"Must take your children"
This is a hotel that is targeted towards children, there is something for every child to do. Don't be fooled adults can relax and let loose as well and have fun.
the key system is horrible!!! the bands do not ALWAYS work! and when you have 3 kids who have skiied all day and then you walk ALL the way to the room...and the key does not work...horrible!

Overall my stay was a mixed experience, the main reason being the overcrowding on even a weekday. It was raining on arrival. The covered area near the entrance was crowded with cars loading and unloading. The valets were just standing there, instead of directing traffic. The line to check in was 15 people long (this on a Thursday afternoon). The number […] of elevators (2) is far too less considering the number of guests that cannot use stairs. My suggestion would be to use numbered parking spots (parking spot # corresponding to the room number). Another helpful change would be to change the check-in policy to have check-in time at 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM. Make the check in policy more friendly for guests with infants or toddlers. Also have microwaves in the lobby area so that parents can warm formula/baby food after check-out. Continua a leggere

you must check out on time or else they start to charge you $50.00 and up. my grandsons loved the water park but you are allowed to use the water park on the day you check out. "Great Family Fun"
Great Wolf Lodge is a great family getaway. This was our second time visiting the Pocono location. We have three kids - ages 8 and twin 5 year olds. The indoor waterpark is great fun and very clean. "Fun time for the whole family"
The staff were very friendly....esp at the front desk where the lady that checked us in was always smiling. Our room was ready before check-in time. The temp control for our suite was only in the master's bedroom which was a little inconvenient to set the control in the other bedroom and living area.The waterpark itself may need a little upgrading as […] there were some rusty/old areas. "Great Wolf Lodge, Pocono's Must Do!"
We went to Great Wolf Lodge for the first time over the kids Spring Break. Since we didn't book a "tropical vacation" like some of our friends, we decided to go, mid week, to break up the week out of school. This had to be the best two days ever! What a great family friendly place. My favorite was that the key to our room was in our wrist bands. Never […] having to dig for a key or remember the key or just finding a place to put it, was very convenient. We were also able to charge things to our credit card with the wristband. Great for families with kids of all ages. Something for the youngster to teenager. Highly recommend. Staff is very friendly, eager and helpful. Hallways very noisy, however, with very poor insulation between rooms.

The hotel has an amazing water park that is very inefficiently run. Expect long lines for the slides due to understaffing and poor organization. Generally, staff is very helpful and the hotel is clean but its a mob scene.

Summer vacation with the wife and three kids (11, 6, 6). We stayed in the largest room available (2 bedroom). Booked three night stay through hotels.com with an Expedia rate of 30% off. Three nights sounds like a lot, but if it were up to the kids, we would have stayed a fourth night. Food was good, but very expensive. If you want hamburgers and chicken […] tenders, I suggest buying them at the snack bar, rather than the sit-down restaurant. The restaurant is more than double the price of the snack bar. There is an onsite pizzeria, but we liked going to the pizzeria accross the street from the main entrance for pizza and chicken parm sandwiches (they also deliver). Spent the first night in a room facing the highway, which had a lot of truck noise. I asked to move to a different room and was pleasantly accomodated. There are a lot of different water slides. I suggest you familarize yourself with which slides you want to ride. The lines are not well marked, so ask a life guard before standing in line. Most lines move quickly, but the most popular (double barrel) can take 30 minutes. If you have younger kids, they will enhoy the kiddie section and the outdoor pool. It has zero entry and has sections that are only 3 feet and 4 feet deep. My kids liked the Magic Quest, but were not that intrigued compared to the cost. My kids all love to do crafts, so I would have rather saved the money on Magic Quest and used it for extra crafts in the Kids Club. My son loved the race cars. They all loved the arcade. The Gr8_space is a waste, unless you have teenagers that want to plug-in and play video games. My kids enjoyed getting a stuffed animal and an outfit at the Wolf version of Build-a-Bear. So, all in all a good spot to spend a few days on vacation. I can see the added appeal of going here in the winter. Continua a leggere

"great place"
great time at the water park & the hotel....we went mid week., you can say we had the place to our self. my kids enjoy the stay....
"Wonderful Family Getaway"
For a family of 5 with ages from 11-4 there was something for everyone. Rooms were nice and the hotel theme was impressive. The chlorine was overpowering at times (eyes burning and kids coughing)so beware. Using the water park after we checked out was nice too however, the shower/changing it is very small and you definitely need to bring shower shoes […] to avoid stepping on the floor. "Overpriced Hotel"
We went to the Great Wolf Lodge as a weekend family getaway since we are only a short drive from NYC. The hotel was not worth the money at all. We have stayed at nice hotels and dont mind spending the money but this was completely not worth it. The exterior of the hotel is great, but the rooms are old and dingy. The bed was horrible and I had a horrible […] back pain from it the entire vacation. The waterpark was however large and fun for my daughter... it was the only saving grace! "A little pricey but very nice"
The kids cabin room was perfect for the kids. It gave them their own space away from the adults, as well as their own tv. The room was clean and comfortable and quaint. The waterpark was impressive.
"Perfect rainy day get away"
We chose the Great Wolf Lodge as an end of summer reward for our kids, ages 12,8, and 5. The waterpark was perfect for them! All three loved the big slides, wave pool and hot tub. Our youngest loved the play area with buckets, water shooters and spouting water. The lodge was close enough to local restaurants that we did not have to pay their hiked up […] rates for food. So other than it being pricey, I can't comment on the restaurants. Since we only stayed one night, we also did not take advantage of the other activities available at the lodge. Our room was clean and the private area for the kids was nice. Our kids are looking forward to a return trip, although I think our 12 year old will only find it fun for another year or two. (There weren't many children over the age of 14.) We had also chosen a day when it rained. If we had chosen to go to the beach, NYC or DC we would have struggled with the weather. "Too expensive to have old orange peels in your bed..."
For the price I paid, I would not expect there to be old orange peels in my bed. When I spoke to the person at the front desk about the problem, she wasn't very helpful. I would say she had quite the attitude. It was very expensive. I would suggest spending the day at a water park and not paying these high prices to stay there.

The hotel was very nice and it was a great experience. I think that unless you plan other things for your stay if its longer than 2 days than you would get bored.

There's something to do for families with kids of all ages. We took kids from age 8 to age 17, and everyone had a great time! The food is a bit pricey, but there are many restaurants in the surrounding area that are more reasonably priced.

The hotel package was good, but too expensive for a night's stay. The water park both indoor and outdoor were not that big and did not offer too many choices. The rooms were big and comfortable.
