Sono arrivato in questo hotel scendendo dall'Airtrain alle 22:00 ed è stata una esperienza agghiacciante....bande che ti guardavano in cagnesco , txisti abusivi con facce orribili che cercavano di accaparrarti da tutte le parti, taxi regolari inesistenti. Fortunatamente ho chiesto ad un autista d'autobus che mi ha indicato la strada per questo hotel e dopo 800 metri a piedi contornato sempre da loschi figuri ho raggiunto l'hotel che devo dire la verità non era male, anche la colazione continentale non era abbondante ma soddisfacente. In conclusione vi consiglio l'hotel ma arrivate assolutamente con il sole quando il quartiere e vivibile e pieno di gente

L'hotel dista circa 10 min a piedi dalla metropolitana ,con 20 min di metro si arriva a Time Square.L'hotel offre la prima colazione con Muffin e caffe.La pulizia è soddisfacente,il quartiere è tranquillo e residenziale. Alcune camere sono interrate ma hanno la finestra,comunque per dormirci e basta è sufficiente.Per spedere il giusto a New York (città cara) è perfetto.

"Very nice hotel"
The hotel was very nice, just a few minor complaints. The room was a frigid 60 degrees when we arrived but we just adjusted the temperature. The lock on the bathroom door seemed to be broken and the light above the mirror was flickering but overall it was really nice, well maintained and comfortable. i thought the pre-cooked breakfast was horrible though. […] Hash browns were just brought out and were ice cold. Can't complain, everything was free but I ended up just having a bagel and juice. I would stay here again for the price. Continua a leggere
"Pretty close to Home Away From Home"
My family is in the area, so we've stayed at a variety of hotels in the greater Huntington area (Melville/Commack/Huntington/Syosset) over the years. The Homewood Suites in Plainview/Melville is definitely the best one we've tried. We had to come in to town unexpectedly for a funeral, and booked pretty last minute. When we arrived, we had perhaps our […] one big glitch - the credit card I gave upon check in was declined - then I was told no, my card was fine, it was actually the card used by hotels.com that was declined (the front desk guy told us this happens a lot) but I guess that's not really a big deal, as we were able to check in just fine and did not have to argue or prove it was prepaid. Our room was a one bedroom suite, which I would highly recommend. It seemed like the rooms were set up so there was a living room "buffer zone" between bedrooms, which really helped with the noise. There was some noise from the room upstairs - running around kind of noises - in the morning, but we were already up, so it didn't interfere with our sleep. The plumbing is quite loud, though, and every time I flushed the toilet I was afraid I'd wake up my husband (I'm pregnant, so that happened a few times each night). Otherwise, the room was clean and well-appointed. I appreciated that the blackout shades overlapped and actually kept out the sunlight. I had to check the clock when I woke up, since I had no idea if it was morning. The breakfast buffet was quite nice - a variety of hot and cold choices, although the scrambled eggs were too wet for my liking. I love the belgian waffle maker, though! I rated the room a 4 for comfort because the bed was a little harder than I'm used to and the pillows were super-soft (we prefer firmer pillows, as we're both side sleepers). Next time, I'll probably bring my own pillows to make it more like home. I had to search for a minute to find the hair dryer, but only b/c I wasn't expecting it to be in its own little drawstring pouch. The hotel isn't Continua a leggere

"Affordable Getaway and convenience for families"
Enjoyed our stay. Great staff and comfortable, clean rooms. Great heated pools and exercise rooms. Affordable prices. Only down side: At night the air smelled faintly of cigarettes.

This was our second stay at the Homewood Suites and we wish there was a Homewood Suite wherever we travelled. The service was great, the room (suite) is very clean and we were pleasantly surprised that breakfast was served on weekends and dinner on weeknights (included). We would definitely recommend it and we will definitely stay there again.

This hotel is clean, comfortable inside the room and out. Offers a great central location to anything you could need or want. My boys 12 & 13 loved the pool and spa area, clean as well, also comfortable water temps, not overly clorinated.

If you are looking for a quick get away from NYC I would encorouge you to visit this property. It is clean, it is calm and quiet, service is on point and the area is short of beautiful. Rooms are nicely decorated and facilities are well kept. I spend two days with my fiancé and we are definitely coming back. Sheers!!!

Our one-night stay was perfect, room was clean and spacious, crib for our daughter was left in our room per our request, breakfast was great. Long Island is beautiful and Homewood Suites represents that well.

"Very small but comfortable..........."
The 1 bedroom suite was very comfortable for my two little ones ansd myself. The only complaint is that it was very small and the kitchen was adequately stocked but no toaster oven. The free meals were nice but the evening dinners were first come first serve, by the last hour there was no bread left and they were not refilling the basket. Also no drinks […] left for the diners. We spent 9 days/8 nights and loved our stay. It was a family vacation and each night we were comfortable! The morning breakfast buffets and Mon-Thurs dinners were great. The food was very well prepared and it was very convenient. The staff was very friendly and accomodated all of our requests. The only issue we experienced was that the indoor pool area […] was HOT, like unbearably hot (thermostat registered 92 degrees). We didn't spend much time in the pool and the staff said there wasn't much they could do to improve the comfort of the room. Homewood Suites on Long Island is quite lovely. Nice winding driveway leading to warm comfortable open lobby. From the first night's stay to the last day we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The rooms were quite clean, family friendly with open full kitchen, dishwasher and fridge were more than sufficient for our weekend needs. We especially loved the […] pool, spa and full buffet. As an ex resident of Suffolk county, this location allowed me easy access to the Long Island Rail Road station in Hicksville, or to the LIE to visit Suffolk County.
