Posizione strepitosa: Ocean drive e 8^ St. Dimensioni: la mini suite era grande e ben arredata, il letto comodissimo. Il bagno piccolo. Silenziosissimo. Viene applicata una quota aggiuntiva di 25$ al giorno per il caffè con i biscotti, il telo mare e le mele (mai viste). Qesta era l'unica nota stonata, altrimenti perfetto!

Ottima soluzione, praticamente una casa tutta mia a disposizione. Ben arredata, addirittura due schermi al plasma (uno nel salone ed uno in camera da letto). Bellissima cucina. Bagno comodo. Posizione eccellente. Personale disponibile, e tra l'altro anche molto simpatico. C'è una colazione molto semplice a disposizione dei clienti (caffè, latte e biscotti […] al cioccolato) che per noi italiani è ottima e anche comoda, visto che basta scendere al piano terra per prendere ciò che si vuole e tornarsene in casa per fare colazione. Il Casa Grande Hotel è proprio su Ocean Drive, in una posizione più che ottima per visitare l'Art Decò District, fare shopping, andare in spiaggia e fare la vita notturna... L'hotel esternamente è in stile coloniale, restaurato di recente, mentre le parti comuni sono in uno stilemoderno e tendente al new age. La camera era molto grande, curata, pulita […] e ben attrezzata: una sorta di bilocale. Il soggiorno molto ampio aveva anche un angolo cottura attrezzato con tutto il necessario, la camera era comoda e silenziosa e il bagno molto elegante e rifinito anche se senza finestra. Personale assolutamente cortese e disponibile, anche il giorno del check-out ci hanno fornito i teli mare. This place is horrible. The building is very old, not maintained at all, the carpeting has not been changed for decades, Smells very bad (should keep your socks and shows all time), the tiles on bathroom walls were falling in the room we were staying, Door frame rusted, and the room next door to us was either recording or dance studio. There were 24 […] hour music, and at times I saw up to 12 people coming out and going into the room at different time of the day and night. Service quality on a scale of one to ten was zero. Awful. paid for oceanfront suite and was told I didn't book that room. No way to confirm because of third party booking through Hotels.com. Even with documentation. Total lie. Meanwhile, major renovations were happening on their oceanfront suites. Never again!

Upon arrival..the front desk clerk was rude..but did allow for early checkin. We ask for an upgrade since the hotel was not full..instead we got a lovely decorated room with beautiful appliances and a view of a wall with two birds sitting trying to escape the rain. I travel a lot... like four times a year. This was the first place I have ever stayed that had me calling a real estate agent the next day!! It runs more like a bed and breakfast (without the breakfast!) than a hotel. They have fresh coffee and cookies in the morning. Every person I dealt with that worked at the hotel were super accommodating, friendly […] and seemed to really care. The room was so spacious, we called it our apartment! The location doesn't get any better than this... smack in the middle of the action. There is a liquor store and groceries around the corner, within a five minute walk. The only advice I have is to make your own drinks in the hotel, bring your own to go cups. Drinks are super large and expensive at the restaurants, and it is legal to walk on the street with your drinks so you dont need to spend all that money on booze. Continua a leggere

It's Miami Beach, be prepared to pay more for everything here. Go a few blocks to the west and prices are better and the crowds are less. Hotel is older but kept in descent shape. I've paid more and paid less for hotel, in this case it is what it is. There is a $25 fee at the hotel. Parking is a few blocks away for $25 a day.

The room was really big with a galley kitchen and a sitting area. The sheets were too small for the king size bed. The bathroom was old school with the best shower head and water pressure. We stayed in this hotel Jan. 2 and 3, 2013 and were extremely disappointed. I read previous reviews and the hotel was rated quite high, but that was not our experience. Just prior to this, we stayed at the Best Western Premier and Holiday Inn Express , which were both excellent. We were on a budget holiday. The Casa Grande suite (we upgraded, or so […] we thought) was an old one bedroom apartment much like one I rented 30 years ago when I was in college. It was dirty, with dirty grout in the bathroom, dirty windows and lumpy bed. I think the hotel may be made up of two adjoining buildings, one with an orange tile roof and yellow awnings, like you see in all the pictures, and the hole next door! (I'm not sure.) One of two of the staff members was really negative. It was clear he wasn't happy to be there and was not friendly at all. In fact, when we learned there was a $25/day hidden "resort fee" for coffee (no milk, just crappy creamer, crappy cookies, oranges and beach towels/chairs," I asked about the chairs (seemingly the only valuable thing offered) and […] he replied to me that they were "lousy," which they were. A poor and perplexing experience overall. We had inspected this hotel two years ago in anticipation of possibly staying here in the future. Upon arrival, we found a hotel in much poorer condition than we had observed in the past. To wit: * All employees were rude, curt and seemed stressed; * One desk clerk confirmed that we had an oceanfront, however […] the one who actually checked us in said we had two doubles without a view, and that Expedia details are NEVER confirmed until check in (we eventually "were upgraded" for free but told to book directly with the hotel in the future); * The room we got, 204, had a direct-ocean view through two tiny windows but the windows were screwed shut; * The "resort fee" of $25 (which was "taxable" up to $28.25) should not have applied as the previously observed spa facility was nowhere to be found (and the desk clerk said she knew nothing about a spa); * A creepy housekeeping employee approached the front desk while we were checking in and inquired of us, curtly, "are you done???" and asked us to step aside so he could flirt with the desk clerk; * Most alarmingly, the front doors, which open directly onto the debauchery of Ocean Drive, were not locked at all between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m., despite a sign indicating otherwise. I was a bit surprised of the $25 daily charge for towels and coffee on top of the 28 daily charge for valet. These 2 charges were not optional. I would have preferred that these fees would be listed when requesting a reservation, this way you can compare apples to apples when shopping around for a hotel.

1--Location: AWESOME. Across the street from the beach! 2--Parking. A little confusing. Guy out front for valet parking has a cheaper rate for you if you pay in cash. 3--Accommodations--decent. A little sparse. Not a "wow" but definitely clean.

The hotel was a good value. The water pressure in the shower was terrific, but the bed was very hard. Also, a $25/day resort fee is ridiculous - there is no resort!. The fee is for cookies, coffee and pool towels, none of which I used. The staff was very friendly. Finally, the WiFi was spotty at best and unavailable at times.

This hotel is actually individually owned condo units that are rented out to travelers via one central booking authority. The authority provides the upkeep etc. While it is nice to have a spacious "apartment" type place to stay in, it lacks the "hotel" experience. I have stayed here two times before but it will probably be the last. The room was very tired and out of date. There was no hairdryer because it was broke off of the wall. When I asked for one they were less than anxious to accomodate me and said that they would see if they could locate one. I ultimately had to track a "maid" down to get one. The floor […] felt like a sponge in the bedroom as it had the laminate flooring that pinched your feet between the boards when you walked. The pillows were small and flat. The man at the reception area greeted us with the most unfriendly greeting I have ever had in all my years. This hotel was so disappointing! You need new pictures. The furniture was awful the couch in the living room fell in when you sat on it. There was not 1 single picture on any of the walls the bathroom was dirty and we had to put up a $150. Deposit not sure why since there was absolutely nothing to take from the room! We would recommend this hotel based on location only. The view from the window was amazing but the rest of the experience left much to be desired. Next time we come to Miami we would stay elsewhere now that we have seen the view once. The couch was so filthy we didn't sit on it. It had a white sheet covering the majority of the dirt and stains but overall […] was gross. We pulled the dining room chairs over to the window and sat on them while in the suite portion of the room. The resort fee of $25 per room is unreasonable. It apparently covers beach towels and internet (and coffee and an orange in the lobby). Oranges were non existent, coffee was empty, internet was incredibly slow and sporadic. Can't comment on the beach towels as we brought our own. Staff were OK but not overly enthusiastic to make you feel welcome. Local restaurants, night life, beach access were all great. My recommendation to the hotel would be do invest in the furnishings and ensure a clean room. This would greatly impact the overall rating. Continua a leggere

if you want south beach, this place is in the middle of the action. walk out of your hotel to sidewalk restaurants or across Ocean Drive to the fabulous beach. I think that additional fees should be disclosed upfront to all who wants to stay at the hotel. When I paid for the hotel through hotels.com it was clearly mentioned that all taxes and fees paid, however, when I got to the hotel, I was informed that there was an additional $25/night resort fee. Why wouldn't this fee be disclosed upfront when I was booking […] it and why wasn't the option to pay for it given at that point?! Also, the deposit of $100/night is charged which I think is outrageous. Otherwise, the hotel was nice, rooms were clean. I think the location is one of the best. This Hotel is very expensive and bear in mind that you have to pay $25/day as Resort Fee and $25/day for Parking in addition to what you pay as hotel charges...Also bear in mind that you to pay $50/Day/Person if you are more than 2 persons staying in the Hotels.. This overall makes it very expensive....only plus point is the location which is right […] amidst all the happenings in South Beach... Funky hotel! Bathroom looks like something out of the 60's. Spacious with comfortable beds. The $25 resort fee is bogus and should be removed. Supposedly this covers oranges, cookies, and beachtowels. We ate two oranges and two cookies for which we paid $50. Come on! Having said that, the staff is pleasant and responsive to problems. Best location if u want to be on Ocean drive street ,very close to the beach . You room will be above the resturatnts and the pubs there , it's not neccary disturb to sleep - we couldn't hear the noise from the bedroom . my opinion - Lincolin Ave is more fun than Ocean drive , it's very nice place to walk with great atmosphire , clean and not old as […] ocean drive ... and with younger population (Ocean look old with older population with old fashion entertainment) The stuff are really nice and willing to assist any time. The price we pay was very good price compare to other hotels on oceon drive and we were so happy we didn't choose other hoterl cause they are all really old and really overpriced compare the price we pay. The room: our rooom was really big with almost real home kitchen with all the accessories - we didn't use the kitchen to cook but for the ones who does it can be perfect . for the room size , we got suite which told us it's the honeymoon upgrade from the manager but i think all the room are suite in this huge size and the upgrade was just for the location of the room(face to oceon drive ). The resort fee for 25$ is something the hotel MUST change it's high and it's not justify paying for each day there another 25$ (before tax!!) for beach fee and cookies near the front desk.
