Siamo andati in Ottobre, scegliendo la camera "superior" e siamo stati pienamente soddisfatti del rapporto qualità-prezzo. La posizione dell'albergo è comodissima per il mare (a pochi metri)e per il centro storico, a 10 minuti a piedi.

Sono stato in questo hotel solo per un giorno (purtroppo!) e mi sono ripromesso assolutamente di tornarci perchè non stiamo parlando di un hotel come ce sono tanti in giro per il mondo (camera con letto e bagno privato per intenderci), ma di un vero e proprio posto caratteristico e particolare! Te ne rendi subito conto da fuori, muri tutti colorati diversamente a formare un bellissimo effetto cromatico, piccolo giardino interno con amache e sdraio, appartamenti ben disposti e curatissimi, sin nei minimi particolari, all'interno puliti e caratteristici (il letto matrimoniale è rialzato da terra ed ha una cancellata protettiva in legno, tre scalini per salirvi e sotto c'è un magazzino tipo ripostiglio, tirando una tenda separi visivamente il letto dal resto dell'appartamento, peraltro spazioso, come del resto il bagno, e luminoso). Sia il titolare che la signora delle pulizie sono simpatici e gentili. Il posto è centralissimo, 50 metri e ti ritrovi affacciato sul porto, con i suoi colori, i bar, i ristoranti. Concludendo: consiglio vivamnte il Symi Garden a tutti quelli che si trovino a passare per questo stupendo angolo di mondo, ma soprattutto alle coppie...è un posto romanticissimo che vi saprà trasmettere emozioni...come ha fatto con me!

Onestamente lo trovo un die stelle tendente ad un 3 stelle + . Cortesissimi, affabili, ambiente tranquillo (almeno nel periodo di Ottobre), occorre un mezzo per recarsi alla vicina spiaggia di Afandou (che dista un chilometro circa) ma é servità dalla statale Rodi - Lindos (Costa Est, la più balneabile), che é praticamente attigua alla struttura (che però non é disturbata dai rumori di transito dei veicoli, essendo tra l'altro posizionata più in alto rspetto alla statale). Per me rapporto qualità prezzo = 10 e lode.

Struttura molto recente e bella, luminosa, silenziosa, camera (avevamo una matrimoniale con angolo cottura) spaziosa con balcone e splendida vista su piscina e mare. Mancanza di box doccia (dopo la doccia il bagno era completamente allagato) e finestrina del bagno che dà sul corridoio, comunque solo per alcune stanze. Atmosfera tranquilla e romantica, intima nonostante la grande struttura. La cosa che penalizza molto è lo staff della reception: 2 signori anziani che parlano quasi solo greco, pochissimo inglese, si faceva molta fatica a capirsi e per fortuna non abbiamo avuto bisogno di cose particolari. Molto gentile e bravo il barista invece, avrei preferito se l'orario dell'apertura del bar a bordo piscina fosse stato più prolungato. E' disponibile la colazione al bar ma manca una colazione di tipo "greco" con yogurt e miele. Pulizie a giorni alterni, aria condizionata a pagamento, noi siamo stati senza perché non era caldissimo, abbiamo dormito con la porta del balcone aperto e non abbiamo visto neanche una zanzara a diffenrenza di altri resoconti letti. Necessaria un'auto per spostarsi.

Ialyssos, che va quasi a confluire con la vicina Ixia, si trova lungo la costa settentrionale di Rodi, a sei chilometri dall'aeroporto e a otto dalla città di Rodi. "On the beach, and relatively close to town"
The hotel is divided into two buildings, one (with apartments) are on the beachside, but ours were on the other side of the street, but thats OK. You can use all the pools at both places. The kidsclub is great and lots ofthings is going on all the time. The breakfast is OK, and so also the buffetdinner. Plussat: siisti ja rauhallinen, henkilökunta asiallinen, piha-alue hyvin hoidettu. MIINUSET: huoneen tuolit erittäin kehnot istua, keittiövälineet epäkäytönnölliset, aurinkotuolit risoja ja venyneitä, TV jo ajastaan jäljessä. Godt hotel, super og dejligt varieret mad, men svimmingpoolerne er desværre alt for kolde i oktober, ville være godt med opvarmet pool. Underholdning for de små burde køre til og med uge 42.
"Dejligt familiehotel med gode børnefaciliteter"
Vi (2 voksne og 2 drenge, 6 og 8 år) havde en dejlig uge i efterårsferien. Morgenmad og aftensmad var super - læs børnene kunne lide det. Masser af aktiviteter for børn, Mini disco, fine swimmingpools og en super fodboldbane hvor børn og forældre spillede fodbold hver aften inden aftensmaden. Kan anbefales til andre børnefamilier.

Ligger nära strand men tyvärr kan man knappt gå ner till vattnet pga av småsten, en bit att gå för att komma till busstation, om vi skulle åka igen och ta ett hotell utanför staden hade det definitivt istället blivit vid Faliraki som har en väldigt stor,bra och långgrund strand.

Hotellet har ikke noe internett tilgang på rommet, det var også dyrt å bruke, resturantene i området tilbyr dette trådløst og gratis til sammenligning. Steinharde senger og puter. Hyggelig og trivelig betjening selv hetl på slutten av sesongen.

Reint og fint - overraskande god og variert mat, særleg til middag. Kampen om solsenger er alltid slitsom, lite område rundt bassenga. Veldig vindfult på stranda, men godt a veksle mellom basseng og sjø - og absolutt ikkje kamp om solsengene på stranda. Mini disco og animation team underhaldning var veldig bra på sparsomt budsjett.
Kan inte bli bättre när man reser med barn. Bra personal. Bra animation team.
Et fint hotell. Veldig bra underholdning om kvelden for store og små, kjekk barneklubb og deilig mat i retauranten. Stranden ved hotellet var ikke særlig fin, mye steiner og vind og heller ikke barnevennlig, dvs. ingen langgrunn strand. Restauranten på hotellet har krav om shorts forbi knelengde, dette var ikke vi klar over. Min mann hadde fine shorts […] med knelengde og ble bedt om å bytte. Det resulterte i at vi måtte ut på shopping, men det var jo ikke enkelt å finne noen lange shorts. Ikke var det behagelig å skulle ikle seg i en dongerishorts i 35 grader. Han fant en fin shorts som oppfyllte kritereriene til hotellet, og den gikk han i i 2 uker!!!!!!! Det synes vi var DÅRLIG. Mange gikk rundt i stygg bekledning, men fikk komme inn fordi de hadde rett lendge. Min mann var pent kledd, men hadde noen cm for kort short og ble avvist. Mange av skjortene han hadde med passet ikke til den ene shortsene, så han måtte jo gå mye i de samme klærne i hele ferien. Hotel wordt voornamelijk bezocht door gezinnen met kinderen. Dit geldt ook voor omliggende hotels. Dus een rustige omgeving. Goed en uitgebreid ontbijt. Het avondeten was in buffetvorm en van goede kwaliteit. In het hotel is een supermarkt gevestigd: erg handig. Minpunt: wij hadden slechte matrassen. Vering was goed voelbaar. Very friendly staff everywhere at the hotel. Food in the buffet is very nice and different every day of the week. Rooms are very nice to. We are very satisfied with our stay at Sun Beach hotel. Many thanks to Nicos from the night shift, who received us at 3 am in the night. Its a good idea to rent a car, since the best beaches is on the other site of […] the island about 25 minutes of driving from the hotel. Fint hotell for barnefamilier med barneklubb og basseng. Vi hadde halvpensjon, men vi ville ikke bestillt dette igjen. Middagsbuffeén ble for "kantinepreget", lite spennende mat. Stranden var stenete/skitten, synes det er unødvendig å måtte betale for solsenger og håndklær når stranden var privat/forbeholdt hotellets gjester. Derimot var solsengene […] ved bassengene gratis, men kom du ettter klokken 8 var alle stolene reservert... Hotellets hjerte var "animation team". Stod for underholdning av barn og div. leker/underholdning for store/små om kvelden. Lite serviceinnstillte resepsjonister. Rommene var OK, ac var sentralstyrt (kunne ikke reguleres), ingen vannkoker el glass på rom, men hadde minibar. Continua a leggere
"Sunbed mania"
The hotel faciliy itself is ok but, not 4 stars in my opinion. We stayed at the resort complex part of the hotel, so I can not make a statement about the apartment hotel on the seaside. My impression was that it was nicer. I would grade the resort complex with 3 stars. We traveld with a 1.5 year old boy, and they had put up a nice childrens bed for […] him at the room and was very good with children in general both in the reception and at the breakfest bufet. The breakfest bufet was actually realy good and a lot better than expected. The staf working there was nice and effective. But the hotel has two main problems. 1) Location - Ialyssos is a boring little town and the beach is not very atractive. You have to rent a car and get around on the island if you don't want to settle with a busy street with all the touristy resturants and crap-stores (trap-stores). The air traffic that is mentioned in some revwies is actually not that bad and the constant wind was nice in July, but I think it can be a problem in the late and early season. My advice is to find a place to stay on the east coast. 2) With a crappy beach the pool is even more essential. The pool areas is actually quite ok (asepcially the one closest to the sea), but there are by far enough sunbeds to cover the needs, and that is a huge problem. People are getting up at 6am to reserve sunbeds, and at 7am its full. Many of these beds are hardly used during the day, but some people seem to reserve a bed just in case. Even doe the hotel has a rule, that you are not allowed to put towels on sunbeds before 9am they don't enforce their own rule. My guess is that it is approximatly 1 bed for every 4th person staying on the hotel, tops. We met many frustrated guests during our stay and when some of them tried to talk about the problem with the receptionist they got no real understanding. Flott hotell i flotte omgivelser, koselig og stille i området rundt hotellet. Kjempefin utsikt mot det flotte bassenget og de andre hotellrommene. Veldig glad vi hadde utsikten og ikke bare tittet rett inn i en murvegg til naboen, tror alle hotellrommene hadde utsikt mot bassenget og det synes jeg var bra. Meget koselig på kveldstid med koselig belysning […] rundt bassenget og rundt hotellet. Flotte rom, det vi leide hadde kjøkkenfasiliteter som oppvaskkum, kaffetrakter, brødrister, microbølgeovn, glass, bestikk, kasseroller, kokeplater, alt man trenger for å lage enkle måltider, rommet var malt i rolige flotte farger..litt sånn cafe latte farger. Meget god seng..ikke madrasser som var altfor myke. Aircondition og avtrekksvifte når man lager mat...meget fornøyd med rommet, tv var det også på rommet. Vi bokade ett familjerum till två vuxna och två barn med halvpension. Barnen var 5år och 2 år gamla. Vi är väldigt nöjda. Det var rent och snyggt på hotellet och personalen var trevlig. 2 åringen tyckte det var för kallt i poolen och havet på den här sidan, men badade när vi bilade över till Lindos på andra.
