Un po' decentrato ma servito molto bene dai servizi pubblici, i bus 22 e 35 passano ogni 5 minuti dal centro e portano davanti all'hotel. Il centro si raggiunge in circa 20 minuti di bus, contando le varie fermate. La stanza è grande con un letto matrimoniale molto grande, condizionatore e bagno. Cambiano gli asciugamani tutti i giorni. il personale […] è disponibile e ci è stato d'aiuto per i trasporti. il hi-fi è gratuito solo nella hall mante nelle camere costa 10£ al giorno. La colazione è cara da fare in albergo, circa 8£ a testa. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo, se volete risparmiare qualcosina e vi accontentate di stare in un quartiere un po' distante dal centro. L'hotel è moderno ed accogliente, dotato di parcheggio privato gratuito. La camera spaziosa, pulita e silenziosa con tv, aria condizionata e phon. Il bagno grande e con impianto idraulico ben funzionante. Il wi-fi è a pagamento, libero solo nella hall, dove c'è anche un servizio bar gratuito. La colazione con dolce e salato, varia anche se non eccellente. […] L'hotel si trova a circa 4 km dal centro, a cui è ben collegato grazie a 3 linee di autobus che fermano davanti all'ingresso e che in circa 10 min portano in Princess Strett. Il quartiere circostante è comunque ricco di pub e ristoranti, negozi e un grande centro commerciale. Buona l'accoglienza, stanza confortevole e pulita. Buona prima colazione. Purtroppo l'hotel è lontano dal centro ma è servito molto bene da molte linee di bus. Ottimo per la visita al Britannia, lo yacht reale, dal quale si trova a pochi metri.

Really liked this budget hotel and the staff where really friendful and helpful. The free breakfast offered excellent choice of hot and cold food and suited all the family. This hotel is in a great location, close to Leith's waterfront and has bus stops right outside affording easy access to all areas of Edinburgh. I would recommend and will be visiting […] again. We arrived before check in time but our room was ready so we got in right away. We found the service very good and everyone very helpful. The location is ideally suited for travelling into the city centre because the buses stop just outside and they are frequent. Even though the hotel is quite a distance from the city centre it's great for the Ocean Terminal mall with it's shops and cinema and eating places. Also the fantastic Royal Britannia yacht tour - well worth a visit. There is also good bus connections to the city centre. Overall it was a pleasant enough experience, the staff are very friendly and the atmosphere quite homely. The rooms are a bit on the small side but I expected that to be the case. The breakfast was satisfactory , but the scrambled eggs had way too much milk added to them !

Booked this hotel as it had free parking advertised. It had actually limited parking and late comers will have to park on the street (mostly unlit) with no security. The receptionist was rude and unhelpful when I enquired about the parking - told me to take it up with the agent I booked the hotel when she could have just apologised for the miscommu […] nication. Excellent value for money, and unlike other budget hotels, a hot breakfast is included in the price. The location is very good, close to Ocean Terminal, Brittania and the lively Water of Leith area, with a frequent bus service to the city centre on the doorstep. For a family room I thought it was a bit small. The sofa bed was already made when we arrived so the was no a lot of room left. The bathroom was a good size with a powerful shower. The only letdown was the food in the morning. THERE WAS NONE, they had run out of everything less the eggs.

The room was really tidy. However, we booked a double room and was given two single beds pushed together to create a 'king' without suitable linen. The room was quite small but probably adequate for our stay as we were not there during the day. It was good that breakfast was available.

Where else would you find staff that would sharpen your eye liner, lend scissors for dress alterations, print flight tickets for free and above all rearrange rooms after we stuffed up our own booking dates. So very accommodating and friendly and I haven't even mentioned the breakfast is free. Highly recommend it to anyone. A big Aussie thumbs up

Although the staff where very good supplying a small fan heater this did little to improve the comfort in our room. Added to the fact that there was no heating in the bathroom. We requested an accessable room as we are both disabled, having no heating in the bathroom made it even more uncomfortable. We are very unlikely to stay in one of your hotels […] again. Basic hotel. Small family room, very cramped. No drawers or storage for anything, so clothes and bags on top of tables and on floor. No toiletries either. Breakfast very basic, no eggs, bacon, fried bread, mushrooms etc. the usual you'd expect from a buffet breakfast. Staff were very miserable. Upon checking out i just got a grunt when handing my keycard […] back. Instead of maybe a 'how was your stay', or even a 'thankyou goodbye, come again sir'. Bit dissapointed really. Stayed during the Edinburgh festival so was always going to be expensive but the reception were quick and helpful. The hotel made for an easy going, convenient and very comfortable stay. Just what I expected for the price I paid. Excellent location for visitors to Leith itself and for Edinburgh if you don't mind a short bus trip. Buses were only £1.40 each way and covered a large area. Journey by bus to/from airport still only £1.40 but takes 1.5 hours. We enjoyed the opportunity to relax and sightsee on the way back to the airport. Hotel […] twin room was adequate but not spacious. Carpets need cleaning but we often find this in many busy hotels. Clever bathroom door also acts as toilet door allowing separate use of shower and sink. Good tea/coffee facilities and extra supplies provided after leaving a 'please' note. Reception staff very helpful and accommodating. Plenty of choice at breakfast and plenty of time during which to visit the restaurant. Some restaurant staff obviously not happy at work. Lack of television channels and weak signal meant tv was not worth watching. I paid for a weeks Internet connection but it kept dropping out and freezing. Lack of staff at front of house meant waiting for longer than acceptable for book in and bar.

The hotel was easy to find, check in was painless with no waiting. The room was very comfortable and as quiet as possible and the bathroom excellent. The hotel is close to some very good restaurants as well as good transport into central Edinburgh.

Stay at the Holiday Inn and you'll pay a lot less than those in the cruise liners tied up not 100 metres from the hotel....and have all the facilitiesof Edinburgh a short bus ride away. Clean, functional and everything you need, including a hot breakfast.

Rooms were a decent size and the staff was very friendly and accomodating. The location was nice and quiet and it was located right next to a mall if you wanted to get anything to eat. Glad I stayed here!

The location is good, close to the mall and Britannia yacht. Easy access by bus. The front desk staffs are friendly. However the room is small especially when the sofa bed is in used. At the first night, water drips from AC, the sofa bed is higher in the middle (cause backache) and the TV channels keep missing every couple of minutes. Then they moved […] us to the other room. But the AC was not working at all. I phoned the front desk and she promised to send technician but nobody showed up. Report to the manager the next morning. He just explained the room has the new pump which is not my concern. We just need AC working and front desk that can keep her promise. So I conclude the hotel is not good value for money compare to our stay in Holiday Inn Riverfront Glasgow. Continua a leggere
