"Down town hotel, not so much around"

It is a very old one with some parts renovated (but renovated in a way that you feel to be in 1920s). I got a very nice suite, with A/C and also there the feeling was like to be in a new room of 1920 (the wal paper, the furniture and everytjhing seems to be coming straight from the past. Some other parts are still to renovate and this gives the hotel a magic atmosphere, quite misterious. Last but not least, everybody is very nice and helpful in the hotel and the breakfast can be a real "Gala Dinner" with any kind of food. If you take all of this it in the right way, it is a unique experience, otheriwse it can be just disappointing.

Il locale per la colazione e' piccolo nei pressi della struttura ci sono un discount (7 eleven) e un distributore di carburante. E' necessario comunque avere un'auto per muoversi perche' non mi pare di aver notato fermate di trasporto pubblico nei dintorni ma mi sono fermato solo una notte e quindi non ho avuto tempo di rendermene conto anche perche' ero automunito

"THIS IS TRULY A ROACH MOTEL."
This hotel was disgusting. There were cockroaches in the bathroom. Urine in the toilet when I checked in. No toilet paper to be found. The phone didn't work. The outlets didn't work. There was no parking close to the room. Pool was filthy. I can't comment on the breakfast because I was too grossed out to even consider eating there. When I complained […] at the front desk the next morning, I was told that I should have walked down to the lobby to complain the night before. Yes, maybe I should have, but I had a sleeping child that I wasn't willing to wake up that late at night. I should have been able to call, but wait...the phone wasn't working! I could have charged my cell phone and used that to call, but wait...the outlets didn't work! Terrible service. Filthy bathroom. Cockroaches. I would have been better off sleeping in my SUV. "Served the purpose"
Took my family. Was a little scarey for the kids. Would stay in a pinch but only if it was my wife and I. Staff was nice enough but had a few drunks walking around at night. Not a family place, you get what you pay for.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

We stayed on a busy weekend, so of course we were gonna have problems. The first night our water temp when taking a shower would go from HOT & COLD to normal without notice, the ice machine had NO ice. We found out other people were paying about $25 a night less then we were, not sure why or where they got their rates from. But beds were ok, everything […] seemed clean. While I was satisfied with the overall low price of my Expedia package, America's Best Value in Blue Springs was - let us say - not exactly 3 star accommodation. As it turned out, the place was very busy on Saturday night with much opening and closing of doors and lots of tapping of stiletto heels along the cement walkways!
