Nel Parco Gole Alcantara vicino Taormina ed Etna
Terralcantara è un complesso di 4 strutture agrituristiche dislocate all’interno del Parco delle Gole dell’Alcantara, a pochi metri dal fiume stesso.
Si trova a 20 chilometri dal centro storico di Taormina e dalle spiegge di Giardini Naxos, 25 chilometri dal vulcano Etna e a 55 chilometri da Catania, tutte raggiungibili in auto.
All’interno dell’ampio parco botanico e geologico, sono dislocate le quattro case coloniche che compongono il complesso turistico.

Sono disponibili 3 piscine all’aperto, di cui una per bambini. Il parcheggio interno è gratuito. Terralcantara offre due ristoranti ove, oltre alla colazione gratuita, è possibile gustare il pranzo e la cena oltre ad un bar caffetteria. Sono acquistabili in hotel i prodotti gastronomici prodotti in loco.
Camere immerse nella natura con tutti i comfort
Le spaziose camere, tutte elegantemente arredate e corredate in stile siciliano o moderno, hanno vista sul giardino o sul fiume e offrono aria condizionata, minibar, scrivania, televisione, bagno privato con asciugacapelli, doccia, articoli da bagno gratuiti. Il servizio in camera è disponibile solo di giorno.
Ogni mattina viene gratuitamente servita un'abbondante colazione con pietanze tipiche e genuine, gran parte delle quali sono prodotti in loco.

I Gorges Alcantara Apartaments sono situati nell'edificio centrale del Parco Botanico e Geologico di Terralcantara, ubicato sulla SS 185,località Sciarra, in Via Nazionale 5 a Motta Camastra.
I clienti devono effettuare il check-in presso l'edificio Casa Delle Monache (Contrada Finaita - Graniti) e poi saranno indirizzati alla sistemazione assegnata nel parco.
La reception è aperta dalle 10.00 alle 18.00.

Una terrazza situata sul monte Tauro con una vista mozzafiato sulla costa della Sicilia e sull'Etna dona a Taormina il suo fascino senza tempo; è il luogo della Sicilia preferito dal jet - set internazionale. I vicoli stretti e scoscesi del quartiere antico sono ricchi di porcellane e terracotte dipinte e si consiglia di visitarli a piedi. Le principali attrazioni sono costituite dai resti dell'epoca classica e dai palazzi di epoca rinascimentale, mentre il teatro greco-romano viene ancora utilizzato per festival e concerti.

un pò difficoltoso a comunicare con la reception e trovare l'esatta ubicazione (grazie navigatore) scarsa informazione della sistemazione sono tre gli agriturismi ho saputo che sarei stato ospitato nelle casa delle monache soltanto al ceck-in per il resto è un posto incantevole ospitalità ottima ed anche la posizione geografica ( taormina, giardini, […] gole dell'alcantara e la relativa vicinanza a catania con i relativi centri commerciali, e le spiaggie di letojanni) manca sky ma per una settimana di relax è ok, la piscina era un pò sporchina. ottimo,pulito,ed eccelente personale

mozzafiato e accoglienza impeccabile. Ristorante e camere davvero splendidi. Difficoltà nel trovare il posto, ma alla fine ne vale la pena. ottimo personale anche per stranieri.
"Bel soggiorno"
Appena si arriva bisogna recarsi all'ingresso del Parco Gole Alcantara, dove c'è la reception generale che smista le prenotazioni tra le strutture convenzionate. Non sapendolo noi abbiamo girato per un po' seguendo le indicazioni confuse del navigatore! Siamo stati destinati al Resort "Il Borgo": una struttura nuovissima, con bella piscina e vista […] sulle Gole. Lo staff è molto disponibile e cortese. Le camere sono pulite e curate e la prima colazione invitante. 3 punti che potrebero infastidire l'ospite: - la mia camera (pur pulita ed elegante) non è mai stata rifatta durante il soggiorno (neppure il letto), cosa molto strana per un resort 4 stelle - il "Borgo" non offre mai la possibilità di pranzare e se dopo una giornata di "esplorazione" delle Gole pensate di fermarvi a cena presso il resort mettete in conto che potreste dover spostarvi in auto: la cena infatti "ruota" a turno tra le strutture convenzionate - l'auto è indispensabile per raggiungere l'ingresso del Parco e per arrivare ai ristoranti e locali dei paesi più modaioli come Taormina o Giardini Naxos. "Ottima Struttura"
Il posto è bellissimo sopratutto se si desidera un pò di quiete, splendido panorama sulla vallata e come sfondo la piscina ben curata e arredata. Essendo stata presso questa struttura più volte la consiglio vivamente perchè crea un'atmosfera intima e un pò fuori dal mondo, aiutati dalle stanze che con i letti a baldacchino sembra di rituffarsi nel passato […] però con i tutti i comfort di oggi.... Could improve: smell of drain in bathroom and consistency in hot water at casa gialla ( yellow house ) Excellent continental breakfast and dinner. Expect typical Sicilian food though. Very genuine ingredients. For the location you definitely need a car. We were concerned about a review we read about snakes. Not true... There are only harmless lizards. […] Anyway you're in the countryside. From what we read, signs have improved because we found it on our first try. Search for casa dell monache where check in is required. The staff were also patient with our 1year old toddler which we appreciated a lot. A must see is the gole d'alcantara for which a free pass is given with free parking. That alone is worth around €7 per person. Will definitely return On a funny note...you will definitely find your keys in a bag because the keychain they give you is as big as the palm of my hand ;) Continua a leggere
"good base to explore from"
We stayed in Casa delle Monache in a junior suite. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed however was extremely hard and uncomfortable. For an additional daily charge you could have gas to the kitchenette which had hob, microwave, etc to be self catering. The hotel is very quiet and rural although a short drive to beaches bars and restaurants […] at Naxos and Taormina. The staff are very helpful. Hotel needs proper directions as it is extremely difficult to find...spent some time driving along ss185 before we found it. Also didn't know which of the 3 hotels we would be in and just happened to arrive at the one we were to stay in. It would be nice to know which one before you get there. Breakfast is as you would expect in Italy. Dinner at the hotel was reasonable but when we had to eat at Il Borgo as the chef was off sick, we were very disappointed. "Beautiful peaceful location but don't expect hotel service"
Botanical gardens quite difficult to find ; when you get there you need to go in the café/shop to let them know you have arrived. It is frustrating they cannot let you know in advance where you will be staying. Il Borgo is in a very beautiful, tranquil location 2 kilometres away, and we had the disabled room (we are not disabled) - spacious, good wet […] room. It was next to the pool. Pool and surroundings lovely, but not enough parasols. We were disappointed that we could not eat at Il Borgo the first night as there was a private party in the dining room. When we tried the meal at Il Borgo it started off very well the main course was dreadful – dried up veal kebabs (supposedly). We never ate dinner there again, but drove into Giardini Naxos or Taormina – it is only 10-15 minutes away. You do need a car if you are based here. Breakfast as expected, ie bread, jams, ham, cheese, various cakes. Coffee and juice not great. Staff friendly, bar/lounge was “open” all day, so if you wanted a drink you could find somebody on reception. Most of the staff spoke some English. You get the feeling that Il Borgo is not quite “finished”. The car park is small and not surfaced at all. It’s not the place for teenagers, but if you want to get a lot of novels read whilst lying in the sun, this is the place for you! Continua a leggere

This is a farm house, not a hotel. It's very hard to find, poor breakfast (not organic at all). Nothing around. Many snakes.

Très bel ensemble, au calme mais il est bien dommage que des informations claires sur le lieu à trouver et notre résidence ne nous soient pas données au préalable (nous avons cherché deux heures). J'ai dormi dans une chambre de la "maison jaune" et je n'ai donc pas vu un seul des bâtiments ou des éléments (piscine) présentés en photo dans l'annonce. "Très bien"
Bel hotel, tout le confort mais le matin on est réveillé par la lumière qui entre dans la chambre car il n'y a pas de volet ou de rideaux occultants, dommage... Sinon, je le recommande. Pas de Wifi car il y a avait une panne générale dans le village. Bon acceuil

Difficile à trouver parce que le nom sur la réservation ( nom de l'entreprise) ne correspondait pas au nom précis de l'hotel ( ils ont 4 sites différents avec d'autres noms.. ) Un petit casse tête qui nous a permis d'apprécier la disponibilité des siciliens , même à minuit passé !!! Et de l'eau tout juste tiède pour la douche.... Ne restant qu'une nuit, […] cela ne m'a pas gêné plus que ça , mais quand même..... Sinon, cadre et décoration magnifiques, spacieux, très agréable... Muy lindo el entorno. El hotel limpio, ideal para ir con niños. Tiene un sector de juegos y el desayuno fue muy bueno. La habitación muy amplia aunque un poco fria. Está a 15 minutos en auto de Taormina. Imprescindible ir con movilidad propia.

Very beutiful place in a mountains, nice, clear hotel in an orange garden, But you need to be aware that it is pretty far to taormina because of road in the mountains. Absolutely uneatable breakfast. Very strange thet women on the reception don't know even " hello " on English:) But they are friendly!

Das Hotel ist grundsätzlich (und vor allem im Vergleich zu anderen Hotels in der Region) ok. Wie geschrieben handelt es sich unserer Ansicht nach nicht um ein Agritourismo, sondern um ein Hotel, dass sich im Zusammenschluss mit einigen Bauern der Gegend und im Zusammensammenhang mit dem Alcantara Park Agritourismo nennt. Es gibt sich 3 von 6 Sternen, […] was wir bestäigen können. Das Zimmer war grosszügig, und grundsätzlich sauber. Mit einigen Ausnahmen: Der Kühlschrank im Zimmer war inakzeptabel und konnte nicht verwendet werden, denn in ihm hatte sich eine ausgewachsene Schimmelpilzkolonie angesiedelt. Dieser wurde auch während unseres mehrtägigen Aufenthaltes nie gesäubert und hatte einen Schwamm schon länger nicht mehr aus der Nähe gesehen. Der Abfluss des Lavabos war zu Beginn verstopft und wurde erst nach 3 Tagen gereinigt. Dies hat evtl. einen Zusammenhang mit einem penetranten, unangenehmen Geruch, der nach jeder Reinigung zwingendermassen zu einem längeren Zimmerlüften veranlasste. Die Tücher waren sauber und es wurden auch Duschmittel und Seifen nachgefüllt. Die Betten waren ok, allerdings waren die Decken nicht sauber. Mit dem Sofa wurde ein ausgewachsender Wasserschaden an der dahinter liegenden Wand verdeckt, der aber ansonsten nicht weiter störte. Das Zimmer verfügt über eine funktionierende Klimaanlage (die als Kühlschrank herhalten musste) und einen TV, der allerdings nur Italienische Sender (sowie MTV zeigt). Auf dem Balkon standen einige, meist kaputte Stühle und ein Tischchen. Das Essen war gut und üpig. Allerdings musste man an einem Abend in ein andere Hotel des verbundes Wechseln, um zu essen, da im Hotel an diesem Abend nichts angeboten wurde. Parkplätze waren genug vorhanden. Wir haben unser Motorrad gesichert mit Kette und Diebstahlwarnanlage vor dem Hotel stehen lassen. Obwohl in der Nähe einer Strasse nach Giardini Naxos gelegen, hört von der Strasse nichts. "Sehr zu empfehlen"
Das Hotel liegt etwas abseits, aber wunderschön im Grünen. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön, der Service war ok. Auch der Pool ist zu empfehlen. In ca. 15 Autominuten ist man in Taormina. Die Preise sind super im Gegensatz zu einem Hotel in Taormina. Alles in Allem sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man ein Fahrzeug hat.

Hotel très sympa (Il Borgo), chambre impeccable, piscine agréable ... Je recommande vivement cet hotel. Près de l'autoroute (10 kms) donc accès rapide aux sites intéressants : Etna, Taormine, Catane, Giardini Naxos (plages), Syracuse, Aciréale ...

"Top. Wärmstens zu empfehlen."
Um meine obigen Bewertungen kurz zu erklären: (2 wöchiger Aufenthalt einens jungen Paares, 24&25 Jahre, 2.tes Jahr nacheinander im "Il Borgo") Service: Wir haben alles bekommen was wir wollten, man half uns gern und schnell bei allem weiter, die Rezeption war 24 stunden besetzt (was ich einem hotel mit ca. 15 zimmern nicht zumuten würde), allein an […] der verständigung mangelte es manchmal, aber wenn man 2 minuten mehr zeit hat geht auch das. Sauberkeit: Die zimmer werden jeden Tag gereinigt, ohne beanstandungen oder sonstige kritik, handtücher werden aus umweltschutzgründen alle 3 tage gewechselt, häufigerer wechsel gegen akzeptablen aufpreis möglich. Die anlage (Häuser, Pool, und Grün-Areal) ist sehr sauber, mit viel grün. in den 2 mal 14 tagen nie ein kleinstes stück müll gesehen. Komfort: Zimmer mit Balkon, Duschbad, Schrank, großem Doppelbett, Fernseher, Schreibtisch, Kühlschrank und Klima. Minuspunkte, weil: Duschkabine recht klein, nur Ital. Fernsehprogramm, kein mobiliar auf dem Balkon.(Aber wir machen auch kein Urlaub im Hotel, dadurch wirklich kleine Minuspunkte.) Lage: Direkt im Tal des Alcantara Flusses gelegen. Kleines Bauerhaus auf einem Hügel und damit auch blick durch das Tal aufs meer. Abzug, weil: Auto dringend notwendig. Umgebung: hat man ein auto, steht einem die ganze Insel zu verfügung. Aber auch mit kurzen Touren hat man genug zu sehen. Strand ist ca. 20 km entfernt, restaurants und supermarkt im nachbarort, der ätna in 1 stunde erreichbar, taormina in 20 min. Top Lage für einen Individuellen Urlaub. Allg. Zufriedenheit: Top, nächstes Jahr sind wir wieder da. Es gibt für uns wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Continua a leggere

The hotel itself and the surroundings are beautiful. It is not very difficult to find the hotel - at least not in daylight. The car is necessary - very few busses and the roads are narrow so bicycles is a very dangerous way or transportation. Also the rooms are nice. We rented a junior suite. The room is rather big and spacious. It has AC and a small […] fridge. However, not a safe - although promised so in the adverts. The bathroom is not so nice considering we rented a small suite. It has no bathtub and only a very small shower and there is not much water coming out of it. The pool-area is ok, but needs a little restoration. The pool is not very big. There is also a small tennis-area but there is a big hole in the court - no tennis on this vacation... The breakfast is not very good - at least not for a central-european. It only contains the basics - nothing extra. Even the oranges are dry and tasteless. The same with dinner (we only had dinner one time at hotel) - it is ok, but very boring food and lacks all form of fantasy - dont eat at hotel! The one thing that was really bad was the staff. Not one person in the staff could talk ANY english at all -not one word. That is a problem, if not italian-talking. What is worse is that some people in the staff are really unfriendly and almost rude people. Furthermore there is no internet-possibilities at all for the guests, unless ofcourse if you bring your own. There is not even an italian newspaper to borrow. The overall impression (food, staff and quality of hotel) will make us change location for our next trip to Sicily. However, if you are italian-speaking and dont mind no-fantasy food and bring internetconnection it is a beautiful place to stay at! Continua a leggere
"Fantastiskt på Il Poggio"
Vi bodde fem dagar på il Poggio, ett av Terralcantara biofarms delhotell. Hotellet var otroligt vackert beläget på en kulle mitt bland citrus och olivodlingar. Det är ett litet ställe med under 10 rum/lägenheter. Pool finns, med milsvidd utsikt över hela Alcantaradalen. Vi bodde två vuxna och två barn i en lägenhet med sovrum och ett stort allrum med […] extrasängar och köksdel. Gott om plats och bra kök med kylskåp och spis. Continua a leggere

het hotel maakt deel uit van een grote organisatie die in deze buurt de touwtjes in handen heeft. meerdere accomodaties en ook de toegang tot de rivierkloof is in hun handen. met een beetje meer effort zou dit een topper kunnen zijn. aandacht voor het eten, inrichting van het appartement is het allemaal net niet. omgeving is prachtig, mooie uitvalsbasis […] voor trips naar taormina, kloof en etna. receptioniste deed haar vreselijke best maar communicatie blijft heel moeilijk als wij geen italiaans en zij maar een paar woordjes frans kent. toch was het verblijf een verademing. de stilte en de natuur zijn overweldigend. echte rust kun je hier vinden. "Simply Beautiful"
Beatiful calm place. Great location in Gole d`Alcantara countryside, resort`s buildings are place on the farm, among trees !!! Rooms are spacious and comfortable and the food is delicious. Gutes Hotel für Ausflüge zur Alcantara Schlucht oder zum Ätna. Bei der Anreise sei empfohlen: Das Hotel gehört zur Terralcantara-Kette und trägt vor Ort einen etwas anderen Namen ("Terralcantara-xxx").

Schöne Anlage, überaus nettes Personal, gemütliches Zimmer mit kleinem Bad, sehr ruhig gelegen, Pool im La Moniccha noch ausbaufähig, besonders erwähnenswert: reichhaltiges Frühstück und besonders leckeres Abendessen (3 Gänge für nur 19 Euro), mit Mietauto idealer Ausgangspunkt, um die Gegend um Taormina zu erkunden. "Skip breakfast"
Nice quiet area, rooms are quite large. But, we were served the worst breakfast we've had in sicily. The bread was probably cut the night before. Not enough deckchairs at the pool, no trees or parasols so no shadow. Not much privacy around the rooms
