Hotel valido, ma con qualche pecca. La foto che lo reclamizza, su tutti i siti, mette in primo piano la spiaggia con i lettini prendisole dell'hotel, evidentemente portati là per fotografare e poi riportati sulla striscia di sabbia di pertinenza, sopra una rampa di un 2-3-metri di pietre. La spiaggia fotografata è contigua ma non ha nessun tipo di attrezzatura, né ombrelloni né altro e non pare di pertinenza dell’hotel. Quanto al personale, contrariamente a quanto segnalato in altre recensioni, ho trovato solo gentilezza e disponibilità, sorrisi e premure. E’ vero che con alcuni c’è difficoltà a comunicare, perché parlano poco o niente di inglese, che è poi un....thai english, difficile da capire anche se lo parlano. Comunque, con un po’ di pazienza e cortesia – e un po’ di mimica - ci si capisce. Alla reception ho fatto presente che la stanza prenotata sarebbe stata per me un…calvario, avendo io qualche problema a salire rampe e gradini: le stanze sono tutte raggiungibili appunto con salite o scale ripide con gradini alte. Il receptionist mi ha proposto la camera praticamente sul mare, senza scale né salite. Ovviamente ho pagato l’upgrading (ne valeva la pena), che con una specie di trattativa fatta di battute e risate di due minuti, mi hanno spontaneamente ridotto del 20%. La nostra camera (n. 102), credo la migliore, era enorme, molto bella, con un bel letto king in stile Thai, e fornita di tutto (accappatoi, ciabattine, oggetti da bagno, bottiglie grandi di acqua, frigobar a prezzi normali, cassaforte, boiler per caffè e the, con molte bustine varie e nescafè), divano in vimini, molto bello, che faceva da separazione per un secondo letto, uguale all’altro, ma a una piazza e mezza (comunque non utilizzato). Il bagno era grandissimo, con la doccia a pavimento, inserita in una specie di montagnola con conchiglie applicate: a casa non la vorrei davvero, ma nel contesto era scenografica e divertente, ben distanziata dal wc e dal lavandino; le pareti tutte rivestite d

Il pernottamento è stato buono, i bungalow sono carini e puliti, aria condizionata e molte attività prenotabili al resort. Inoltre è posizionato vicinissimo all'imbarcadero per le altre isole, si arriva a piedi, 100 mt. circa.

Prima volta nel 2010 e ci siamo trovati benissimo,con trattamento b&b, colazione ottima e la sera lungo la spiaggia c'erano ottimi ristorantini a prezzi economici- 2° volta agosto 2011 sempre b&b, colazione meno curata e con carenze specialmente nell'assortimento della frutta e nei succhi, l'anno prima erano tutti freschi. Gli italiani presenti, con cena compresa, si sono tutti lamentati tanto che usavano il coupon per l'hamburger a pranzo e per la cena uscivano. Purtroppo i ristorantini sulla spiaggia sono spariti per lasciare il posto a trappole per turisti, dove il cibo lascia molto a desiderare e il prezzo non è basso.

L'hotel ci è piaciuto molto, è il posto ideale dove rilassarsi e non pensare a nulla, lasciarsi coccolare nella SPA oppure prendere il sole nella spiaggia privata o a bordo piscina. Sicuramente un posto per gli amanti della tranquillità, della riservatezza (spiaggia privata in cui ci sono in tutto forse 6 ombrelloni e 12 lettini), l'albergo consiste in diverse ville, di cui alcune con piscina privata, ed un palazzo con circa 30 camere, quindi è relativamente piccolo. Gli spazi comuni (ristorante, spiaggia, piscina, bar) sono invece molto ampi rispetto al totale delle persone che può ospitare l'hotel, e quindi si sta sempre molto tranquilli. La posizione è spettacolare, arroccato su un promontorio sulla baia, ed il servizio è ottimo.

We had a awesome experience at Nora Beach Resort. They treated us very well and I would love to go back to when I'm on my next trip to Koh Samui. To top the service they offered we also got a free upgrade which was sort of icing on the cake :)

"amazing hotel..cold breakfast!"
we stayed here from 31st dec 2011 to the 5th jan 2012 the resort its self is beautiful and the grounds are so well kept...we had room 8136 which had a private balcony and sea views...if u have a villa...u dont actually get the view....the pool is huge and the spa treatments were lovely..cheweng is so busy in high season that this was great as its 2/3 […] minutes up the road... the beach is litrally feet away from the pool... the only thing that we didnt like about this resort was that the buffet breakfast...although there is a huge choice...the hot food was actually cold. other than that it was a great place to stay and we will be coming back....make sure you get the hotel right though because there are 5 noras in samui..dont go for nori buri because its beside a dirty lake... Our stay of 3days was very good and comfortable. Hotel team was very very good and helpful in every need. Prompt service and very friendly. Even food at restaurant and breakfast was lovely.
"A slice of paradise"
We just returned from a two week visit to Asia, and we stayed in 3 different resorts during our time in Thailand. The Nora Beach resort would have to rank quite high among them. The resort is just around the corner from the beautiful open-air Samui airport and they make it quite simple to get to and from the airport (about 5 minutes) and Chaweng (about […] 2 minutes by car) with their own shuttle service. Making it quick and easy to get in and out of the island and around town. Despite this, there is NO airport noise. We didn't see or hear a plane the entire time. Upon arrival, you receive a refreshing cold towel and delicious welcome drink while checking in. As you look around, you realize what a slice of paradise the resort is. While it's just down the street from Chaweng, it is well-designed, avoiding all road noise and feels very quiet and secluded. We booked an ocean villa and I think we really lucked out, getting the one with the best view. We were a little concerned while booking the villa with how close the villa was to the pool (their website provides a map of the property), but never once was there excessive noise from the pool or anywhere else. Also, some people commented that they weren't private enough... while they are along the walkway to the pool and restaurant, we didn't notice any noise issues or problems with people walking by. The path is there, and people do move around, but never once did we feel like it was an issue. We were VERY pleased. It seems pretty standard to close the pool quite early in the evening. All the resorts we visited did this. Nora closed at 7 pm. This certainly prevented noise issues, but even during hours when the pool was open and the bar was open, we never heard a peep in our villa. As several people commented, the beach and ocean isn't that glassy, crystal clear water that you see around the area, but for us, this was no problem. "Very pleasant stay"
The ocean pool villa is definitely the pick of the rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The villa layout was brilliant. Not perfect in any regard, but pretty good.
"Charme of an old Highway motel"
We have stayed in total in 4 hotels in Koh Samui this December. The Nora was by far the worst. Old, quite unclean, terrible furnituring, totally unconvenient location, simply the Charme of an old highway Motel.

all aspects of our stay were excellent nothing was too much trouble the breakfasts were amazing not smack in the centre of town but for 200 baht or using the free hotel bus service it was fantastic
"Good atmosphere"
Sometimes it is hard to explain why one hotel is better than another but Nora looks much better than most hotels in Chaweng area , maybe it is the nice people who works in the hotel and maybe it is the pool bar it is hard to tell. The hotel is a real relaxing places to go the staff are more then help fall. We had some washing done and left some money in one of the pockets. On are return to the room we found are cloths all ironed and a envelope with the money in. Can't wait to go back, And the pool bar is great and so are the cocktails !!.

It was the second stay at this hotel and we would come back anytime! "Great ocean pool villa"
We stayed in the ocean pool villa for our honeymoon and it was awesome. Great room, pool, and private beach. The room service was good food and value. The only negative was the smell. The bay had a strange odor that was bearable but a bit of a nuisance. "Great experience for our honeymoon"
Really nice Ocean pool villa, big and comfortable with great service. Included breakfast was very good with a chef for omelets and special requests. Perfect location to be in a private area but close to Chawang and the airport (5 min taxi to both). 3歳の子供を連れて家族でバカンスに訪れました。 子供を連れで違和感なし 空港から近い（10分ぐらい） 近くの町までの利便性あり 眺めのよいヴィラ 適度のホテルの広さ プールと海との近さ 割安感 という点ではこちらのホテルはまさに、理想どうりでした。子供を連れてバカンスに3度ほど南の島に訪れていますが、ここが今までで一番過ごしやすかったです。

"Durchschnittlich"
Wir waren im November 2011 für 4 Tage im Nora Beach Resort & Spa. Dies war das dritte 4-Sterne-Hotel auf Koh Samui, das wir kennengelernt haben, und es war von allen dasjenige, das uns am wenigsten überzeugt hat. Das Hotel ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und das Zimmer war ok, aber wirklich nichts Besonderes. Die Anlage ist ganz schön, vor allem […] auch der Pool. Das Restaurant liegt direkt am Meer; das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet, aber das Abendessen war weniger gut. Vor allem war die Karte zuwenig abwechslungsreich. Dass wir einmal 15 Minuten warten mussten, um einen freien Platz beim Frühstück zu bekommen, fanden wir eines 4-Sterne-Hotels nicht würdig. Die 2er Band, die jeden Abend spielte, war höchstens mittelmässig und eher nervig. Leider konnten wir nie im Meer baden, da es an dieser Stelle immer sehr stürmisch war. Ausserhalb des Hotels gibt es ein paar wenige Shops und Restaurants, aber eigentlich ist man immer auf ein Transportmittel angewiesen. Es gibt einen Shuttle-Bus, der dreimal täglich gratis nach Chaweng fährt und abends stündlich für 50 Bhat pro Person. WLAN gibt es nur in der Hotellobby (gratis), vom WLAN im Zimmer (kostenpflichtig) wurde mir vom Personal abgeraten, da das Signal sehr schwach sei. Insgesamt fanden wir das Nora Beach ok, aber wirklich nicht überwältigend. Für diesen Preis gibt es bessere Hotels auf Koh Samui. Continua a leggere

"flott start på en super ferie"
Vi hadde booket 3 netter på Nora beach som starten på vår Thailand ferie. Vi var veldig godt fornøyd. Hyggelig pool område m utsikt over strand og sjø. Selvom stranden v hotellet ikke er super gjorde det fint lite. Hotellet hadde gratis hotell buss inn til Chaweng stranden(som forresten var nydelig å bade på) Deilig å ikke bo i selve Chaweng, aly for […] mye av alt, men alikevel enkelt og greit og ta en tur inn til "byen". Alt i alt et flott opphold,og vi valgte og avslutte vår 3 uker lange ferie m 2 netter på Nora Beach. Continua a leggere
"Smuk beliggenhed men middelmådig standard"
Hotellet er i den dyre ende og man forventer derfor en vis standard. Beliggenheden er smuk og det er rart at det ligger i udkanten af Chaweng by hvor der er mere roligt. Stranden er fredelig og ikke så overrendt af sælgere. Vi synes dog ikke at standarden på Superior Room var god nok til prisen. Hotellets service var heller ikke overvældende god. Personalet […] er flinke men virker lidt dovne og uerfarne. Det er også et problem at der spilles høj dance music ved poolen hele dagen. Nogen gange spilles der samtidig musik fra restauranten og så kan det være lidt generende. Efter vores vurdering passer det ikke helt med det rolige og afslappende image som hotellet gerne vil give indtryk af. Vi var også lidt overraskede over at den bus service som hotellet tilbyder ind til byen om aftenen koster noget. Det bør være gratis på et hotel som dette.
