Claimed they had internet service but it was very spotty Otherwise reasonable.

New interior, fast wifi with reasonable price. Also, breakfast is good. Bunch of small gallaries nearby made me hard to stay at the hotel room.

Although the hotel room was TINY (as are most hotel rooms in Paris), it was a great stay that provided a welcome rest from a long day of traveling. It is only a about a quarter mile from the Metro stop so the walk is not very far. The people at the hotel were extremely helpful and nice. The hotel reception is being redone right now, so do not be surprised to see a mess downstairs. However, the room (mine was on the top floor) are very clean and provide a good level of comfort. Yes the room is small but this is the case for every hotel around Le Marais. I would recommend it.

Hotel in a good area for sight seeing, Staff obliging and speak English. Car parking impossible, but there is a secured park close by. It is expensive at Euro38 per 24 hours though. Hotel renovations current as of end Sept 2011 in the entry foyer. Wifi only available in that area. Would recommend.

This was one of the best hotels I have stayed at world-wide. I stayed for 5 nights with my girlfriend (we are from Sweden). The staff was really friendly and I could ask questions and obtain their assistance 24h a day. It was very very praiseworthy. The hotel was under revocation. Staff very friendly but frequently away from the front desk and no way to call them. Breakfast that was included was adequate but one morning the breakfast room was completely full even after waiting no opening came up. They offered to call my room when there was a seat. My husband and I just got back from Europe (3 countries) and this hotel was by far below a 3.5 rating! The shower was broken and we had to hold the shower head up while trying to shampoo. The toilet was stained on the inside, the carpet was so old and dirty I didn't want to walk around in my socks. The "breakfast area" consists of 4 tables. We came […] back one afternoon from sight seeing and some guy came out of our room saying that he was "programing our TV" - we were not given any notice of anyone entering our room so we were a little perterbed by this. The hotel is located close to the Notre Dame but it is much better to stay near the Arc De Triomphe. My husband unfortunately left 8 dress shirts in the closet and we had to call from Venice to ask them to check the room for them. The receptionist was reluctant to check for us saying she couldn't leave the desk even though it was the middle of the afternoon and would take all of 10 minutes to run up to room 303 to check the closet. We had to call the next day to find out that they were there and then had to wait another day to talk to the manager to ask him to ship it for us even though we were paying for it! The staff were friendly, and the location was perfect. The room was a little tired, but sheets and towels were clean and adequate. Breakfast was ample. Metro just around the corner.

The Hotel Jardins de Paris Marais Bastille is a reasonable hotel in a terrific location - virtually across the street from the Hotel Sully whose back entrance leads right into the Place de Vosges. Also two blocks from the Metro St. Paul, it was easy to access via train from the airport. I have stayed at numerous lower-priced hotels in Paris and have […] found this the most convenient though a bit over-priced compared to its competition. The hotel had virtually no lobby. Breakfast was in a small room with four tables and cost more than any bar/cafe or bakery around the corner. The room was so small it barely contained two beds and an upright storage unit. The beds had broken mattresses and were almost impossible to sleep on. We asked for an extra pillow and were told that there were […] none. The room was clean but the rest of the hotel filthy. The steps leading up to the floor were winding and so narrow that you had to hold onto rails for dear life. The woman who was on duty every day in the breakfast room was so unfriendly you didn't even want to look at her. We did not eat there and the few people we saw who did looked utterly miserable. The Hotel Jardins de Paris Marais Bastille is a small hotel for those on a modest budget. We stayed there twice during our trip for a total of five nights (two rooms). One of the rooms had a leaky bathroom lavatory, which the management fixed during the stay. The other room had a non-operative air conditioner during a heat wave in Paris. They were not […] able to get the air conditioner repaired. Breakfast was included in our room rate. The breakfast was OK but not great with breads, jams, jellies, yogurt, and coffee or tea. The staff was very nice and tried to accommodate. The location is good, as it is very near the #1 Metro line between St Paul and Bastille Metro stops. This meant easy access to Gare de Lyon and the entire metro system. The hotel is actually located on a very short side street parallel to a main thoroughfare, and was very quiet. There are many cafes and shops nearby, and a very large variety store (MonoPrix, with everything from groceries to clothes to housewares) just next door and a fresh fruit/vegetable market just around the corner. The hotel is located on the street behind the Saint Paul metro stop and about a 5 minute walk to the Bastille. My boyfriend and I stayed here and loved the service and location. The rooms are small but it's perfect especially as you're not there except to sleep and shower. You can walk to shopping right out your door and Notre Dame and the Seine are […] all close and fantastic walks as well. The staff is very helpful and will really do anything they can to make your stay pleasant. We didn't take the breakfast option but there's plenty of affordable options right out the door. The hotel was in a nice area... but the room was very small and felt dirty. The bed was uncomfortable; the ac blew dirt for the first 5 minutes of turning it on, and the elevator opened up pretty much onto a spiral staircase. Overall, not a good experience.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The rooms were small, especailly if you compare it to anything in the US, but it was perfect. The area the hotel is in was great! It is a nice walk to the river, Notre Dame, and even the Louvre. Breakfast every morning was included in the stay. I found that the breakfast was better than I had expected. Très bon confort, propreté remarquable, accueil sympathique, serviabilité pour un hôtel calme et discret en plein coeur du IVème arr.Le rapport qualité/prix est adapté. Un seul défaut : la petitesse de la chambre à 2 lits.

très bien, bon accueil, juste un point à revoir les petits-déjeuners, très mauvais rapport qualité/prix le pain très moyen, idem pour les viennoiseries, le jus d'orange moyen, une bonne baguette bien fraiche, il y a suffisamment de boulangeries dans ce quartier. .

Hotel petit mais très confortable et surtout réservé à la dernière minute ce qui m'a permis d'avoir un tarif défiant toute concurrence ! Hotel proche de la station Saint Paul donc à proximité du centre, de tous commerces et transports... Que dire de plus, très agréable nuit passée dans cet hotel . Excellent hôtel refait à neuf. Calme Àccueil impeccable . Petit déjeuner copieux. Quartier saint Paul très attractif : j 'y retournerai

Hotel renovado muy recentiemente. Muy bien situado cerca du Marais y a 10 mn andando de Notre Dame. Excelente relacion calidad precio.

Hotellet ligger perfekt til i en stille bakgate i Le Marais. Kort vei fra t-banen Saint Paul (hovedlinjen gjennom Paris) og med mange så koselige restuaranter og kaffer i nærheten. Vi ble heller ikke genert av bråk fra gaten under oppholdet. Vi ble derimot genert av bråk fra oppussing av hotellet mens vi bodde der. Da de vekket oss før 08.00 om mornigen […] og vi klaget, sluttet de. Rommene er små, som de er i Paris, men helt nyoppusset, med en fin stil. Badet er også helt nytt og av god standard. Vi spiste ikke frokost der. Hotellet og oppholdet var bra, men det er på ingen måte et 4 stjernes hotell. Det beste med oppholdet er beliggenheten og rommets standard. hotel en travaux ,on pourrait nous prévenir à la réservation , le wifi existe mais ne dépasse pas le troisieme etage ( nous étions au 7 eme ) , attention aux personnes de bonne envergure tout est tres serré , bof bof bof

It was easy to check in, the rooms were newly renovated, with a huge mirror close to the bed... hehe ;) (Two buddies traveling together should find some other hotel). Bathroom was clean and nice. The rooms are small, but hey - this is Paris! The hotel lies in a small street behind the main street, so it is quite quiet, but you will hear mopeds when […] they pass by. Location was great too: there's a general store in the basement of the hotel building, a restaurant open 24h just around the corner, lots of cafes, bars, and restaurant within 5 minutes of walking. Charmant hôtel en plein centre de Paris avec tout le confort qu'il faut pour faire un agréable séjour. Il est certe petit mais trés confortable et c'est ce qui en fait tout son charme !

The hotel is "small, but perfectly well shaped". Our rooms were newly renovated into a modern, delicate interior. The renovation was in progress and caused a bit of trouble, such as nose and lack of water in the shower at one instance. The friendly and effective staff was however quick to remedy the shortcomings when we told them of them. The location […] is perfect, in a quiet street close to the metro, cafes and restaurants as well as museums and Place des Vosges. The rooms/bathrooms were perfectly clean every day. Amazingly enough there were no queue for breakfast, even if the breakfastroom only had four small tables. Our only objection is that the cheese for breakfast was wrapped in plastic, and it did not really taste much. Slices of fresh cheese, and perhaps a slice of ham, would represent a welcome improvement. Still, I would happily book at the same hotel at my next time in Paris. Continua a leggere

Meget småt, er ved at blive istadsat (sommer 2011), så det er lidt svært at bedømme hvordan det bliver. Beliggenheden rigtig god - småt men godt.

Mycket bra läge, gångavstånd till det mesta förutsatt att man klarar av att gå ett antal tusen steg om dagen. Annars nära till Metro. Litet rum, ungefär som man kan förvänta sig med det läget och priset i centrala Paris. Inget att anmärka på där, således. Trådlöst bredband (gratis) funkar på de två nedersta våningarna och i receptionssoffan. Höll […] på att renovera, så blir nog fräschare, men var helt okej ändå. Renoveringen störde inte när vi var på rummet (22-09). Skulle definitivt kunna tänka mig att bo där igen. Passar för ensamma och par, inte för barnfamiljer. Hotel en cours de rénovation. Les chambres sont petites mais bien organisées. problème dans les salles de bain (douche monté à l'envers, impossible de se mettre droit devant la glace..).

Intérieur vieillissant, décoration peu soignée dans les chambres, sanitaires à rénover. Hôtel cependant bien placé pour qui souhaite visiter le Marais. Rue calme et personnel agréable. Hôtel qui est en cours d'une rénovation bien nécessaire. A réessayer après travaux.

Hotellet lå anonymt til i en stille sidegate til Rue Ravioli, ca. 200 meter fra metrostasjonen St. Paul. Det gir et beskjedent inntrykk med frokostrom som en del av resepsjonen. Heisen og gangene var trange, men rommet uventet stort. Ingen komfort utover sengene, men alt var rent og iorden. Dog var airconditionen ute av drift p.g.a. påståtte reperasjonsarbeider, […] den første natten var ulidelig varm, men så slo været om og resten ble bra. Betjeningen var hyggelig og imøtekommende som de skulle være og totalinntrykket gjør at vi gjerne kommer tilbake. Continua a leggere

Hotellet ligger i gangavstand til mange severdigheter. Noe nedslitt, men skal være under renovasjon. Små rom. Frokosten er ikke inkludert, slik det står i beskrivelsen, men koster 10 euro.

Fantastiskt läge, många restauranger och diverse butiker runt hörnet på rue Saint Antoine. Frukosten billigare på la Fontaine runt hörnet, där kan man också studera folklivet, vi satt där och såg på Paris Marathon. Tjusiga Hotel de Sully mittemot. Kort promenad till Place de Vosges och Bastiljen, och helgmarknaden som börjar på en gata vid Bastiljen, […] med massor av mat, kläder mm. Dock renoverades tydligen hotellet under vår vistelse, plus att det var lyhört på nätterna, så rekommenderar öronproppar, men jag väljer gärna detta hotell igen tack vare läget! Continua a leggere

If you want to be in the middle of Paris, in a charming neighborhood, relative quiet, splendid service and at a good price; then choose Stella Marais Bastille hotel! We (four people in two rooms) spend four days in Marais and went out every morning to eat petit dejeuner a new place and did not try the hotel breakfast. The bed and bathroom was clean […] and functional. The room neat and tidy. Continua a leggere

Great service and location! clean but small rooms, but it didnt bothered us.

Da vi ankom hotellet syns jeg det var utrolig bra at de hadde døgnåpen resepsjon og at vi bare la igjen nøklene der hver gang vi forlot hotellet. Da slapp vi å bekymre oss for å miste romnøkkelen. Hotellet virket ikke veldig stort, men det var bare koselig. Rommene var rene og ryddige, en helt grei standard. Betjeningen var veldig hyggelige og behjelpsomme! […] Men et vanlig problem i Paris og Frankrike er jo at engelsken deres kunne vært bedre. Har nå erfart at litt fransk går en lang vei hvis man ikke blir forstått med en gang. Enten kunne man få frokost på hotellet for 9/10 euro eller så lå det en butikk vegg i vegg med hotellet som vi handlet ferskt brød og pålegg i, eller en del små kaffeer som var ganske ålreite med påsmurte baguetter. Siden vi dro i midten av desember var været ganske surt så det ble for kaldt å gå lange avstander. Heldigvis ligger hotellet veldig nært metroen som tok oss videre hvor vi måtte ønske. Hotellet lå ned en gate fra Rue de Rivoli som har mange butikker og gode shoppingmuligheter. Jeg anbefaler og finne restauranter/kaffeer før reisen for vi fant ikke mange bra rundt i området rundt hotellet. Vær også obs på åpningstidene til restaurantene for vi brant oss på det flere ganger at vi gikk til en restaurant vi ville gå på og så var det stengt. Vi var uheldige og havnet i snøkaos hvor verken metro (pga arbeid på linja) eller buss gikk den dagen vi skulle dra hjem. Pass på drosjesjåfører som lurer turister til å betale for mye for å kjøre til flyplassen. Mange sjåfører ville ikke kjøre til togstasjonen fra bussholdeplassen, men kun til flyplassen for 200 eller 300 euro. Heldigvis fant vi en drosjesjåfør som kjørte oss dit for 30 euro hver. Avtal pris på forhånd uansett. Ikke stol på personer som kommer bort og tilbyr seg å kjøre billigere til flyplassen. De ordentlige drosjesjåførene går ikke bort til folk. Hotellet var dessuten hjeldpsomme med å skaffe drosjer hvis vi trengte det. For å komme litt tilbake til hotellanmeldelsen anbefaler je Continua a leggere

Kleine kamers, maar met al het noodzakelijke confort ; zeer goed gelegen hotel centraal in de Marais, en ondanks de nabijheid van de Rue Rivoli zeer rustig gelegen ; talrijke bezienswaardigheden op wandelafstand, en metrostation in de buurt ; naar franse normen verzorgd ontbijt in erg kleine ontbijthoek

Lorsque nous sommes arrivés à 18h aucune chambre n'était disponible alors que nous avions réservé depuis deux mois et que notre carte de crédit avait été débitée. Nous n'avons pas pu nous changer , ni nous laver avant de sortir . Après quelques échanges un peu rudes, nous avons enfin obtenu une chambre pour minuit. Hôtel vraiment à ne pas recommand […] er. Internettet virkede ikke på den etage jeg boede bo. Der hang hår på væggen på badeværelset. Sengen var elendig og lugtede ulækkert. Der var meget støj fra vejen og ekstremt lydt fra andre værelser. Værelset var utroligt lille. Morgenmaden var til gengæld udmærket og relativt hjælpsom personale.

Hotellet stod ikke i forhold til forventningene pris og antall stjerner tatt i betraktning. Beliggenhet topp. Hyggelig og serviceminded personale.

The hotel easily lived up to most of our expectations. The staff was helpful and the room was small yet clean and nice. There was a bath tub in the room - however, on Sunday evening, we ran out of hot water. Apart from that, everything was good.
