Poor value, long check in time, one small elevator, small room/bathroom despite fancy name. Restaurants are inadequate for a large hotel full of kids, two restaurants in the hotel did not accept reservations and I didn't want to wait until 10pm to get a table or bar space. Front desk was very friendly when it became my turn to check in but room housekeeping […] was poor (left wet towels lying around, robe on bed, no tissues, no breakfast order form etc), only one ice machine (on another floor) and no in room tea/coffee maker or door on the very small closet. Was very disappointed with the food. Sent my parents there for their anniversary and they were served hamburgers with moldy bread. They also were served cold coffee. For the amount of money you pay per night for this hotel you would think the food would be superb. Very disappointed. I won't send them there again:(

This is a beautiful historic grand hotel. Staffs are very friendly. A lot of on site activities, music, movie, shopping, in-door and out-door heated pool will keep the evening and night busy. Shuttle bus are convenient for many activities on the resort, horse sleigh, dog sleigh, cross country and down hill skiing etc. Dinning is also very convenient […] and with good quality inside hotel. The only thing that we didn't like is the roof-top ice-skating ring. That was one of the major attractions for which we book the hotel. We expected to skate with a grand view on the roof. While my husband and I only went for one night to celebrate our anniversary most of the staff was wonderful and quite pleasant to work with. We did have a problem with the a/c in our room and they sent soneone up quickly to fix it so that our room was not 75 degree, he was there less than a minute and told us there was nothing that we could do. Mountain View Grand in Whitefield vs Mt Wash in Bretton Woods the Mt. Wash is bigger throughout the lobby area, has a larger spa area, year round outdoor heated pool & indoor pool with hot tub, the Cave bar is a great place, band was pretty good, game room w/all games 50 cents to $2. Mt Wash is next to ski area. Extremely hot in our room (86 with the […] windows open) and throughout the hotel. there are alot of weddings here so it was crowded (especially in the bar). there are shuttles to take you to local food & ski area. A great candy shop. Movie night at certain times & movie determined by hotel, setup a screen in one of their rooms for viewing. 18 holes golf The Mountain View Grand seems more homey, the staff were more engaging, there are rooms where you can gather with family and friends to play games, read, etc. Movie theater for free, just reserve your time and one of hundreds of movies they have (two rows of leather recliners, free popcorn and BYOB if you can reserve for the Patriots game). Game room w/a pool table, ping pong, foos ball, air hockey all for free. Tremendous wine cellar and restaurant hidden downstairs, not really advertised, ask about it. The Sunday brunch brunch and food was outstanding. the bar is pretty good here, a few weddings. Snow machine from hotel, small barn w/some animals. the indoor pool has a outdoor mural painted as a wrap around on the walls, sauna & hot tub. the outdoor pool is only for summer. 9 holes golf we will go back to both Continua a leggere

The hotel is the ultimate combination of old New England charm and modern ammenities, all on the best piece of property in the northeast. The service is excellent, the spa is great, the food is very good. A great getaway, we will certainly be back.

Absolutely breathtaking scenery and hotel. Our room was a little small, but you should not be in the room much with it being such a beautiful place. Definitely check out the Cave, which was a Prohibition era bar and take the tour of the hotel to learn more about its rich history.

Overall it was a pleasant weekend. However there are a few itemas of concern. The hotel was very warm. For cold weather wear, it was unbearable. I could have worn shorts and tank top and been comfortable. Room was tiny tiny tiny We ate at Stickneys and thought it was over priced. The food was mostly good. Scallop special was too salty so the server […] took off the coffee to compensate. Really? The staff was wonderful! It was wonderful and relaxing. Unfortunately, we weren't able to eat in the Main Dining Room, because it was under renovation and we had to eat at the same restaurant for each meal, but over-all, all was great!!

My husband, I and kids stayed for 2 nights. The hotel is amazing. Service was wonderful. Kids loved outdoor & indoor pools. (Outdoor pool was warmer than indoor). Stayed over Thanksgiving. They had many activities on during our stay and even got a surprise visit from Santa! Kids loved the movie at night and the Cave for the adults was great. We absolutely LOVE Omni Mount Washington Hotel & Resort. After staying here it is now our favorite vacation spot and we can not wait to return. Every aspect of it deserves a 5. From the views, to service, equisite food, & the campfire we got to sit by everynight.

Just spent an anniversary weekend at the Omni Mount Washington and it was spectacular. Every single employee was friendly and helpful. The views are amazing including the view from our room which was very nice – it felt more like we were in a classic bed and breakfast instead of a large hotel. Two large, comfortable chairs, outstanding bed, high ceilings, […] ceiling fan, large step down bathroom, big closet. During our down time we were quite content to spend time in the room. The restaurants were all good. Lunch at the Rosebrook Bar was excellent with stunning views! Dinner at Stickney’s was also excellent. Dinner the second night at the Dining Room was just OK. The food was outstanding but I think the atmosphere in there needs some work; if I need to wear a jacket, they need to up their game a bit in the dining room. Drinks later at the Cave though made up for it – I LOVED the Cave. You could spend hours either on the veranda or in the lobby just relaxing, reading, people watching, having drinks etc. The whole environment is very relaxing. There is also an outdoor, gas powered fire pit with chairs around it where we passed time between dinner and the Cave opening (9PM) with some other couples. On a cool fall night there is nothing better. We didn’t try the spa but we did enjoy the indoor pool and hot tub. There are many walking trails on the grounds and we took one out along a river for a few miles which also bordered the golf course. HIGHLY recommend this hotel. Continua a leggere

Very disappointed. We arrived late from Boston and had to resort to ordering one hamburger from room service. There were no nearby restaurants. We knew it would be higher than typical and were willing to pay the gratuities, taxes, etc. The hamburger was worse than a "MacDonald" hamburger and when the bill was slipped under the door for checkout the […] next morning, it included an additional "$25.00 amenities fee." There were no amenities - we did not even have a cup of coffee. My husband spoke to the clerk at the front desk and she made no attempt to rectify the situtation. The one hamburger and a rootbeer basically cost $50.00. The room rate was the highest of our entire trip and was not even as nice as the Hampton Inn where we stayed the next night. At least we had a nice breakfast and coffee included. The hiidden "amenities" fee is unacceptable. Amenities should be included in the room charge upfront and explained at check-in! My room was a bit small for a couple but very comfortable otherwise. Superb upkeep for the age and much of the pieces in the lobby are original dating to the early 1900s. We went in the fall at peak foliage. You felt like you were always walking in a postcard. Highly recommend.

Other than the service being suboptimal in one of the dining rooms one evening, our stay was everything that we could have wanted. The weather was also less than totally coopertive but that is obvioously out of the control of the hotel. We are looking forward to our return visit!

We enjoyed the ambiance and classic style of the hotel. The bathroon in our room was a bit dirty. The temperature in our room was hard to control (old heating system). Restaurants were pricey and required reservations.

Overall satisfied except for two things women I dealt with at front desk was rude and not helpful and two rooms booked together one was nice and second very tiny both same price when we went to the desk front desk once again was not helpful the rest of staff was wonderful

The hotel buildings and golf course were superb. The main dining room was dreadfully expensive and the food was an abomination. This was a $200 meal for 2 people and we have eaten better at Tim Horton's. Dessert was fine but duck and rack of lamb at $50 per entree were strocious

The hotel itself was great, but our visit was marred by the fact that the reservation claimed a mountain view room and what we were given was a room with a view of a construction site (scaffolding over the windows and all). When I went to the front desk to complain I showed them the reservation and they agreed that I was promised a mountain view room, […] but they were all full. I would have expected some sort of attempt to make up for the oversight, but other than give us a room with no scaffolding they did nothing (still no mountain view..). The moment you enter the Omni Mt. Washington, you are transported to an era bygone of grace and grandness. The views of the White Mountain region are incredible and there is an unending list of activities for the whole family convenient by foot or shuttle service. Pleasant old world hotel in a near perfect location, nestled in a bowl surrounded by the White Mountains of NH. With its own 27 hole golf course, miles of hiking trails and nearby ziplining or skiing, it's a wonderful family destination in any season. It's expensive, but good! Plenty to do for the whole family, whether it's sitting on the veranda relaxing and admiring the scenery, or ziplining over the forest on the canopy tour (highly recommended)

It is a grand hotel, but in need of much renovations and just plain maitenance. For the money we paid for the accommodations I believe it could have been alot better. To say that the accomodations and service are top shelf is an understatement. The panoramic views of the presidential range can't be beat, and the staff bent over backwards to make you feel appreciated as a guest. We went for a anniversary weekend and it was just perfect. The hotel is beautiful and is definately worth the trip.

Fantastic Hotel!! I would recommend this to everyone. The staff were the most gracious, professional and helpful. The views from every where spectacular. The food in the hotel is very high in price, but great. We were treated like royalty. It was so relaxing . The formal bar upstairs was high class. But be sure to visit the Cave Bar downstairs. Plenty […] of formal and informal sitting areas. There was not any entertainment during the week in the hotel (bands,music) which would have been nice. It may be on the weekend. Not sure. the hotel was beautiful. the lobby,porchs,the grounds, ect were like something from a magazine. the room however was nothing like what you see when you review the room on line. they were ok....nothing plush or at all what i expected. with a hotel that looks so fancy i really expected the room to have beautiful furniture, a big t.v. and a nice sitting […] area. it was average. i was disapointed. the rooms at bretton arms....down at the bottom of the hill....were outstanding. that is what i expected at the omni. we ate at stuckeys...which was good but expensive. i ordered the onion rings. for $7.00 i got a plate with 3..that's right ..3 onion rings!!!!i could not believe it. the next night i got the hamburger plate and substitued onion rings for the french fries. it cost me $11.00. the burger was fantastic and it included...the same 3 onion rings...a much better deal...i think they feel if you're going to stay here that you have money. i spent $35.00 for breakfast (2eggs, bacon,waffles,tea and coffee....way to much!!!) and an average of $90 for dinner. no much else is around so they kind of have you at there mercy. i did pack my own lunches...that saved me some money. also i got a fridge at no charge. when i questioned it they said that it was the slow season and they charge for the fridge when it's busy...what's up with that!!! i would stay again but this time be more prepared.... We absolutely loved this hotel. From the moment we drove up(which was late in the evening), the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. We felt the grandeur of a time gone past, yet brought back to life. The nature and mountain setting is stunning.
