Hotel was probably one of the finest in Palma, but that is many years ago... Air condition did not work, no hotel parking, and it took forever to check in at the counter. But location is good, rooms are comfy and clean

We were very comfortable there - great sleep after long flight. Nice piano music in lobby bar (even Pink Floyd ; > } ) and great poolside cafe con leche in the morning. Santiago at front desk was very friendly, helpful and patient and in large part because of him, we reserved another room for later in our visit.

Excellent location and view of Palma bay and cathedral. Friendly informative staff. Handy for bus stop for airport. Taxi rank outside hotel. Good for city break.

Wow - my 13 year old son still talks about what a lovely two day break we had together!... Had a full sea view, definitely worth paying the extra with a high floor. Gorgeous weather to boot. The hotel is excellent. Not sure what people talk about when they speak so negatively on some reviews about it being dated etc - yes it might be in places but in […] a nice way...but I have stayed in some of the best 4 and 5 star hotels all over the world and this is a solid excellent 4 star in my honest opinion, with lovely staff, beautifully presented hotel and the breakfast is amazing! The pool area is beautiful with new sunbeds and lovely pool. The pool bar is nice with great salds and sandwiches. It is a nice walk along the Marina to the cathedral and city... there are excellent restaurants within minutes walk from the main entrance. Single rooms are in the back of the hotel and have no water view. They also have not been renovated and take you back to the days of the 1960's with dim yellow fabric trotted and tired carpet and less than modern appliances. Staff was helpful. Location was great. Excellent hotel a short bus ride no 3 from the centre. Great pool and reasonably priced pool snacks. Very good room and extensive breakfast. Can't be beaten - go stay! Thoroughly recommend 10 out of 10!!

Hotel staff very pleasant, rooms very comfortable and spacious good location for Palma centre 20 min walk max drawbacks were not enough sun loungers plenty of space for more and very close to night life at the weekend, very noisy at 5am til 6am throw out time of discos (and that was on the 8th floor!) Previous comments about taxis nonsense there were […] always taxis sitting at the front of the hotel! Strangle most of the restaurants close to the hotel were Italian. Continua a leggere

We stayed here for 4 nights.Our only complaint was the terrible noise from the clubs underneath the hotel on friday and saturday night.The noise peaked at 4.00 am

Well located with many good places to eat nearby. If you like to walk there are great sights. The A/C is a little weak until about 19:00 and then will make you cover up at night if left on. A very busy hotel. Staff is very good.

Melia Palace Atenea was right in the centre of the port hotel very reasonable very clean and also friendly. Would stay there again and recommend it highly

Good location, rooms could have been cleaner, very expensive but got little for your money. On the review it states indoor and outdoor pools this is why we booked as we have two small children, however outdoor pool had no water in and indoor pool was several euros per person including the children and adults and children had to wear swim hats nightmare […] with a one year old. This hotel is well located if you want to be in the middle of the "night life" in Palma de Mallorca -- there is no beach front and at night it can be VERY noisy since the night clubs (which are many) go on till morning. If you are looking for a relaxed vacation spot -- this is not it. If you want to be in the middle of the party -- for sure this is […] a great place. I stayed at the hotel whilst visiting Majorca for a girls weekend. The staff were very cheerful and helpful. The hotel was very well positioned for walking into the centre or transport links for those who prefer not to walk. It was in a good position overlooking the marina and there was a choice of places to eat if you did not want to make use of the […] hotel restaurant. Everything was clean and in good condition but I think it would benefit from a bit of updating, although this does not in anyway spoil the experience. Continua a leggere

It was a more than fantastic stay, the room was cleaned and maintained to a very high standard. Such a great location, with views over the harbour......well worth upgrading to a seaview room. A group of us spent a long weekend here. The hotel was clean and cool, the pool area was spacious and well maintained with a small bar/ cafe area that served lovely, reasonably priced food. Overlooking the marina, it was a about a 25 minute walk into the old town, or a 5 euro taxi ride. We didn't try the breakfast as it was too pricey and just outside […] the hotel were plenty of cafes serving breakfast. The only thing i would change would be the addition of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Overall it was an excellent hotel which I would happily return to. Continua a leggere

hotel, is really good if you like a good walk to the old town, it takes about 20mins at a good pace. The walk however is very lovely, and lots of nice bars to have a drink in on route. The sun terrace is a real plus, and very relaxing after a days sight seeing. The drinks in the pool bar, are expensive, compared to the other bars.

What an amazing view from our room, right across the marina to the Cathedral, stunning by night. A splendid hotel with decent sized rooms, and a wonderful pool area. The choice at breakfast was terrific, such a variety from basic continental to fully cooked - with chef service. Staff always friendly and cheerful and veru efficient. Evening meals were […] great value for money, delicious and well presented. We have stayed in Palma many times but this was without doubt the best so far. The lift system is great, push the call button for the floor you want and the system tells you which of the 4 lifts is next and automatically delivers you there - a small thing I know but it's the little things that make a difference! Nice hotel...quite luxurious although ageing somewhat now. 5 mins in a taxi from the main city centre (all behind the Cathedral). Only disappointment was the additional charge to use the spa facilities (10 euros per person). Gym was free for hotel residents though.

We stayed in the hotel before heading off to stay with friends in the north of the island. The hotel is a fair way out of town, but occupies a nice position overlooking the marina. We were given a room at the side of the hotel and we overlooked a derelict building that looked as if it had once been a swimming pool. On this street were several 'adult' […] clubs. As we were there at the beginning of the week, we weren't disturbed by any noise, however I can see how this would be an issue towards the weekend. Breakfast was a very pleasant affair. Cooked food was a bit hit and miss - you can get eggs cooked to order if you don't fancy the rubbery looking scrambled ones! The choice of cold food was amazing; cheeses, fruit, meats, pastries etc. We had a hamburger as a snack for lunch and a bowl of strawberries - both reasonably priced and very tasty. Our room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was very spacious and a the complimentary toiletries were plentiful. The sun terrace was lovely. There were areas for you to sit and enjoy the sun and a pleasant shaded area with both loungers and tables and chairs. I wouldn't particularly recommend this as a base for a weeks family holiday, but for a few nights, it was ideal. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance, and we were able to get a three course meal at a very reasonable price. I would definitely use this hotel again. Continua a leggere

Fantastic location for partying, nice pool area, but rooms, food and service is not great. The lobby is a 1970's nightmare.

Excellent hotel with Pool overlooking the harbour. Did everything we asked of them, superb.

We visited the hotel for a 3 night break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better place! Everything about the hotel was wonderful, our room, the view, the staff, the location. Attention to detail was excellent they even sent us up a comp. bottle of champus and let us have our room for 2 hours after check-out at no extra […] cost! Staff at the pool bar were great and we had a real laugh with them, the Lifeguard was very helpful and chatty too. Just a 40min hop over from Alicante for us, so already looking to book next year. das palas atenea ist ein in die jahre gekommener kasten, dem man sein alter ansieht: risse in den wänden, putz der von den decken abblättert, mobiliar, das seit mindestens 20 jahren nicht mehr gewechselt wurde ... damit kann man vielleicht ja noch leben. und die meisten gäste (große low-budget-reisegruppen) stören sich auch nicht daran. völlig inkazeptabel […] ist jedoch der nächtliche lärm! unser zimmer (122) lag direkt gegenüber einer diskothek und an schlaf war zwischen 02.00h nachts und 06.30h am morgen nicht zu denken. der hotelleitung sind diese misstände bekannt, trotzdem wurde uns weder ein anderes zimmer angeboten (obwohl das haus nicht ausgebucht war), noch wurde sonst irgendetwas unternommen, obwohl wir uns mehrfach beschwerten und in der ersten nacht sogar schon mit ohrstöpseln zufrieden gewesen wären! aber, es gab weder die noch eine entschuldigung seitens des hotelpersonals. fazit: niemals wieder!! Dejligt og velbeliggende hotel lige overfor Palmas enorme lystbådehavn, og tæt på alle Palmas cityfaciliteter. Gode værelser, professionel og venlig betjening. Anbefalelsesværdigt til alle der ønsker et citybeliggende hotel.

Sådan er det - og sådan skal det være !

Bodde med min fru fem dagar på Palas Atenea. Mycket bra hotel, med kort promenad in til centrum Bra poolområde, med utmärkt bra och servering, men vid fullbelagt lite ont om solsängar. Den vanliga "sjukan" med att lägga en handduk och sen knappt använda solsängen finns även här, men det är ju inte hotellets fel. Läget är mycket bra, om man vill ha kort […] in till Palma. Det finns inga havsbad i direkt närhet, men man kan enkelt ta sig dit med tex buss, eller genom att hyra en cykel. Både cykel- och biluthyrning finns precis i närheten. Bra och tillmötesgående personal på alla sätt. Inga problem att låna ett rum för att byta om efter att vi hade lämnat vårt eget rum. Vill man inte betela för hotellets ganska dyra frukost, så finns det flera serveringar som gör bra frukost till lägre pris alldeles utanför hotellet. Vi absolut tänka oss att bo här igen. Härligt hotell, välj dock rum mot havet så får ni en underbar utsikt. Missa inte heller frukosten, här finns allt och tom tillagad omelett enligt egen önskan. Trevlig atmosfär i och kring hotellet, bra rum, hjälpsam och trevlig personal. Hittar inga negativa saker alls.

Hotellet ligger ganska långt från center för att promenera (ca 30min), särskillt under jätte heta sommardag.. Personalen på reception var väldigt olika, en del var jätte trevliga och hjälpsamma andra inte. Frukosten var väldigt bra. (Men om man äter middag samma tid som folk i Mallorca, alltså kl.22 och framåt kan man inte njuta frukosten riktigt...) Det […] ligger restauranger och barer, nattklubbar på närheten. Hotellet har alt en egentlig kan forvente: god beliggenhet, bra rom, god frokost, hyggelig bassengområde med bassengbar, og ikke minst meget vennlig og serviceinnstilt personale. Det er et stykke til det gamle sentrum, men slettes ikke uoverkommelig. Dette hotellet kan virkelig anbefales.

Fantastisk beliggende hotel i Palma, med direkte udsyn over lystbådehavn. Fantastisk reception/hall område og fitness center specielt godt. Intet negativt var at opleve.

Meget bra opphold ,god service, hyggelige og hjelpsom betjening på hotellet. Fantastisk utsikt i mot havnen og Palma by. Topp sjøpromenade for jogging /sykling og turgåing. Noe slitt innredning, men meget rent og og velholdt .

Bra läge och fantastisk frukost!

Hadde valgt et rom med praktfull utsikt over havnen og borgen. Helt fantastisk. Eneste ankepunkt mot dette hotellet, er overfullt bassengområde og reserverte, tomme solsenger. Dette bør de ta tak i. For øvrig er hotellet perfekt.
