Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 2 set 2012purtroppo al mio arrivo (ore 8,45 p.m.) mi è stato detto che l' hotel era pieno e la mia prenotazione non era stata inserita a sistema. Mi si chiedeva quindi di spostarmi in un' altra struttura. Infastidita, ho chiesto come mai nessuno mi avesse richiamata o avvertita via mail e alle mie lamentele è spuntata magicamente la stanza. Detto questo l' hotel è carino e originale, migliorabile la gestione del cliente da parte del personale alla reception.

"MICROLETTO"
Quartiere non bello (ma amburgo è la capitale degli alcolizzati) ma posizione strategica. Personale ottimo colazione buona. LETTO: una piazza e mezzo per due persone (le indicazioni della prenotazione parlavano di un queen ma su un centinaio di alberghi con il queen in cui ho alloggiato questo era sicuramente il più piccolo). Pagando 20 euro al giorno […] si poteva cambiare. Per un settimana si riesce a dormire (non bene). Lo consiglio per la posizione centralissima. E' un quartiere di ubriachi e prostitute ma non ho avuto alcun fastidio (ci sono 2 stazioni di polizia in 500 metri). Colazione: mancavano i pasticcini dolci ma tutto il resto era buono e abbondante. Although quite clean this hotel offered no in room service you had to purchase coffee or tea from a machine in the lobby. The hotel had an odour of stale cigarettes the beds were hard and the pillows were flat and for a family room it was very small overall not very comfatable and you can also hear the odd train from time to time.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

If you want a hotel close to central station this is your place. Surrounding environment is a little dodgy but ok. The hotel was comfortable enough. The pillows are almost flat so not great and the rooms are not sound proofed (as advertised) But overall I would stay again here. "A Good Spot for One Night"
We stayed here with our toddler for only one night, as we were passing through Hamburg on our way to the Baltic Sea. The hotel is conveniently located about a 2 minute walk from the Hauptbahnhof (main train station) - but the neighbourhood is a little seedy at night. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself to be clean […] and in good condition. We checked in late and were up and out early the next morning - so our time in this hotel was pretty limited, but overall it was a nice experience and we would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quick place to rest their head while passing through Hamburg. "Wonderful Hotel!!"
This is a great little hotel close to the train station. The only reason I did not give it a 5 on room comfort is it is small. Very good value for the cheap price. Rooms quite small but staff very friendly and helpful. Free wifi and great buffet breakfast included in tariff. The stay was pretty decent - my girlfriends and I stayed in a triple occupancy room. I'd say our major concerns would be: the third "single"/sofa bed was not stable because everyone someone moved, the bed would spring up... and also you are required to leave your room key at the front desk when you leave for the day. I've never stayed at a hotel that […] required you to leave your key at the reception if you have paid and reserved the room! When asked about why I had to leave the key they said "it's the rules" .... "A not-nice area with very average staff..."
In terms of decor and fittings, the Hotel Eleazar Novum was a decent 3* hotel. The room was small, as others have pointed out in reviews, but it was clean and neat, as was the bathroom. It would have been nice if the room had a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities, but we coped without. Free wi-fi in the room and throughout the hotel was very […] useful. It was mildy annoying to have to hand in our room key every time we went out, and ask for it again when we came back. And reception staff couldn't really be described as welcoming or friendly. The main reason I woudn't recommend this hotel is the slightly dodgy area it is located in. We felt safe walking from the Hauptbahnhof to the hotel (about 50 metres), but we went out on our first night to find dinner and explore the area, and were a little perturbed by the number of casinos, sex shops, drunks or drug users and prostitutes about. I would not have felt at all safe if my husband wasn't with me. When he went out alone to the convenience store another evening, he was propositioned twice within 100 metres of the hotel. And on our last night we were frequently woken by pimps and prostitutes arguing and talking on their mobile phones in the street below. If the hotel was in a different area of Hamburg I think I would definitely say it was good value for money, but the area really spoilt it for us. We were there for 2 days and the most important reason for booking here is its proximity to the main train/bus station as well as the city centre. Our room was small but I liked how the bathroom was large enough. As it is located near the main train station, you will be near the dodgy street of Steinstrasse but Bremer Reihe seemed safe enough. The train trip from the airport to the main station was very convenient and stress-free then it was only a short walk to the Eleazar Novum which was easy to find. The main shopping street runs from the station to the rathaus and main square. There is a supermaket upstairs at the station. "CITY TRIP TO HAMBURG"
Booked this hotel because it appeared to be close to the railway station and it was. Just behind the Europaischerhof. Its only three stars so expectations were not high but the bed was comfortable the bathroom had a bath, with a shower attachment which more or less worked and it was all big enough for a few days. Breakfast was included and was "okay" […] variety is the spice of life and there was none there but from the choice you could select something. Wifi was free and worked easily, but the "wellness" cost €8 per day on top so we never bothered. The car park is clearly not for a "fast" car so don't try. For normal cars no problem getting in and out but at €12 per night and given it is virtually on the railway station without a car is probably best. The location is perfect. It takes just 2 minutes walk to Hamburg Hbf. The staff in this hotel is friendly and willing to help. The only problem is the size of room is small. Excellent location right by the train station and bus station very easy to find the hotel. Just out of the way from the red light area so you don't get all the noise that brings.
