Il piccolo bed and breakfast è molto carino e pulitissimo. La colazione però è stranamente assai scarsa e con quantitativi limitati. "Hospitality at its finest"
We stayed in multiple venues while in AK for 11 days and this place, by far, had the nicest customer service and hospitality. Breakfast in the fridge, ready to go, made the morning quiet and not rushed. When we come back to AK and find ourselves near Palmer, we will definitely come back to the Alaskan Garden Gate B & B. This was a great stay. The Alaska Garden Gate B&B is a great place to stay and when the weather wasnt great in Anchorage they provided me with great other solutions that worked out perfectly (to get out of the valley / go to a glacier and more). Very nice unit. Their should be a warning on the directions that they re-did the road and you need special directions now to find it. Host was wonderful. Interesting having a breakfast to microwave yourself at a B&B but it worked. The jacuzzi was nice, however the hotwater tank is not sized for it. I have requested it be changed to Served In Guest Room/Continental so that you know it's not in a communal dining room, etc. Each cottage or apartment features a kitchen for guests' convenience. Upon check-in, you'll find a breakfast basket in your refrigerator, and if you're staying multiple nights with us, a fresh basket is delivered each day for the following morning. It includes an egg entree such as quiche or omlettes for you to heat up when you're ready, as well as muffins or breads, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal packets or other breakfast items. Coffee, creamer, sugar and a variety of teas are always on hand. Whatever time you wake, your breakfast is there for you. Different entrees and cold items are offered each day for variety, since many of our guests stay with us several days or weeks. We are happy to answer any questions as you plan your stay.

"Where to start!"
There were numerous cute little yellow cabins on the premises but we were housed in a converted mobile home. The unit was split into 2 units, one on each end (ours being the tongue end of the trailer). The front of the unit had been sided and painted but the back was "trailer house". The unit was clean. Workmanship appeared to have been done by a weekend […] carpenter with minimal skills and savaged material some of which fit the space - some did not. The brochure indicated a beautiful breakfast served in a "common" room with our guests but our breakfast was in a basket placed in our refrigerator each morning having been put there the previous afternoon. The food was ok but nothing like what was pictured. If I remember correctly there was mention of a lake on the property. We didn't find one! Directions to the B & B were sketchy at best. I mentioned this to Karen and she was amazed stating that no one else had ever brought that to her attention. There is a small grey line off the highway to the property. These guests stayed in the economy apartment which is "basic" It is very clean and comfortable, just with older furnishings. For guests who want to stay for $40-60 less per night than in our new cottages, this can be a great option. The brochure that these guests reference is one that should no longer be in use, but that they picked up from our local visitor center, where it was mistakenly available. We haven't offered breakfast inside our B&B since 2010 and now provide breakfast baskets in each guest's refrigerator. We don't have a lake. Directions can be found on our website and we welcome contact for information. GPS's are unreliable in our area. We've submitted updates to mapping to better show our location and encourage contact.

"Beautiful views and pretty cottage."
The cottage was charming and spotless, and the views and flowers were out of this world. The advertisement specified two beds; there was only one. The breakfast was very limited and offered nothing to non-meat or egg eaters. We had two nights there. The first morning we had a tiny bowl of fruit and coffee -- no toast or cereal. The second morning we […] asked for toast and we each got two small white bread pieces of toast with no preserves or jam. We are not fussy in the least and thought our request to forego the bacon, etc., would not be a hardship on the owner, and we were surprised to have nothing offered to replace the french toast and bacon. This is a B&B and we feel that cereal or an offer of more toast (or something!) should have been made. Regarding the two bed situation, the couch in the living room was made up for us to substitute for the extra bed for the first night. Probably ok but didn't meet expectations. Take note of the rules, especially your allocated breakfast time. There was limited food, late comers went hungry. The chalet we stayed in was almost brand new, with a jacuzzi and a king bed. There was a great view of the mountains and a glacier off in the distance. Everything was very clean, the breakfast was very good. The TV reception was very flakely for periods of time, but we didn't go there to watch TV anyway. charmant ,aere,peut etre un tantinet trop pres de la route.....mais propre,mignon,sympa/bon petit dej/nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu voir la masquotte du coin (une femelle elan qui vient brouter devant la maison),mais bon ce sera pour une autre fois...Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

"Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in der Umgebung"
Zentral zu Strassenverbindungen gelegen, aber abseits vom Ort. Sehr gepflegte Gartenanlage. Karen bot einen freundlichen Empfang und das Frühstück am Folgemorgen war frisch zubereitet und schmeckte sehr gut. Wir waren in einem Cottage und wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Eine Strasse war in der Nähe aber u.E. nicht störend. Direkt an ein Waldstück […] angerenzend, mit der Chance früh morgens oder am Abend einen Elch im Garten zu sichten, vor allem wenn Äpfel reif sind (war bei uns leider noch nicht der Fall!)
