Excellent rooms, I really recommend the executive suite on the 6th floor with view of the creek and Burj Khalifa. It really looks stunning at night. The hotel minibar is totally affordable and not your usual rip off, cans of soda were 3 Dh, they had Bounty chocolate for 4 Dh. The TV was excellent, the wifi worked throughout the building and was included […] with the room. This room had the fancy Japanese toilet seats and a bathtub that could fit 3 or 4 people. Water pressure in the shower was amazing, wish my apartment in Hong Kong had that pressure. I had dinner in the Chinese/Japanese restaurant a couple of nights, food was good, breakfast buffet was also good and offered Asian and vegetarian options.Overall I had a really great stay, the staff are all friendly and the room was great. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite and my bedroom (as booked) overlooked the Creek. For my short visits to Dubai (2-3 nights) this hotel is in an ideal situation, and I was pleased with every aspect of it.

I ENJOYED MY STAY AT THE HOTEL. I WOULD STAY THERE AGAIN IF I WAS VISITING OLD DUBAI BUT NEXT TIME I AM IN DUBAI I WILL STAY IN THE NEW PART OF THE CITY ONLY FOR PROXIMITY TO THIS AREA.

My room was clean, well maintained, and good enough. The hotel isn't five star but doesn't pretend to be... breakfast was excellent, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and everything was as promised. This was my first time staying at the Riviera, but I would stay there again.

I really liked the service at the hotel. Their breakfast was absolutely excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's near by the Union metro station in Deira. As a minus, the hotel is pretty old and in need of refurbishing. Plus, the wireless internet will cost you extra.

Staff were welcoming and helpful. Amenities very good. Room comfortable and pleasant. We used the Asian restaurant for our evening meal - the food and service were of very high standard. We enjoyed our stay despite the high temperatures outside (47C). Taxis readily available, very helpful porter. Will recommend to others.

The hotel is a great value for its price. There are hotels which are definitely better but they also cost significantly more. I would recommend it for anyone looking to stay at a decent hotel.

THE ONLY MINUS OF THE HOTEL IS THAT IT DOESNT SERVE ALCOHOL AND NO POOL. BESIDES THAT IT HAS A GOOD STAFF GOOD HOUSEKEEPING GOOD DOORMEN. HOTEL IS VERY CLEAN GOOD LUNCH BUFFET AND IF YOU STAYING IN THE DEIRA NEIGHBORHOOD OF DUBAI ITS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY FOR THE MONEY YOU PAY. THE IN ROOM BAR HAS WATER CANDY AND SODA .AND IS VERY CHEAP COMPARED TO […] OTHER HOTELS IN THE AREA. ALMOST MARKET PRICE. THEY HAVE SHUTTLE GOING TO THE BEACH EVERY DAY AT 8 AM RETURNING AT 12 PM. As family of four, we booked two non smoking rooms but as it turns out got "smoking" rooms. Staff was not willing to correct this because we didn't immediately "discovered" it (we dropped our bags in one room and went into town). It left us a bad feeling about this hotel's client service.

We stayed here for 1 night on our way to our final destination. Be aware that if your flight arrives before check-in, you may have to wait to get a room. We arrived at 1pm Friday and had to wait an hour to get a room, along with 4 other groups. I went to the front desk to get help with booking a Saturday morning desert tour. The staff was very rude […] and said a Saturday tour wasn't possible and the only way that I could find a tour was to extend my trip. I asked if there were any tour offices nearby that could help me and was told "no." That evening, I went to the Dubai Mall and found a tour office that set me up with a tour. The tour was great and everything worked out, but it bothered me that the staff told me Saturday morning tours don't exist. I only had 1 1/2 days in Dubai and almost missed going on this tour because I was given wrong information. Other than that, the hotel was pretty decent, but it's definitely not a 4-star hotel, more like a 3. The breakfast is decent considering it's included with your room and the bottled water in the rooms is very reasonable (< US$1) so you don't have to worry about finding a grocery store for water. The hotel will try to push the "hop on hop off" bus tour on you. The hotel probably gets a nice commission from selling tickets because 2 or 3 people tried to sell it to me. I ended up taking the brochure for the tour, finding the 4 places I wanted to visit, and took a taxi to each location which cost substantially less than the bus tour. Continua a leggere

I have stayed here a few times and it has always been very good. The best part of the hotel is the view on the creek side, well worth the premium on the room. the guests are a polyglot of nationalities and make the experience all the more fun. Now with the Metro close by you can get anywhere in town fairly easily.

The Riviera has a wonderful location right beside the Gold Souk and the Creek. It is not a Marriot or Radisson but has good rooms / Wi Fi / TV but its location is a winner. This Hotel's only drawback being in such a hot spot is the lack of a pool and the Bar is a soft bar which was no trouble to us. Staff are excellent.

I had read a couple of reviews about this hotel and they were mixed. However, once I arrived I was thrilled by the location, quailty, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Right on the main drag along Dubai Creek. About two blocks from the Gold Souk. About a block and a half from the Banyis Square Metro station. The location could not have been […] better. We were able to hop on the Metro and get to the Burj, Emerates Mall and the Airport with ease. They had a couple of real nice resturants and the free breakfast was outstanding. Room was clean and huge with a sitting area seperate from the bed area. When compared with the big ticket hotels, this one is a hidden gem. Next time I am in Dubai this is where I will stay. Comfortable and within walking distance of shops, restaurants and Baniyas Square and the Gold Souk (15-20 mins walk). Hotel room good size with a balcony facing the creek (athough too hot to sit there). Would return if I went to Dubai again and would recommend the Hotel - I would say it gives good value for your money.

We stayed two nights and had a late checkout on our third day. The staff were all very helpful, especially the reception desk staff who assisted us with a tour booking. The hotel is straight across the road from the Creek and close to the airport, too. It was great value for money.

We had a lovely time in this hotel. It is situated in the Diera district (old Dubai) and it is certainly worth paying a little extra to have a room overlooking the Dubai creek. The creek is a busy and fascinating waterway. There are many dhows sailing up and down and moored across from the hotel, loading and unloading. There is a water taxi station […] just across the road from the hotel. Very cheap and a lot of fun. Amongst other things, the textile souk (market) is located across the creek, so the water taxi is handy for this excursion. All the major tours will call at the hotel to pick you up. The hotel is old and full of character. It is very clean and well maintained. All the staff we met, without exception, were very friendly. All of them spoke good English. The Diera area is old but it is clean and we felt quite safe walking around the streets. The "hop on hop off" bus stops across the road from the hotel which is convenient given the temperatures. Another little tip - we arrived very early in the morning so, via the hotel website, we arranged for a car to be at the airport to pick us up. The cost is added to your hotel room. We had one excellent evening meal at the hotel restaurant. This was well priced and once again the staff were very friendly. One little grizzle - it would have been nice to have a glass of wine meal but this is against the local law. The hotel and Dubai itself, were two very pleasant surprises on our travels. Last year we stayed at a hotel in the business area but this year we wanted somewhere near the Creek. This hotel is on Creek Road, looked small enough to get a personal service but large enough to get quality. On arrival, we found the reception staff (Grace) very helpful and friendly. We had already upgraded from a standard room to the Executive package […] to be sure that the taxi fees and internet were included but on arrival Grace advised that she had upgraded us again (at no extra charge) to a suite instead of a room! The view over the creek was perfect. The room was well air-conditioned and the hotel had a very good skyline view of the main buildings in Dubai, including the Burj Khalifa. 1 minute's walk took you to the side of the creek where you could watch the ships being loaded and unloaded, but the room was not noisy despite the main road right outside. We weren't overly impressed with the Hana restaurant in the hotel, although the food was good but not really to our taste. If you like sushi and a multitude of seafood options then you would really like it though. After breakfast (in the other restaurant) we took a short stroll along the creek to get some air then popped back in for another coffee. As we had left earlier, we then had to pay for the coffee so I wasn't too pleased about that but we could have drunk as much as we liked once we had paid! Overall, good staff, and will be a fine hotel once the renovations are complete! We'd stay there again. Continua a leggere

We stayed for two nights on a stopover in Dubai, having chosen the hotel for its proximity to the gold souk, as we wanted to shop there, and also because it's only a short distance from the airport. We had a creek view room which was clean, comfortable and offered splendid views. It was an easy stroll to the gold souk. The hotel breakfast was nice - […] not a huge selection but plenty enough to please pretty much everyone I think. Overall our short stay was enjoyable and we have no complaints. Das Hotel liegt im alten Bereich von Dubai und in der Nähe zur U-Bahn Station. Dies ist gerade bei den warmen bis heissen Tages-Temperaturen sehr wichtig. Es gibt zwei Kategorien von Zimmern. Bra och prisvärt hotell om du vill bo i Diera, gamla delen av Dubai alltså. Nära till närmaste metrostation och några hundra meter till röda linjen som går mot Dubai Mall m.m. Bra rymligt rum med det som behövs. Utsikt över souk är lite felvisande då det var utsikt mot ett parkeringshus och några höghus. Bra frukost i asiatisk stil med gott om varmrätter. […] Stort minus för att jag fick vänta 50 minuter efter incheckningstiden innan rummet var färdigstädat. Situé en bordure de la Creek, je recommande particulièrement les chambres avec vue sur celles-ci. Les Souks de la vielle ville sont à proximité. Confortable et bien entretenu, cet hotel dispose d'un personnel courtois et serviable. Les chambres sont impeccables et sont équipées de tout le nécessaire de bien-être. Le metro est à 200 mètres de l'hotel […] et les taxis, bon marché à Dubai, sont toujours très nombreux le long de la Creek, de jour comme de nuit. De petites embarcations locales font la navette pour traverser la Creek et se rendre dans l'autre partie de la vieille ville. ドバイには沢山のホテルがあり、選択に悩みましたが、初めてのドバイ訪問のため、日本人スタッフがいるというこのホテルを選びました。出発前から、日本語のメールの遣り取りで、色々教えていただきました。ホテルは、家庭的な感じです。日本人スタッフ以外の方でも、日本語が少し出来る方がおられたり、日本語の現地案内がフロントに置いてあったりして、日本人でドバイに不慣れな方には、是非おすすめしたいホテルです。朝食に、和食もあったのは、嬉しい驚きでした。

Älteres Hotel mit orientalischen Charm. Die Zimmer mit Einfachaustattung. Minibar gut bestückt und äußerst preiwert. (Wasser und Säfte für 40-60 Ct. Frühstücksbuffet sehr umfangreich mit teils täglich wechselnden Angeboten. Freundliches Personal.
