Il suo ristorante è molto frequentato dagli impiegati perchè trovasi nel distretto finanziario della città. Everything as expected of a 4 star hotel. Best things is the location, in close proximity to excellent restaurants, public transportation and not a mention the view of the bay bridge. I got what I paid for in the heart of SF bay area. Make sure you get a room with a view of sea and/or bridge. The other side has only buildings. The hotel has terrace, […] spa, gym and restaurant. We were running all day so I can only review on the room and none of the resturaunts or other amenities of this hotel. The rooms are beautiful, clean and VERY comfortable. Staff was very friendly and quick.

Went back early Jan for an annual business/pleasure trip and had consistently wonderful experiences here. For my second time, everything was great and I noticed and remembered many of the staff (from the bell, housekeeping, front desk etc.) who were the same faces I saw.....a good sign indeed. Great location. Close enough to get to the usual tourist attractions without any issue, yet away from the noise of Union Square and Fisherman's Wharf. Don't worry there are plenty of bar and restaurant options nearby including the fantastic Ferrymarket Building. If you like good food this is really is a breath of fresh air. Hotel is not at all cold […] and the small scale certainly lends to a more personal touch; this was evident throughout our week stay. Nice touches included chocs and weather updates left each day and NY party favours and some energy drink to nurse the obligatory hangover. Concierge was always willing to help and his knowledge and opinion did not disappoint. The house bar was very comfy and the measures were certainly generous. The incumbent Americano restaurant has good reviews but we just never got round to trying this one. There are just too many options to choose from. Room quality was excellent. Great bed and wonderful shower; not forgetting the Fresh toiletries. Go for the waterfront view if you can its well worth it! The view of the Ferrymarket Building and The Bay Bridge was a great wake up vista. My regret is not trying the spa; again ran out of time and secondly not bringing my running gear. Great hotel. The staff was wonderful and helpful (especially the concierge) the room is lovely, the bed one of the most comfortable I've ever slept in. I had a wonderful partial view of the bay bridge. The location was great, across the street from the Ferry Market Building with its wonderful shops and restaurants (we had breakfast in a different place […] every day) Don't miss the Farmer's Market on Sat. I can't say enough about this hotel!!! The location is great because you have easy access to everything San Francisco, without having to deal with the high "touristy" areas every night. There are street cars that run right next to hotel which can bring you directly to either Fisherman's Wharf, or the Mission District. The cable cars start 1 block away. […] The Ferry Building is directly across the street, which you can easily get to Sausalito and Vallejo (which is what we did to get to Napa). The hotel staff was extremely courteous and ALWAYS helpful. The conceirges seemed to go out of their way to get even the simplest request for information quickly and accurately. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable (I would highly recommend spending the extra $$$ for the Superior Waterfront View because the view of the Bay and the Bay Bridge is incredible any time of the day, during any weather). Great location. The Pier is across the street and on Sat is filled with fresh fruit and vegatables. You have the trolley in front of this hotel to ride down to Fisherman's Ward. The Bay Bridge is a beautiful sight! The staff are all wonderful and helpful with your stay and sightseeing. We would get fresh coffee and watch the ferries come in across the […] street. Complimentary in-room wireless internet access is nice, but there was a paid upsell to "higher speed" wireless. The in-room wireless was fine for checking and responding to email, but it wouldn't be up to the task of streaming music or video. Still, a nice touch when so many hotels have ala cart offerings. However, bottled water was not complimentary […] and should be. Everything in the room had a price tag, from the bottled water to a book called "Slow Food Guide to San Francisco" and the music CD's set out by the player. Location is very convenient, just over a block to BART/Muni station and next to the waterfront. Bed was reasonable but not quite as comfortable as competitors. Staff was pleasant without being overbearing. I could hear conversations quite clearly from the hall, but those were infrequent and did not notice any noise from adjoining rooms. Towels were wonderful! Bed linens and mattress not quite up to 4 star standards. If I could make improvements, it would be to provide complimentary bottled water in the room and higher quality bed linens. Everything else was as expected in this price range in San Francisco. Had a pleasant three night stay; the location was ideal, equidistant from AT&T park, Union Square, and Pier 39. Just across the street from the Ferry Building and its shops and restaurants (and ferries). Cheek by jowl with the Occupy SF encampment, but that was no issue. Friendly staff. Stylish, not super large rooms. Very quiet.

Here is what I loved about this hotel. Beautiful rooftop access with lounge chairs and garden atmosphere. Overlooking the waterfront across from the Ferry Building, the Bay Bridge was also within our amazing view. very average hotel trying to be stylish. I was "upgraded" to a city view room, which looked out on a major bus/tram stop and construction site, so was very noisy. Throughout the hotel lights were kept at a very dim level, but when you turned them on you could see how dirty the carpets and walls were. The room was clean and quiet; we were in an interior room. I was initially disappointed with the lack of "view", but I quickly changed my mind. I've never slept as well as I did during this 6 day stay and I've stayed in a few other SF hotels. The bed was just to my liking. The roof top terraces were adjacent to our room. Great area to look out over […] the bay and drink hot chocolate after a busy day sight seeing. If you decide to see a baseball game like we did, the ballpark is a 20 min. walk. A safe is provided and it will hold a 15 in laptop,full size camera, and other common electronics. Pier 39 was an easy 20 minute walk away. Most of my stays in SF have been about a week; get a City Pass.It pays for itself if you use the buses, cable cars and F train. These are all 3-4 minutes away. The desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The door men were great; friendly and helpful. Ferry building is across the street. Restaurants in every direction. We've stated at the Hotel Vitale before and will stay again. One feels safe walking in that neighborhood (we walked to a Giants game) and there are closeby restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel's restaurant is very good, and, unlike many other S.F. hotels, the Hotel Vitale is very quiet.

We stayed at Hotel Vitale for four nights. We got a good deal with Expedia, but had to upgrade our room and pay extra on arrival in order to get a decent room. Our original room had old, worn carpeting, banged up furniture and a view of a wall! Not what we expect of a 4-star hotel. The staff didn't wow us in any way and the service in the expensive […] Americano restaurant was slow and impersonal. It is much better to take advantage of the Ferry building across from the hotel and go out for meals there. Over all, the room we did end up in was comfortable, but nothing special. My sister and I took a quick 3-day getaway to San Francisco. I like to stay in the Embarcadero, because it's quieter and cleaner than the Union Square area, while still being within walking distance of everything, though the hotels I had stayed at in the area left something to be desired (tiny rooms, no gym, etc.) Hotel Vitale turned out to be the only […] hotel I researched that had a room with two beds, so we booked it. What a lovely surprise! The hotel is extremely quiet, with a focus on a serene and soothing experience. Our room had real pillows (not those foam slabs) and a beautiful view of the Ferry Terminal and the Bay Bridge. The furniture is comfortable and well-chosen. The building is relatively new, but what it lacks in funk it makes up in function (for instance: the hotel was full, but we could not hear a thing from any adjoining rooms). The decor is spare and natural, with a lot of wood and tile. The lobby is spacious and uncluttered, with low calming lighting -- and no junky brochure racks! The desk staff are helpful and good-natured (though a little vague on a few public transportation details -- a promised free shuttle from the ocean beaches through Golden Gate Park to the de Young turns out to only run on weekends.) This is the second time we stayed at the Vitale and again we have enjoyed it thoroughly. We did end up getting a suite, though really did not need it, given we only slept in the room. Everything was superb, though it is unclear to me why one cannot open windows in a hotel in SF - clearly, air outside is way better than the air conditioned one.

We had a wonderful week long stay and the staff was extremly friendly. The staff greated us at the lobby door on each outing. The room was clean and they even left us a note on one occasion stating they were replacing all the mattresses the following day. We had a very pleasant stay.

This was our first trip to San Fran, and this hotel was ideally situated -- close to transit and walking distance to several key locations such as Fisherman's Wharf. Room was lovely -- accurately shown on the website. Turndown service with chocolates and bottled water was a very nice touch!

GREAT location... amazing view! The staff are super accommodating! This hotel has a bar on the 1st floor accessible to everyone, met some interesting people there. I did not enjoy the whole oriental accent of the place, the colours seem a bit pale to me, and at times cheap. I must admit the highlight of my stay was the king size bed with the most comfortable […] bedding EVER!!! It was like sleeping on the clouds! And there was no lint sticking to my clothes if I sat down (or lied down) in my formal wear on the bed. I've stayed in many hotels in San Francisco. This is by far the best. Not only are the rooms clean and comfortable, but the location is second to none. We stayed came for a special birthday celebration and the staff went above and beyond to make it a memorable stay. Will now be staying here every time I visit SF.

Our room had a nice view of the Ferry Building, Embarcadero, and Bay Bridge. We liked the jellyfish on the elevator monitors. Although the restaurant was very busy in the evenings, the rest of the hotel was very quiet. (The restaurant's breakfast was excellent.) The neighborhood is great with lots of high-quality restaurants within walking distance. […] The decor in the room was very classy with a modern touch with lots of home-like touches (like the throw on the bed and spa products in the bathroom, and a very comfortable bed). The concierge was able to secure reservations for us at an upscale fusion restaurant for a Friday night on short notice, which we really appreciated. Definitely very hospitable. My recent stay at Hotel Vitale was prompted by a great rate on Expedia. Normally this hotel is in the upper dollar per night range and the sale rate was around half. Service was okay, not spectacular, no one was overly eager to assist, more of an afterthought. You've heard the phrase "Don't judge a book by it's cover?" In this case, the cover is beautiful […] but the contents so-so. On the plus side, nice linens and great location convenient to financial district, good restaurants, and waterfront. For the sale price it was worth the stay but wouldn't stay at full rates compared with other area hotels. Mix up with name on registering then receptionist said that she had found our reservation however when we got to the room it was a city view & nor bay view as booked(our paperwork clearly states bay view) Went back to reception who apologised & eventually put us in a side bay view.
