L'hotel si trova in un'ottima posizione, vicino alla stazione e al Colosseo e proprio di fronte c'è la metro, quindi è comodissimo per spostarsi ovunque. La stanza era molto pulita, però le finiture sono rovinate, si vede che è un hotel datato, e la carenza più grave è la doccia a livello di pavimento e senza tenda (!!!): ogni volta che ti lavi allaghi […] inevitabilmente il bagno, cosa che per un 4 stelle è inamissibile. Altra nota negativa, la prima notte nella camera a fianco c'era una coppia di orientali, e lei è andata avanti ad urlare sguaiatamente contro il compagno per un'ora e mezza buona, rendendoci il sonno impossibile finchè un'altra cliente fortunatamente l'ha zittita. Ma questa non è una colpa dell'hotel... A colazione c'è un'ampia scelta di cibo dolce e salato, ma si punta più sulla quantità che sulla qualità. Un pregio è la possibilità di lasciare i bagagli in hotel anche dopo il check-out. Complessivamente consiglierei l'hotel a chi cerca un punto di appoggio per girare Roma, comodo e pulito,ma senza aspettarsi un soggiorno di lusso. Continua a leggere

Posizione eccellente con metro davanti l'ingresso dell'hotel. Colazione esagerata, specialmente il reparto dolci. 10 minuti a piedi dal colosseo. Fermata autobus davanti l'albergo. Personale ottimo. Consigliatissimo.

La posizione dell'hotel è molto buona infatti basta attraversare la strada per prendere la metro. le camere sono accoglienti anche se per un 4 stelle mi aspettavo di piu. il bagno è nuovo e vi sono oltre alle saponette molti altri gadget in omaggio. ho apprezzato molto il fatto che non ho mai visto queste cose in altri hotel neanche all estero. l unica […] PECCA di questo hotel è il personale, non tanto alla reception quanto il personale di sala. ho soggiornato una notte e quando la mattina sono scesa a fare colazione la sala era quasi vuota, erano occupati solo 3 tavoli, e c erano delle casse che riproducevano musica. la cosa sconcertante è che i camerieri si sono messi a cantare e le voci si sentivano dalla cucina, alquanto sgradevole, ma mai quanto il fatto che mentre stavamo ancora facendo colazione hanno iniziato a sparecchiare, e a portare via tutto parlando oltre tutto degli affari loro, delle cose successe ai loro parenti. hanno persino portato via le bevante e spento la macchina dei succhi di frutta, e noi che stavamo mangiando pancetta non potevamo bere, e la sete era molta. Le stanze singole sono piccolissime, troppo piccole e la moquette probabilmente è pulita, ma è piena di macchie che da l'impressione sia sporca. Buona la pulizia giornaliera e la biancheria. Il personale è molto cordiale e disponibile. La colazione ottima. La posizione ottima in quanto c'è la fermata del metrò fuori dall'hotel.

Ottimo Hotel. comodissimo alla metro linea A per il centro. Camere eleganti e curate. Un po' rumorose a causa del traffico, forse sarebbe opportuna l'installazione dei doppi vetri. Colazione stupefacente ottima, con ogni varietà di frutta, alimenti dolci salati ecc. consigliatissimo

Posizionato davanti alla fermata metro Manzoni e di notte ben collegato con la linea bus n1,personale qualificato e di una gentilezza unica,l'unica pecca sono stati i piumoni macchiati in camera e forse un 4 stelle dovrebbe fare caffè e cappuccini espressi e non con una macchinetta automatica,ma nel complesso hotel molto soddisfacente.

Liked the hotel and its location. The room faced the street and was extremely loud. There is no sound insulation so sleeping was not too easy. Nice buffet breakfast. Wifi included.

We just returned from our trip to Italy and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of Hotel Milton Roma in Rome, Italy. The staff was very welcoming, kind and helpful and spoke very good English. Our room was cleaned, and fresh towels were provided daily. The room was large enough to provide what we needed with a beautiful view. The best part […] - it is right across the street from the Manzoni Metro stop which is very helpful! We walked to most locations and saw beautiful sights along the way. To top it off, their breakfast is amazing!!! Tons of delicious fresh pastries and so much more each morning! PERFECT CHOICE FOR US! The hotel is just 10 meters away from the Metro which is very handy when you have been walking the whole day. The condition of the hotel is average but the same goes to any budget hotel in Rome. Do not worry about those comments about noise, it is true, but it comes with the territory when you are in Rome and by the time you come back you'll be knackered […] and won't hear a thing. Clean, well located and that is all. Staff was friendly but not accurate, No in-room Cattle or anything that might contribute to your confort actually. Carpets need a major re-do.

Hotel Milton Roma is right at the metro stop, making it very convenient for a Roman holiday. It is also a short walk to the Collesseum. There are not a lot of great restaurants in the area, but just 2 minutes is a nice place - Il Cavallo Bianco. The room was surprisingly big, for a European hotel. The bed was a true double, and not two thin beds pushed […] together. It is on a busy street, but the street noise is not bad at night. The staff speak English and are very helpful. The breakfast is good, with a lot of variety and plenty to eat. The only draw back was weak wireless, on our second night, it was only working in the lobby. Great location and all round pleasent stay. Breakfast is decent enough, standard continental and its until 10.30am. 15 mins Walk to coloseum and Termini.

Perfect walking distance to most sites in Rome, room was clean and comfortable but with such an amazing city you don't spend any time in the room.

Good breakfast and clean bed, white linens & towels with reasonable prices. Just at metro station Manzoni which is good for travel but a little noisy during nigth.

I booked single room. However, the room is not in the main building, but in the back section with staff break room and linen storage. this is not a problem. the problem is the smell of mold in the room. the water form shower runs to the whole floor of the bathroom and also socks the carpet in the main room. I went to the front desk to tell them the […] problem, but was told there is no other available. I couldn't waste my precious time to argue with them , but left a note requested to change a room. We really liked this hotel. It was very close to the Metro station and we could access the central train station easily. Breakfast was good with very convienent hours of service. The are several good restaurants within a few blocks. The staff was very helpful and friendly.

I recommend this hotel. On Metro line that makes the sites convenient. Great breakfast. Checkin person had an attitude but perhaps this comes with being in Rome. Only negative thing--no wifi. I would stay here again.

This hotel is right across from a great subway station. It was also in walking distance to the Coliseum. Our room was small and the shower (at least in our room) did not have any shower stall or shower curtain. So when you took a shower you showered in the whole bathroom. This may have been the European way however other hotels we stayed in over there […] did have a containment for the shower. It was interesting. Once you got used to it, it was fine just different. this is a really decent hotel and staff were very friendly. the room was good size and very clean. we really enjoyed the breakfast bar, there was lot of choice. The location of hotel is good with subway and bus stops just outside the hotel and only 15 min walk to termini and about 10 min walk to the coliseum. we enjoyed our stay there and strongly recommend […] this hotel. Very convenient to the subway and bus lines. Within walking distance to Collesum and the Forum. Several restaurants within walking distance as well shops and bars. The front desk staff was very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. When we go back to Rome we plan on staying at the Hotel Milton Roma again.

The location is amazing. My wife and I were able to walk to the Colosseum and Trevi Fountain. The colosseum was just over a half mile away and a straight shot down the same road as the hotel. The Trevi Fountain was a short quarter mile to half mile walk from the Colosseum. The metro station was literally right across the street from the hotel. We used […] that to get to Vatican City and the Spanish Steps. You could not beat the location of the hotel. However, although the rooms had good size, we did not feel that they were as clean as they could be. For example, the carpet in our room just seemed to be a little warn/dirty and the bathroom shower could have been cleaned a little better. There were some scuff marks on the walls. The beds were firm, which I did not personally like, but some people do. There is also no fitness facility for those that may be interested in that. Overall though, the room was comfortable to be in and the hotel itself was clean. The hotel did offer a decent spread for breakfast so it is worth the additional cost to include with our room when we booked. There are plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Although not a true four star hotel in my opinion, I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit the historic attractions Rome has to offer. If you are vacationing to Rome and not concerned with seeing the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Vatican City and/or Spanish Steps, then I would suggest that you find a more modern/upgraded hotel with a few more amenities. Small rooms (as usual in Europe). Clean. Very good breakfast. Most important - must ask for a room in the internal wing: my room was on the side facing the street (Viale Manzoni), so it was very noisy at night - ambulances, car honks, rail tram,...

Great friendly staff. The room was functional and clean and the location of the hotel very good. But it just isn't worth of the it's four star rating or price. For example the bar never opened. No wifi in the rooms.

Strongly recommended especially if it's your first time in Rome. Have stayed there twice so far and would do it again. Convenient to find, right outside Manzoni Metro. Helpful staff capable of three languages at the same time. There is even occasionally an evening bar service with food, despite the claim on the website that it's B&B only. This is never a four star hotel! The staff were five star, and the location reasonable. I came back to my room after a day out to discover a lot of ants running around my room - I have video footage. On my return to my room the second day, my room had not been vacuumed and my bed had been remade, but the sheets had not been changed. The bed was small, […] I'm only six foot, and my feet were hanging out of the bed. The shower was a mystery, and the curtain did not fit so the bathroom got soaked during every shower, considering it was 30-40 degrees, that's a lot of showers! Continua a leggere

We stayed last week in this hotel on our visit to Rome. Good location from which you can walk to the main attractions in the city. Very tasty breakfast. Hotel room was a big "old", though clean and included A/C which is important in the summer in Rome. Staff were helpful and smilingly. Overall, good hotel for low price!

This is a good hotel with a good location - Metro Manzoni is just across the street. Our room was noisy from street traffic but staff and food were very good.

Had to change rooms twice due to a water leakage and a very, very small room (single room, but felt like a jail cell). The hotel was very accomating in changing rooms, but this did cause an inconvenience:-( However, the breakfast, hotel staff and hotel location was just superb!

We stayed in July 2011 at the Milton Roma and found it, in short, to be an excellent choice for the money and a hotel we would definitely go back to. The big problem with Roman hotels is that the more central the location, the more they cost and the worst the quality of hotel and service seems... After being to Rome, I would say the most central location […] is around the Trevi Fountain or Panthenon - but it is hard to get hotels there that are inexpensive. So - how did the Milton Roma stack up? LOCATION - Very good, being just about 400 meters from the Colosseum and a short walk to the other sights such as the Roman Forum. To be honest we walked to ALL of the main sights around Rome from the hotel, and for places like the Vatican we just caught the Metro which was across the road from the hotel - perfect! (The Metro is the underground railway which is very cheap, quick and easy. Get a map from reception though and study beforehand as there are red and blue lines which we got mixed-up one day wasting a few precious hours of holiday time!) The hotel is in a bit of a visually-unimpressive location with a bit of local graffiti, but we always felt safe as it is all main roads outside. The bonus is that on the walk to the Colosseum you go past a small supermarket and an ATM on the right after a few hundred metres which is perfect for getting some cash out of for the day and stocking up with water for trekking! The Hotel itself was clean, pleasant and the breakfast was amazing. The reception staff were excellent, speaking good (8/10) English and being very helpful. The lady who was there for us most of the time was very nice, joking with us on occasions and always having a smile. ROME - Rome was a delight. Take a good camera, learn polite Italian like hello, please, thank-you and goodbye and the locals appreciate you speaking at least a bit of their language - which can make all the difference to the service levels! My experience on this hotel was A plus highly recommended nice people.

Very comfy King Sized bad. A little noisy with traffic early in the morning. Limited hot food at breakfast but good continental variety. On-site bar is shut most of the time, so if you want a drink prior to going out, then go across the road. Almost all of the tourist places are with walking distance. Colosseum is 15 minutes walk away and Spanish Step, […] 30-40 minutes, but a pleasant walk to get to. Good maps are readily available and free from just about anywhere. Plenty of Restaurants to try near to the Colosseum amongst other locations. Average price of a main course is euro 15 and starters from 3 to 11. Beer is expensive almost everywhere in terms of restaurants - 6 euros approx for 330ml. At min marts drinks are cheap. Watch out for anyone trying to persuade you to queue jump at the Vatican. Go around 230pm and you will queue for about 15-20 minutes then no hassle in getting in after that. Definitely book tickets for the Colosseum though as queues are always hours long. Well-located at walking distance from the Coloseo and across the street from Manzoni subway station. The only downside is the noise in some rroms (avoid room 220) due to the proximity to the tram stop and constant traffic.

The hotel is located about 3/4 mile from the Coliseum. The neighborhood is good and not too close to the rougher area by the main train station. My room was very loud at night due to the train and the subway beneath. It was nice they served breakfast. It was almost a 3 start hotel by US standards. It was not worth the price that I paid.
