il posto dove e' situato e' molto bello e merita una visita. pero' penso che ha bisogno di essere rinnovato bene. il servizio , se si esclude la pur buona disponibilita' del personale, e' stato pessimo. poca varieta' di cibo e il poco di pessima qualita'. una sera che non riuscivo a gradire queelo esposto ho chiesto della frutta,che mancava e che tuttavia […] sono riuscito ad ottenere dopo aver atteso per una ora circa . manca di servizio alla spiaggia e scarseggiavano sempre le tovaglie da spiaggia. nella camera pure mancavano sempre asciugamani puliti . son riuscito ad ottenere il telecomando della tv solo dopo 2 giorni. It's a good deal in Sosua, relatively cheap and in a safe and lively area at night (though dominated by prostitution or however you may prefer to call it...). we only had breakfast, which was just decent, but heard that food is pretty bad

Pleasant. The view is spectacular. If you like dominican typical food , it is good. You need a reservation for The restaurant with a la carte menú, the issue is that you need to make a reservation between 9;30am and 11:30am.. Impossible to do on date of arrival since check in is at 3pm. Do not accept no as an answer - speak with the captain of the restaurant […] and insist. I did it and enjoyed the seabass entree. The staff where very cheerful and helpful. They made us feel at home away from home. Always smiling and humorous. Best trip we had in years.

Two days of a four night stay, our room was not serviced (trash removed, bed made, fresh towels). The other problem is that there was no cable in the entire resort, so nobody was able to watch television!

Thanks to me it was only 2 nights . The only positive about this resort is the gorgeous view!!! I mean it. The key didnt work, the phone wire was ripped off, there were no light bulbs in the lights so we were in the dark at night even after I complained at the front desk. Service is great, but the hotel itself should and will need a very quality of management it is the only thing bad about it everything else I was very pleased as the group I went to(9 in total)

My son and I arrived there as planned on March 1. Westjet provided an excellent flight to Puerto Plata. Took a taxi to the hotel(1000 Pesos or $25. CDN). Arrived at hotel and they had our reservation ready. They gave us wrist bands for the all-inclusive...yes and drinks included. Had paid a very reasonable price and was fully expecting some other hidden […] charges...but there were none. The food was quite satisfactory and the rooms were clean but not fancy. The staff were friendly. Took public transportation to Kite Beach to take up Kite Surfing. 50 pesos gets you there. You'll be one of up to 24 passengers in a 12 passenger mini-bus. This hotel for the money was good. Staff was great! Food was, okay. For example if lunch starts at 2 and you don't get there at 2 they don't make more food. So if you were to get there at 3:30 theres little, if not any food left for you to eat. I would say that 85% of the time the chef wasn't there so no food was available. They also have "alternative attractions" such as a gym/night club etc that they didn't tell us about and we didn't realize until the last few days! They also had different shows for entertainment that seemed like no one knew about. I would say the bar is the best part about this resort, they don't seem to skimp on the liquor at all. You will have a great time if you go there, without having high expectations. If you have low expectations, then everything will be fine. Roomsvoutdated & not very clean. Towel service is horrible the place needs more/new towels. Food is not the best. For the price guess you can't ask for much. Great staff, pool area & security.

With all the bad reviews that this hotel had received I was very worried what to expect. Luckily we were pleasantly surprised. It's not a hotel for party people or those looking for a hotel with a big variety of things to do. This hotel is pretty much a place to eat, drink, sleep and go to the beach/pool. There is not much amination at the hotel but […] with the little amount of staff that they do have we were still entertained. The staff is very friendly and accomodating and the area is a great tourist area with much to do if you don't mind leaving the hotel. The room was not in the best condition but not really much to complain about as long as the room was cleaned and the beds were made. The beach that they have access to is a little uncomfortable to get to but once you're they're it's beautiful. The water is crystal clear. The best part of the trip was the friendliness of the guests. Once you're there for a few days and start seeing the same people we felt like family. Continua a leggere

had a wonderful experience while i sasua bay resort. staff always courteous and helpful. english was better than i expected being in a spanish speaking country. I definately plan on returning next year if not this summer. location is the best. grilled fish and chicken is what i recommend at meals. definately no watered down drinks here. awesome.

The resort is really a hotel perched on the rocks to the side of the beach looking at the bay. Great access to the beach and town. We loved our room that had a balcony nearly hanging over the water and had a fantastic view across the bay. It is an all inclusive so the food was adequate but not fantastic as should be expected. Great location, but unfortunately the service and quality of the food is sub-standard.

I wangted to enjoy the experience of a great hotel at a bargain price. Sosua Bay was just what the doctor ordered. it was clean, fun and had everything one would need to have an awesome time in the sunny Dominican Republic. the Casino was across the street as was the state of the art Gym. id do it again in a heartbeat.

I enjoyed our stay in January 2012. Landscape is really well taken care of. I wouldn't suggest this hotel to people having difficulty walking to due lots of level. For others this is a view of Sosua beach that no other hotel can offer. 3 RD FLOOR, OCEAN VIEW! Seems though a lack of enthusiasm from employees.

The food was great. You had choices and could have them prepare what you want how you want in front of you. The staff was good very accomadating. Location great right on thwe beach and there are 2 beautiful pools. I wish I could live there year round

Anyone who gives this place a great review has never been to a quality all incusive. The service was OK. The food was just eatable. The drinks were disgusting. But the view was amazing. I had tons of fun. The view with the sun dancing on the sea is amazing and worth the money alone. Great food and friendly service made it a great time. Highly recommended

For an extremely reasonable 14 day rate, I enjoyed a relaxing time in the sun. This all inclusive resort is located over coral cliffs and a crystal clear bay with 1/2 mile beach. So, be prepared for the exercise of climbing stairs to reach 4 different levels where the rooms, amenities and pools with patio chaise lounges are accessed. The buffet, snack bar and a-la-carte restaurants provided satisfying choices, during conveniently scheduled times. The waiters and housekeeping staff were attentive and gracious,. -was the cheapest listed on the site I searched -main drawback is no internet in rooms, only in lobby -guests also get free use of well equipped gym across the street -very close to beach and main action packed street in sosua

I was trying to give this hotel the benefit of the doubt...however, you absolutely get what you pay for. I don't know why but the cleaning staff had a very difficult time remembering to provide clean towels and beverages in our refrigerator on a daily basis. The wi-fi was limited to one tiny location in the entire resort. My room key would constantly […] demagnitize. I was cut-off drinking one day even though this was considered all-inclusive. Some of the members at the front desk were so rude & unaccommodating. Even though they boast about having multiple restaurants, you can't even go to the one because the reservations fill up so quickly and you get one chance per day to try and make reservations. I have stayed at this resort 5 times over the past 4 years. this time was by far the worst. It appears the resort is on the hands of new management, as stated by the front desk. The service was bad. The food was discusting. I paid for the all inclusive and extra for a room with a view. I was put in a back building that if you leaned over the balcony […] rail, I could see some water. It appears that they have fired the former head chief and hired people off the street to cook. The food was clearly being reused for every meal. An example is for dinner we had a pork leg. The next day for lunch the main meat was pork chops made from the leftover pork leg. Then for dinner the next night it was the same pork chops cover in gravy or salsa. The did have a person frying on a cook top chicken or fish and a pasta station, however the sauces.were canned. They were no where close to a resort quality buffet, even on the low end. I was scheduled for 5 nights and left after the 3rd. Even for the low prices I would not recommend this resort unless some changes are made to improve the quality. it does have the best location in relation to the beach. Continua a leggere

If your looking for an inexpensive place with a nice pool, good drinks, and great service you should consider this place. (If you have no class and never learned any basic manners, just stay home.) I met all the same people who talk smack on this place. They are the same people who treat the staff like subhuman slaves and repeat their exploits from […] the night before, in front of the young girls serving them. They don't bother to say por favor (or even please) when asking for a drink, nor do they offer Gracias (or even Thank you) I found the staff to friendly and responsive. The food was more than adequte, considering the price we were all paying to stay at the resort. The beer and drinks were cold and prepared with good alchohol and the wine was better than any I have been served in much nicer, much more expensive resorts. I have two complains and the first one is that there is no internet in the rooms. The only internet is in the lobby area and is very poor. The second complain is the reception staff have no courtesy.

I have to say overall I enjoyed being back in Sosua and the hotel is located perfectly in the middle of it all. However they advertise the a la carte restaurants and they were NEVER opened. We stayed three nights and were constantly told it was closed today but will be open tomorrow. When I suggested making a reseravation for tomorrow right now I was […] told I had to come back the following day. That cycle repeated itself everytime. The buffet was good for an AI but wanted to try different things of course. In addition they advertise a partner resort in Cabarete with free shuttle service... Not at all the case. I asked and was told that was planned but it is not happening. Then there were the issues in my room: TV NEVER worked, Phone NEVER worked !!! I of course complained everyday and was told someone would be there to take care of it. NEVER HAPPENED. I had fun because I know how to have fun and do the things I enjoy. The hotels staff at the front desk are just full of crap. The other staff like waiters, servers, the activity staff and especially the bar staff at the beach bar were excellent. Traveled throughout the Caribbean on this trip. This was the worst hotel experience. The staff was completely unresponsive. They lost our reservation, the room was filthy (we woke with bug bites), very few room amenities, and the staff seemed more interested in carrying on personal conversation than tending to business. After a difficult check in since they didn't have in there system that i pay for oceanview, things were really smooth. No mayor complains. I will recommend the hotel, the hotel is pretty and the view is excellent. No too many activities inside the hotel but they are close enough.

This hotel could use some major updating. The view of the bay is spectacular, but that's about the only thing. Our bathroom was disgusting, did not look clean at all; very old and the towels could use some updating, many riped and terribly worn. Toilet was blocked, tub was also blocked, ac was very noisy, and we ran out of water twice while in the shower. […] Had to towel dry the soap off our bodies. The breakfast...not too inviting, very little selection, i've had better. No direct access to the beach from your hotel. However, the public beach is beautiful, friendly locals. I spent two days at this wonderfull - The Sosua Bay Hotel located in "El Batey" neighborhood. Beautifull Victorian look hotel. Great rates online and delivered as promised. with full buffet breakfast. For a few dollars more you will get ALL INCLUSIVE service. A beautifull look to the ocean in front of it. HORRIBLE!!! I never write reviews but i would hate for someone to go to this resort expecting a good time. The DRINKS WERE WATER!! they didnt even have Presidente beer(the national beer ) available . i wen tto thepaying bar(although i was all inclusive) because i was desperate and I couldnt even buy a good drink . they had none , no tequila or johnny […] walker or hennessy. what the heck is this? the staff was 80% rude some nice ones and teh bathroom in my rom was dirty. it is a very nice resort but be care full when booking on line cause it may say all inclusive and is not and they are going to ask you for more money in the resort but other wise the place is beautiful.

Sen städning av rummet 17- 18-tiden, innan den helt upphörde. Ingen TV Det gick inte att ringa från hotellet, eller till hotellet måste köpa telefonkort. Solstolar vid stranden upphörde att ingå. Inga badhanddukar slutade att ingå. Resturangen som vi beställt mat på hade stängt, som skulle ingå på kvällen. 部屋のコーディネートがとてもセンスが良くシンプルで落ち着いていたのでゆっくり休むことができました。ジャグジーも三つもありよかったです。 ただひとつ残念なのはバーで出されるお酒の質があまりにも悪く普通に飲めたのはビールだけでした。食事は種類は少ないですが、おいしかったです。地中海レストランを予約しましたが、とても素晴らしかったです。
