"Marriott Courtyard at Rome airport"
We had a very good stay here. Arrived mid morning and decided not enough time to do anything meaningful in Rome. Schuttles to airport were 6 euros each way per person. We were given free internet access, which was located in a very comfortable library. The pool was closed for the season, but it was a good place to lay on a chaise and enjoy the nice […] weather. Our room was well sized and clean. We decided to walk into Fulmicino, which was ten minutes away. It is not a real pretty town, but has a riverfront with several food places with outdoor seating. We stopped at a place that we saw people eating calimari served in heavy paper funnels. It was probably the best I have ever had. If you do not have time to go into Rome, Fulmicino is not a bad option, and the Courtyard is a good place to stay Continua a leggere

"Marriott Rome Airport"
We spent very little time in this hotel unfortunately. Very late check in and very early check out. Hotel looked very nice, the room was very nice and comfortable. More modern than the hotels found in old city Rome, similar to Western hotels in North America. Great breakfast in the morning. We had to use their shuttle service from the airport and back […] to the airport. They charge 6 Euros per person per leg. I thought that was a bit too expensive for having people stay in their hotel. The hotel is about 6-7 min drive from the airport. So for a couple it's 24 Euros back and forth from the airport. But this seems to be the norm in Italy. Everything has a high fee because all the tourists are dying to go see their country so they are charging a premium. Continua a leggere
"Rome Near Airport"
Close to Airport - Great staff spoke good English Able to get into room early. Food in Restaurant was great. Had a wonderful dinner.Taxi to Parco Leonardo - large shopping cente, was 13 euros. Could not take hotel shuttle to the airport as I had to leave real early in the morning. Booked a taxi to the airport at a cost of 20 Euros for 3km. A bit outlandish […] compared to my long ride the day before for 13 Euros. This was my only disappointment with the Marriott. They did not want to call the cab I used the day before??? The hotel was very clean and very convenient to the airport. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
"MArriott Courtyard Fiumicino, Italy"
Convenient to the airport and a lovely little town with good restaurants.
"Courtyard Marriott - Rome"
Needed a hotel close to the airport and this was very convenient. The room was spacious, and the pillows and bed were very comfortable. The only problem was with the shower. The water leaked onto the floor and there was no way to stop it. The drain was also stopped up so the water was over our ankles. All in all, it was good value.
"Good location near airport and town of Fiumicino"
I liked this hotel because you could walk into Fiumicino which is a quaint seafaring town. I thought the hotel itself was okay. Seemed clean except for some black mold in grout around tub. Staff was not very helpful. Had to ask 3 people (including concierge) before I could find out if there was a church nearby to attend mass. As in most towns in Italy […] there is a church right in the middle of town. Strange no one knew of it. When I asked for a restaurant referral I was abruptly told, "they're all good". Also long lines checking in and out. I would only recommend this hotel if you have time to spare before flying out and would enjoy seeing Fiumicino. Continua a leggere

the only problem is that the hotel is now charging for the shuttle bus i never encounter that before from any trips the hotel restaurant was half full with tables however u had to wait 45 minutes however the food was excellant and the staff very friendly
"Hotel over rated"
We felt the cost was too high since we had to pay for breakfast (12 euro per person) and bus transportation to and from the airport which was a very short distance. We recently stayed at a 3 star hotel close by for substantially less with breakfast included which I have just recommended to a friend. While they claim a 4 star rating, I belive a 3 star […] is more appropriate. There was nothing special about this hotel. The hotel attracts a great number of airline personnel. We would not recommend or stay at this hotel again. Continua a leggere
"Close to airport"
We landed at Fiumicino. For those looking to get here, go towards the bus signs (not shuttle bus) but to the bus area. The shuttle is in spot 19. The driver was there and took us straight to the hotel without waiting for anybody else. When we arrived, we were told it would be 20 minutes for our room to be ready although it was 9 pm. I kindly asked […] for a free drink at the bar to cover our waiting time and they refused. We waited in the lobby and to their credit, they gave us a room in about 3 minutes. Reasonable room, nice, no issues. Free WIFI in lobby. Shuttle driver on the way back had a horrible attitude, angry because we weren't sure of the terminal. Staff was overall reasonable except the "20 minute" wait that really, he could've just told us a few minutes and to wait in the lobby. Continua a leggere

Convenience is all you get. The beds were uncomfortable, the service pathetic, no ice machine, the shower drain didn't work...all told a disaster.

"A great choice in Fiumicino"
The hotel is very convenient; their shuttle service to downdown Rome and the airport was terrific. Our meal at the hotel was just great, and we would certainly stay here again.
"Do not stay here"
When we got to the airport we called to find out about the shuttle to take to the hotel. We asked if there was a charge and the woman on the phone said no. We later found out that it was 6 euro a person. We questioned this with the women at the desk and they said it was impossible that someone at the desk would say this. We know we asked and they told […] us no. We had NO AIR CONDITIONING. They had maintenance come up, tinker with the air conditioner and then he opened our window. They did nothing to move us to another room. We had a miserable sleep before an early flight back to USA. I will never stay here and the people that work there didn't have customers in mind. We tried multiple times to call the desk for service and the phone would just keep ringing. Continua a leggere
"Last night in Rome"
I recently visited Naples for business, and decided to finish out the week in Rome. The city is beautiful and fun, but my hotel room in the city was hot and the staff was not so good. So I decided to spend my last night in the Marriott at Fiuchimo to get GOOD service. I took the train to the airport, and had trouble finding the shuttle. I just missed […] the 21.00 shuttle, so had to wait for the 22.00 shuttle. Had to pay 6 Euro for the trouble. Tried to take a cab but they wanted 15 Euro, and I wasn't having it. Overall it was a good stay, but I wish the shuttle came more often, was easier to find, and didn't cost 6 Euro. I would stay here again. Directions to the shuttle. Exit the airport on the arrivals (lower) level and go right. Keep walking until you hit a bus bay with numbered spots. Courtyard Marriott's spots are 19/20. They charge the 6 Euro to your room, so don't worry if you don't have it on you. Continua a leggere
"Courtyard by Marriott, Rome Italy Airport"
We selected this hotel as it is so close to the airport (1.7 miles) and a shuttle is offered. What was not stated is that the shuttle costs 6 Euro per person (about $9.00) for a 5 minute ride in a vehicle with no air conditioning. There was no free internet available, even in the common areas. Our bathroom was very dated and had mold in the shower. […] I definitely would not stay at this hotel again. Continua a leggere
"Okay hotel near the airport"
Nice hotel, but not to service minded staff.
The hotel is very close to the airport which was a big bonus. Absolutely nothing around the hotel as far as restaurants or anything, so to eat and drink there was a little pricey. But I will say the food and service was great! I really enjoyed the bar and room. I'd been in Rome and Venice for a week already, so to get here the day before I flew out....the […] hotel felt like a resort. Large and friendly. Pool was open and got service indoors and out. Shuttle cost 6 Euros a person and he took us to the wrong terminal even after informing which one it was, had a long walk, but all in all...would stay again! Continua a leggere
"Marriott should be embarrassed about Rome airport"
Probably worth $50/night. Rooms shoddy, food worse. Haul your bags up an impossibly steep ramp and or steps to elevator. Bored unhelpful staff. No excuse.
"lost at the airport"
The hotel was fine, with the exception of a seriously over priced restaurant. I get that they are targeting business men with expense accounts, but 'way too much' for a cheese burger and 'could buy two 12 cases of coke for the same price' for a can of pepsi is out of control. My main issue of contention however was with the shuttle bus, which you also […] have to pay 'reasonable but prefer free' euro for. I searched for an hour for the shuttle bus, ask so called information people at the airport and still ended up paying 'could drive around my city for an hour' euro for a taxi to take me to the hotel that was 10 minutes away. For a Marriott I was a little disapointed. The shower topper did not work, and there was paint chipping from the ceiling. Food was just OK and prices were high for the area. Also they charge you a six dollar few for transportatin to the airport. A cab is just $10.

"Courtyard by Marriott Rome Airport"
A typical Marriott Courtyard, convenient to the airport. The front desk staff is neither friendly or welcoming. They could definetly use a motivational class on customer service. The rooms are spacious and clean but the mattresses are horrible. Talk about a concrete slab, definetly not typical Marriott quality beds. We had two rooms and they were both […] the same. "Crtyd. by Marriott - convenient to Rome Airport"
This hotel holds great value to N. Americans after paying through the nose throughout Europe using the EURO. The price match is set acurately and you feel like you've gotten your moneys worth. We arrived after an 11 day Mediterrainean cruise around noon. Ater we left our cruise ship in the morning we took the train first class from Civitaveccia, the […] sea port to Ostensia where we connected to the airport under 50 EURO total for my wife and I. We then found the hotel shuttle about 300 meters to the right after you exit at the arrivals level of T3. There was no charge to get to the hotel but there was a nominal fee for the pre scheduled delivery airport drop off. Don't forget to reserve your transport when you check in. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke perfect English. The take and Go beers at 3 Euro from the hotel lobby were perfect for a hot day by the biggest outdoor pool imaginable. We enjoyed the hot weather in and out of the pool. The breakfast buffet was excellent and I was able to take a cappicino to go for the bus. The rooms were large and spacious and the bathrooms were as well and clean. The bed was hard but we were tired from swimnming and the beers as well as walking in the heat, so it didn't make any difference it seemed. The area was very clean and we walked 20 minutes west on the road towards the Ocean. It is a fishing community and great sea food restaurants except mostly locals and they don't eat until after 0900pm. We ended up back at the hotel and the food and service was very friendly and not too expensive. We had. Watch out for bottled water at 10 Euro. To get the A/C to work you have to stick your room card in the slot by the door. They give you a password for the computers in the lobby so you can check your email and/or print out your boarding passes. I would definetly stay there again for a seemless getaway stay. We paid more for less downtown Rome for our first three days but we were steps from all the tourist attractions. So Continua a leggere

Miserable night in this hotel! our A/C made screetching noises all night and didn't work worth a darn. We were only there due to it's location near the airport for one night, but it wasn't the best marriott I've seen....
"Awesome"
Everything here was just perfect waiting for a connecting flight to Spain. The food was incredible, too!! The room was clean and it was only a 15min drive from the airport. Good times!!!
"Courtyard"
Good hotel and comfortable room. Close to airport and has shuttle buses to Rome. Only stayed for one night. Lobby was small and very busy. Service and Hotel staff were great.
"Courtyard By Marriot near airport"
Disorganized front desk. Reminded me when in Italy to stay in Italian Hotels.
"no satisfied."
No shuttle from terminal to hotel after 11pm. Which they failed to mention durring booking. Required to pay for shutlle from hotel to airport 6 euro per person which they failed to mention until arrival. Breakfast was not included nor was an option during booking. Also 12 euro per person for breakfast very expensive. Asked for nonsmoking room which […] at first was not provided then after asking to switch they accomadated us. Continua a leggere
"close to airport but nothing else"
The hotel is close to the airport but nothing else. They have a shuttle to and from the airport at 6 euro per person each way so about $35 for both of us to and from the airport (hardly a deal). Nothing close by but the hotel was ok. The staff spoke English but not well.
"Horrible way to end your trip"
Don't stay here. Pool was not open, TV did not work, restaurant food was disgusting and grossly overpriced for the frozen garbage that we ate. Hotel staff could have cared less that we were unhappy. There was no Manager at the hotel???? What hotel has no manager on one of the busiest weekends of the year? There is nothing to do around the hotel. Worst […] way to end your honeymoon to Italy. I'd rather have slept at the airport. Continua a leggere

"Rome Airport hotel"
For ease and convenience and not caring about ambience this hotel works great. The food in the hotel restaurant was surprisingly excellent.
"Expected more from a Marriott"
OK hotel, but was surprised with the number of things that were not included with out stay. Upon check-in, we found out that breakfast was not included (our rate said nothing about breakfast being included, which is why I guess we didn't get it). The shuttle to the airport is 6 euros per person (this is the 1st Marriott I've seen charge for this). The […] bed was hard as a rock and was the hardest bed I have ever slept on. The room had a balcony that had a couple of chairs on it, but there was really nothing to look at. I could see the airport, a gas station and a canal, but that was about it. The bathroom was one of the largest bathrooms we had while we were in Italy. The location was convenient to the airport, as we were seven minutes away (after a 6 euro per person fee, of course). Taxis to the airport might have been more convenient, but they certainly would not have been cheaper. Taxi drivers like to charge for the number of people AND bags that you have, so it can get expensive. The only reason I would recommend this hotel to others is that it is convenient to stay here if you have to leave on a morning flight the next day. Otherwise, I would definitely stay somewhere in Rome. Continua a leggere
This Hotel was OK not great. The rooms were a little dated . but the food at the bar and resteraunt was pretty good. It is very close to the airport which is why I stayed there, and that worked out very well.
"Courtyard Mariott Rome Airport"
The hotel was not as close to the airport that you can walk. The Shuttle they say they offer is not free. It costs 6.50 euro each way per person. This seems expensive considering how close it is and that it really should just be a free service. I was also surprised they charge 12.00 euro per day to use the WIFI. That was the only hotel in 3 weeks traveling […] Italy that charged for internet. I did refuse to use it because of the fee and they said i could have it free. The food was typical chain hotel quality so not so good with a limited menu and overpriced. There really are not other options around there to eat. The room was large for italy standards and clean. The bathroom was very nice. Continua a leggere

"Marriott Rome airport was terrible"
Few things are essential beyond the room / bed in an airport hotel. This was an insult to the Marriott name. First, is getting to the hotel from the airport. The hotel failed at that: the van service location was not available to the public in virtually any useful form. No local instructions nor a phone number were given at the time of the reservation. […] It took more than 45 minutes to find the van pick up spot!! Second, is internet hook up to confirm reservations for one's ongoing flights. The hotel failed at that. At check in someone should have said, "will you be needing the internet?" No one did. Instructions for use were arcane, and then completely wrong. Three trips to the front desk from the room (each time waiting for help) chewed up another 45 minutes of a too long day. And then there was no operable internet in the room anyhow, although the desk continued to insist all I needed to do was get a new password. I finally insisted on help and was permitted a house computer in the lobby to confirm my bookings. Third, we went into the (empty, but good) restaurant for dinner. Sat down, got a menu, and another man walked in. He got a lot of attention from the entire staff while we waited about 30 minutes. I conjectured to my wife he was either a mafia don or the owner of the hotel (he was). Finally, I got up and requested someone take our order. A waiter came round. She then got another one. He took our order. A party of 7 Asians came in. The waiters went to their table immediately, took their order, and we waited for ours to arrive. By now the owner had has wine, had eaten his main course, and then the Asian party was served, eating and jocular. An hour had passed. I called the waiters over and told them this was unbelievable. They apologized and said "the Chinese had ordered their dinner in advance." We had hoped to go to bed early to catch a 5:50am shuttle back to the airport. We had entered the restaurant around 7, and were done at 10:15 or so. If we were blac Continua a leggere

"Marriott Courtyard Rome Airport"
While the hotel accomodations were adequate, most of the staff at this particular hotel (and I stayed there at the beginning of our trip as well as the end) were so rude and unhelpful that I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone. If you are in need of nice, friendly, "courteous" employees who can help you when checking in late at night, tired with […] a lot of luggage, need help finding an ATM machine, and returning a car, this is NOT the hotel for you. While checking in, these same rude employees were even arguing in plain sight with uniformed airline pilots who were trying to check out. Unbelievable! Room was comfy. Pay TV for movies was not working. The restaurant and bar were a nice surprise. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional--very high end. A bit on the pricey side for a Marriott Courtyard, but one of the best meals we had in 2 weeks in Europe. Took a cab for the same 12 Euros it would have cost on the shuttle bus.
