Everything was just wonderful, above and beyond our expextations.Only one thing that we didn't care for. It may not matter to some folks but not having prices on the breakfast menu in the main formal dining room isn't very considerate, we thought how expensive can a few eggs and toast be? My wife and I had 2 eggs, home fries and toast with bacon, I […] had a small grapfruit juice, no coffee, the bill came to 43.60, the home fries were not that good. Needless to say we did not eat breakfast in the main dining room again. The king bed was incredibly comfortable, the sheets were super soft. You can hear through the hallway walls somewhat, so if you stay here try to be quiet in the halls. It might have been more noisy to me because i was closer to the elevator and foot traffic. The hotel is very grand and ornate. I was hoping for a ghost encounter, we did open the window […] to cool the room, a minute later it slammed shut on its own (ghost..) In room dining i had a filet minon which was incredibly mouth watering (and I'm very picky about steak). Breakfast buffet is $20 per person, and it was all very good, our waiter Justin was excellent! I was dressed in ski gear and there was no concern there about dress code. The bell boys seemed really cool, they all gave me suggestions on the best runs at Loon and Bretton and Cannon. They would be 5 stars if they had HD TV this is 2012 !

The property OMNI took over is massive and it appears OMNI is in over its head. The lobby has mismatched , dingy furniture that looks very tired. Not a grand lobby that you would expect upon arrival. The dining room is massive. We had an inexperienced waiter which only made our service worse, as he traveled back and forth across the dining to bring […] our food. Our room was situated outside the lobby where we were kept awake by until very late (after midnight) and bright and early, 5 am. For the cost of our room, I expected much more than what we got. This is a great hotel with a spectacular view. Services are incredible and the staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the main dining hall was quite possibly the best I have ever had. My husband and I have vacationed in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire for years, but have never been able to stay at this resort. I found a great deal after the foliage season, and decided to take it. It was well worth it. The view when you drive up is breathtaking. You feel like you are stepping back in time. We were greeted by the valet […] and bellhops immediately. Walking into the hotel takes your breath away. Check-in was easy, and they were so helpful and friendly. The rooms have high ceilings, and are warmly decorated. The view we had was wonderful; Mount Washington right in full view. At home we had had no power for 4 days, and were not dressed appropriately for the gorgeous Dining Room for dinner. One of the employees suggested Stickney's, since it had no dress code. We were greeted warmly, and were almost alone in the restaurant. The food was delicious, not cheap, but delicious. We had a great time just wandering around the building and looking at the photos and views. You definitely need to stay for more than one night to fully experience the resort. We didn't get to go to the pool or spa, or try out the breakfast buffet, and will need to do that next time. Overall we had a wonderful time. We felt like VIPs. I cannot wait to go back! This is a beautifully restored hotel in the mountains of NH. The views are more fabulous than I imagined they would be. My husband and Istayed here and celebrated our anniversary and everything was perfect! I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in the fall of 2011 and wish we had allowed another nite to enjoy the hotel and area. The food was good in the restaurant down stairs and after 9pm the Cave was a must do with live entertainment that changed during our stay. The Omni is very classy and has 2 guided tours per day to familiarize you with it's rich heritage. Loved everything […] about it. Continua a leggere

Very nice. Only problem is old electrical issues. Outlet in the bathroom went out w/hairdryer. Not enough outlets in room. And our overhead light kept coming on at night even though we kept turning it off. My kids thought it was the ghosts! Loved being able to sit on the terrace and look at the most breathtaking views.

If you're looking for a spectacular hotel that is opulent, surrounded by nature, and a historical landmark, there may no better hotel in all of New England than the Mount Washington. Built in 1900, the architecture and craftsmanship places it in a league of its own as one of America's best grand hotels. Outside every window is a view of some of the […] highest peaks that New Hampshire has to offer, and there is no better homebase for hiking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, or skiing if you are the type of person that loves the rugged outdoors and also appreciates some of the finer details of first class service. Historically, the very foundation of our modern financial systems were laid here just before the mid century with the signing of the Bretton Woods Accord, a history that is well told and celebrated at the hotel with plenty of artifacts and reading to satisfy the armchair historian in all of us. It kinda reminded me of and made me feel like I was at the resort that is in Dirty Dancing. So if your looking for that kind of hotel, then it would be great for you. I would rather have a more laid back stay where I can go eat dinner wearing shorts and a t-shirt and a big must have for me is having a balcony, which this place doesn't have. Made me […] feel like I was staying in a closet with a bed and bathroom. 300 sf really isn't that big. But I always wanted to stay there and now I can say I did. My husband and I stayed overnight and was delighted to find our room was ready on arrival. The front desk gave us a room with a direct view of Mt. Washington. The staff went above and beyond to tend to our needs. The food was excellent, but the alcoholic beverages were a bit pricey. The grounds were impeccably clean with beautiful landscaping.. The hotel was beautiful. The grounds were extraordinary. Our room was comfortable and charming in a victorian kind of way. We enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything was great, but the only thing we would have liked was a bit of entertainment in the evening, such as live music, a movie or something similar as there was nothing to do at night.

We went to Mt washington Hotel for our 25th wedding anniversary and thoroughly enjoyed it. The service was great and welcoming. These young staff were happy to serve and did an excellent job. The hotel itself is so interesting architecturally and beautifully furnished. My favorite is the wide wrap-around verandah with whichever view you wanted at the […] time of day and waiter service finds you! Amazing hotel with great views, food and service

I absolutely LOVE this place. Everything is so impeccably run, and the view are simply breathtaking. One of the most romantic places I know.

The Mt. Washington hotel is magnificent, but definitely caters to the wealthy. There was valet service, bell hops, and the staff were very friendly. One thing they don't mention ahead of time is that the only place to eat is in the hotel and our bill for 2 for dinner and breakfast with tips was more than we paid for our room! They also charge a resort […] fee which covers things we didn't even take advantage of but still had to pay. The hotel is beautiful, though they could stand to turn the heat down. I wouldn't usually stay at this type of property, but I was using credit points. The view is wonderful and the hotel has a lot of character. We had a room facing Mt. Washington even after requesting a change due to an loud vent on the roof below. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The shuttles that take you to Bretton Woods are very convenient. The […] long cavernous hallways create a lot of echo, so the kids charging around and slamming doors at 6:30 AM on a Saturday and Sunday morning drove us crazy. Dining options are limited and book up VERY quickly on busy nights/ weekends. Unless you want to put a jacket on and eat in the formal dining room, your options are limited. I did enjoy the food at Stickney's pub, but it was slightly overpriced. They can get away with it because of the limited dining options in the area. Breakfast was even more limiting. You have two choices - expensive huge buffet, or room service. While I like to have a kitchenette and fridge so I can eat independently if I prefer, I did enjoy the hotel for its character, location and history. Continua a leggere

Overall, it is a nice hotel with friendly services and in a nice location. Although the hotel is old (historic), they did renovation and the room we stayed looks nice and clean. Can't beat the view! The mountain surroundings are just so beautiful. It's a good place to stay for a family with young kids. My preschooler is super excited about the fun […] backpack he received upon arrival and also the complimentary cookies delivered to our room at night. The spa looks nice. I didn't go this time but would love to enjoy the spa if I'm going again. Just two things I would pay attention to: 1. The formal dining room seems to have a dress code during dinner hour. Jackets are required for gentlemen. Be prepared if you plan to have dinner there. We ended up ordering in-room food service. Breakfast hour has no dress code and more relaxed so we went and enjoyed a good time there (food is good and window mountain view is pretty!) 2. They have two indoor pools. One is located in the hotel; the other is in the other building (needs to take shuttle service or drive there). We arrived on Sunday and went to the indoor pool in the hotel. It's not big and there were so many people in the pool. My 4-yr-old son enjoyed the water fun a lot but I can't ignore to see some dirt and hairs in the water. We didn't get a chance to use the other indoor pool, but that one should be bigger and cleaner. Anyway, we would stay at this hotel again if we are going to that area. Continua a leggere

This hotel is truly a special one. For anyone who has never been to a historic grand resoprt this is a treat. With an enormous and well decorated building nestled in the white mountains this resort offers much more than a place to stay for a night. The building is filled with history and intrigue. Make sure to take the time to explore every wing, including […] the "Cave" and all of the shops in the basement. Great dinner, great views, friendly staff and patrons. It was a great experience. During a two day stay which included a wedding reception we found the food to be at best inconsistent. The food was never as hot as it should have been and on the breakfast buffet that was especially true.

The Hotel was gorgeous and a must see! I really enjoyed my stay. The room was a bit small but cozy seeing as it was just for 2 guests. Exploring the hotel was a great adventure in itself (you have to go into the Cave). The downsides were - dining in the hotel was a bit $$ and there were not many options unless you want to drive ~30mins. The surrounding […] area didn't have many attractions unless you want to ski or hike (which we did so it didn't bother us). I would not call this a resort in the true sense of the word. Check in was great but from there it went down hill. Very few of the staff seemed happy to be working here. We had difficulty getting into the restaurants not because they were full but they had no staff to clear the tables. The staff seemed indifferent. It was a busy holiday weekend but […] at a hotel like this you would have expected them to be better prepared. We ended up driving off site for dinner one night and skipping the long line for a breakfast buffet the next morning. This hotel was incredible. I have lived in NH all my life and have traveled many places outside of the state, country, and continent and this hotel/service/experience was one of the best I have had. Food great, and not overly priced if you are used to city prices like Boston MA. Beautiful hotel, rooms are great, even if ours was a bit small (that's […] what happens on a budget where you want to have a great experience but watch your wallet). There are so many things to do within the hotel, the bar was what a couple would be looking for, and if you are the outdoor type, plenty of places to hike, and walk around. The hotel was so elegant and so comfortable! The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. The pools and hotel activities were great too. The staff were all so friendly and the attention we received enhanced our vacation. The only downside was the cost of food. I was happy to pay "top dollar" for fine dining options like we experienced at the Bretton […] Arms Inn, but when we were looking for a more "casual" food option, the costs were very high. The location is lovely, but a bit of a drive to seek out alternitive food options. We are a family of 4 (2 kids under age 6). We ate 2 meals a day on the property and tried each food venue they offered. At the end of our 4 day trip, our food cost came to $600. We will stay at this hotel again, we will just plan to make the 20-30 minute drive off property for meals. Overall, a fine hotel! Continua a leggere

Great location, great surroundings with magnificent views of Mt. Washington, great amenities, pool indoor-outdoor, hot tub, impecable tennis courts on clay and included with your stay, fantastic golf course for a very affordable price. Watch out for the room you get, as this can make a huge difference. You might be lucky and get a nice room with mountain […] view and away from the noisy elevator and central stairs, or the oposite, a room right above the loading dock or parking lot and a lot of noise. Bring ear plugs just in case. Rooms are a little outdated but have character. Main dining room serves great food, pricey though. Also, be prepared to tip left and right ! Continua a leggere

Despite the expensive price, I did enjoy staying at Mt. Washington Resort. The staff was very friendly, the lobby was incredibly nice with plenty of seats to just sit around and enjoy the setting. There was someone playing piano at night. The outside deck was a great place to enjoy the mountain view. Ate in the Dining Room for breakfast and it was outstanding. […] The resort offers valet parking and concierge service. Didn't use it though. There was someone in the elevator to press the buttons. Not sure if that was necessary. The room was slightly disappointing with the price charged for it. It initially took a few minutes for the hot water to kick in the first time I used it. The walls are a little thin and the room doors are heavy so when people are coming in and out, you could hear it every time. Not too many channels on the TV. For me, it was worth staying at once but if you're looking for luxurious rooms to stay in, you may be disappointed. Continua a leggere

This is an older, historic property and is in the process of restoration. The main elevator still has an operator. The location, views, verandas are wonderful as is the ambiance. Eating is a challenge because the wonderful complete breakfast buffet and old-fashioned formal dinners are expensive and take time. Meals reminded me of "cruising". We ended […] up finding other places to eat to broaden our experience. Be sure to take the historic tour of the hotel, given twice each day. Take time to relax on the verandas.
