L'hotel si presenta molto bene, personale gentile (ma non molto sorridente - siamo troppo a nord). La colazione è sempre degna di nota nella catena Best Western, la consiglio a tutti anche per l'attenziona a mantenere alti gli standard. Insomma, hotel carino, vicino al centro, letti comodi, camere ampie, colazione super, cosa volete di più?...è anche economico!!! Buon viaggio!!!

Breve guida di Josefov
Il quartiere ebraico di Praga ha vissuto secoli di oppressione e sofferenza prima dell'invasione nazista durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale. Gli insalubri edifici del ghetto, ammassati gli uni agli altri, furono perlopiù distrutti negli anni Novanta dell'Ottocento, ma il Vecchio Cimitero Ebraico e diverse sinagoghe d'atmosfera sopravvissero. La migliore è la Sinagoga Vecchionuova, che risale al 1270 circa.

Albergo in ottima posizione per visitare la città, praticamente alle spalle della piazza principale. Ottima accoglienza con personale che a volte parla anche italiano. Hotel decoroso. Il classico senza lode e senza infamia. Camere spaziose il giusto (unica pecca la moquette). They gave us the wheelchair access room in the end, which was a bit better but directly off the bar so had a smell of smoke. The hairdryer in the bathroom was broken. Staff not particularly helpful. The Astoria is a good place to stay. Helpful staff and an unbeatable location make it a winner. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is really good so plan on trying that. The feature that sets the Astoria apart is the superb location which is within convenient walking distance of most sights. To be fair, there are some problems. Breakfast was good, location of the hotel is great. We were put into smoking room insteead of non smoking. We were offered the option to move, but we preffered the view in the room we were in. The hotel took what could have been a disaster and turned it into a positive. when we first arrived they were overlooked due to a leaking pipe in one of the rooms. To make up for it, they sent us to their nearby sister hotel the metropul. They gave us a driver to the other hotel and back thwarting next day one the problem wither the room was resolved. I loved the room. It was all I needed. Hotel was clean. Great breakfast. Staff was very courteous and friendly. Very close to the 'Old Town' Square without the noise of all the tourists. "AC did not work very well"
Hotel location was great. Overall we would recommend this hotel. However, the air conditioner did not work very well. Air came out but it was not sufficient to cool down the room. It work more like a fan and not an AC. We had to open all the windows at night to make it cool enough for us to sleep. When we inquired about the AC we were not able to get […] an answer. The lobby of the hotel was nice and cool. Thus the AC seemed to work. Maybe it was just our room. Got a upgraded room, instead of the standard one booked. At least we were told that, but didnt see too much of a difference, except one, which was worth it... the view!! Were on the 8th floor with a great view into 'all' of Prague! Service was overall good (small hiccups with the internet connection daily), but at the restaurant they were very prompt. […] Room and other stuff was pretty much all in place! Excellent location to be at - not bang in the centre which can be too busy, but just rightly placed with a 2 - 3 minute walk to the centre! Booked Prague Airport Taxis. Excellent service 450 cx one way. Walking distance to almost everything: old town square, Josefov, Municipal House, restaurants and shopping, etc. Felt very safe walking around the area both night and day. "Avoid it at any cost"
There is construction right next to the hotel that I was told will not end until beginning of 2013. They start at 8 am even on saturdays !! I look from my window and the construction guys are looking back practically 5 meters away from my window. Horrible experince.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com
