"shuttle"
The staff at the Hilton was fabulous! I went to pick up my rental car at the airport and my license was expired! The Hilton shuttled me and my daughter around for the weekend. Even picked her up at her sorority at Cornell! Incredible service for this level of hotel!

"Hilton garden inn Ithaca"
Room was very clean, very comfortable, spacious, well-appointed. TV was a bit difficult to get to free channels, such as ABC, NBC, etc. Very efficient at check-in time. Great value for the price.
"Very accommodating staff"
We were there for a sporting event at Cornell and were very happy to learn they had a shuttle to take us and pick us up when we were done. That was a great service for us! We stayed for 2 nights and the 2nd night we happened to have very noisy neighbors who came back to their room at 2am very drunk and very loud! Security did go to their room once […] but it didn't help so instead of taking the next step of having them removed from the hotel I asked to have our room changed. And, yes, at 2:30am we packed up our room and moved down the hall. Everyone in the hotel, from the front desk to the restaurant, was very polite and friendly. Continua a leggere

"Great for Downtown access, but a bit noisy"
As former grads of the schools on the hills, Ithaca is a great getaway and the Hilton is the perfect location downtown and between the two schools. Unfortunately our room was located next to the ice machine/beverage room and the buzzing was extremely loud, and vibration was so bad it shook our bed. There was also street construction noise which kind […] of shook the building too. Overall I gave it a 5 because it is a great hotel and we've stayed twice before (plus the staff was super friendly and helpful). Just make sure you avoid these rooms. Continua a leggere

An absolutely great place to stay downtown!! Staff is positively fantastic .... everyone we encountered - from desk staff to cleaning staff - was very friendly and upbeat. Great location. Very comfortable room. We would definitely go back!
"Good experience at Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca"
The room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. Young staff at the desk was extraordinarily cordial and helpful. By far the best hotel in Ithaca except for the Statler, which is not convenient to downtown. (Skip room service, which is from the pub downstairs and mediocre--there are several good restaurants within a block or two.)
"Best place to stay to visit Ithaca College"
My son goes to Ithaca College and I've stayed at most area hotels. The Hilton Garden is by far the best location wise and service wise. It's an easy walk to restaurants and shopping and a short drive to the college. The Starbucks in the lobby is a real plus. This is my top choice when I visit.

The location is fabulous,both in terms of helping my son move into his dorm at Cornell and for dining, walking and shopping with my daughter when he was busy with freshman orientation activities. The hotel offered a free shuttle service to Cornell so I did not have to take the car and join the long parade of not-moving traffic and hard-to-find parking. […] While they ask you to request it in advance, they took me and picked me up immediately when I needed it. I was delighted to learn that the iconic Moosewood restaurant was down the block from the hotel; after owning their cookbooks for over thirty years, I finally got to eat there. "Enjoyed my stay"
I had a great experience here. You can't beat the location if you're looking to shop the commons and dine in the area. It's a bit pricey, but it's relative to other places in the area (it was also a holiday weekend). The beds are very comfortable (a sleep number bed), the room was very clean and modern, and there was a mini-fridge (which was nice because […] I like to visit the amazing Ithaca Farmers Market on the weekends). It's on the same block as Moosewood (which is my favorite restaurant in Ithaca) and close to a great bookstore (which is in the same mall as Moosewood). The only negative thing I can think of is that the coffeemaker didn't work, although I just may not have been able to figure out how to use it. However, the hotel provided free coffee in the lobby. Other than this minor detail, the hotel was spotless, with extremely courteous and professional service. "Good Hotel"
We had stayed at the Hilton before and like it - right in the middle of downtown. However, this time, we were given one of the 4 smoking rooms (I didn't know hotels still had them). We were told we could change rooms the next day. We were able to open the window and an ozone machine was brought in to clean the air. Nothing worked. At 11:30 pm my husband, […] unable to breath, went to the desk and asked them to call the Holiday Inn two blocks away. We packed up and moved and spent the night in the worst room I've been in since I was a college student traveling on the cheap in Europe. The next day we went back to the Hilton and had a great non-smoking room. If you go make sure you say NO Smoking!! And don't go to the Holiday Inn. Continua a leggere

Location, location, location. You are ultimately paying for the best located hotel in town. Hilton Garden Inn is perfectly located in the middle of everything. Within walking distance of great restaurants and shopping at the commons. A short ride away from downtown Ithaca or Cornell/Ithaca College campuses. The free and convenient parking garage couldn't […] get any better. The free internet couldn't get any better -- solid connection and easy to connect to. Nothing special about the rooms...clean and comfortable. Nothing special about the service...friendly and accommodating. Unfortunate encounter of a fire alarm and having to evacuate. "Don't stay here..."
We were placed in a amoking room, when we were not notified that the reservation would be for a smoking room, and one of us has asthma. This required us to sleep in WINTER with the air conditioning on to try to ventilate the room, since the windows do not open. The smell of smoke was OVERWHELMING. All of our clothes smelled when we got home as well. […] Furthermore, we received a wake up call early in the morning, when we never requested any wake up call...so much for getting some rest and relaxation. Finally, when we went to take a shower the water was FREEZING COLD. The front desk told us it was because everyone was taking showers at the same time and there was nothing they could do about it. The room is very clean and spacious. Service was great. The hotel was a bit pricey for a weekday without any holidays, for the price they charged, breakfast should have been offered.

We had a great experience at this hotel. It was clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly and accomadating. The location is excellent and the free breakfast is delicious.

It wa sone of my worst stays in a Hotel within the last couple of years. I do travel a lot both inside the US and abroad.This hotel smells awefully bad and service does not exist. We will never check in to another Hilton Hotel. The rate was too hogh for a terrible rooom and horrible service.
"poor customer service"
being given a smoking room when we clearly purchased a non-smoking room online and then not receiving any apologies or sincerity from the staff was truly an insult. I would expect better from a place that charges as much as they do for a fairly basic room.
