"Great location, but very simple"
Beautiful island; great location to get away from it all and enjoy the scenery. The hotel, however, is very simple, rustic and remote; don't expect a fancy resort!
we stayed in barefoot lodge the fans in room did not work.was a shared kitchen bathroom,it was filthy rotten bait smell in fridge, droppings threw kitchen cupboards. bathroom cleaner left all mops rags ect outside door scattered everywhere and didnt clean them,was still there when we left next afternoon.we told reception but was not cleaned.very overpriced […] for food,drinks $18 for a basic hamburger extra $6.50 for chips and was cold.cocktails $18.00 + The grounds was beautiful and the beach.and free use of activities was good.not at the way i pictured the whitsundays. "A great relaxing place"
The beachview room was tropical, modern, comfortable with a wonderful view. The only negative being the thin wall between the next room, which meant we were woken on the secnd morning by our elderly negihbour coughing and talking loudly. "The best service possible by all staff members."
The staff was the best feature of the hotel. There were tracks to walk, tennis, miniature golf + more that was free. The minus was the pricing of the breakfast,lunch and dinner that was sky high comparred to the prices in sydney.

Plage de sable, tuba et plongée bouteilles à plusieurs heures de bateau relativement cher. Hôtel vieux et mal entretenu, mauvaises isolation phonique. Personnel très sympathique, bon rapport qualité/prix pour les repas. Ile magnifique pour les ballade en forêt, bien desservie par les bateaux. "Long Island aux Whitsundays: Barefoot Lodge"
On y a passé 4 nuits avec ma copine et c'était plus que décevant. Les réceptionnistes étaient désagréables, notre chambre très sale, poussière et araignées à souhait, pareil pour la cuisine commune laissée à l'abandon, on a du insister pour se servir de leur BBQ qui ne marchait plus qu'en le démarrant avec un briquet, à peine dangereux! Les murs des […] toilettes étaient d'une hauteur d' 1m60! Le quotidien n'était pas agréable. Certes, il propose un mini-golf, du tennis, salle de gym, deux piscines, mais c'n'est pas grand chose. Sa seule chance, c'est de proposer des prix bas et d'avoir aucune concurrence. Faites plutôt des croisières à partir d' Airlie Beach. Continua a leggere

Om det inte vore för " the great barrier reef" så hade vistelsen på resorten varit en plåga...
Bra för barnfamiljer då frukost och middag är gratis för barn.
