Very Nice The kitchen was a definite plus and the price so much more affordable than other hotels! We will be back and next time i will use the kitchen facilities

"Great location & service!"
We chose this hotel for our weekend get-away for it's location and because we were looking for a hotel were breakfast was included. Loved it! I can't share the reviews that it was nosy. There are some great Pubs and Bars close-by, but because of the cooler temperatures I guess people stayed inside. Plus: we did not come to Halifax to go to bed at 9:00 […] pm!! I recommend the Lower Deck on the waterfront to start..! Rooms of the hotel were great, lots of space! I LOVED the waffles for breakfast!! This is a reasonably priced large clean suite in the centre of Halifax. Perfect for business and would also be perfect for an extended stay.

"The Downtown Halifax Residence Inn by Marriott"
Our family truly enjoyed our experience at this hotel. The room was more than we were expecting regarding the kitchenette facilities, which were clean and well provisioned with every utensil and dish needed. The complimentary breakfast had good variety and went beyond just toast and coffee. Wish we had booked a longer stay here but we were traveling […] through. "halifax stay"
The hotel was everything we wanted/asked for except no pool. With travelling with kids I stated we need a pool. To our suprise when we arrvied no pool. Therefore overal rating is okay but I would not recommend it to families becasue no pool.
"not what we reserved"
We had reserved a room with 2 single beds as we were travelling with guests. When we arrived at the hotel we were told that not one room in the hotel had 2 single beds. We were told that all the rooms were suites with one queen and one pull out couch. We asked for a cot due to the inconvenience and were told that they do not keep one on site. The […] employee didn't seem to care that we were not satisfied with the way the hotel was booked and was supposed to be garaunteed to us. She just simply kept passing the buck on to the website we had booked with (which is a highly popular site that normally has no misunderstandings like this) and said there was not a thing she could do for us. Not the customer service we were hoping for. I understand that it was the websites error but had she shown some compassion or understanding I'm sure it could've changed our experience for the positve. Continua a leggere
"Great for downtown Fun!"
This hotel was perfect in every way. We were close to everything, and within walking distance of great downtown shopping. The only thing I would say is that it can be a tad noisy because you are in bar and pub terratory...This was fine with myself and 3 friends!

"My hom away from home in Halifax"
Great place to stay in Halifax. Very central and very clean and modern. The rooms are more spacious than most hotels and the morning breakfast is a great service. Staff are great. The whole operation is well done. It has become my home away form home when in Halifax. I don't even consider any other hotel.

So it was a great rate and a good location - my expectations were relatively low but it turned out to be a superb hotel. Excellent staff, room was very clean and had all the amenities. Breakfast was superb (included in the price) and overall was an a great hotel in a great location. The only negatives I could think of: 1. The rental company gave me […] a beast of a car - the Yukon - which did not fit in their underground lot. 2. TV was fine - but I would have preferred a flatscreen. That's it, a place to stay is great but not if there's no place to park. Don't offer "underground parking" if the hotel cannot accommodate all guests...

"Great place if you're staying a while"
Residence Inns are nice because they are roomy and have kitchen facilities. This one also had a very nice breakfast buffet. The staff were wonderful and knew all things local including things to do, directions, and just general travel advice. We stayed 2 nights and our room wasn't cleaned as well as it could have been in between nights. Also, while […] the onsite parking is convenient, it's a little pricey for someone who wants to stay more than one night.
