Ottima posizione, essendo circa 10 minuti a piedi lontano da downtown. Camera piuttosto confortevole, pulizia accettabile, personale alquanto gentile e disponibile. La colazione fin troppo spartana, ma accettabile. Tutto sommato, consiglio a tutti di scegliere questo hotel per il prezzo davvero basso rispetto agli standards degli hotel americani (very expensive!) e la qualità dei servizi e della camera che si sono dimostrati essere più che buoni.

è quasi una ragione per andare a S Antonio. villa stupenda, accoglienza familiare ottima.

"Beautiful Hotel"
We live locally and want a quick get-a-way for Saturday night. This hotel was perfect and is convienently located on Riverwalk - but away from the crazy crowds. Great restaurants!
"Noisy"
Very disappointing. From our room we could easily make out conversations in the next room and of people walking down the hall. The ice maker and elevator (down the hall a little way) were also easily heard. While the room looked very nice, the walls are paper thin and the noise was just too much. Will not stay there again.

"Not What I Expected"
I was very disappointed with my stay at the Hotel Valencia Riverwalk. As stated in other reviews the hotel IS very dark. The floor plan of our room was terrible. There was no sitting area; no sofa, no coffee table, one uncomfortable armchair, dim lighting offering you nowhere to relax. We ordered room service for breakfast and had nowhere to sit and […] eat other than on the bed which was hard and miserable. Our experience at the restaurant, Citrus, is mixed. When we entered for lunch there was no one at the hostess stand. We waited......waited......waited and not a single staff member acknowledged our presence. It was at least 10 minutes of standing there with servers walking by us before the manager asked if we had been helped. This was not a good experience and when our plans were changed we had to decide if we would chance having dinner at Citrus that evening. Well I must say I am very happy we did. It was an entirely different experience. We were greeted and seated promptly and the dinner was amazing! We told our waiter to let the chef know how perfect the meal was from start to finish. If I plan on returning to San Antonio in the future I will not choose to stay at The Hotel Valencia. There are too many other hotels directly on the riverwalk that far exceed this hotel at about the same rate for a 3 night stay. I would however dine at Citrus in the EVENING, that I highly recommend. "No parking, unhelpful staff."
This hotel is one of the more bizzare places I've stayed. When we arrived, there were police ( San Antonio PD, not security) everywhere. The lobby is not on the ground level, and no employees were in sight. We wondered if there was some sort of active crime scene with at least a half dozen cops there. We must have looked lost and confused, because a […] cop finally came over to help us. He showed us how to get up to the front desk on the second floor. The front desk person was clueless about pretty much everything. I asked him why the police were everywhere. He avoided the question enough that I had the impression he knew but either couldn't or wouldn't tell us. We asked him about parking, we had parked in a temporary lot. We found out that the nearest overnight parking was a block away. He didn't know the price. The rooms were ok. Remodeled, but the bathroom sink was backed up, there is no exhaust fan so it gets very steamy when taking a shower. The location, while on the riverwalk, is a good 10 minute walk from the main shops/restaraunts. You have to pass a rough section of the riverwalk with homeless people and other rough characters to get to the main part of the riverwalk. In short, this hotel was ok, but I won't be back. Locationis great, but no good parking or drop off location. you will have to pull up at curb to drop off and pick up - which was crowded on the Holiday weekend. Lobby was very dark, but trendy. Rooms were nice and modern, but bed was very firm. It was very clean and trendy .

Loved the Valencia even though it was dark. It was hard to see wherever you went but that might be a great advantage to most of us.

Booked this as a Rewards night. Very odd that the front desk did not know what the parking situation was. Welcomed by urine on the toilet seat in the room. Also could hear every word the neighbors said either on the balcony or in their room so kept the TV on loud for awhile to drown them out and maintain some privacy. Nice furnishings in the hotel room […] itself, even if it was a little dark and gloomy appearing. Nice interior patio area w/ firepit. Convenient to walk around on the Riverwalk. Hotel was amazing, as well as the staff. Very upscale and relaxing, with nice views of the river and a beautiful courtyard with fireplace and waterfall It was away from the normal tourist area and we will definitely return!

Parking is a nightmare at this hotel. It is very dark inside the actual lobby and when checking in you are so far away from the person checking you in that you can't hear what they are saying, plus the water falling in the lobby, although attractive, is very noisy again making it hard to hear. Hotel looks beautiful in pictures. Reality is the walls are paper thin, bed was very uncomfortable and everything looked old. I would not stay here again.

"Great Place to be if you're visiting San Antonio"
You get the best of both worlds, Downtown and the Riverwalk, but you're still not to far from all the other areas that San Antonio has to offer!!! Great service and atmosphere!!!

"Parking was the only downfall"
Just spent 2 nights at this hotel and we LOVED it, and would definitely return and recommend to friends. It was my birthday weekend and we just loved the beautiful hotel, the sensual ambiance, the modern decor, the soft lighting, and the room was just gorgeous. "Too expensive for what you get"
The Hotel Valencia is a fine, nice hotel on a quiet part of the riverwalk. It is convenient to good restraunts, theaters, and shopping. The room was nice - the bed was a little uncomfortable - and the bathroom was a little small. Regular sized tub, but a nice tall shower head. It is just too expensive for what you get. There are cheaper options nearby, […] that would provide about the same level of quality, and there are slightly more expensive options nearby that would deliver the quality expected in this price range. Also, if you are heading east on E Houston St (which you will most likely be doing) in order to get to the hotel, it is virtually impossible to turn left into the hotel entry without performing a 3 point turn. Finally, the only parking available is valet parking - not something I found advertised when I made the reservation (maybe I just missed it) and not necessarily an expense I was planning on. Hotel is intentionally dark, dark lobby, dark rooms, dark furniture, dark carpets. We hurt our shins twice on bed corners because room was so dark we didn't see. Valet parking $29.

It is very noisy and no one offered help to the room with the luggage at all. I will not stay there again at all.
"Good quality and price"
The hotel was fabulous was dissapointed that the booking was not a king bed as requested but they did comp my valet parking to make up for it will definetly stay there again very beautiful hotel

"Sophisticated style"
This was a perfect place for a romantic get-away-dim lighting and quiet. Only thing missing in the lovely room was drawer space. I think they might have compromised the style though. Lovely ambiance and very helpful staff.

I can not recommend this place highly enough! When you walk in, you are met by the smell of Lavendar, the staff is amazing, the bed was very comfortable. There is a riverwalk entrance but it is toward the end so you don't have to listen to loud noise from your room. the bar has comfortable lounge seating with a relaxed, romantic atmosphere...

Helpful staff, nice room. Bed was a little squeeky, but not too loud. Nice location. We parked in a lot a couple blocks away ($15/24 hours) so as not to worry about valet parking. Starbucks across the street.
"Great overall"
Awesome hotel. But if you stay the weekend. Count on rowdy drunk people coming in at abou 2am hooting and hollering.Only lasted about 20 mins. Then they must have passed out. Overall very nice place will stay again.
"Delayed Check In"
Arrived @ 4 to check in, was told room was not ready for another 2 hrs. They did not offer any freebies at all. Plus valet parking would not let us go get our coats from our vehicle, they had to go an retrieve, took 45 mins! Was supposed to be charged $31.19 for valet parking, but was charged $50! Still waiting to see if they are going to refund us […] the difference. Besides all that, beautiful room and great location to see all the sites and right on the riverwalk. "Noisy"
My wife and I were planning a special anniversary get-a-way, and the hotel turned out to be just OK. We ordered room service with two entrees, but received just one place setting. However, the biggest nuisance was the noise. We were on the top floor and had a small tornado blowing and whistling under our door. I finally had to stuff towels under the […] door to cut the wind noise that brought with it every conversation and every door opening occurring in the hallway. "Best hotel on the river walk by far"
This was my husband and I second year anniversary and we couldn't ask for a better anniversary yet. The staff knew it was our anniversary and they treated us like royalty the rooms were so comfortable and clean the location was perfect the hotel was just beautiful no words could describe it.

"Hotel Valencia in San Antonio"
We throughly enjoyed ourselves with one exception; the coffee service in the room and lobby did not have tea bags. When we inquired about this we were told that we had to purchase tea from the restaurant. This was not an response that we expected. We would have expected a hotel of this caliber would have provided this for their guests.

Was very modern in the heart of the riverwalk district. Lots of restaurants and sight-seeing points nearby. Staff was warm and pleased to help. Only nitpicky things I noticed were dust in bathroom and bed was not as comfortable as home. Pretty stiff mattress. Hotel advertises 24 hour room service, but my order was delivered missing several things. A second trip only corrected one item. Didn't understand that I wanted to order hot tea.

We have stayed on the Riverwalk many times and aways try a new hotel, however, to begin with, there is no parking. You have to use their valet, which we usually do, but we like to have a choice. We always go to San Antonio for 2 days during the Thanksgiving break and had always stayed a another hotel. This year we decided to change and see if the Valencia was as good as the other one but we were wrong and we are not saying it is bad but definitely it is not our style. "On the wrong side of the tracks"
The hotel is very average but the surrounding neighborhood is bleak. It is far away from the high energy center of the River Walk.
