Legacy Vacation Resorts Reno Reno

I was there for a weekend of volleyball at the convention center, the rooms were great just the bathroom was small and not ideal for little children (standing shower for 1) and the parking garage is not ideal for a hotel full of volleyball families and their big cars. The pool is pretty basic and I love the kitchenettes in the rooms, saved us money […] and a trip to some overpriced restaurant. They don't clean every day so keep in mind of that. The staff was helpful after we complained but the condition of the room was completely unacceptable.

I could here the people in the others rooms talking, along with everything else.

Obviously if you are a picky person you won't like this hotel. If you are like me and understand you pay for what you get and take other things into consideration, this place is pretty decent. The location is great. It's right by the riverwalk area and just blocks from Harrah's and the strip. The room was ok, it was clean and had a small kitchen and […] they had a HD TV. So I was happy enough with that. The staff is not what you call service oriented or well trained. There was only one person at the front desk everytime we went there and they would either ignore the customer they were talking to, to ask you if you need help (right in the middle of their conversation), or they would run to the back to get coffee for someone else and just leave you standing there. Again, I don't really care, I got my room key and got a few names of sushi places and that's it, I don't need someone kissing my butt. The room had a very noisy AC unit which constantly woke me up when it kicked on, the kitchen and furniture was a little outdated, but again, who cares, I had a place to sleep that was clean and the location was good, if you just want to sit in your room and critique everything and get upset because something is "so 2005", then you should go somewhere else. If you are ok with some minor problems, but enjoy paying less and being a good location, I'd reccomend this place. Continua a leggere

They weren't sure if internet inroom service was available. On day 2, there was no hot water.

Overall wonderful little place and location. Having a kitchen was perfect. Great indoor pool and other activities. Friendly staff. The only bad things were that the pull-out bed was horribly uncomfortable. Also, my mother-in-law and 4-year old son got stuck in the elevator. It was pretty scary for them.

Everithing was perfect but only one thing I didn't like. Their air conditioner sistem is too loud and it didn't work like it sopposted.

We got the one bedroom and I would reccomend that room to anyone with kids. The baby had room to run around and we didn't feel so cramped!

No front desk service after 10PM, if no heater during sleep there were no maintance people stay this hotel, only you can wait next morning or get more blanket or add more wearing jacket, this hotel not recommend family vacation. we had really cool sleep.

I had a short stay at the Legacy Resort, but it was a pleasant surprise to find the room fully equipped with paper towels and dish soap/sponge. I am pleased with the hotel service and accomadations!

Like the downtown location. Easy access to 4th Street Bus Depot with convenient and inexpensive transportation to Nugget Hotel Casino in Sparks where I attended the Mining Convention. Will stay at the Silver Legacy anytime I am in Reno.

The hotel was clean and was sufficient for the night we spent there. The hotel was renovated but the room was dated and felt dirty. Will probably stay somewhere else next time.

The Legacy Vacation Resorts Reno was a decent starting point for activities on Virginia St. The resort was located a very short distance from the nice river walk area. This resort would be perfect if you had business in the financial area or at the court house. Lacking an adequate marquee for the area, it was not easy to locate and a late night arrival made it difficult to check in efficiently. I booked this hotel thinking I was booking at the Silver legacy Hotel in Reno. I realized it was the contrary upon arrival, Overall the place is very clean, very well maintained and the staff were courteous and friendly. We listened to a 90 min presentation., this time I did not feel pressure to purchase the time share. They allowed us a late check […] out 12:00 p.m. to accommodate our schedule since we were there for business., II would stay here again except that you can hear all the noise from the adjacent room. Since we had gotten up at 4:00-am and returned to the room by eight am, thinking we can catch an hour or two of extra sleep.,, to our surprise the noise from the cleaning staff in the adjacent room woke us up and so we were out by the standard check out time 10:00 a bit to early for Reno., specially if you come in and stay up all night long Continua a leggere

Nothing spectacular, but it was within walking distance of the strip (maybe three blocks), had a small kitchenette, and large enough for me and my buddy (bed + pull-out sofa). If you get drunk enough, you can sleep on anything through the night. The toilet was mounted crooked so you nearly slid off when you sat on it, but it flushed and didn't get clogged. Very limited on-site parking, in a garage with 6' clearance, so stay elsewhere if you drive a truck or SUV, or just don't want to risk having to park off the premises. Street parking is available, but you have to move by 9AM everyday, and the neighborhood is sketchy. The room was clean and comfortable, but the halls and elevators were pretty nasty....we […] took the stairs most of the time because the elevators are very slow and smelly. The "front desk" has been moved to the second floor in the back of the rec room, very inconvenient. The wall are pretty thin, and noise levels are higher than we like. For a busy holiday weekend it was ok, but we'll stay elsewhere next time. Continua a leggere

We had a very hard time finding the hotel. There was no hotel name or address number display for people to see. We arrived in the evening and spended two and a half hours driving around trying to find the hotel. We went into other surrounding hotels to ask for the"Legacy Vacation Resorts" and no one have heard of such a hotel. We try calling the hotel […] with no luck (no one picked up the phone). We also try calling the long distance number with no luck (closed for the evening). We have booked the hotel throught the internet and was worry that there was no such of a place. After getting onto the internet and finding a 1-800 number we finally got someone to help us. In the end we found it. Being the first time to Reno and not knowing the city it was very hard to find the hotel. We were not sure if it was the right place except for the floor mat that say's "Legacy Vacation Resorts". The hotel was under renovation with no one at the front desk. We followed signs leading us up to the first floor and still there was no one there except another sign telling us to call another number. After that we had to wait for another 10 minutes for the security guard to come. When he was checking us in the computer frozed and he could not check us in properly. We had booked a one bedroom which should have (a 2 queen bed with a pull out sofa bed) There was 6 in our party. We were given a one queen room. I had to go back and find the security guard to give us another room. He then put us to a 2 queen bed room. I had complained and said we can not fit 6 people to a 2 queen bed room. He had told me that the room we had booked for was all sold out and that was all they had left. I then said you have to give us both rooms. We are not able to fit all of us to just one room. Not a bad place to stay. However, don't be fooled by the name. Nearby in Reno is the well known Silver Legacy Resort which i thought i had booked. This place is reasonable but the neighborhood is somewhat unsavory and not safe to walk at night.

The hotel staff is very helpful and good at their jobs -able to answer questions and make useful suggestions in a very friendly way. The exterior is freshly painted and maintained. The interior although obviously built cheaply was maintained well and the staff was very helpful on the few requests we had concerning extra pillows, towels and blankets. […] We got a cheap price on a cheap hotel and were surprized at the wonderful/helpful service and the central location. If someone were to invest in the structure of the building it could become an all around great place to stay. Continua a leggere

Great hotel, was very comfortable. Good AC, great pool and hot tub.

we are a timeshare owner from 1980...we have always enjoyed our stay and the conveince of excess of the closeness of the town....the employees are always courtiest and helpfull....we would recommend the hotel to all friends and relatives when avaliable....with the upgrading being down would really help the enviorlment.

This hotel is very close to downtown Reno without all the lights and busy nite life! The hotel was very comfortable and quiet. Noone bothers you and they only clean your room if you want it done. Really liked having a refrigerator, microwave, stove, and kitchen in our room. Would reccomend this place to anyone going to Reno.

If you want to stay at a Hotel with the best staff this is the place!!! They did everything that they could to ensure that our stay was a good one! I would stay there again just because of the people that work there!!!!
