Generally when I stay at a hotel, even if it is lacking I don't post anything more than a neutral review; this hotel stay will not be let off so easy. I am very forgiving, especially to lower cost hotels. When I arrived and received my keys after 20 attempts on the access door to my part of the building, I returned to the front desk. "Oh yeah that door […] is really touchy... I will give you new keys anyhow" (This series of events happend at least three times during a two night stay) The room, once I finally gained access to it, was dindgy with stains in various locations, faulty sink drain stop, and a shower rod that looked as if it would fall out of place at any moment. From what I experienced, there was only two positives about the room. First of all, I was able to open the window which was right next to the parking lot and load all my stuff in and out of my room by means of the window instead of making trips through the "touchy" front door. The second noteworthy aspect of the room was the large refrigerator. That seemed to be the only thing in the whole place that was of a newer nature. As I said before, I am usually not picky about hotels, but I don't see myself staying here again. Continua a leggere

Access on/off I5 was very easy, the room was nice and clean, and the desk clerk that checked me in was VERY helpful.

Lobby had an odor but rooms where decent. Tvs need to be upgraded and more channels to choose from.

Never ever again. Fresh blood on sheets. No towels in room. TV had very poor picture quality. Smelled like it had been smoked in even though it is a non smoking room.

We stayed two nights at this hotel and found it to have all the amenities, including a hot tub, steam room, and sauna. They also accept pets which is a must for us. It was clean, reasonably priced, and conveniently located close to restaurants, shopping, the freeway, hospitals, and anything else one might need.

I have stayed at this hotel annually for five consecutive days, over the last ten years. Last year I experienced a very noisy upstairs neighbor..loud thumping and loud music late into the night. I called the front desk and the clerk told me she wou,d contact them immediately. I knew she had when the music got louder and the increased persistency in […] the thumping on the floor. I called the manager back asking if she could move them. she said she could move me but not them. On my most recent stay, the outside trash receptacles were overflowing on my arrival, and it was not unti, two days later when I asked the clerk to empty them that they were taken care of. There were guests there who I think were temporarily living there. Their kids ran all over the hallway at all hours of the night. they had a dog odd lead that actually barged into our room at 6:00 am as I walked out. I learned earlier not to complain, so I just took it this trip. The employees are wonderful and they do their best, but it appears the financial resources are limited. For next year, I will inquire about these concerns before booking. I will give it one more try, unless I find another property with a comparable rate. rooms were immaculate, spacious, and the room service was excellent! Continua a leggere

My biggest problem was the bed was very uncomfortable, I needed a good nights sleep after driving all day and was very disappointed. I also did not expect much from a free breakfast but of was very poor as well. I will not be returning in the future.

Hotel needs to be painted, rugged and new window coverings. The hotel has a very, very stale odor. The continental breakfast was okay but no bread to toast. Don't expect shampoos, conditioner or lotion.

Pool, sauna, steam room were border-line pathetic and filthy. Breakfast was a joke, the boiled eggs looked and tasted days old. I ate breakfast at 730 and it was already pretty well picked through. The hotel looked much older than its actual age. I will not stay there again. I will say the bed was very comfortable.

It was not a bad stay, but the beds need to be replaced and though they say highspeed internet in every room, we could not get the internet even though I reported it twice. The room was clean, continental breakfast average. Courteous clerks. Rates were good.

I've been staying at the Shilo Inn for over 5 years whenever I come down to visit my Dad in Salmon Creek. I have never had a bad experience or been disappointed in my room. There are lots of places to eat within walking distance and a gas station close by. It is right off the freeway, easy to find. Overall, average and good for the price. Bed Jiggle Test, our most important test, below average. FAILED. When she flips over, whole bed jiggles, and I wake up. Breakfast marginal.

We had a great time! My daughter loved the pool and the staff were very polite and patient with her. The room was nice and the black out curtains worked well. Overall, I'd stay there again next time I visit Portland.

The room was very nice. We had two queen beds, a refrigerator, microwave, tv and lots of space. The pool was nice but unfortunately the hot tub was not heating correctly. The water was warm but not hot. That actually worked out fine because we had just come from a hot day at the fair and did not need 104 degree water this night. They need to schedule […] more workers. We checked in after 10:00 pm and there was only one employee working and she had to leave the front desk to help other guests. We had about a 15 minute wait before she came back to check us in. We needed something on the way to a funeral and found this right off of I-5. It was quiet and then the next morning we found a PEETS coffee (the very best) right across the street.

Housekeeping can only do so much. They need new carpets. The carpets make the place smell musty. It was very unpleasant.

We arrived very late at night, but the clerk went out of her way to speed up the check in procedure. We showed up at 1030 at night and were able to enjoy the hot tub before it closed at 11.

Right along side the freeway. Desk clerk said walls are thick so you won't hear a thing. Not so!!! Floor above the room was a gym for the people above us. Floor squeaked.

The room was nice. A little loud at times, but nothing too bad. The doors need to be looked at in cleaning though. The bathroom door had a white smeared hand print on the outside and greasy prints on the inside. Some fruit would be nice for breakfast also. Otherwise it was a good stay! Very nice staff! Would stay there again for sure.

Big roon is very comfortable. But the breakfast room is too small for so many guests.

Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a fancy place, this is not for you. If you want a place to crash that is decent and nothing exciting at all, then this might be the place. It is a typical highway side hotel. Front desk was very friendly and attentive to needs such as soap, shampoo, and TP and responded well. […] Halls has a musky smell which for the NW is not surprising given all the moisture tracked in to the carpet. The hotel was very nice. Our room was stuffy when we first arrived about 11:30pm, but I opened up the window for a bit and aired it out, then slept with the AC on low. It was pleasant. The beds were super comfortable, and we slept sound which was awesome!!! We slept throught the breakfast so I don't know how that was ;) I would recommend.

courtesy sucks Front desk staff took a phone call while they were waiting on me, I hate that! It is like somebody took cuts in front of me. They only put three towels in the room

Stay was ok until we got up in the morning and my wife was getting ready and found out that the outlet in the bathroom area did not work. We called the front desk and told them that we need someone to check it and they said the would put a note in for Maintance. We never saw anyone and we had to call back for to have a hair dryer sent up that we could […] use on a different outlet in the room. front Desk said they would send one and again we never saw anyone. Pros: Excellent location Friendly staff Comfortable room Cons: Limited breakfast selection Unreliable WiFi connection Weak showerheads Despite the cons I would easily recommend this hotel to someone and when I visit the area again I will definitely consider staying here again.

tv's from the 1980's hit down on the remote and goes down the first time then goes up the 2nd so 2 channels back and fourth. stayed 2 nights nobody cleaned our room. hot tub was broken. stains on the curtains. had to push the door or it would have not automatically lock. was ok but i expected more.

The hotel was clean and the location great, however, the little issues began to pile up...a burnt out light above the desk, a VERY creaky bathroom door, running in the halls above during the night, 3 bath towels, one hand towel and two wash cloths, for a family of four people, hot tub timer was broken, "full breakfast" was more continental than full. […] We had a great time on our trip, but the hotel was disappointing in these "little things." PROS Very nice hotel in a convenient location to I-5 and 205. The room was nicely updated and roomy. Friendly staff. Nice indoor pool and jacuzzi. CONS Very poor wireless internet signal. I was continually kicked off and had to reload the network. Only one ice machine which was on the otherside of the hotel so we had to walk through a series of halls […] and doors to get our ice. We didn't have this issue however, if you have difficulty with stairs, there is not an elevator to take you to the second story. Continua a leggere

I received bug bites all over my body and reported this to front desk and they seemed unconcerned. I am very upset to this day. When I pulled the mattress out from the wall all I saw was filthy floors that is not vacuumed at all.

This hotel was great for our family. Only stayed one night, but had a great experience while there. Clean comfortable room. The staff at the front desk was great and super helpful. They put us in a room on the first floor, near the pool without even having to request it!
