Bella la posizione, scomoda la camera al 3 piano no ascensore, sule indicazioni il numero civico errato trae in inganno gli ospiti che suonano ad un campanello dove non risponde nessuno. La pulizia della camera lascia un po' a desiderare (cmq sufficiente) ed il bagno (privato) ma nel corridoio l'abbiamo trovato aperto e probabilmente utilizzato da qualcun […] altro. Ottima la colazione abbondante e inclusa nel prezzo e ottimi gli orari del checkout. Servizio deposito bagagli ok, e cortesia ok. Manca la possibilità di chiudere la camera dall'interno senza chiave con pomolo (in caso di 2 ospiti e bagno fuori stanza si resta chiusi dentro la camera quando il compagno/a è in bagno.) L'Hotel è facilmente accessibile anche con bagalio. Dalla Stazione del treno non si devono attraversare ponti, che a Venezia sono scomodi con le valige. Purtroppo non c'è insegna esterna e risulta difficile individuare l'entrata dell'Hotel. All'interno però, non c'è ascensore, quindi il bagaglio deve essere portato in camera attraverso le scale. Camera piccola, bagno strettissimo, appena arrivati abbiamo dovuto far cambiare tutte le lenzuola e le coperte perchè sporche. Non è possibile utilizzare il proprio asciugacapelli perchè l'interruttore termico a protezione dell'impianto è calibrato e scatta appena colleghi un carico non previsto. La loro giustificazione è stata che è previsto dalla […] legge per evitare incendi... bah???????? Il loro asciugacapelli è praticamente inesistente perchè ha una portata d'aria bassissima e non asciuga per niente. Nel corridoio che porta alla camera e nel locale scale che porta al primo piano c'era una puzza di fogna che ci ha accompagnato per tutti e 4 i giorni di permanenza. La camera in generale non era tenuta bene. Di pro c'è che è comodo da raggiungere da piazzale Roma quindi per coloro che vanno a Venezia in aereo basta prendere solo l'Autobus dall'aeroporto a Venezia. Continua a leggere

Buon hotel, camere pulite e spaziose,la nostra aveva la finestra e un bel balconcino. I bagni non sono in camera e la colazione è discreta e a buffet. L'hotel è vicino alla stazione ferroviaria e in un quartiere tranquillo.

The hotel was recommended to us by friends who had stayed there some years ago. It was very convenient to get to - a short bus ride from the airport for 6 Euro each and then a short easy walk to the hotel. The hotel website directions were easy to follow. Our room was on the "4th" floor (but up 6 flights) and there is no lift so that was tough with […] luggage for me and my mom. We were also put in a separate, nearby section of the property that also appeared to have private apartments in it and so was less secure. Someone was smoking in a room or apartment. Breakfast choices were limited. Unfortunately, our bathroom floor drain also had a foul odor coming out of it which made the whole room stink. The staff was not friendly. I'd not stay there again. This is very close to Venezia Sta Lucia train station only less than a block away. Turn left after you exit the train station and walk till you reach the first alley on your left. The front desk staff is nice and speak English. There is a wifi in the room, but the cost is expensive... 5.00 euro per hour. There is a one computer in the lobby first-come […] first serve basis that is FREE. The room we stayed in is in the 2nd floor and it was a difficult carrying a luggage all the way to the 2nd floor using the stairs. There is NO elevator in this hotel. So, be sure you can carry your luggage when you go up the stairs. There is a balcony outside my room. The bathroom is shared with other 5 or 8 rooms which is located in the hallway. I didn't have any problem when I need to use it because most ppl are either done using it or had got up early before me. The breakfast is poor. There is absolutely no hot food. No boiled eggs. Hotel is very close to train station, can walk to San Marco. Breakfast was adequate-croissants, rolls, cereals, yogurt, could use some fresh fruit. Venice in the spring was overrun with mosquitoes, the hotel used a nontoxic but odoriferous pesticide. Front desk staff was helpful

Firstly we had booked a room with private bathroom and did not get one. Receptionist was helpful to us. Room was small(maybe Venice average) so twin room was pretty much a double, with a decent balcony. Close to bus and train station and the centre. Breakfast was quite tasty though not much variety of food on offer.

The hotel was in a backstreet nearby the train station. The hotel offered us a ridiculous room without bathroom, which is in the public area outside the room. I booked the alloggi hotel for me and my partner. It was in a perfect location but with four floors and no lift. We're we're on the top floor and our landing had no lights for the whole 4 days we got their. So it made it impossible to see in the evenings. Despite numerous complaints. This is a budget hotel, but it was fine for the few days we stayed prior to boarding a cruise ship. By USA standards, the room was small, maybe 10 by 11 feet. We paid for and did get a private bathroom, but it did not occur to me that in Europe a private bath doesn't mean it is connected to your room. In our case, the private bath was directly across […] the hallway and we had a key to the bath room. Probably the bathroom is shared if no one is paying for a private bath. There was a sink in the main room, which was helpful. Very nice towels were provided in main (bed) room. The sink and bathroom also had paper towels. There was a wall mounted hair dryer in the bathroom. The dryer was weak by USA standards, maybe 700 watts. We thought the free breakfast was very good, with yogurt, muesli, fresh breads/pastries, good juices. I couldn't make the air conditioner cool the room, but opening the windows worked well in early November. I also couldn't get the TV to operate, but not speaking Italian that wasn't real concern. There was a elevator/lift for handicap access from street level to lowest level of the hotel (a few feet up), but elevator to reach higher floors. We had four bags to haul up three flights of stairs. There was a room safe, but you need to get key from desk. Overall, the Agli Artisti is a fine place to sleep with a convenient location, but don't expect luxury. It more along the lines of a Motel 6. The hotel and the room as a whole was gud however a couple of things were very disappointing. Top of our list was the horrible stench that we had to bear while going or coming down the stairs from our room on the second floor. We complained about the stench and on our second complaint were told that it must be the sever pipe issue that happens all the […] time and was very difficult to fix and so just cope with it. I would assume that for a known problem of this magnitude the hotel management would take active steps to fix it however that is not the case. As for the room, it was clean and pleasant however the wiring seemed to be off, throughout the stay we could not use any hair dryer or other electrical device as it caused the power to trip, we advised the reception but nothing could be done about it. The room has bare minimum, no hot water kettle or tea/ coffee making facility and the windows/doors not being double glazed can be quite noisy in the night. Great location as it is very close to the train station. Our room faced the lane and entrance. It was quite loud as there was lots of foot traffic and people travelling through. The breakfast was a typical "petite dejeuner" and a good way to start the day.

This is one of the authentic centrally located hotels near the Grand Canal. It's just off the main drag down a narrow alley - so there's a fair bit of passing noise, and some kids were playing footy. I saw two dutch guys filling juice glasses with cereal and milk and trying to improvise a breakfast. I took a glass of metallic juice from the machine, a stale pastry, and fled. When booking this hotel I wanted to have quick access to transportation to the airport. I booked a room with a shared bathroom. The bed was awful. They advertised AC, but my room never cooled off. I was not satisfied by this hotel. The high price didn't align with the quality. My room also smelled strongly of cleaning supplies and the smell didn't subside the entire time, so I avoided being inside as long as I could. Breakfast was sub-par.

There was only one friendly hotel desk person - all others were very unfriendly. There was a problem getting the safe unlocked. When the service man came to fix it, he was extremely rude and took $160 out of the safe after he opened it. We didn't realize that until after we had checked out of the hotel.

The dinning room service was excellent, including friendly attitude of the staff in that area, the cleanliness of the place and its pleasant looks. Not a hotel for the unfit (unless you get a ground-floor room) as there is no lift and it's a tall building (I was three flights up), but then Venice is all about walking and climbing steps over bridges all day long anyway! Location to train station and vaparettos excellent. Room was merely adequate, bare minimum, but very clean. Shared bath was OK. It's a walk-up - you could be on the 4th floor, that's 5 (+ high-ceilings) flights up in Europe! Good luck with heavy luggage, and don't forget anything once you're back at sea level. Staff told us wrong info on 24hr tkt for […] waterbus - can't use it for airport, so we had to pay again for transportation there... and we didn't get our money's worth from the 24hr waterbus tkt since we couldn't use it the next day at all. Hotel was not far from the station, however had to walk down a long alleyway to reach it ,not very noticable due to lak of hotel sinage. few steps to reception had disabled lift though. waiting lounge was in a passage where suitcases could be left but not secured. Had booked a room on the first floor having notified them by email,due to walking difficulties […] but was placed on the second floor. this was up four flights of stairs paid for a double room with bathroom, but this was in the hallway oposite, and we had a key for it,It was a decent size and clean, but not as conveniet as en-suite. The room was a tripple with a balcony overlooking the ally! The bed had a iron bedstead with a mattress on top and was hard on the back! So did not sleep very well! Breakfast was adequate.
