Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 23 mar 2011L'hotel che recensisco è l'Overlook Lodge, struttura che sostituiva il BearMountain che era in ristrutturazione. L'hotel è in montagna, vera montagna, ed è una specie di megabaita, con bellissima vista su un lago. Io ho trovato ancora la neve, l'hotel da me prenotato come accennato era chiuso per ristrutturazione e quindi veniva offerto l'Overlook Lodge a due passi. Personale gentilissimo, camere immense, finemente arredate, dotate di tutto, da microwave a frigorifero a macchina per caffè. tavola da stiro, ecc. ecc. Colazione in una sala con divani, camino, e vetrata con splendido panorama. Sarei rimasto un altra notte solo per godermelo. L'hotel è in mezzo ai boschi, boschi veri in piena montagna. Però è a 20 minuti dal famoso outlet Woodbury, e la differenza rispetto agli hotel adiacenti all'outlet è che questo hotel costa 4 volte meno. Colazione abbondante, personale squisito. Assolutamente da prendere in considerazione se passate da woodbury e volete pernottare nelle vicinanze

"Great spot to stay"
We stay at this hotel when we visit my husband's family. We have tried a number of others in the area and have landed on this one as our regular place. Reasons? "Convenient, welcoming and clean."
We were welcomed enthusiastically when we arrived. Our room was a suite so we had a kitchen area, table, sofa, as well as the bedroom. The sink is outside of the bathroom. The bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The quality of the towels was average. The sound proofing could be improved. The breakfast was very good with oatmeal, eggs, bacon, waffles, […] fruit (not too ripe), coffee, juices, muffins, etc. I would suggest the the breakfast staff clean the tables and keep up with replenishing more frequently. I had to clean my table with some water and a napkin. The wifi was good - not speedy, but easy to get on and use. "Great overall Stay! Highly suggest!"
It was my first stay here and the amenities were very nice and staff was wonderful...especially Manager, Jill ! We were very comfortable and the breakfast was very nice. "Not the best experience!"
We stayed 1 night at the hotel while attending a funeral in the area. We had a studio suite. I slept on the pull out sofa with one of our kids. The blanket was dirty and the sofa bed was very uncomfortable. The room was in fair condition. It showed signs of heavy use (tiles in bathroom cracked and visible mold and mildew on ceiling and shower walls). […] For the price, I did not see it to be good value or experience. "Pleasant Poughkeepsie Stay"
We stayed for one night and found the room (one bedroom suite) and hotel in decent shape. It's located near a shopping center in Poughkeepsie but far enough away that it was quiet. The exercise room was equipped with 2 treadmills, one elliptical machine, and a set of weights. An indoor pool was next to the exercise room. The complimentary breakfast […] included eggs, which I always appreciate. The suite, which was furnished in a very very standard but comfortable fashion, had two flat screen TVs. The only negatives, and these were minor, were the pullout bed not being super comfortable and the lights above the bathroom sink were intense and reflected between two mirrors that made grooming very challenging. "Simple Suite"
It is right off of route 9 in Poughkeepsie, NY which is great if you know the area, it a little confusing if you don't . The hotel was located near everything., retail and grocery stores, starbucks, and shopping plazas and reteraunts. The suite was nice. Sleep sofa wasn't super comfy, but would have been fine for one person and not the 2 on it. Other […] down side was "Full Kitchen" included everything but the stove (it did have a stove top). It has a billiards room, indoor pool, and exercise room all free for guests. Breakfast was good too. Simple hot breakfast. but was definitly a decision factor for choosing this hotel.
