I would not go back to this hotel. I found a Condon in the room. The floor had alot off loud people screaming all night.

It was not the best stay at all... The music of is so loud its ridiculous. We were so annoyed of the noise and didn't even get 10 mins of sleep... Due to that we were really unhappy, and not at all satisfied and also wish to be reimbursed... I didn't book a night to stay up and party... I booked a night for what most people do... Sleep!!! And not only […] did I not get any sleep, I had to search for another hotel at like 2am! Fun huh? I would really appreciate a call and wish that this problem does get solved...and just cause this is a review I won't post my number but do wish you guys email me back with a phone number I can call... Great hotel and service. Only complaint is the lack Of room service! Restaurant was good but would have Been nice to be able to order room service full menu and Healthy choices.

WINDOWS THAT OPEN!!! Can't explain just how important and wonderful that is. I could go on and on about the largeness of the room, the blissfully of that bathtub or the voyeur rainfall shower, the lush lines and colors of the decor, the quick and courteous service... but really, you need to experience it for yourself!

The hotel is very conveniently located but trades on its 'cool' factor. The rooms are decorated in a very modern style but lacks certain basic items that normal hotels would have like a kettle. The beds are super soft and if you stay here for longer than 2 nights you WILL have back ache. One morning of our stay we had to have a cold shower and you will […] need to change your door key at least 5 times a day! For the amount of money that you spend this hotel is not worth it. Otherwise, I would wish we had picked somewhere else. The bed was quite comfortable and I slept very well. However, the room was beyond tiny and done out in blue lights. The "fur" throw and pillow on the bed were gross and stored immediately out of sight. Our room overlooked an enclosed courtyard of an office building next door which shielded us from […] any possible natural light. Our windows were about 15 feet from some board meeting going on and it felt like we were trapped in a sea of florescent lighting. The wall between the shower and the bedroom was all glass - which was fine since I was traveling with my husband, but would have been totally weird and awkward if it were anyone else. (Seriously, you had to close the shower curtain to even have privacy on the toilet!) The side tables lit up blue, which I initially thought was cool. It just got to a point that I craved natural light - something that pretty much every other building in Montreal has been designed to provide . . . except this one. Maybe I've just outgrown the W brand, but unless you're gearing up for a great hibernation, skip this place and go to any of the other fantastic boutique hotels in Montreal. Whatever we saved on the room rate was eaten up in the charges for wifi, parking, and what have you. We had a great time overall in Montreal and this place was serviceable (though not exactly "steps" from anywhere notable; everything was at least a 5 - 10 minute walk) - I'd just pick a different property next time. I remember staying at the W Montreal shortly after it opened in 2004. I was in my 20s and felt like I was at the height of cool; staying in a hotel that was pure magic. Fast forward 7 years of extensive travel experience, and my reaction to the hotel this time around was "meh". The loud music and mood lights couldn't hide sloppy housekeeping and furnishings […] that are obviously getting tired. Our toilet had a ring of black around it. One day we came back to our room to find that housekeeping had left our bathroom trash can on top of the desk in the sleeping area (clearly in a rush). There were enormous scratches on the black lacquered closet and dresser/desk. The air conditioner made an annoying clicking noise (we turned it off). The crowd and ambience of the hotel bars/clubs was not as classy as I remembered it. None of these issues were serious enough to complain about or to make us miserable - we still got a great night's sleep in a very comfy bed, and got a great rate on the room. Our recent stay at the W was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we checked in to the moment we left we received excellent service. The room was gorgeous and very spacious. We we worried about the room being dark as other reviews had mentioned but not at all, we had 3 huge windows with a beautiful view that provided a ton of natural light. It appeared […] that all rooms are on one side of the buildings and all have windows with the same view. The staff were so pleasant and helpful, the concierge is ready and waiting to do anything you need help with. Finally upon departing the valet service brought ou car up put our bags in, brought us chilled bottles of water and even offered to take our old coffee cups to the garbage for us. I was in Montreal for a convention. The W was two blocks from the "convention hotels" but miles ahead of them in quality and value. They were actually overbooked on my first night, but they were so gracious and accommodating that it was no problem to spend one night in the Westin instead. Then they upgraded me to a suite, comped the night at the Westin […] and kept doing little things throughout the rest of my stay that were beyond the service I get anywhere else. I highly recommend this hotel. I was prepared to be a little put off by the attitude some "hip" hotels have --- you know, like they're doing you a favor letting you stay there. Very funky, modern look and feel with excellent service. The room I had was "unique" in that it had a clear view from the office across the street, through the window, through the glass-walled shower, directly into the bathroom. Had to spend the entire trip with the blackout curtains drawn when in the room. Bed was typically great, and by searching […] the wifi connections, was able to find two feeds for guests... one with charges and one that was free. One element that rubbed me the wrong way was the price on the in-room mini-bar, water, etc. I'm not one that normally goes for these expensive conveniences, but at the same time, I get insulted when they are so ludicrously priced. When staying at a property like this, I hate being made to feel like a cheapskate for not wanting to spend five times the value of a product and deciding to instead walk to the store a few blocks away. My youngest son wanted, since we entered in the W on Time Square In NYC, to stay in one of those hotels... He had some tickets for a rock show so we decided to try the W in Mtl....The experience was beyond expectation. Very good staff and a special thanks to the Concierge and the Valets for their help and concerns regarding the return back to the hotel […] by my son and his friend after the show! This is a very beautiful stylish hotel - reminiscent of Manhattan boutique hotels. Moreover my room was spacious and comfortable (unlike many Manahattan hotels!) Unfortunately the service does not live up to the styling: internet access is expensive, the i-pod dock didn't work, there is no in-room coffee (there is free coffee but it is in the lobby), […] the front desk was unable to suggest anywhere for breakfast outside the hotel, despite there being a bakery/cafe and a restaurant just around the corner; my scheduled wake-up call failed to materialize, making me late for a meeting, and the bar/club in the lobby area was quite noisy on weekend nights. It's a W, so that's what you get: Form over Function. Our biggest surprise was with the shower: it connected to the sleeping area with a glass wall, which is probably not to everybody's taste. The showerhead was hanging so high that the droplets were ineffective in removing soap. Pretty but useless. The service was nice when asked but seemed understaffed: […] no concierge in sight, and the one receptionist was answering 5 calls while helping us. They were effective but shorthanded. Every couple should stay at a W hotel and feel the modern edge of an urban hotel visit. I attended a conference in the nearby vicinity and can't wait to return with my husband for our own holiday. The hotel was flexible, service oriented. Great food and great cocktails. Used the very efficient gym with all the essentials and the spa for a much needed […] pedicure. The hotel is a fun place and the rooms a designer's dream. The friendly staff helped to obtain medicine forgotten in our packing. Only small quibble is the sound from the nightclub which was a throbbing bass until 3:00 AM; otherwise hotel is a destination for the young an dbeautiful as well as those just wanting a beautiful room at a superior locat […] ion. We loved the staff and the surroundings. however we found the room a little small and with no view whatsoever. also, the hotel tries to charge exorbitant amounts for every small service, which we found distatsteful and unneccessary. We'd stay there again, but we'd be careful what we booked.

Beautifully decorated contemporary modern look, a whole entarntainment centre in itself, rated four and a half stars but we thought it could easilly be rewarded five stars. The hotel has a great fine cuisine restaurant in the loby, a couple of smaller bar lounges on the main floor and a larger night club style bar and lounge with a dj. spinning at night. […] The place was not just visual pleasure to be in but also a great inspiration for design and decor. A lot of contrast in colours and textures used throughout the whole hotel. I found myself taking notes on decor ideas for our own home (to my husband's amusement). The room wasn't the largest but I found it rather cozy and confortable despite the ultramodern feel. The bathroom was fairly large and very accomodating in terms of products or anything else you could possibly need while away. The room was pristine clean, with a comfortable bed and state of the art TV system; it even had a large desk for the work traveler. First class spa and fittness centre with all the amenities you would expect from a five star hotel. We were shocked to learn that the hotel accepts pets, so we could have brought our dog. Every night we were able to go downstairs, have a couple of drinks in one of the lounges, go for dinner either in the hotel or nearby for a great start to our evening. We plan on staying at this hotel whenever we're in town. Overall a great value for a five star hotel experience; would gladly recommend it to anyone who is a friend. Continua a leggere

The staff at the W Montreal are the most helpful of any hotel I've visited worldwide. They are eager to provide recommendations for activities, restaurants, shopping neighborhoods, tours, whatever you need! Also, after our first night, we requested to change the location of our room, and they took care of it in a timely, no-hassle manner. On the downside, […] the W's Wunderbar stays noisy until 3am and a room near it makes for poor sleeping conditions. Also, our shower was open to the room, which made for chilly showering conditions, even with the ample shower curtain. But overall, still a great hotel. Continua a leggere

My girlfriend and I had a great stay at the W. The beds were (of course) very comfortable, the shower was fun and temperature of the room was easy to control. We did not have a car for our stay, so the fact that the Square-Victoria metro stop was literally across the street was great. The club and restaurant in the hotel were nice, but overpriced. We […] could get anywhere in the city within minutes on the Metro so we never felt the need to have a car. Old Montreal was just a couple blocks away with great restaurants, bike rides, and nightlife. We had nothing planned out when we got to the hotel and all 3 of the concierges we talked to were AMAZING in helping us plan out and making the most of our trip. I would definitely stay here again. This Hotel is centrally located downtown and is directly across the street from the Metro Stop. You are within walking distance to some shops and restaurants but if you venture a little further you can walk to Catherine Street and the bulk of bars,restaurants and stores. The shower was very cool, but if you are staying with anyone that is not an exhibitionist […] or you are shystay elsewhere. Staff was very helpful with directions etc. I would reccomend using valet rather than parking garage. The bars at the Hotel were quite both nights, but the downstairs lobby bar gets transformed into a club after 9Pm on Wed through Sat nights. Complete with velvet ropes and doorman. Loud music and 20-30 year olds partying. If you are staying at the hotel you can get in by showing your room key. The "club" is very small and was crowded the night I was there. Continua a leggere

Not only is the hotel centrally located and within walking distance of most tourist destinations it is within walking distance of the financial district as well for business travelers. The rooms are incredibly comfortable and quiet while all the action is downstairs in one of the bars/lounges or restaurant in house or around the neighborhood. Yo me hospede en el W por la publicidad y lo famoso que se han vueltos estos hoteles ultimamente, pero mi realidad fue otra desde el momento que hice la reservacion; Primero le escribo al hotel que porfavor me coticen y que servicios de translado tenian desde el Aeropuerto al Hotel y su respuesta fue que habian Taxis en el aeropuerto, Autobuses y Trenes, […] que podia usar el que mas se acomodora a mis gastos, mi respuesta fue que gracias por hacer¿me saber que en loa aeropuertos hay taxis, quien se lo hubiese imaginado, y jamas recibi respuesta alguna de ellos sobre este tema. Ordene una botella de Champagne a la hab con algo de picar antes de mi llegada para que al llegar tener ese detalle con mi pareja, al llegar no habia nada y solo recibi excusas y que me iban a recompensar con algo, algo que jamas llego, aparte de malos tratos de su personal. Ellos en el hotel tiene unos bares de moda, en la noche ponen cuerdas y porteros para poder ingresar al hotel, una noche iba entrando y un portero con su mano me empujo en el pecho y me dijo en voz altanera que a donde iba, que asi no podia ir al bar, y le dije no, voy a mi hab y que no me tocara mas nunca y que fuera mas cortes. Otra cosa es que el servicio de comida despues de las 12 de la noche es asueroso literalmente y no con respecto a la comida porque no la llegue a ordenar, si no que solo tienen unas pizzas y un sandwich de queso y quieren cobrarte mas de 30 dolares por eso y apartre todo lo que te manden a la hab tiene un recargo extra de 5 dolares por delivery. Baje y me queje del servicio de comida que el menu era casi inexistente y la muchacha que estaba en el front desk me dijo aqui tiene un menu de un lugar 24 horas llame y pida lo que quiera y me lo lanzo literalmente. Puedo seguir contando muchos detalles mas, pero recuerden que para el W usted es solo un simbolo de $ con patas. Hay mejores opciones a mejor precio y calidad de servicio. tres bon hotel. propre. grande chambre bien situe.seul bemol boite de nuit au rdc un peu bruyante .notre chambre etait au 3e.je le conseille tout de meme
