The view and the garden were incredible. The scent of the gardens was lovely. Staying at Parco di Principi was thoroughly delightful. I miss it.
"Finding Parco dei Principi"
Teh hotel has commanding views, itis clean and the personnelis friendly........that is if you can FIND the hotel. The hotel claims to be in Sorrento, but you can not find it on most of the hotel maps avaialble in Sorrento. The address they give, (Via Rota 1) is not the actual address of the hotel, and it cannot be reached unless you stop a few times […] and ask about the directions. The GPS cannot locate the address of Via Rota 1 as well, even though I had most up-to-date maps of the Amalfitan coast and Sorrento,.... so trying to find the hotel using the GPS is useless. Besides, it is quite far(20-30 mins walk) from the city (Sorrento) center. Even though it is clean and the breakfast is quite sartisfactory, the furniture of the rooms transports you to the late 60th or early 70th. The matresses and pillows are all filled with plastic foam and not very comfortale. A '5 star' hotel should have better sleeping amenities. The views from the hotel windows are however magnificent. There are, however, many other '5 stars' hotels in Sorrento that have similar views, and room prices and are much more modern, and closer to the city center. Would I rent again at this hotel ?......ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!! Continua a leggere

"Gem on top of the mountain"
We stayed at the Parco dei Principi for 5 nights. When we got there we were amazed by the views. The whole property was well-groomed and clean. The only downfall was after 5 pm you are not allowed to go down to the beach if you are not wearing dress pants. We had just arrived at the hotel and were going down to take pictures when we were scolded for […] wearing shorts and were not allowed down. You also can only enjoy a bottle of wine from your room. Very inconvenient especially since most of the seating areas on the water were empty. Very convenient to walk into town (about 15 minutes). Very safe with a gate at the main entrance amd a security guard. The gardens were beautiful and the beach area was spectacular. Continua a leggere
"a nightmare come true!"
A minus 5 stars is too generous for this DUMP. It's nothing more than a cheap motel. 1970's plastic decor, accented by poor service with an attitude.Breakfast was inedible. The place was dirty. Other guests underwear drying in the entry greeted us as we entered our "viila" All of the foregoing was a list of this properties good points. The place is […] a joke. Continua a leggere
"Sorrento's Coolest Hotel"
You wouldn't expect a bar with a Rat Pack type hip vibe in Sorrento, but that was one of our favorite features. The decoration throughout the hotel is good -- just seems like they need an accent color to spark up the blue and white theme. "beach level" and pool have great accomodations. Food was terrific. Service likewise. I'd definitely recommend […] a stay here. Continua a leggere
"Parco dei Principi - a great honeymoon hotel"
If you are looking for a unique and quirky hotel, yet conventional in the 5-star sense, this hotel is definitely recommended. Soak up the faded glamour of a 60s style icon with amazing grounds, rich history and superb views. The blue and white marble 'everything' is either love or hate, but we loved it. Room was large, clean and minimal, and the balcony […] with views of Mount Vesuvius is a great place to spend some time. Staff were very friendly and just loved the whole atmosphere of the place. "Parco dei Principi in Sorrento - 5 Star Views"
Unfortunately the spectacular views over the Bay of Napes from the hotel were the only 5 star part of this hotel. On arrival the staff were very helpful, showing us to our room and advising of the hotel facilities. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. This hotel would have to be the loudest hotel I have every stayed in because the whole hotel […] is tiled and every sound echoes off the hard surfaces, guests need to be aware of this. We had 5 nights of interrupted sleep because of the noise. On the first night of our stay there was a wedding reception in the restaurant and when the staff were resetting the room at 1.00am for breakfast we were rudely awakened by the screeching sound of furniture being dragged around for the next hour. There was also another wedding on the 2nd night but it was outdoors on the terrace so the noise didn't affect us although on both these nights guests were relegated to another room for dinner which didn't have the views. Our room, whilst very large with a fantastic view, was looking rather tired as was the bathroom. The hotel provided a shuttle bus service for guests as it is about a 15-20 minute walk into the middle of Sorrento but unfortunately it only goes halfway into town and you have to walk the rest of the way! It also stopped at lunchtime until 5.00pm and then from 6.30pm which meant if you wanted to go into Sorrento for lunch or dinner you had to resort to cabs at about 25 Euro per trip. The hotel concierge wasn't exactly helpful in assisting with tours either which was a crucial factor due to the fact there are no information desks around Sorrento. When we requested information re tours we were given a typed up sheet of paper with the names of several tour companies and their tours but no information about what was actually included in the tour. We were told if we wanted to go places it was probably best if we found our own way. The staff at the beach pool were also quite inefficient, with people having to approach them fo Continua a leggere
"Lovely"
Good service, beautiful gardens, nice rooms and beautiful view of teh sea. Good with or without family.
"Parco dei Principi - never again"
We stayed at this hotel for one week, and I certainly won't return there again. The hotel had lovely views across the bay, but every single day there were different private functions in the hotel grounds, which were annoying and noisy to say the least, weddings, birthdays and business dinners. Every evening they would take over the only terrace overlooking […] the bay, so we would leave and head into town instead for the evening. On our return loud music would greet us until midnight or on one night until 1 oclock, so we couldn't sleep until it finished. After complaining about the situation the staff could only apologise. After staying in many hotels all over the world, I can only conclude that they cared more about there functions than their hotel guests. Don't go there if your looking for a peaceful getaway! "Excellent modern hotel"
Extremely child friendly. The even went as far as to not charge us for Milk for her. We could see they genuinely enjoyed children. There is a Cafe/Bar/Coffee place on the left hand side walking distance form the Hotel. The best coffee one could have and cheap too. Try the Marmalade Croissant Spectacular views from the hotel. "Fine Hotel"
The Parco dei Principi Hotel was a great find. On a cliff overlooking Naples Bay, Capri and the other islands and Mt Vesuvius on one side and an absolutely beautiful park on the other, it invites relaxation. Designed in 1962 by a noted architect, its blue and white tiles and decor was a bit stark for our taste, but interesting. The staff was very helpful. […] The presence of on site parking is absolutely essential if you have a car. The included buffet breakfast was about what one would expect. Our only concern was that it was a bit further from the heart of Sorrento than we had expected, a brisk 25" walk. The hotel offers frequent free shuttle service at peak times in the AM & PM, but unfortunately it can only take you about half way there. One tip: both our GPS and that of another guest deposited us about a mile from the hotel. Fortunately, the signs on the street got us there. Continua a leggere
"Great Hotel in Sorento, Italy"
This is a well maintained hotel in Sorento, Italy. The staff was excellent. The hotel is one of the few in Sorento with a private beach which is very nice. The view from the hotel is amazing. On our second night the hotel upgraded us to a superior sea-side room for free. If you are reserving a room try to request room #215, it is simply the best room […] in the hotel bar none. "It's a nice 4 star hotel, not a 5 star"
just compared to other 5 star in the area, this one is not up to the standard. It's a 4 star hotel. Howeverm the price is also lower. Just keep this in mind when booking -. you get what you pay for ;)

"Palmenpark, Meer und tolle Aussicht"
Das Hotel liegt in einem schönen liebevoll gepflegten Park voller Palmen und Blumen. Am Pool, oder am Hotelstrand, welcher mit einem Lift zugänglich ist, lässt sich manch gutes Buch lesen. Im Hotelresraurant, mit fantastischem Blick auf den Vesuv und Neapel, lässt sich vorzüglich speisen.
