 mins of just about everywhere you want to go. Things to point out though is that the lower rooms on the front are close to the cobbled streets and can be noisy in […] the early morning - ask for a room facing inside. Dejligt og venligt hotel der ligger indenfor gå afstand til forretningsgaderne og havnens nye boligområde.

Rigtigt godt hotel med meget fine værelser og god service

Dejligt sted med hjælpsomt personale. I forbindelse med toilettet på værelset burde der være håndvask i toiletrummet. Det støjer i selve værelset, hvis man skal på toilettet om natten og dermed forstyrrer ens partner. Super morgenmad der er pengene værd.

Ti minutters gang fra U-bahn. 30 minutters gang fra centrum. Hvis morgenmaden forekommer lidt for dyr, er der et godt og rimeligt billigt alternativ på den anden side af gaden

War 4 Naechte im Hotel Lindner. Die eignetliche Zimmerausstattung ist gut bis sehr gut - angenehme Betten, grosszuegige Schreibtischflaeche, Zimmersafe vorhanden usw. Und dann kommen viele kleine "aber": - die Innenaufteilung des Schranks ist ausgesprochen unpraktisch (kaum Ablageflaechen fuer Waesche, da Safe und Minibar bereits die meisten Faecher […] besetzen, nur die obersten und untersten Ablagen sind frei; - Koffer kann man nicht wirklich im Hauptteil abstellen, da dort noch eine Schuhablage den Boden einengt); - das WC ist ein einem kleinen Kabuff mit nach innen oeffnender Tuer (offene Tuer = Klopapier nicht erreichbar); - das Standardaergerniss - eine Flasche Wasser "fuer Ihre Erfrischung"steht bereit und mit keinem Wort wird erwaehnt, dass man dafuer bezahlen soll, angesichts der happigen Zimmerpreise schlicht unnoetig; - Fruehstueck kostet separat - an sich ok, denn man wird explizit darauf hingewiesen; es ist ein umfangreiches Buffet, aber: fuer 20 Euro wuerde ich erwarten, dass dass Schinken, Wurst (eine billige Salami, die noch der Saft aus der Plasikverpackung benetzt) und Kaese (Gouda- und Emmentaler-Scheiben aus der Billigpackung) nicht erkennbar vom Discounter stammen Mein Fazit: koennte ein tolles Hotel sein (auch die Lage ist mein bevorzugtes Gebiet fuer einen Hamburgaufenthalt), aber all der Kleinkram kollidiert mit den nach aussen getragenen Werbespruechen und zieht mich dann doch eher nicht wieder dorthin. Das Hotel liegt in einer Superlage, die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, Frühstück klasse.

Suveränt snyggt hotell med vackra rum och sköna sängar. Rent, snyggt och fräscht. Svindyr frukost. Dock finns café runt hörnet. Varning för obegripliga avbokningsregler. Du måste vara säker vid boknng att du kan komma. (Du måste boka av en månad innan du har bokat???).

Wir waren vom Aufenthalt im Linder Hotel Hamburg begeistert! Das Personal an der Reception war zuvorkommen und freundlich. All unsere Fragen und Anliegen wurden mit einem Lächeln erfüllt. Sogar das E-Checking haben sie für uns übernommen. Das Zimmer war einfach grandios. Sehr grosszügig und in warmen Farben gestaltet. Man fühlte sich fort wohl! Der […] Spa- und Wellnessbereich ist ausbaufähig, reicht aber für eine kurze Erholung nach dem Stadtbummel. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten wie Shoppinmeile, Reeperbahn, Binnenalster und der Hafen sind in wenigen Gehminuten erreichbar. Das Hotel ist hervorragend und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Schade, dass das Wifi nicht kostenlos ist, das kennen wir von anderen Hotels in diesem Stiel anders. Ich werde zukünftig bei jedem Aufenthalt in Hamburg in diesem Hotel übernachten. Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer in einem neueren Hotel im Hambrugischen Backsteinstil. Gut abgeschirmt von den Hauptverkehrsstrassen und trotzdem günstig gelegen im hübschen Neustadt Quartier (= Hamburger Altstadt!). Flexibler Service hat überzeugt; an kaltem Sommertag wurde das Dampfbad auf Anfrage auch 1/2 h länger angelassen. Am Morgen etwas längerer […] Stau beim Auschecken. We had a one night stay in the hotel. Reception area was very friendly and gave us a very good tip for a restaurant and made the reservation as well. Rooms were very modern and very well maintained. The hotel is not in the city centre, but withing a 10 min. walking distance to some of the main sites in Hamburg (Alster, Harbour, Speicherstadt and […] Reeperbahn). I will definately come back. Very nice quiet hotel very central. Hotel was new, clean and comfortable. If I should travel to hamburg once more, I would definately pick this hotel again.

Perfekt placering i forhold til Marathon. Mulighed for at lave kaffe og the på værelset, og med det lille køleskab havde vi selv mad med til selve løbsdagen. Dagen efter spiste vi morgenmad på hotellet. Den er lækker med dyr.

Ligger godt placeret i rolige omgivelser.

４つ星ホテルということで、値段相応のサービスでした。部屋は全体的に清潔感があり、ベッドメークも悪くはなかったのですが、空調の制御があまりよくなく、時差のせいでもあるのですが、真夜中午前一時頃に暑くて目が覚めてしまいました。その後、空調を止めて寝直したのですが、朝まで3日間、同じことを繰り返してしまいました。 　朝食はバイキングで20ユーロと少々高いですが、とても美味しく、満足しました。（私も含めて日本人はあまり食べないので割高ですが、ヨーロッパ人は退職ですので、それほどの割高感もないかとも思った次第です） 　一人旅で、仕事も忙しかったので、ディナーをゆっくりとっている時間がなく、レビューはできませんが、近くにとても美味しいパン屋さんがあり、サンドイッチなどの軽食でよければ、とても安くあがりま […] す。 　3月始めのハンブルグはとても寒く、観光で訪れるところではないですね。私はビジネスの目的を十分に果たした旅でしたので、ホテルのワービスも悪い印象を持たなかったかのかもしれません。 　 Continua a leggere

Das Hotel wird von mir wieder gebucht, wenn ich ALLEINE reise. Zu ZWEIT sind die Zimmer unmöglich: Alle Zimmer haben einen völlig offenen Badbereich ohne Zwischenwand, so dass jede Aktivität vom Zimmernachbarn beobachtbar ist. Nur das sehr kleine WC ist separat. Diese Konstruktion war aus der Zimmerbeschreibung nicht ersichtlich. Man müsste aber darauf […] hinweisen, da jeder Mensch eine unterschiedliche Privatzone braucht - auch zusammen mit dem Partner. Das Hotel, als auch das Zimmer, war sauber und modern. Speziell das offene Bad, also nicht vom Wohnbereich durch eine Tür getrennt, war innovativ. Das einzige was bei unserem Aufenthalt negativ auffiel, war das hauseigene Restaurant - im Detail: Durch einen geplanten Musicalbesuch waren recht früh (17:30) essen - zu dieser Zeit war die Raumtemperatur […] unangenehm kühl. Bestellt hatten wir uns ein Entrecote und einen Zander. Der Fisch war solide, aber nichts besonderes. Das Fleisch war technisch gut, das Kartoffelgratin und das Gemüse waren solide. Doch hätte man bei dem Preis nicht erwartet, dass eine sehr große Sehne das Fleisch durchzog. Als wir uns freundlich bei der Kellnerin beschwerten, meinte Sie kurz angebunden das sei üblich, dass sie die Sehne nicht entfernen und Glückssache sei ob man eine Sehne im Entrecote hat oder nicht. Wir fühlten uns nicht von der Kellnerin ernstgenommen, was vielleicht auch mit unserem Alter (25, 23) zusammenhängen könnte. Bei der nachfolgenden Beschwere an der Rezeption wurden wir jedoch ernst genommen und man hat sich freundlich bei uns für den Vorfall entschuldigt - zu unserer Überraschung bekamen wir sogar eine Flasche Sekt auf das Zimmer. Fazit: Von der Lage und vom Zimmer ist das Hotel weiterzuempfehlen, jedoch empfehlen wir ein außerhalb zu Essen. Continua a leggere

Uitstekend hotel op loopafstand van winkelcentra met goede services. Het ontbijt was prima maar 20 euro vonden we toch wat aan de prijzige kant. Sommige personeelsleden bij de receptie mogen echter wel wat vriendelijker kijken als een hotelgast arriveert. Een vriendelijke lach doet immers wonderen!

Wir haben unseren 5-tägigen Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Das Hotel Lindner am Michel ist einfach genial! Super Lage (nahe vom Zentrum, Hafen und Reeperbahn), schöne Hotelanlage, saubere Zimmer und sehr freundliches Personal. Erholung pur! Wir würden sofort wieder in dieses Hotel einchecken.
