Wonderful hotel with fabulous views across the harbour to Palma Cathederal. Hotel service was first rate and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and elegant. Bar prices are a bit steep, but what do you expect in a 5 star hotel. Would definately recommend this hotel and would finances permitting stay here in the future.

Old school hotel, all a bit dated but spotless.Neighborhood not great although it overlooks the harbor which is nice, about a 25-30 minute walk to the old town where all the decent night life is. Also as in most hotels in Spain you get 2 single beds instead of a double, they push them together if you ask for a double. Be careful if offered room 1060 or on that row as the terrace above has people dragging chairs over your ceiling in the evening and , in the early morning , the hotel staff do the dragging while setting up breakfast so are going to be wakened early !! I will return but not this floor !!

This hotel has many plus points and a couple of disappointing aspects that I will mention below. The hotel's exterior is well maintained with a partial wall mounted fountain and a clean and crisp reception area. The reception staff are attentive and check-in formalities were completed with ease and efficiency. The room itself was well appointed and […] had all the amenities one would expect of a 5* hotel room. The bathrooms looked like they had been recently grouted so had no stains or marks. However, the Deluxe Partial Sea View rooms do look over Tito's nightclub which is a dark stained and slightly tumbledown building, but this is not the hotel's fault. Breakfast consists of a choice of bread and cold cuts along with various cereals alongside a hot option of beans, eggs etc. There is a live counter at which one can order egg dishes such as pancakes and omlettes. Overall I would give the breakfast a thumbs up. It also continues till 10.30am which is handy if one does not feel like rising at the crack of dawn. The pool area is clean and tidy with a recently laid wood effect flooring which is non-slip and very clean. The salt water pool is refreshing and at a lovely temperature. The attendants are lovely and very helpful. Unfortunately, this hotel does not have what I would call a functioning gymnasium. They have got a treadmill, a sub-standard cross-trainer machine and a very poorly maintained and rusty multi-gym machine. The multi-gym is a joke and is jammed so is particularly useless. The other problem is that the 'gym' is outdoors next to the pool area and so really only useful after the pool has closed for the day. The sauna and indoor pool are both further sources of despair. They are unfortunately housed in a large chamber that is characterless and a little to humid. The sauna is very small and has an oversized heater that render the tiny space useless as the heat rises too quickly. The overall feel of the sauna area is tacky and cheap. Classic spanish hotel with just a 10 min walk along the harbour into the old town in Palma. Beautiful rooms and the friendliest staff I have met in a long time.

The public and reception areas of the Gran Melia Victoria are huge, well-furnished in excellent taste, in fact, equal to the best that I have encountered anywhere in the world. The breakfast that it serves (at extra cost) is also superb by any standards. Its various rooms are large and also excellent, obviously with those facing the sea having superior […] views by far. Lovely, classic 5-star hotel. Very serviceminded and pleasant personnel.

They told us they wouldn't upgrade unless I paid. No manager at night to complain nor housekeeping employees in a 5 star hotel!, housekeeping forgot to join our beds and couldn't do much for the night. We stayed for 5 nights in September 2010. We had a standard room on the 3rd floor and were extremely surprised as this level of room would normally be executive or above. Lovely big modern and spotless bathroom, very large bed and even a walk in mirror attached to the wardrobes so you could see all sides(this can show things you perhaps don't want to […] see) We had read another reviews which warned of potential noise from a nearby club, we did not experience this buit perhaps that was because we were not on the ground floor. We came in late a couple of nights but can't say we noticed anything over the top considering you are in a large city.Had to pay for wi-fi connection but this was only a few Euros for 12 hours access. All areas were of the hotel were spotless and of a very high standard. Pool area was great with plenty of beds and attendants that brought out beach towels for you and made sure no one "reserved" sun beds.Fabulous view from the outside bar and restaurant area overlooking the Marina and Cathedral which was best viewed in the evening when lit up. Beware though the drinks were a bit pricy. Food was very good but again expensive but just down a few steps from the hotel was all the Marina facing restaurants and cafes. Bus into town was very cheap and stopped right outside the hotel. You can walk into the old town in about 20 mins along the marina front. Also the Airport Bus stops right outside as well (No 1) Underground car parking was very big and free, excellent. Great base to go out and explore with the many lovely mountain villagers only a 30 min drive away. Palma town itself is a delight with fabulous shopping, restaurants and bars. Staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a great experience. We will use this hotel again and combine it with a few days in one of the mountain villages as well. Can't wait. This is a nice hotel on the water, with a very good size pool and good service. Their restaurant is quite expensive though. There is a pianist who plays every night at the bar area, very pleasant and enjoyable. The location is convenient to sight seeing or going to the beach. The hotel main entrance is very grand, as is the reception and the bedrooms live up to the promised standard as you check in! The hotel food is top notch - although maybe a little pricey, but well worth the extra. The drinks though by the pool are extortionate for the size and we often bought soft drinks from the ice-cream bar on the port road or the […] supermarket behind and drunk them by the pool - and we were never challenged doing this. The staff are ultra attentive and very eager to please, often going above and beyond - especially the reception staff. Overall the hotel is an excellent location, close to all the bars and nightclubs (although you never hear any noise in your room at night), surrounded by lovely restaurants and has a great view of the port and fabulous yachts. You will struggle to find any other hotel comparabile in Palma with the Gran Melia Victoria for location, service and with all the excellent 5* ammentities. Continua a leggere

This hotel is furnished to a very high standard and offers a wide range of facilities. Breakfast was excellent but expensive. Rooms are very well equipped. Only drawback is being so close to the main road at the front.

Supposedly 5* Grand Luxe Hotel that has clearly seen better days. Ludicrously expensive and out of touch with what quality really is these days. Old, shabby in parts, dirty in parts (a blanket in our room was urine-stained!!!), poorly decorated in parts, noisy, under-equipped, antiquated, inefficient and quite dark and depressing! Our stay was short and for a quick relaxing holiday for which it was. Although the hotel caters for more older clientel the staff were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. We had a small problems with our room but when moved we were put in a most beautiful and spacious room - amazing. Will definately go again and would highly recommend […] it to family and friends. Vi hadde7 netter på hotellet i påsken. vi likte hotellet og servicen veldig godt. gode senger og flott ute område. kort vei til det meste. det eneste negative må være stive priser på frokost..

Spenderade 4 nätter tillsammans med sambo och 11-årig son på detta underbara hotell och detta är mitt absoluta favvo-hotell. Allt var toppklass. Personalen supertrevlig och hjälpsam. Vi bodde i ett vanligt classic-rum och det var stort och rymligt, badrummet likaså. Städningen sköttes perfekt. Sköna sängar, och det är inte så ofta man får det. Frukosten […] är absolut att rekommendera, det kostar lite extra, men den är värd det! Poolen är inte uppvärmd, så den var för kall för att bada i när vi var där (början av april), men det finns ju inomhuspool och den användes flitigt. Pool-killen var jättesnabbt framme med madrasser och handdukar när man valt ut sin solsäng. Alltid glad och trevlig. Vi kommer absolut att återvända till detta fenomenala hotell, väl värd sina 5 stjärnor! Continua a leggere

Vi besøgte hotellet i midten af februar. Pool området ser tiltagende ud, men af gode grunde, fik vi ikke mulighed for at bedømme det yderligt. Værelset er lækkert og hotellet tiltalende.

Vi tog Juniorsviten. Den var kalasbra. Trevlig personal!!

Boka ett rum med balkong och havsutsikt, annars får du ett uselt rum mot Placa Gomila, dåtidens usla svenska 60-tal. Toppenvänlig personal, god mat och "bra" priser".

Vi åkte 2 vuxna och ett barn på 11 år. Hotellet är ok, men jag skulle inte vilja säga att det är 5-stjärnigt, snarare ett svag 4-stjärnigt hotell. Personalet var de som höll måttet för 5-stjärnigt resten kändes tråkigt, konstigt och halv slitet. Gymmet var inget gym endast ett löpband, crosstrainer och en multi maskin beläget vid poolen. Poolområdet […] var ok men inte så mycket mer. De var bra på att ta betalt på hotellet, WiFi kostnade en bra slant, Coca colan kostade 45:- för 20cl osv! Utanför fanns bra restauranger utefter hela strandpromenaden. Discon fanns också med krypavstånd (besökte ej). Inget hotell vi åker tillbaka till. Continua a leggere

wunderschöne Poolanlage

Lage, Lage, Lage....Traumhafter Blick auf den Hafen und die Stadt, sehr freundlicher Service (mehrsprachig). Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten direkt am Haus.

Servicio muy amable. Habitación bien. Restaurante demasiado pequeño para el hotel pues en el grande había una boda. Tuvimos que cenar en el bar frente a la tele que no es lo que te apetece de un cinco estrellas.

Det eneste vi har å utsette på hotellets faciliteter er SPA avdelingen, det er mye støy fra barn som leker i og rundt det innendørsbassenget og det ser ikke bra ut i rommene rundt heller . Men massøren er meget bra og prøver å gjøre det hyggelig rundt seg!

Vi tilbrakte en super langhelg på dette hotellet i mai 2011 og kan absolutt anbefale hotellet videre! Kjempehyggelig personale og flott hotell. Vi fikk rom i øverste etasje med flott utsikt over marinaen og inn til Palma by og katedralen. Fikk også benyttet oss av bassenget + massasje som tilbys der. Vi har boet på mange hoteller i Palma, og dette er det bedst beligende 5* "city" hotel i Palma. Et helt igennem lækker hptel med venlig og god service. Vores anbefaling skal tages ud fra vi altid boer på 5* hoteller.

Perfectly comfortable hoel for staying for the holidays.

Tracto muy correcto por parte de todos los empleados y el desayuno buffét recomendable, aunque faltaba el tipico english breakfast.

Serdeles bra hotellopplevelse. Meget høy standard på rom og fasilteter, og hjelpsomt og effektivt personell. Gunstig beliggende i forhold til sentrum, attraksjoner, restauranter og hovedfartsårer. Meget gode parkeringsmuligheter. Anbefales!

We are a Norwegian couple, aged 30, who stayed at Gran Melia Victoria for six nights in September 2010. We decided to book our room based on recommendations at hotels.com and tripadvisor.com. We went for the cheepest room, without breakfast, and got a room facing the street/hill, not the harbour. But the room was splendid anyhow, so we did not make […] use of the upsell-offer we received upon arrival. Except from the room, the pool-area (which was excellent!) and the garage (free parking - nice if you rent a car) we did not use the hotell facilities or service much. Förväntningarna var inte särskilt höga då bilderna på hotellet inte gör hotellet rättvisa. Ge hotellet en chans, bilderna är väldigt gamla och dåligt tagna. Vi var supernöjda när vi väl kom dit! Hotellet har funnits länge och är väldigt välpolerat, putsat och rent. Lyxigt anrikt som ett Grand Hotell. Vårt rum var ett standardrum med utsikt inåt entrén […] och upp mot bergen. Vilket var helt ok trots att det inte var ut mot havet. Standardummet vi hade var extremt prisvärt! Stort och rymligt och det städades tre gånger om dagen. Poolområdet var fantastiskt! Jättefina och bekväma solsängar, goda luncher, superbra service, saltvattenspool, lugnt. Man kunde ligga under tak, under gallertak (med halvsoligt läge) eller bara rakt under solen. Finns tillgång till massage också, väldigt härligt. Gymmet består av ett löpband, en "elliptical trainer"-maskin och en vajermaskin. Vi valde att äta frukost på ett av alla närbelägna caféer istället för på hotellet. Hotellets läge är kanon! Ligger precis vid "Paseo Maritim" som är Palmas långa strand/hamnpromenad som går in till centrum. Längs hela vägen finns caféer, restauranger och barer av alla möjliga slag. Det finns superfina cykelvägar rakt igenom och en bit ut ur Palma och många ställen att hyra cyklar. Hotellet har ett avtal med en av cykeluthyrarna. Att gå in till centrum tar ca 15-20 minuter. På andra sidan hotellet (vid huvudingången) finns ett litet supermercado (närlivs) och ett apotek. Vi var jättenöjda med vår vistelse här och servicen var enormt bra! En meget stilig og klassisk hotell med svært god beliggenhet ved havnepromonaden i Palma. Super forkostbuffet, flott bassengområde (saltvannsbasseng), og bra rom. Men, litt "rar" lukt i gangene (fuktighet, gammelt bygg?).

To ord er dekkende; Meget Bra!!!

Hotellets placering var vigtig for os, og vi var tilfredse med den dejlige udsigt med frisk luft og mindre stoej fra gaden. Nemt at finde rundt i byen fra. Rent og paent hotel, der lever op til de fem stjerner.

Gran Melia är ett prisvärt hotell med bra läge och fantastiskt bra frukostbuffé. Rummen var rymmliga och inredda i gammal stil som hela hotellet. Gillar man medaljongtapeter, heltäckningsmattor, guld- och mässingdetaljer, möbler i barockstil kommer man att gilla detta hotell. Det hade sin charm men vi tyckte det var något bedagat. Poolområdet var fräscht […] men det gymmet de hade kan man inte kalla gym. endast tre stycken nautilusmaskiner brevid poolen. Continua a leggere
