"Loved my stay there: first time traveling to Rome"
I was scared being a young single female that didn’t speak the language or know anything. This is a cute hotel that is very Italian: It had an open window that lets one stick their head out & watch the street: amazing feeling. It is located 1 block away from spanish steps & 2 blocks from shopping road. Great/safe location. The staffs were very helpful: […] gave map, signed me up with tour, and even took out my necklace that I accidently managed to drop down the sink pipe. Very prompt and helpful, I would stay there over & over. Only negative side is the hallway carpet looks dirty but the rooms are cute. Continua a leggere
"Hotel Homs. Terrific location"
Extremely friendly and helpful service, especially from the reception staff. I stayed in a single room which was very small, but I did not to spend any waking hours there so that was fine. The shower room, on the other hand was a good size and very efficient. Excellent shower! Breakfast was extra and expensive. I would reccommend the hotel, but with […] a small room caveat. The room is very small, i expected more than a 4 star hotel. they did not have an iron i could use, they wanted me to order an iron service from a compny in Rome. After i argued a bit the manager agreed to iron my shirt. Not good for buisness travelers. they cahrge 5 Euro per hor for internet!

"Hotel Hom Can't Miss Hotel in Rome"
Our first time in Rome and didn't know what to expect. The location of the hotel is really great. Close to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain and a subway station to get you everywhere else. The staff was courteous and knew us immediately. Even the food at this hotel was great, but it's also on a street with several other fantastic places to eat 'til […] your heart's content. "Hotel Homs - Rome"
This is my fourth stay at this hotel. Just off the Via del Corso, it is walking distance to many sights - Trevi, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, etc. The rooms are very clean and the standard European size--small. I plan to stay again on my next visit.

"Awesome hotel, awesome location"
Hotel Homs is a nice, clean, modern boutique-style hotel in a prime location in Rome. It's steps away from the Spanish Steps (one of the most fashionable areas in Rome--think NYC's 5th avenue) and blocks from the Trevi Fountain. We quickly learned that Rome is a completely walk-able city and we were in the heart of it. The hotel is on a busy, well-lit […] street and we always felt safe walking there, even at night. And even though the streets below were always bustling, we never heard any noise when our windows were closed. From the moment my fiancee and I checked in, Francesca, at the front desk, took care of us; booking restaurant reservations, recommending tours, and making sure our stay was comfortable. Our room was pretty small, but cozy. There was a tiny entrance way and entire main room was taken up by the bed and 2 night stands. We were able to peek inside other rooms and noticed that ours was definitely one of the smaller ones without much storage space. We had to put our clothes in every little nook imaginable, and we stored our luggage under the bed, as there was no real closet, but we made due. The room was very nicely decorated with a very clean, bright, modern bathroom. The reason I didn't give cleanliness a "5" is because the shower had slight signs of age and what could have been small mold stains on the shower floor. The water pressure in the shower was great though! I also really didn't like that the entire bathroom sink was made of glass, which showed spots and messiness very easily. The room was cleaned every day though and never felt messy or dirty. The bed was large and very comfortable. There was a safe in the room, a fridge, and a flat screen TV. Since we didn't spend much time in the room, it was everything we needed. The hotel has all the modern amenities and a little cafe downstairs. Breakfast wasn't included, but we didn't miss it at all. "Hotel Homs - Nice Roman getaway spot."
The Hotel Homs was conveniently located 2 blocks from the Spanish Steps and about 4 to 5 blocks from the Trevi Fountain. In between those two locations was great shopping and sidewalk cafes and restaurants. The hotel itself is very clean. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom, while not incredibly large was well appointed and also […] very clean and modern. The staff was polite and attentive and spoke English very well. Overall, I really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Homs and would certainly return. Continua a leggere
"Good Location, Some Housekeeping Issues"
Nice location close to the Spanish Steps. We had some housekeeping issues. There were 3 people staying in the room, but the pull out bed was not made (no sheets or linens). This was actually also the case for the second night. When we went to the front desk though, they actually argued with us saying the pullout bed was already made.
"Hotel Homs - Great location, tiny rooms"
The room was so small, If I were more claustrophobic than I already am, it would have been a total nightmare. The bathroom was also crazy small and the showerhead wouldn't stay in its place so we had to either hold it in our hands or duck to get under it. The water temperature also fluctuated minute to minute, so the shower would go from freezing cold […] to scalding hot multiple times throughout the course of one shower. However, the location was perfect for walking to major sites, which was definitely the best part. The front desk was also a bit frosty to us, perhaps because we didn't speak Italian very well, but that's not an excuse for poor customer service. Continua a leggere
"Awful hotel NOT a four star"
How is this a four star hotel? Its barely 2 stars. Filthy, small rooms with appliances and fixtures that fall apart in your hands when you use them. Inadequate storage space, a hard, uncomfortable bed, filthy drapes, worn linens, and walls so thin you can hear the conversations in the hall.. Tiny elevator takes you to your floor, but even then, there […] is are ten stairs to get to your room. Great location, convenient to lots of restaurants and walking distance from the Steps, the Pantheon, Trevi, Fountain, etc, but thats the only good thing. WAY overpriced. This is NOT a four star hotel. You can do better. Special note of the weird internet....sold one hour at a time, and you have to go downstairs at the end of that hour to buy another hour and get a new sheet of paper with a new password and username. Ridiculous and a huge pain in the neck. Adjoining restaurant has an "American Breakfast" for thirty five euros...about fifty bucks at the current exchange rate. The most expensive restaurant on the street, and usually empty. The desk staff was friendly and helpful, but largely clueless when asked any questions. But they were the only silver lining in this old, shoddy, dark cloud of a hotel. Would love to know how they got that fourth star (or even the third one) Avoid avoid avoid. Continua a leggere
"NOT a 4 star hotel!"
This hotel is max 2 stars. No internet, no breakfast, no pool, nothing but a room (and even the room had broken counters and stuff).. Would not recommend this hotel!
"Great location, not so great rooms"
I would recommend this hotel to other travellers if location is the most important factor to them. The hotel is in a nice area within walking distance of all the major sites. However, we are experienced travellers and have never stayed in a hotel room as small as the one in Hotel Homs. We were staying in an executive double room. We were unable to open […] the wardrobe or mini bar doors fully and there was very little room for our suitcases to even stand. Perhaps this is the norm in Rome and if this is so, it's probably a good place to stay due to its location. Continua a leggere

"Hotel Homs was a hit!"
Perfect location - was happy with my stay at Hotel Homs!
"Hotel Homs - Great for a short tourist trip"
If you are staying in Rome only for a few days and want to be close to shopping and the sites, then Hotel Homs is a good choice. The location near Via Condotti and the metro is great. Room was a typical European hotel room - on the small side but perfectly functional and very clean and well maintained. The bathroom was pleasingly a good size. Hotel […] breakfast was very expensive at 20 euros, but there are plenty of good cafe options nearby. The hotel bar was also expensive, but once again lots of great alternatives nearby. Internet was disappointingly not free and inconvenient as only available in the lobby - if you have to pay then you should be able to have convenient wireless access in your room! Continua a leggere

"The Hotel Homs in Rome, Italy"
I had read several reviews of the hotel before I booked it and they all turned out to be true. I just had a single room that was tiny, but cut with nice furniture and everything I needed. The location is great and I was able to walk everywhere. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would recommend it and stay there again.

"Hotel Homs, perfect location in Roma"
Hotel Homs is perfectly located between the Piazza di Spagna, and the Patheon, Trevi Fopuntain, and Piazza Navona. You can walk along the Corso, and Via Condotti, the premier shopping section of Rome, is directly around the corner. The hotel has a small patio on the top floor, a champagne bar, and a very helpful staff. The rooms, albeit small by US […] standarts are comfortable and have great tiled bathrooms.Don't be afraid to ask for a better room, if you are not satisfied with your booking. We did and were upgraded to a larger room with a sitting area at no extra cost. Our traveling companions booked a suite, and had a huge rooftop terrace at their private disposal, fantastic. We have stayed at this hotel twice already and will stay here again when we vist Roma again. There are fantatstic cafe's along Via Della Vite, and you cannot ask for a better location if you like to explore on foot. (Why would you drive in Rome anyway!?) Continua a leggere
"Perfect Location"
The Hotel Homs is located just off the Via Del Corso, Its central location makes it possible to walk everywhere. As small Italian hotel, the rooms are, as you would expect, small, but clean and comfortable and the price is reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful, arranging for transportation and making recommendations. This is my second stay […] and plan to return when next in Rome. Continua a leggere
"Hotel Homs, Rome close to spanish steps"
We checked in late (at 10pm). We were sent to our room. It was extremely small, it hardly had room for our luggage (2 pieces). The room itself was very clean and the bathroom was nice as well. However, the air cond. was not working. They changed our room without a problem to a bigger room that should have been the standard room. It was much roomier. […] The air conditioning worked very well. The front desk was very helpful with questions we had. I would definitely stay there again. Continua a leggere
"Great hotel"
Very close to the Spanish steps and surrounded by amazing shopping. Also near a Metro which can easily get you to the Colesseum and Vatican. We walked to the Trevi Fountain and Pantheon. Great restaurants around and the lobby in the hotel was very happening. Drinks, apps and food served (though it was pricey). The room was spacious and nice. Very clean, […] air worked great, and bed was comfortable. Continua a leggere

This hotel is very well located near the Spanish Steps and all the shopping but I do not think that its 4 star hotel. At best its a 3 stars. This hotel, while the photos are nice, is older and atleast our room was not very nice. There were stains on the curtain, the shower was uncomfortable, room was right next to elevator (which was noisy). The hotel […] staff was very friendly and courteous. Continua a leggere

"great location hotel"
great location in the best part of Rome near shops and the Spanish Steps
"Tourist trap"
This has got to be the lowest possible standard for a 4 star hotel. At check in you almost felt as if you were bothering the staff by arriving. We were promised a parking possibility for our car as this was the whole purpose of living downtown Rome, but were told on arrival that this was impossible and that we were already eligible for a fine for taking […] the car downtown... I work in the travel industry, and regularly visit other Italian 4 star hotels, this one is way below the bar. Continua a leggere
"Hotel Homs Rome - close to the Spanish Steps"
The hotel was sited within a short walk of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain - once you have worked your way through the warren of small strrets. Its a bijou hotel and you soon get to recognise all the staff, and they you. All the staff were pleasant, with welcoming smiles, and those working in the restaurent kept their smiles even when working under […] severe pressure. The Vendabar always had locals in it, including the staff from the local shops, which is a good indicator if its good enough for the locals than tourists shouldnt be disappointed. It takes a little time to get orientated with so many local side roads, but once you have identified some regular landmarks it becomes quite easy to home in on the hotel after a busy day seeing the sites. The set breakfasts are not cheap but are generous and tasty. similarly if you decide to stay in for dinner, rather than venturing out to one of the numerous restaurents you wont be disappointed. My room / bathroom was kept spotless by the young lady who carried out the cleaning. As a single room I was somewhat disappointed by its small size, albeit for a short stay it sufficed. There was a television in the room but no coffee/tea making facilities. The bathroom was impressively clean and the cleaner should be awarded for maintaining such a high statndard. Continua a leggere
"Nice boutique hotel in a very convenient location."
Hotel was what I expected overall thanks mostly to the reviews and information I received from Hotels.com. Friendly and helpful staff, clean and functional rooms and amenities. Reservation was correct and no surprises. Arranged for private transportation to airport as requested (good service by the way). Internet access was good. Location hard to beat […] and I felt safe in the neighborhood. Room was of course typical for European rooms in that small to say the least. But, I knew that in advance and was not surprised. Only there for one night anyway. Will stay again. Continua a leggere
"Nothing special and very small room"
Location is great, that is one things this hotel had going for it. Other than that there is nothing special about the hotel. It is not bad but not that good either to ask premium. If you find it at a good rate it will be a good hotel to stay at since it is at the center of the city and you can walk everywhere from it.
"Excellent Location"
My only complaint would be that the rooms in this hotel are tiny but this wouldnt in itself put me of returning here as the hotel itself is in an excellent location, you really couldnt get any more central to everything.
"Can't Beat the Location!"
Hotel Homs was located in the best possible location - just around the corner from the Spanish Steps, within walking distance to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Via dei Condotti (shopping)...you could even walk to Vatican City. The closest metro/underground station is just to the left of the Spanish Steps. We found a restaurant called "Life" which was […] just down the street from the hotel, and it was our favorite - we went back 4 times! For the first 2 nights, the room we were in was very warm. The air conditioning didn't seem to work. The staff was very helpful and moved us into a much nicer suite with a much colder air conditioner. The staff was always willing to answer questions, provide suggestions, and direct us around the city. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat! Don't waste your money at the other hotels in the central areas. Hotel Homs is easy to get in and out of. P.S. Don't eat at any of the restaurants just outside the Pantheon - tried 'em all and nothing could beat "Life" on Via del Vite! Continua a leggere
"Great location for shopping!"
Hotel Homs was a great place to stay that was centrally located within the shopping district of Rome. My husband and and I traveled with another couple and were pleasantly surprised about the rooms! They were beautifully appointed with luxury drapes and furnishings, and the bathrooms were very big for European standards. Each night, we went to a local […] store, bought a bottle of wine and would sit in the front table area and have a drink before heading out for dinner. This was a great way to start the evening, I would recommend it to all, (saves a bit of money too). The only complaint I would have is that our two rooms were not near each other, even though having booked them together. We should have called ahead and requested this in advance. Other than that location, rooms and staff were all great!I would stay here again if Rome. Continua a leggere
"Needs Improvement"
Pros: The staff was pretty friendly and helpful, though we did not really tax them. The locationis great, just two blocks from the Spanish Steps. You could walk everywhere from the hotel. The hotel might be okay for a first timer, given its centrality, but there are probably better options. Cons: Lack of amenities. I asked for an iron, but they did […] not have one, but that an outside service was available. The room was tiny, but I suppose that's par for the course in most European hotels. The housekeeping service was not what it should have been for a four star hotel--the bathroom could have been cleaner. All in all, the hotel was okay, but I don't think I will stay there again. "Fine but Frosty"
This hotel is conveniently located just minutes away from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain, and pretty much every major landmark in Rome is in easy walking distance from the Via Della Vite (we stayed here for four nights, saw everything, and didn't use the metro or a bus once!) However, the reception desk is pretty brusque and frosty, and the cost […] of breakfast (not included in the room price) is astronomical and quite ludicrous (from 12 euros per person up to 30, depending on your menu - but luckily Bar Gambero down the road serves coffee and croissants for under 2 euro, so that cost can be easily avoided). The rooms themselves are fine, though they did feel, whilst not exactly cramped, at least like too much stuff had been crammed into the relatively small space. And the bathroom - though it LOOKED stunning - got soaked up pretty quickly by the shower's spray. All in all though, a great place to stay location-wise if you are planning to spend most of your time seeing the city and not the inside of your hotel room! Continua a leggere

"Nice hotel, very unfriendly staff"
The hotel was nice and in a good location but the majority of the staff was not friendly at all, very matter of fact, there were a few exceptions but not many.
"Fantastic Hotel"
This was the best hotel we stayed in on our 20 day trip to Italy. The staff was great, the location was perfect, and the room was great. It was very clean, and had a comforatble queen bed.(instead of two twins pushed together)
"Hotel in walking distance to many attractions."
The hotel in a great location, with all walking distances. We can walk to Vatican, to metro... we save quite a bits of money on taxi.If coming back will stay in this hotell again.
"Small but nice Hotel"
Hotel Homs is a small hotel near the Spanich Steps area, which is a good location. Rooms were small, but comfortable. Conceirge was helpful and friendly. Overall the price, and location were right, just the rooms were a little small. I would recommend this hotel for anyone going to Rome. FYI - if you ask the conceirge for a view of the streets, you'll […] get a better view than some of the rooms which overlook roofs of other buildings. Continua a leggere
