Il Shibuya Tobu Hotel si è rivelato OTTIMO, in una posizione eccezionale, relativamente economico ma di fascia medio/alta. Camera piccola ma funzionale (in una città come Tokyo la camera server per dormire e basta), bagno pulito e in stile giapponese. Molto tranquillo di notte, nonostante il luogo in cui si trova (a meno di 500 metri ci sono le discoteche più frequentate di Tokyo e uno degli incroci più trafficati del Mondo). E' assolutamente antisismico (testato sul campo visto che c'è stata una scossa di terremoto di 5.6 che quasi non si è sentita). Mi sento di raccomandarlo a chiunue voglia fare una vacanza unica, il quartiere di Shibuya è il cuore di Tokyo e si possono trovare centinaia di ristoranti, bar, locali, negozi e grandi magazzini per tutte le tasche. A+++++++

Nel complesso, tornassi a Tokyo credo che vi soggiornerei ancora. Molti ristoranti e family marker aperti 24h nelle immediate vicinanze. Unica pecca:telefonata alle 12 per sapere se pulire la stanza(e io magari dormivo) e niente wi-fi in camera, solo LAN ....

Tutto ottimo, grande cortesia ed aiuto nella "soluzione dei problemi" anche di carattere personale. Ottimo Inglese, ottima colazione a buffet. Unico "neo" :la camera singola, oltre ad essere poco spaziosa e priva di armadio odorava di fumo di sigaretta. Grande vantaggio:il bus navetta che dall'aeroporto di Narita porta direttamente davanti all'albergo e viceversa.Ottima la zona vicinissima al Forum internazionale e piena di shopping centers e ristoranti.

La posizione è estremamente comoda perchè a piedi si può arrivare nella via principale di Ginza, alla stazione del treno e alla metro (linea principale). il personale è estremamente disponibile. le camere sono un po' piccole ma hanno tutti i comfort. si sente un po' il treno che passa difronte ma lo stesso vale per il dai-ichi hotel. intorno all'albergo ci sono molti ristoranti.
Posizione.
A Tokyo, in zona Akasaka, Hotel Monterey Hanzomon si trova a breve distanza dai seguenti luoghi di interesse: Teatro Nazionale, Tokyo, Giappone, Santuario di Yasukuni e Palazzo Imperiale, Tokyo, Giappone. Nella stessa area sono inoltre presenti: Palazzo della Dieta Nazionale e Biblioteca della Dieta Nazionale di Tokyo.

In questa area a confine della parte nordoccidentale di Ginza si trovano hotel eleganti e una buona selezione di piccoli ristoranti. Spettacolari di per sé, gli hotel comprendono il complesso New Otani, che vanta un giardino un tempo proprietà di un reggente Tokugawa, e l'ANA Hotel Tokyo, dove è possibile ammirare un panorama paragonabile solo a quello offerto dalla torre di Tokyo.

La posizione è un po defilata, ma resta ben servito dalla metropolitana infatti ha di fronte un'uscita della fermata Hanzomon (linea Z-uscita 5). Non essere a shinjuku ha anche i suoi vantaggi, dopo una giornata alla scoperta di Tokyo è bello stare un po' a riposo. Servizio e pulizia sono assicurati, il personale non parla granchè inglese ma la disponibilità […] e la cortesia rendono le difficoltà linguistiche quasi inesistenti. Hotel situato a ridosso della residenza imperiale, ma in una zona tranquillissima, residenziale di livello alto e servitissima dalla metro. Hotel essenziale senza particolari lussi, ma di una pulizia estrema, molto silenzioso con un rapporto qualità/prezzo eccellente. Ci tornerei volentieri.

Ottimo hotel per rapporto qualità/prezzo pagato. Difronte ad esso c'è l'entrata per la stazione Metro Hanzomon che ti collega con l'intera città. Per i possessori del JR-Pass, la stazione ferroviaria più vicina è distante 20 minuti a piedi, quindi l'hotel non è proprio vicino se non si vuole prendere la metro. La camera non era grandissima, ma comunque […] accettabile. Purtroppo il letto era molto piccolo (140 cm) per due persone... L'hotel è ubicato proprio di fronte la stazione metro Hanzomon per cui è facilissimo raggiungere tutti i principali punti di interesse della città. Nonostante la sua centralità è molto silenzioso e le camere sono pulite.

"Very comfortable Hotel"
The location is in very comfortable environment, clear and silent.The communication is convenient. And the room we stayed (Tripple room type) was beautiful and great.
it was a pretty good hotel, located in a great area, made getting to any place in tokyo very easy. the only draw back is that the hotel staff do not speak very good English, and it gets a bit frustrating at times. But other than that a great hotel.

The hotel is very conveniently located, away from the city noise, yet with an easy access to everything else, with one of the many subway entrances just across from the hotel. An excellent place for a runner with a beautiful park just around the corner. The room size was comfortable enough, and would stay in this hotel again.

Arrived there at night and there aren't much cozy restaurants or shop around there. The convenient store not much far but not too close. Eeventhough, The room is a little bit small but the bath room is awesome. Anway, recomend to stay for business purpose.

I should say this place is as good as the price can get. we were looking for an affordable place and yet convenience. if that was what u are looking for then i highly recommend this place. none of the noise and crowd but easy to get to anywhere u wanna go. i wouldnt mind staying here again love the toilet by the way

A pleasant stay in the hotel, the location is very quiet neighborhood with not much night life around, the nearest Family Mart even close at 11pm. The hotel is very close to the Metro station, and although the Metro line doesn't go through many popular places but transit is easy enough. Stayed here for 4 nights as result of a sick deal from hotels.com. The hotel is in a very nice and quiet slice of Central Tokyo but really close to pretty much everything. A taxi or subway ride to anywhere is just minutes away. The hotel is right next to the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon line, very convenient. The breakfast surcharge is reasonable but there […] are plenty of places to eat nearby for cheap, bakeries, ramen, convenience stores, etc. The best thing about this hotel is probably how quiet it is at night. Great location, right next to the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon line. Friendly staff, only minus was the room's AC unit was broken, we just opened the window and it cooled down pretty quick. Would stay here again.

Stayed at the Hanzomon for 2 nights in a triple capacity room. The hotel is only a 1,500yen (~$20) cab ride from Tokyo station but it's in a business district so everything shuts down quite early and there is very little around the hotel besides a convenient store and a couple of standing bars. The room was nothing to rave about but it was clean and […] the beds were somewhat comfortable. It's literally across the street from a subway station and the one day subway pass was definitely worth it. We were also able to rent bicycles at the hotel and ride around the palace. Japan has many little treasures, this being one of them. While cheap, it's fairly clean, very quite, close to a very low cost train station... On the flip side, the rooms air conditioning left a lot to be desired, and the room was showing some pretty heavy wear and tear (stained carpets, marked up walls.) The hotel is close to a "family mart" offering […] 7-11 style convenience door and drink. There's also a bakery close by, with tasty pastries. The hotel offeres an in house restaurant, which will cost you quite a bit. To some up, this hotel is worth the money, it's the only hotel that will offer you complementary wifi in that price range. Carpet and walls were really dirty. Carpet is pretty much black. Chunks of drywall were coming off. The only decent part was the bathroom.

Absolute central location in the heart of Tokyo, but very quiet neighbourhood. The subway entrance (Hanzomon st.) is just opposite the hotel. There few supermarkets, nice cafe and a restaurant very clause to the hotel. Small but very clean room with a comfortable bed, good breakfast at reasonable price. The service is very friendly. "Excellent service in convenient area"
Conveniently located across the street from Hanzomon station. Had the triple room and was a great size for three adults. The bathroom was spacious and the tub huge (relative to Tokyo sized rooms). Very quiet. Forgot a charger in the room, called the hotel the next day and they mailed it to our next hotel in Kyoto. Very accommodating and helpful!

Couldn't have asked for a closer location to the metro stop. Got stuck in Tokyo and found this hotel on hotels.com. and I think we got a standard double, which was in a very small but clean room with a double bed (and rice maker). We stayed another night (unexpectedly) and they upgraded us to a larger room (not by much), but at least we had more room […] for luggage. It's a nice modern hotel in a quiet business/residential neighborhood with a few restaurants nearby and a market. For Americans with no Japanese, though, it was tough in the neighboring restaurants b/c all menus were in Japanese only. We did a lot of pointing (and there is the market nearby for snacks). Compared to other hotels in central Tokyo, this is an absolute bargain. The hotel staff are extremely well spoken, friendly and polite. Very efficient check in and check out service. The rooms are slightly on the small side but it feels comfortable rather than cramped. The bathroom is fine with excellent shower power. Hanzomon Station (Exit 5) is literally […] across the road the hotel - and it only takes 10 minutes to Shibuya from here. Ishigaya Station (on the JR Line) is only 10-15 minutes away from the hotel on foot. The surrounding area of the hotel is upscale but fairly quiet. There are one or two decent restaurants, noodle houses and bakeries within 100m of the hotel - Ganges Indian restaurant is particularly good. "Hanzomon Station is close by"
This is in the business district and nothing much to see. the good thing about this hotel is that it is just across the hanzomon station. there are 4 family mart convenience stores nearby and 1 24hour fast food restaurant where you buy your meal via a Food ticket machine.

Hotel Monterey Hanzomon is a good example of a comfortable hotel in a not so touristy area. The pros are larger than average rooms, hotel decor is still nice and new, heaps of family marts nearby, and lastly the subway is just across the road. The only con is it's a boring area with nothing to do at all - except for the Imperial Palace next door. Pretty much a commercial area, without much in the way of food options catering for families (ie. non-smoking). Travelling by train requires transfer at next station to join other more 'popular' lines. Great hotel though - friendly staff, very high standard of maintenance.

"receipt and hot shower"
in general, hotel service is good. two of my concern while I were there: (1) even we book from website, but we still need a official receipt (2) hot shower is unstable, fortunately, the weather is not too cold. Hope the hotel can be improved before my next stay.

The hotel is on a quiet street with several choices of restaurants nearby for a meal. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Of course it was small, but that's typical for the small price. The service was friendly and attentive. We would go back.
