Un soggiorno confortevole , servizio ottimo e personale molto cortese e disponibile , lo consiglierei . Nel caso dovessi tornare a Dublino soggiornerei volentieri nello stesso albergo

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel dal 26 gennaio al 29 gennaio scorso. Le camere sono molto grandi e abbastanza pulite...l'unica cosa che lascia a desiderare è la moquette piuttosto sporca. L'hotel non è molto centrale, ma essendo Dublino molto piccola, non è una grossa fatica raggiungere i luoghi principali della città. (15 minuti dal temple bar). Ho soggiornato al Maldron per due notti con un gruppo di 8 persone. Ci siamo trovati molto bene: belle camere, pulito e funzionale. Si trova in una piazza in costruzione , vicino al fiume ed a pochi minuti dal centro.

Sono stati cinque spendidi giorni passati in serenità, tutto è andato bene dal volo con la Aer Lingus al soggiorno al Maldron Hotel Smithfield. dove Il personale è sempre stato molto disponibile e gentile. Dall'Aeroporto all'Hotel non è difficile arrivare, si pùò prendere le linee di servizio pubblico che portano al centro per poi scambiare e prendere […] il tram che ferma proprio a 600 metri dall'hotel (fermata Smithfield) La città da già un idea della spendida Irlanda. Cinque giorni sono sufficenti per visitare Dublino è obbligo concludere le giornate nei famosi pub irlandesi davanti ad una Guiness. Dublino può essere percorsa a piedi senza alcun problema e l'Hotel dista dal centro 15 minuti. L'assetto urbanistico, con il fiume al centro, aiuta a orrizontarsi pertanto e difficile perdersi. Nei nostri itenerari abbiamo inserito le famose scogliere Cliff oh Moher attraversando così l'isola, impresa un po faticosa ma ne è valsa la pena. Non perdete la visita alla fabbrica della Guiness e lo centre-shop finale. Per concludere una nota sugli Irlandesi, ho visitato alcune capitali europee, ma non ho mai trovato padroni di casa così cordiali, gentili e allegri come loro. Continua a leggere

Albergo, nuovo e moderno e non nolto distante dal centro di Dublino (20 min. a piedi e 5 min. in DART). Molto confortevole con personale disponibile. Le camere sono grandi e con tutti i confort.

This hotel isn't right in Dublin's city centre, but it is easily accessed by a short walk or tram ride. The tram stop is just 2 minutes away walking, as well as the stop for the hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus. This hotel needs to be updated and get some new mattresses. The carpet was dirty and old. The staff however was very helpful and nice.

Very helpful staff, good location for walking to all of the central sites - the hotel is across the street from the old Jameson distillery, a short walk (across the Liffey) to the Guinness Storehouse, and about 20-30 min walk from O'Connell Street, Christchurch, and other points in the center of the tourist district. Another plus, I got bumped from […] a double room up to a suite with a roof terrace, which was fantastic, so I cannot complain about the comfort of the hotel. I have only one caveat: although conveniently located, there are some industrial and fairly deserted blocks to the east between church st and around Wolf Tone St. to the East (where the pedestrian mall picks up), and along the Quay on the river Liffey to the South and just south of the river down to the Guinness Storehouse. It does not feel dangerous, just rundown and very empty at night. However, the area around the hotel itself is good/lively, and the surrounding neighborhoods are fine by day (even a kind of street market on Mary Ln.) Continua a leggere

The Maldron Hotel in Smithfield Dublin is a gem of a hotel in the centre of Dublin. The rooms are comfortable, the staff are friendly and the restaurant is a one of the areas's best kept secrets.

Great location -- only a couple minutes walk to the Smithfield Luas station and about 10 -15 walk to the Temple Bar and O' Connell Street. There is a grocery store with a coffee shop next door which made breakfast quick and easy. It is located in a mostly residential neighborhood which was very quiet and clean. I stayed at the hotel for the weekend with my friends. We met very friendly and helpful staff there. The room was big enough and clean. Very convenient location near to the centre and the old part of the city.

Great location and a very comfortable room...well worth the price! Loved being across from Jamenson's for early morning Irish coffee before touring!

A modern, pleasant, reasonably-priced hotel which is nicely situated on the Northside, about 20-minutes walk from Temple Bar. Alternatively there's a Luas stop at the end of the street which is very handy. Being a little way from all the city centre action meant a quiet, largely uninterrupted stay. There is a grocery store/cafe nextdoor, plus an independent […] cinema around the corner. Other amenities are a little thin on the ground until you head towards the city centre, but if you want the blend of convenient location and peace & quiet, this has both. Brilliant hotel, lovely clean rooms, staff are really friendly. The Stir Cafe / Restaurant is very quiet, no astmosphere and the TV that is on ALL the time is very distracting. The hotel is slightly far from Temple Bar and Grafton St but the hotel is amazing.

A large, very modern, very comfortable if slightly impersonal hotel. Location is best described as "under development" but it is only a short walk across the river to the Temple Bar area or a slightly longer walk, or short tram ride to the heart of the city. I have no hesitation in recommending it.

We arrived at the hotel to drop our bags after getting up at 3am to catch our flight and were pleasantly surprised to be offered check in at 10.40am, a god send after such an early morning. Staff were all lovely, efficient and nothing was too much trouble. The only negative was that having asked for a non smoking room, there were other smoking rooms […] nearby which caused our room to smell smoky at times but I have fed back to the hotel and received a promising response from them. If you want a good hotel, within walking distance of the city but quiet at night then this is a great location. It's worth buying a return bus ticket for the airport bus and if you are going to use the city bus then buy a rover ticket, great value. There are loads for free entries to museums and galleries so it is possible to have a great long weekend on a budget. Check out the Third Space cafe which opened on Valentines Day; lovely food and the nicest staff ever in a really relaxed atmosphere; if their first lunchtime rush was anything to go by, there will be queues out the door and soon they plan to open in the evening. I stayed here on Sunday for 1 night and had a very good time. Walking distance from Heuston station and city centre (otherwise only 5 minutes by Luas). Very professional and friendly staff. Room was spacious and very comfortable. Good variety breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend this hotel for short stay in Dublin.

The Maldron Hotel Smithfield is in the northwest area of Dublin, so it's not absolutely central to all the must-see sights, but because Dublin is a small city, it's still quite possible to walk everywhere! That's what my cousin and I did, and we did not find it to be a problem. As for the hotel itself, we had accidentally booked a standard double room […] with one bed but it turned out that the room had one large queen bed and one small twin bed anyway! It was very clean, quiet in the evenings, and overall a cozy and comfortable stay. Our room was also spacious, the bathroom very clean, and overall we were very satisfied. Only one thing, though: there was no refrigerator, which wasn't ideal because we didn't have breakfast included with our stay and had planned on buying something from the grocery store. Since our stay was only two nights anyway, we did this, but that was okay. A safe in the room would also have been nice, as I had in another hotel in the past, but I can't complain. From the airport, this hotel is easily reached with the bus Airlink 747, stop 10 or 11: Usher's Quay, and it costs 6 euros for one way, 10 euros for return trip. We originally tried looking for bus 16A or 41B, since they are cheaper even if they stop everywhere, but this worked well for us. On the way back to the airport, though, we took the Airlink 747 from Busaras Central Bus Station, because a bookshop owner around St. Stephen's Green told us he wasn't sure the bus would definitely go to Usher's Quay again on the trip from the city to the airport. Bus and Luas stations are all in easy walking distance of the hotel, though, like I said, my cousin and I just walked everywhere and that suited us perfectly fine too! Overall, this hotel worked great: clean, spacious, quiet, and still in a decent location. The staff was friendly, too--they let us use a travel adapter when mine didn't work (the plug is the same as the UK one, but my adapter for the UK is somewhat fragile), gave us excellent m Continua a leggere

For the money spent, we were disappointed. The room was okay, but the mattress was old and crushed in spots. The shower had good pressure, but the shower head needed to be replaced because of the lime scale and mold. The location was good and we had no problems walking around. If the room cost less and had a newer mattress, I might be able to recommend […] this place. As is, no. It seems that they spent their money on the lobby and the eating area and forgot the rooms. The Hotel is quite nice but we had a very dodgey looking stain on the carpet between our beds. The staff were nice and in particular the gentleman who dealt with us at reception. We had dinner in the Dining Room and although the ambiance and service was very poor, the dinner when it finally arrived (after 1 hour) was excellent. The main problem with […] this hotel is parking. I was told that overnight parking would be 10.00. When I went to the car park on departure, there were serveral irate guests wandering around looking for the pay machine. To say it was impossible to find the pay station is an understatement. It took us 45 minutes from leaving the hotel to get out of the car park. When I finally located the pay station, my bill read 14.50. I pressed the help button but the response I got was most unsatisfactory. I was told the over charging had nothing to do with the car park and go back to the hotel. To go back to the hotel was such a trek, I just left it. On booking in, I had been told the car park had nothing to do with the Hotel so where do you go?? There were three other couples in the same predicament as me as we were all as mad as hell. One of them, refused point blank to pay the extra change and manged to get out without paying anything. Would never stay in the Hotel again because of the hassle with the car park. The room was clean and tidy. The balcony faced to the east, enjoyed the good view and the sea gulls flying around. So relax!

Perfect hotel for trip to dublin city centre - close to shopping, great selection of restaurants and tourist locations. Quiet area and 1 minute walk to Luas. Really enjoyed stay at this hotel and have told friends about the stay and the great deal that we got.

Lovely Hotel, Staff very friendly and helpful. Located very close to Luas line which runs directly to the O2 so ideall for concerts.

Although not in the very center of everything going on, a very short walk to shops, and the river. Great location considering the low price. Reception could use Improving. Some receptionists were very nice, informative and friendly; while a few were unhelpful, and extremely informative. Internet only works in hotel lobby, not in the room (which I didn't […] expect anyway), but ads for the hotel are misleading in that way. We always stay here when we come to Dublin. The hotel is great value. The area is a quick walk to the centre of Dublin but not as noisy or over priced as Temple Bar.

The hotel is located in Smithfield - a great location just north of the river. Well sign posted & we found easily arriving by car. It is just a 5 - 10 min walk from Temple Bar - the main place for restaurants & bars where we easily found some good food & just a nice stroll back to the hotel. Car parking underneath the hotel in garage for just 10 euro […] for 24 hours was perfect. We had 2 rooms - connecting as we had kids with us. The rooms were a reasonable size, clean, good bathrooms & internet connection. Breakfast was downstairs & a good assortment again at a very reasonable price. We were only there over night on business - but staff were helpful & efficient so would definitely stay there again for such a reasonable room rate. Continua a leggere

Delighted with my stay and tonnes of parking which isnn't available in MOST city hotels. Just the external noise from pub kicking out time meant I hadn't got as much sleep as planned , but thats not the hotels fault. Will stay again definitely . Mick.

Great location; across the road from the Jameson Distillery and one block from a Luas train stop. Restaurant was good food but kinda expensive, there's a supermarket beside the hotel though for buying any necessities. 10 minute and around 18 euro taxi ride from the airport.

Staff were very helpful and accommodating, good location, very handy for town, you can walk to city centre in ten minutes or get the Luas, hotel is comfortable and clean.

Stayed here with my son for a concert in vicar street. Perfect location for the gig, just s short stroll from the hotel. Clean and it does exactly what is says on the tin, would definitely use again :o) David

terrible stay at this hotel. mattresses are broken and need replacing.had to change rooms. got a new room and the shower did not work. this hotel needs to replace mattresses and fix the showers.

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Good size rooms, however, the carpets do need to be changed, or deep-cleaned. Always have to ask for a bath plug, which is frustrating. The only other drawback is that the rooms do not have a safe. Trouser press and iron in the room which is great. Smithfield is not the greatest area in Dublin, however, there is […] a supermarket below the hotel, which is good. There is only an Indian takeout round the corner. There are 2 local bars, one shows all the football, the other (Cobblestone) has Irish folk music nightly. Easy access to most locations via the LUAS which is a 5 minute walk. Continua a leggere
