La zona e' ok con ristoranti in zona. La metro non e' lontanissima ma neanche attaccata. E' pulito con la qualita' di un buon motel americano. The hotel was in a great neighborhood and had a lovely lobby. Not everyone at the front desk spoke English, but they all tried and were very accommodating. The staff in the lobby always greated us in a very friendly manner, and we were always happy to see them after our hectic days. The tour office was good if you were lucky enough to get the girl who […] spoke English. They set us up with an excellent tour guide who helped make our Beijing experience excellent. The hotel had 2 restaurants and a cafe. The western restaurant was pretty expensive. It had a huge breakfast buffet which we enjoyed once before deciding to find cheaper options. We were unsatisfied with the lunch. The other restaurant was pretty good. Overall the beauty and location of the hotel along with the friendliness of the staff are the reasons I would go back again. Very happy. Overall 5 star hotel if you book at least a business level room. Would stay again.

No complaints. Hotel was clean and staff friendly. Pretty good location. Shops and restaurants close by. Night markets were great fun and a must see.

The hotel was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful but we thought Wangfujing was a street and in fact it is a district so we were not as close to Tien an Men and Forbidden city as we would have liked.

A convenient stay in Bejing close to all the good sights. 5min away from the subway station. Generally recommendable. The gym is there, but honestly below average. 4 machines, 1 broken, the other 3 chinese only. Breakfast is overpriced in my opinion.

I FOUND THIS HOTEL VERY VERY NICE, ONLY CARPET LITTLE DIRTY, I THINK NOBODY KNOWS IN CHINA THAT THEY CAN WASH THEIR BEAUTIFULL CARPET, IF THEY WASHED THE CARPET THEY WOULD GET RATING AT TOP.

The bed was hard and the room wasnt cleaned up. The internet connection was good though, most hotels in china Ive been to has poor connections.

This was my second trip to Beijing and I have to say this hotel was great. It is a good hotel for those who have small kids like I do. The staff was very helpful and spoke enough English to accommodate all our needs. It is conveniently located in walking distance from the some of the major streets in the area. We arrived at the hotel not knowing what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. The clerks at the front desk spoke enough English to be able to conduct business. When we got to our room, I was very happy with the size and the level of cleanliness. The bed was a comfortable king-size bed with clean linens similar to what is offered at higher priced […] chain hotels. The bathroom was very large. Hotel lost our booking and had to endure a 3 hour wait to check-in. Extended our stay for 1 extra night. Management did not get their act together and locked us out on the last night. Luckily the hotel service ground staff were very personable and attentive to our needs. They had alot of initiative and would often suggest alternatives for us. I stayed here twice on separate occasions and had a wonderful experience both times. It's a new property, so everything runs smoothly. I tried the Capital Hotel and checked out after one night...doesn't even come close. The breakfast buffet is exceptional(both Western and Eastern fare with two chefs). It's a 15 min walk to Wangfujing shopping district and close enough to many of the main attractions. It was great heading down to steam room after a long day of sightseeing. The hotel was very modern and nice but didnt have airconditioning working. When asked they informed me that it wasnt working in any room. Then during the day they turned it on and switched it off at night. I found it very annoying. The food leaves much to be desired. Only one spot in the lobby where you can get wi-fi. And still very slow. I stood at that spot every night to check on my e-mails. Even though they have provided a cable connection in you room, but I think a good Wi-Fi is a minimum nowadays in any hotel.

This Chinese-owned hotel is a great alternative to staying at overpriced Western hotels. Great service, nice amenities and large rooms. Conveniently located two blocks from the subway and taxis are readily available. For non-Mandarin speakers, the staff does a fairly good job with English as long as you have a bit of patience. Even the bellmen, could […] speak with us and convey info to the cab drivers. Two items of caution. The carpets can seem a bit tracked up, but I did see the cleaning staff vacuuming. Also, the beds are very hard which didn't bother us as we have a firm bed at home. These two issues seem to be commonly mentioned with Beijing hotels. The bathrooms are very clean. There is not bowling and billiard. At the hotel web, this exists. Very unpleasant reception staff. Even you pay 100% in advance; they will ask you for 1000RMB per day of staying for deposit.

Worth for the money you paid for.

Very satisfied about the service. All the stuff is polite. However, the room is very uncomfortable because the pillows are too soft and flat; the carpet is so dirty and the water from the shower and toilet is too weak.

Location is great, except that, not a hotel to think about. Smelly room (even if it is non smoking room) and with hair of the previous guest still in the bathroom. Hairdressing service at B1 open everyday but when you arrive on a saturday end of morning for a haircut, the staff tells you that today is off (only for haircut) and need to come back the […] next day. And the biggest disappointment, at the check-out, Manager really rude to guest and starting to talk into chinese right in the middle of a discussion. We stayed there for 6 nights. The room was really nice, the staff friendly. The only things I did not like was the fact that we could not regulate the heat in the room (it was constantly at 25°C) and some of the staff did not speak English very well (routine procedures work well, something unusual is sometimes difficult to explain). Hotel is located at the end of a VERY fancy street (Rolls Royce, Lamborghini, Channel etc) are located here. Hotel is an easy two block walk to the subway, and being that it was at the end of this street it was way more affordable than some of the others. We choose to stay here rather than pay the premium for a western brand - and it was a good choice. […] Nothing more I could have expected from any other hotel. Rooms/lobby are impeccably maintained (hallway carpets were a bit worn I'd noticed but by the end of the week they left a notice apologizing for any inconvenience and that that they were replacing the carpets floor by floor!) Room was a very nice size with a very new looking bathroom. Room also had its own thermostat - excellent since I was there in the middle of the coldest week I had my room at 25C when i got home! While we certainly could have spent less, it was well worth it to come back to a room we felt very comfortable in. Our room (not sure that all do - I believe they mentioned we'd been upgraded to the executive floor) had a desk with a computer and a usb plug that we used on our laptop for internet. Only one note - there was one woman at the front desk who helped is book a tour to one of the sites - helpful we thought until we realized it was kind of an under the table deal. That was fine, but when we went to the concierge to book something else she came running over and tried to have us book through her again, and not with the regular booking staff. Nothing bad, just a bit odd - and of course if I'd realized we were booking something under the table with her I'd have negotiated for a better price!! This hotel may be targeting businessmen (locals more than internationals) so the prices of the restaurants are quite steep. We opted to go outside and get a crepe from the street rather than pay for breakfast. It looked nice, but perhaps too nice for just a morning nourishment. The hotel was extremely nice. It was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very helpful; in fact they were beyond helpful. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I reached the hotel at around 9am. But the hotel staff was nice to let us check in so early. The room is pretty new and there are many TV channels to watch. The hotel is probably around 300m away from the tube station (approx 5-10mins) walk. The hotel is along the high end shops street and is also near to Wangfujing. Nothing superb, but overall value given the price was ok and I would go there again, and location is quite good to get to places like Tian an Men or Forbidden City. Free internet and Gym were ok. Breakfast buffet quite expensive, if you do not want it all rather have individual dishes.

The hotel appears old but looks recently renovated. Its luxury style with marble and mahogany interior gives a feeling of old luxury hotels for westeners on the soviet era. The room was stylish and comfortable but the cleaning was not always top notch. Carpets in hallways were in need of cleaning. In overall the cleanliness was however quite satisfactory. […] The rooms were very large to European standards. The TV had over 60 channels but only one with English language. Plenty of restaurants nearby for dinner or lunch. Everything at the hotel is quite expensive, had a cup of coffee and a couple of drinks at the lobby bar and the bill was - wow! The staff is very very friendly but speak very limited English. Be patient, speak slowly and use simple basic words and you will be understood. We were very satisfied in overall, the only major issue was badly working air conditioning. We complained about it a couple of times but I guess they could not do anything about it. An otherwise good hotel, but limited English of the hotel staff made communication very difficult and time-consuming. My spouse had to draw a towel to describe what we needed in our room though once they understood the sketch on the paper, they delivered the towels to our room. For a hotel that is rated 4-5 stars, they need staff who are fluent in English […] (the bellboys had better English than the ones behind the reception counter) - one of them did not know the words phone-book/telephone directory. Stayed at Xinhai as I looked for a permanent place. It is in a great location for some tourist sites - tian an men, wang fu jing, hutongs, etc. And the subway isn't too much of a hike away. I was asked if I had a bathing suit when I walked in - I was wearing one from land's end, and it wasn't the usual fitted kind popular in asia and europe. The pool wasn't used for casual swimming - everyone was doing heavy duty laps, so i didn't find it relaxing. The "massage" pool was a luke-warm spa. But, all in all it is a great place, really. Many of the 5star hotels i have been at and paid more for havn't held up to the quality here. If i come back i will be staying here again.

Rigtig godt ophold og dejligt hotel. Typisk kinesisk hotel, meget høj service. Morgenmad på hotellet er alt for dyr. Ellers meget tilfreds.

Godt hotel, dejligt rent og med smilende personale. Boede der en uge og har været godt tilfreds. Ligger rigtigt godt, noget i gåafstand og andet med en taxi til kr. 20-25. Her vil gerne bo igen, næste gang.

Hotels com.'s kart /kjøreanvisning på nettet er feil: hotellet ligger ca 1 km lenger øst enn markert. En taxi vil finne frem ut fra gateadressen, men selve kartet er verdiløst. Jeg er meget godt fornøyd med hotellet, rent og pent, hyggelig og profesjonell betjening. Benyttet ikke restauranter; liker å spise på kinesiske restauranter rundt omkring i […] byen.
