We loved it. The hotel was exactly what the reviews said it was. When we pulled up there was plywood in the front upper windows and my husband was worried. I told him the reviews said it was under construction on the outside but the rooms were great. We got to our room and it was beautiful and our bed was so comfortable. I am not a late sleeper, but […] it was 9:00 every morning before I woke up. We always used the stairs and even their stairwell was spotless. It was convenient to everything we did and a great price. The pool area was beautiful but the weather was too cool to use it. We didn't eat in the dining room because we wanted to try coffee shops in the area. We had a wonderful stay and was more than satisfied with the hotel! We will stay there again and highly recommend it. Although the room was nice, there is a fan in the vanity area that runs constantly and is very noisy. We asked the front desk about the noise and they said it was working as designed. If this is the case the design is wrong. The only way that you can quiet the noise to close every door in the area and then the bathroom gets so cold that you can hardly […] stand it. We did not want to spend a fortune while visitng Charleston and this hotel, just renovated did the trick. The staff is warm, friendly and incredible. The room renovation that of a 4-4.5 star hotel. Custom cabinetry through the room-also very spacious, two generous queens and a sitting area, and luxurious quality bedding and duvets with an abundance […] of hyper allergenic pillows!! Large flats screen TV, free Wifi, convenient mini refrig. microwave (if you need it). Bathroom transitional in style, shower and tub, nicely done. The hotel has a very nice pool area, and offers a work out room, everything very well maintained. Although in good condition, we we told that the lobby, restaurant area will be renovated next and and a small business center created to print out boarding passes etc. We can only imagine this will be done tastefully as well. Over all, we recommend this hotel, great value, upscale service, welcoming. We usually prefer boutique hotels but would definatley stay here again. Just a 15 min drive into the old city. The surrounding area is not particularly attractive and it would have been nice to really be in Charleston, but the hotel is convenient to the highway and the drive into downtown was only about 10 minutes. Totally enjoyed our three day stay at this beautiful Inn. Our room had the shower separate from the bath tub. Granite countertops in bedroom and bathroom. Ceramic coffee mugs are provided with a great coffee maker. The linens were 5 star hotel quality and the beds were very comfortable. Easy access to car parking and great security. Beautiful pool area, […] but the water was not heated so we did not take advantage of the pool (weather was in the low 70s during our stay). Hotel is right on Savannah Hwy that leads to downtown Charleston in 20 minutes. There is nothing interesting in the surrounding neighborhood of the hotel. We made sure to come back to our room only to sleep. The hotel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and efficient. I think during the remodel they must have put granite on top of existing […] surfaces because the result is that the desk is too high to sit at the chair and comfortably use your computer. The coffee cabinet is too high to see where the fill line is on the Keurig. The bathroom sink required my standing on tiptoes to brush my teeth. Caveat = I am only 5'1". I used the guest laundry and exercise room and enjoyed both. My husband felt the resistance equipment in the gym needed some maintenance. Room was quite spacious. We enjoyed our stay very much. Our very large room had a great bed and bedding, a good sized flat TV, and great bathroom with a huge stall shower.Breakfast was very good with good coffee. It was about 6 miles from the center of Charleston,which was just fine. Good value.

This hotel is WONDERFUL! It doesnt look like much from the outside when you pull in. I was kind of skeptical at first, especially with the location. Enjoyed the 4 nights in Charleston. Room and hotel accommodations were extraordinarily good for motel. Only one issue was that the motel was reluctant to cash American Express Travelers Checks. They were hesitant to cash one, but did so. When I needed a 2nd cashed later the staff refused. They checked with management and nobody seemed to know for sure […] if they should. So they decided not to. I had to proceed to a local bank to get it cashed. Which was inconvenient. However, I asked to speak to the owner or for his name. They said he was unavailable but gave me his name and phone number. I called and left a voicemail. After we left Charleston for Savanna, GA I received a phone call a couple of days later. He apologized for the confusion and said that they should have cashed the travelers check. He was very concerned that I was not happy with that situation and apologized for the confusion. I couldn't understand why the staff didn't contact him personally on my behalf when I asked for his name and number. I also didn't understand why they didn't call him themselves. After searching for a nice place for our honeymoon, I chose the Town and Country Inn based on the nice photos on their website, all the amenities, the convenience to everything, the reviews I read and the amazing price. I thought it was very good find and when we visit Charleston again, we will stay there.

The hotel has been remodeled and some of that work is still underway. The rooms are nicely furnished and very comfortable. We did not try the restaurant during this stay. The hotel is also well located at the end of I-526 and Route 17 - Savannah Highway. We needed to go to downtown Charleston and to James Island and it was very easy to get to both destinations […] from the hotel. We would definitely stay there again on a future visit to Charleston. The hotel is finishing a makeover.. The interior is complete and is very nice. It is 5 miles to downtown Charleston. Morning buffet was good, but not outstanding and was not free. Cannot comment on lunch or dinner as we dined at restaurants in Charleston downtown. Overall a very nice and reasonably priced stay for 3 nights.

Everyone else is right, there are scaffolds on the front of the building while the stucco work is being completed, but that shouldn't discourage anyone from staying there. Our room was LOVELY. The bed and the linens were so very comfy. The bathroom is large and luxurious. We had an Air Bath King Suite and it was very comfortable. All is brand new so feels very clean. Room is a bit small. Outdoor pool is freezing cold and the indoor pool is not being used. Very comfortable beds. Room service was reasonably priced and of acceptable quality.

My wife and I stayed in Charleston fot 2 nights and found this to a Great place to stay. There were a couple of issues with the Wifi, it comes and goes when it pleases and there is a fan in the bathroom that does not go off. They said that all rooms have this fan and it so the air stays fresh. Also it is a nonsmoking hotel, whitch is ok with this smoker. […] But they need to put ashtrays outside so people do not throw butts on the ground. But overall we loved it and would stay again. No one ever came. After I went to someone to find us a waitress, still no one came. Flagged down another waitress and she brought us drinks. Never received our check […] either.
