Hotel Orly Monaco

Ciao a tutti, ho soggiornato in questo Hotel dal 17 al 20 dicembre con la mia ragazza. Devo dire che mi sono trovato bene, l'Hotel ha una buona posizione, 5 minuti c'e' la metro, e' pulito e comodo. La colazione e' stata ricca c'era di tutto dal dolce al salato... unica pecca e' la connessione wifi che come già avevo letto nelle altre recensioni e' […] scadente, il segnale al quinto piano dove era situata la nostra camera era insufficiente. Per poter collegarci ogni volta siamo stati costretti a scendere nella hall dell'Hotel. Alla fine però e' sempre un discorso di rapporto prezzo qualità noi abbiamo speso per tre notti con colazione compresa 150 euro...quindi direi pienamente soddisfatto!!! Continua a leggere

L'albergo tutto sommato mi è piaciuto molto. Certe recensioni narrano che la linea WiFi non era all'altezza, ma, io, mi sono trovato benissimo... La camera era un po' di vecchio stile mah... non mi faccio tutti questi problemi. Alla fine se volevo qualcosa di molto + particolare andavo in un 4 stelle.. Sono contento.

Good hotel!!

I would recommend this hotel to people traveling on budget. It's a convenient, but not a nice looking hotel. Pro's: Breakfast was excellent, great variety and fresh, it even included fresh squeezed orange juice among other nice things. Location is good, and parking spot was available free. However please not that parking is not guaranteed (FCFS). You […] can get tea in the evening for 50 cents a cup. Con's: Interior needs renovation, the rooms are not big enough, clean in general, but dusty under beds. The view out of the window was on a big construction site. They advertize a safe box in the room description, but in reality there was none in the room, there is only one general safe box, which is not big. My laptop case didn't fit, so I had to put my laptop without the case in there. Both pro and con: When something broke in the bathroom in the evening (sliding door in the shower came off the rail), a manager came immediately, but they fixed it only next morning. we had a 5 night stay in munich to meet up with family and to experience xmas markets. we booked the hotel as it seemed very good value for money and we knew it was a little bit out of town centre. in fact it is only 2 stops on the u bahn which was no problem at all. the district near the hotel was residential and very safe with a few bars and restaurants. […] we would certainly stay here again if we come back to munich. value for price was excellent. But there was no hot water. I should have asked to fix it. but too tired for Hof B. apologized when check-out. Smell bad when entering the room first (air freshener). Breakfast was very good. Apartment area but found a parking lot for we visited there on year end season (maybe).

This hotel was in a great location and was a great deal.

Clean, comfortable. Large room. Wifi. Great breakfast. A bit of a walk from the U-bahn station with luggage but still possible.

PROS: The room was clean and bed was comfortable, it's close to the U-Bahn station MaillingerStrasse (about 7 minutes walk), which is only 2 stops away from Central Station. We were very impressed with reception. They spoke great English and were really helpful. Breakfast was good, plenty of space in the 2 breakfast rooms. If anything has run out, just ask them and they'll bring some more. Orly is in a really nice quiet neighbourhood with a short walk to the 16/17 tram which takes you to many of the key locations (less […] than 5 mins) or the subway (c10 mins). The rooms are small and need an overhaul but the breakfast buffet is excellent!

While the stay wasn't too bad the hotel is a little overrated. The breakfast was nice, a good selection on offer. One morning we had to wait for the hot food as they only replaced things when it was pointed out. The staff seem less than impressed at having to be there. The rooms while comfy enough were a little dusty. Our bathroom wasn't serviced one […] morning. The TV is tiny and only 3 english channels. No air con which would make your stay uncomfortable in Summer. There is no safe in your room either. While the receptionist offered to look after your things - she meant in a pigeon hole behind her totally unsecure if she walked away. The wireless internet didn't work either. Quite a few room features advertised just aren't there. You aren't as close to town as preferred but once you find the U-Bahn it's only a few stops. This hotel had very limited free parking - in fact, there were only 6 spaces . None of the cars in those spaces moved during our 3 day stay. We were on the 3rd floor and the elevator held 4 people or 1 person and their luggage. Our room had 4 single beds. Fortunately there were 3 of us using the room so we were able to put our luggage on the 4th bed. […] If there were 4 of us it would have been way too cramped. The bathroom was small and there were no hooks or places to hang anything (pajamas, toilet article kit...). There was a small balcony overlooking the 6 space parking lot but no furniture on it. As in many European hotels, the Orly did not have air conditioning. There was no safe in the room and we were only given one key but were told that the front desk is manned 24 hours a day and we could leave the key there for each other to use. The breakfast, which was included, was nice. The location is in a lovely neighborhood and convenient to the underground. In our 14 night trip throughout Europe, this was the most expensive hotel and probably our least favorite! Continua a leggere

We drove to Munich (we live in Germany) so a hotel where we could avoid the crazy city traffic was one of our priorities. The hotel does offer free parking, but only has about 10 European-size spots. There is a parking garage nearby as well, but we lucked out and got a spot at the hotel. The room was small and looked slightly dated, but was fine since […] we were only there to sleep. The bathroom was also tiny but the shower had good water pressure - plus we didn't have to share. Breakfast was included and was good - slices of cheese and cold cuts, eggs, bacon, cereal, yogurt, etc. Another plus (for us) was that dogs stayed free and the staff was very friendly towards our pup. The only real negative was the elevator (we were on the 5th floor), which had enough space to squeeze in maybe three people (me, my husband, our dog, and suitcase fit, but I was squished into the corner). We really only ended up using it to take our suitcase and used the stairs the rest of the time. It didn't look like the hotel had air conditioning, but it was cool enough that we didn't need it anyway. Our room had a balcony where the door doubled as a window, so we just kept that open and were fine. The hotel is in a nice little neighborhood just a few blocks away from a subway stop. The key card actually has a map of the U-Bahn on the back, which came in handy. There are a couple of bakeries (the coffee at the one with all the marmalade is amazing), and a few restaurants that looked good. The Lowenbrau Biergarten (beautiful and good if you want to avoid the more touristy Hofbrauhaus) is about a 10-15 minute walk away. There was also a cute little cafe (Feinkost Elisabeth Leibspeis) on Nymphenburger Stasse with some amazing food I spotted on our way to the subway where we got a delicious and cheap lunch. There is only one outlet in the room and it is used for hairdryer. No time for charge up all devices.

For the price of Orly, it was more than adequate. Europe is VERY expensive, now, for Americans. The location, near the U & tram stop, made getting there from the main train station in Munich, very easy. There are several very good restaurants, nearby, the Indian one was excellent. The hotel DAY staff was friendly & very helpful (there was a grumpy man […] on the desk at night, we just avoided him!). Breakfast was great, the location was VERY quiet, the rooms are small, but we managed. The only problem we had was, the halls are noisy when other guests come & go, so request a room at the end of the hall. The hotel was not too bad really. The room was fine and the breakfast fine but the reception staff were the worst I have ever met. The reception is unbelievable Downright rude, unhelpful, unfriendly, and a lot of other adjectives besides! I thought it was candid camera and I was waiting for the laugh!! I think all 3 people I met in reception on different […] days were related--maybe father,mother,daughter??. They were certainly cut from the same cloth. ! I would feel sorry for the room and breakfast staff under that sort of athmosphere. Also this hotel claims to have free parking. It does, but only 7 cars will fit in the carpark. The hotel was clean and comfortable; staff helpful, but location to heart of city was poor.

Very quiet location, residential neighborhood. Only about two blocks from subway station, making travel easy. Rooms basic but acceptable. Breakfast a bit of a waste.

Nothing at all wrong with this place. Tidy and clean. For the money a good experience.

Hotel is an average three star hotel. Staff does everything necessary, but is not overly friendly. The price is about par for expensive Munich. The two things special about the Orly are: (1) the very good buffet breakfast included in the room price, and (2) the location: an eight minute walk to an U-Bahn (subway) station that is only two stops away […] from the main railway station hub. The Hotel Orly in Munich was functional and good value, just a short walk from the Mailingerstrasse stop on the U1 line. The breakfast bar was plentiful, with lots of hot and cold choices, including eggs, breads, cereals and juices -- plus lots of Germany breakfast favorites. Our family of 4 stayed in quadruple room in hotel Orly in August of 2009. Room was tiny (with 4 beds there was not enough floor space to open 2 bags), dusty and didn't look like the photos on the web-site at all. Probably, their doubles are better, I don't know. Breakfast is very good though. Neigbourhood is nice and it's 2 stops from main train station. […] So, overall, consider it only if you are on very tight budget, and need only a double room. Clean, comfortable and convenient to the location of a family member living in Munich. Simple functional accommodation which satisfied our needs. Quiet at night. A good but not excessive walk to the centre of Munich. Excellent accessability to the Mittlerer Ring. Good nearby restaurants.

Hotelli oli remontissa, mikä vähän yllätti, ja minkä vuoksi sen oma ravintola oli myös poissa käytöstä. Sieltä löytyi kiva sauna. Aamiainen oli runsas ja monipuolinen, mm. tuorepuristettua appelsiinimehua. Sijainti oli hyvä, ja parkkeeraus edullista. Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä. Estando en remodelación es logico que hay inconvenientes, pero en general es muy bueno

Месторасположение отеля - выгодное, недалеко метро. Парковка на улице, оплата через паркомат - неудобно. В коридорах помещения пахнет уксусом. В ванной комнате в номере каждый день были замечены мокрицы (типа сороконожек) - очень неприятно. Завтрак - на троечку, но соковыжималка оставляет желать лучшего. Больше не остановимся.

Olemme käyttäneet usein Hotels.com-hotelleja. Nyt olimme pettyneitä. Luokituksen (kolme tähteä) ja aiempien kokemusten perusteella odotimme parempaa. Olisi suotavaa, että receptionin ja aamiaisravintolan henkilökunta edes tervehtisivät oma-aloitteisesti. Aamiaisen laitossa ilmeisesti myös henkilökuntaa liian vähän. Wir waren entäuscht! Die Zimmer sind sehr ungepflegt. Haben ein Zimmer im 4. Stock bekommen. Im linken Flügel war eine Baustelle. In Gang hat das Licht nicht funktioniert. Das Zimmer war total verraucht. Sehr alte Möbel. Kein warmes Wasser! Konnten wenigstens das Zimmer tauschen. Das zweite Zimmer (im 2. Stock) war etwas besser. Neuerer Fernseher und […] Möbel. In den Zimmern stehen total dreckige Kühlschränke, wozu auch immer, in so einen Kühlschrank würde ich sowieso nichts reinstellen. Die Sauna selbst war ok, aber die Umgebung schrecklich. Irgendwo im kalten Keller, mit einer Dusche, die man nur ungern betreten würde, und wieder nur kaltes Wasser. Das einzig positive war das Frühstück. Große Auswahl, frische Sachen. Nur muss man einen Platz finden. Wir waren immer gegen 9 unten, es war ziemlich voll. Werde das Hotel nicht mehr buchen. Continua a leggere

La situation de l'hôtel est parfaite. Proche du centre, dans un quartier sympa. Bien que l'hôtel soit proche de la route B2R (Mittel Ring), c'est très calme. Deux restos italiens très bien entre l'hôtel et la station de métro. Le petit déjeûner est correct, sans plus. La salle est très exigue et bruyante. La chambre à quatre était OK, mais les matelas […] sont très mous. Attention au dos le lendemain... Sinon hôtel correct pour le prix, sans plus. Continua a leggere

O Hotel fica a 10 min a pé da estação de Metro chamada Maillinger-str. (linha U1) que por sua vez fica a apenas duas estação da Central Station. O Café da manhã é excelente. O preço é justo.

Enkelt och trevligt hotell till ett bra pris. Inte alltför långt från centrum. Trivdes alldeles utmärkt.

Ett bra hotell och billigt. Bra placering för den kommunala trafiken. Utmärkt frukost.
