Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 4 ott 2012Abbiamo scelto di soggiornare in questo hotel 1 notte perchè era il più economico vicino all' aereporto ma per raggiungere l'hotel bisogna mettere in conto il taxi 18 sterline a/r. Hotel è situato in una zona di campagna tranquilla, camera e bagno spaziosi puliti.

Gli aspetti migliorabili sono legati al bagno, che aveva alcuni problemi idraulici (vasca che perdeva e gocciolava e sciacquone con tempi lunghi per il riempimento) e all'assenza di Internet gratuito in stanza.

Inviato da Maura T. di "Italia" il 3 giu 2011Piccolo hotel situato in un quartiere residenziale a circa 10 minuti a piedi dal centro di Cambridge, vicino ad un piccolo supermercato fornito. la stanza era abbastanza spaziosa ma il bagno (con doccia) era decisamente piccolo. La camera è fornita di: bollitore con caffe/the a volontà,TV ldc e telefono in camera. Guardate nei cassetti perchè c'è anche l'asciugacapelli. Se devo riportare una pecca: manca il frigo. Il trattamento con prima colazione prevede una scelta tra 3 menu di colazione (inglese, continentale, vegetariana) ma il personale è molto gentile e disponibile a venire incontro a tutte le esigenze. Nel complesso il mio giudizio è positivo.

We only stayed one night but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Don't go for the express breakfast but the buffet looked comprehensive and otherwise everything was great. Would definitely stay again if coming back to Cambridge.Recensioni obiettive Hotels.com

We have often stayed at this hotel.The car parking is free.The hotel is within easy walking distance of the city centre. There is always a warm welcome and the breakfasts are enjoyable. "Pretty good but expensive"
Stayed at the Gonville with my wife for one night. Good location for the city centre and easy parking. Staff courteous and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable if somewhat lacking in character and quite expensive. Very suitable for a business trip when you just need a comfortable bed for the night. "Nice hotel, but not much flexibility."
I chose the Gonville as one of two reccomended Hotels for my Wedding guests to stay in as it is well located and the price was comparable to other Cambridge hotels. The rooms were nice, although I had a road-facing one, which was noisy as the traffic ran through the night. Where I was most dissapointed was with the lack of flexibility from the staff […] in trying to accomodate for my guests. The other hotel I reccomended offered a reduced rate & early check in, availiable right until the date of stay. The Gonville would only hold a handful rooms at the rack rate. Moreover, when I asked if there was a possibility that guests could check in early, there was a flat "no", with no room for negotiating even just half an hour on the time. Considering there were around 25 guests staying there, most for 2 nights, I was dissapointed that the Hotel were not willing to offer to be more helpful. "Reasonable hotel"
The hotel is in a very good location and offers free parking and internet. Perhaps a bit overpriced for what it is. Only quibbles - they evidently use air freshener, and there was quite a noisy air conditioning unit near the room - although you wouldn't notice it if you closed the window. "Thoroughly enjoyable stay"
We had a wonderful stay at the Gonville. The location is within walking distance of many of central Cambridge's restaurants, pubs, and points of interest. The rooms are clean. We found the beds extremely comfortable. The staff are very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed the food. They serve some good traditional English grub here: steak and kidney […] pudding, kippers, yum!
