Albergo bellissimo nel centro di Monaco di Baviera, situato a pochi passi dalla Stazione Centrale. La cura dei particolari si denota sin dall'ingresso, con una curata musica lounge di sottofondo ed una profumazione molto intensa e piacevole negli spazi comuni. Camere di design, comode e spaziose, accessoriate di tutto, ivi comprese presa per l'ipod […] e macchina caffè nespresso. Bagno con vasca e doccia, e ottimi prodotti Hermes per la cura del corpo. Splendida la SPA con piscina illuminata ad effetto e con una serie di cascatine ed idromassaggi disseminati per il percorso. Voto molto ma molto positivo. Peccato che il quartiere intorno non sia il massimo, anzi è forse il meno visitabile di tutta monaco di baviera. Continua a leggere

Il soggiorno è stato magnifico. Hotel all'altezza delle aspettative. Un 5 stelle lusso che non si smentisce. Le camere sono spaziose, arredate in modo moderno e tecnologico (TV LCD, impianto BOSE a cui è possibile attacare iPos, macchinetta Espresso, bollitore per l'acqua, bottiglie di acqua minerale comprese nella stanza, ecc.). Bagno moderno funzionale […] e completo di tutto (prodotti per toilette di marca, accappatoio, ciabattine, ecc.)...e la nostra era la camera "base". SPA molto molto gradevole e funzionale (piscina riscaldata, sauna, bagno turco, ecc), soprattutto d'inverno! Unico neo, ma non imputabile all'albergo in se, è la posizione. E' vero che si trova a 50 mt dalla stazione principale (quindi comodissimo se si arriva a Monaco in treno o dall'aeroporto) ma la zona in se non è il massimo. Non c'è molto da vedere ed ho avuto l'impressione che, di notte, non sia proprio il massimo in fatto di sicurezza (anche se non abbiamo mai avuto il minimo problema in questo senso). very nice room and so convenient by the central train station

Location is excellent and just 2 minutes walk to the Central Station.The room is too dark even i switched on all lights. The receiption service is quick and prolite. It was not easy to connect the free Wi-fi service, normally I tried few times to connect it.

Beautiful hotel but shocking price for breakfast. No turndown service which is unusual for 5 star. Food quality was excellent.

The hotel is only steps away from the train station but also within walking distance site-seeing, food, and shopping. The breakfast is the best, although spendy.

Stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel in the central area of Munich. It was easy to find, had a lovely staff and the rooms were very nice. Definitely had a "business vibe" however we felt right at home as well on our vacation. The bar was nice and rooms were modern and well kept. Overall a great experience at this hotel.

Alle expectations fulfilled in our three days stay in February 2012; Staff, rooms, bar, spa,swimming pool, breakfast, design of the building and the placing close to the train station. All just perfect.

Awesome hotel, great location, will book again next time I am in Munich

Fantastic hotel, the quality and service was second to none. The rooms were amazing with quality finishes. The only criticism I have is the surrounding areas are a little rough, although that does not take anything away from this stunning hotel.

The Sofitel in Munich was a lovely retreat for for my daughter and I visiting from Australia for two days over Christmas. Although on the doorstep of the central railway station there was no distractions and we had a very relaxing stay in this modern and very well appointed hotel. What a beautiful hotel. Walking distance from train station. Walking distance to Oktoberfest and old town. Staff was very personable and helpful. We had requested a non-smoking room. When we returned one evening after a long day of sightseeing, our bedding had been turned down but the staff had left an old rag and a pack of cigarettes on the chair. […] We complained to the front desk and they had housekeeping respond immediately and were very apologetic. They gave us coupons for a free glass of champagne in the bar for each of us. The on-site restaurant was very good with a wide selection of foods to choose from. The concierge service was excellent. He was able to get us tickets for a table inside one of the venues at Oktoberfest. We had a blast. He also made recommendations for sightseeing around Munich which we took advantage of. Overall we had a great time at this hotel (although it was expensive) and would highly recommend it to others. Continua a leggere

This hotel tries very hard to be 5 star. In some ways it is as the staff are very helpful. But it's a bit like someone has designed the hotel with experiencing it themselves. Some things we found a bit annoying were: There was only 1 English TV channel. Whilst this makes us sound a bit ignorant, there were moments on our trip when we wanted down-time, […] and the only channel we could understand was BBC News. Also the films were very expensive at €10 each. We found the lights in the hotel room a bit irritating as they were quite dim which meant trying to see your reflection in the mirror to get ready was hard. Also they have this thing where if you want the lights in the room on, you have to insert you room card key which again was annoying as we had to take the card out to go to bed so all the lights went off, but if you got up in the night for the loo you were in a bit of trouble as you couldn't see anything! Also the lights in the foyer were very dim as well which was a bit straining on the eyes. In the foyer there is also a very very strong smell - it's a nice popouri smell, but just far too overwhelming. In the spa, we were really disappointed that there was not whirlpool/jacuzzi apart from a small section of the main swimming pool. Also the water in the pool was only luke warm and we had been looking forward to a nice hot relaxing spa. In the spa, there is a relaxation area, but the seats are really not that comfortable. Normally at 5 star hotels, you have a kind of bed that you can lie on and drft away, but these chairs were bolt up right, so not very easy to relax on. Our room had a great view over the main station, but there wasn't a bath in our room - shower only, so this was a bit disappointing. Also breakfast wasn't included in our room rate. If we had wanted it, it would have been an extra €30 per person which which seems very expensive. Also any in-room service such as the mini bar was very expensive too. Continua a leggere

very clean, modern hotel. it's right by the main train station and is walking distance to everywhere. the room was very nice. the bathroom is seperated by frosted glass from the bedroom. all walls and doors of the bathroom are frosted glass. it was very nice but if you want some privacy it may bother you a little.

The only problem was the Internet access. The hotel has both free and paid plans but in many rooms the singnal strength is very low making it unreliable. The paid gives you more bandwidth capacity but does not fix the dropping. And after every drop you have to re-enter a form full of info, like ZIP and birthdate. This was a beautiful hotel and I enjoyed myself here. I did not get a chance to experience their spa as it was closed while I was staying. The hotel was super convient to the train staion whice was nice. The only complaint I had was teh internet. Although I appreciated the free internet it was to slow to even stream a video. Recently stayed there for three nights. Hotel is beautiful and located next to train station. Room was clean. However, service was very poor:1) one of my bags was missing - not brought to room (I had to go and search and find it in their storage room), 2) concierge service was poor in quality and not attentive (difficulty in getting dinner reservations […] and interfacing with taxi service, restaurants that they recommended both nights were poor in quality). In addition, the shower stall in room has not curtain or door (water would spray all over the floor and became a slip hazard). Not what I expected. Would not recommend to others. Continua a leggere

A very good hotel. We were very pleased with the help and assistance that we received from the hotel staff in all areas of the hotel. Great little bar in the hotel. Room was good but a little tight. But thats Europe. Very good location, however you may need to avoid a couple of the streets to the south of the hotel. They are a bit seedy. everything are fine, except house keeping service. only tidy and clean up as routine items, never bother to change the used plates or bowls. at the reception counters, there are some nice people and also some 'lousy' service provider.

We've got a very good rate from hotels.com for a jr suite which was beautifully and modernly decorated and equiped and comfortable. The location of the hotel is right besides the train station and subway which made it very easy to commute plus both of the tours we've taken had their meeting points in or near the train station. The hotel is 10 minutes […] walk from the main shopping street. We just had a minor incident ordering breakfast in the room where we have placed our order card out the previous evening but we did not get our breakfast the next morning even though the card was taken. Splendid hotel!

My husband and I stayed at Sofitel a coulple of years ago during our honeymoon, and I always wanted to come back because I loved the pool/sauna/steamroom. Other great features are the luxurious beds, Nespresso coffee maker in your room, Hermes toiletries, slippers (to take with you!) and plush bathrobes. The decor is very contemporary and hip. The only […] downside, was that it was difficult to figure out how to turn on/off the lights in the room. Breakfast was not included, and we did not partake as it was quite pricey, although this is typical for 5 star hotels in Europe in general. We didn't miss it, since there are so many great cafes/bakeries right n the neighborhood. It is right across the street from the Hauptbahnhof/Central train station and super convenient to access the airport. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone! Continua a leggere

This was one of the best city breaks I have ever experienced, and Sofitel was a big part of this. It is elegant and calm, but with an air of efficiency and purpose. The staff were EXCEPTIONAL. Extremely friendly and happy to speak English for our convenience. The rooms are very modern with espresso machines, Bose iPod speakers, rain-showers etc.. Great hotel, good location next to train station about a ten minute walk to centre. Really comfortable hotel.

After a day's train travel it was so easy to find our hotel - just a step away from the train station. The hotel room was very comfortable and quiet which was just what we wanted! Excellent service from both reception and guest services who held our bags after checkout until our pickup service arrived! We stayed 6 days at this Hotel and found everything to be Perfect! The Hotel is located directly next store to the train station so you can get to about anywhere in the city without trouble and is only a few minutes walk to the old city and town attractions. The hotel is also first class, the staff and rooms were extremely nice with all the amenities […] and there is a great breakfast buffet in the morning. We traveled by train and the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost is right next to the train station and an easy walk with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very modern and a pleasure to visit. The location was a short walk to all public forms of transportation and within walking distance to the main old town area where all the action was. Would definitely stay […] here again! It is SO annoying to be nickel and dimed at 5-star hotels that don't provide the same basic free internet service one can enjoy at a local coffee shop!

Beautifully modern hotel with great spa pool and saunas. Rooms have heated bath floor with TV that turns so you can watch in bed or the tub. Comfortable beds with room amenities that are so updated that we could not figure out how to turn on the coffee pot. Only complaints were ridiculously expensive internet that wasn't even wireless. The hotel's location […] was near all the other nice hotels...but being near the train station wasn't really the nicest part of town nor did it give you the best views from your room.
