Recensito da un utente di Hotels.com in data 25 feb 2013La posizione è stupenda in quanto si trova direttamente di fronte a Central Park. La nostra camera era veramente spaziosa. Per la colazione è meglio premurarsi che sia già pagata o meno altrimenti viene addebitata sulla camera e poi bisogna spiegare che era già pagata. Attenzione al frigo bar, ogni tanto caricano sul conto consumazioni non fatte. Nel nostro caso, dopo una breve spiegazione, hanno provveduto immediatamente a cancellarla dal conto finale e senza fare troppe storie. Il personale è stato gentile a parte qualche cameriere un po scorbutico durante la colazione ma con il quale abbiamo subito chiarito, parlando noi un buon inglese.

L'ideale per trascorrere pochi giorni nella Grande Mela. Struttura un po'vecchiotta ma assolutamente funzionale. Colazione discreta inclusa. Personale molto disponibile. "Ottimissimo rapporto qualità-prezzo!"
L'hotel non è dei più nuovi, ma è tenuto bene. Si trova a 5 minuti a piedi da Time Square in direzione nord, proprio all'inizio della Broadway. Ottimo se si vuole raggiungere Manhattan dal JFK con uno Shuttle o in treno, perchè si trova meno di due blocchi dalla Penn Station. La zona intorno all'hotel è molto frequentata con numerosi ristoranti e centri […] commerciali, inoltre non mancano neppure le stazioni della metropolitana. Considerando i prezzi di una camera a NYC, questo hotel è sicuramente un ottimo compromesso, anzi per quello che offre è anche abbastanza economico. Le camere non sono grandi, ma pulite e normalmente dotate. Nella hall è presente anche un bar (sempre aperto) e la colazione a base di cereali, muffin assortiti, caffè, succo di arancia e ciambelle, anche se molto USA standard, è generalmente gratuita. Unica pecca riscontrata anche se trascurabile è la presenza di un unico ascensore e dato che l'hotel si estende su 12 piani, specialmente la mattina, si deve aspettare parecchio per riuscire a salire/scendere. "Rapporto qualità/prezzo ottimo e posizione invidiabile"
Hotel perfetto per posizione, comodità, pulizia camere e colazione compresa. Unica nota: all'arrivo, con soggiorno pagato dall'italia, ci hanno chiesto la carta di credito a garanzia e ci hanno impegnato 180$ (20 a notte) per eventuali danni recati alla camera o extra non pagati. Il fatto è che ad oggi ancora non sono stati sbloccati e la vacanza è […] gia finita. L'hotel comunque lo consiglierei e ci tornerei senz'altro. Al momento della prenotazione chiedete le camere più nuove e se volete dormire quelle con 2 letti singoli (oppure la king size). Noi avevamo la 1211 con 2 letti singoli e siamo stati benissimo, solo un po' di attesa per l'ascensore a volte. Posizione super: a 3 metri dalla Subway, 2 blocchi dall'Empire Estate Building e 10 minuti a piedi da Times Square e Flatiron. Se dovessi tornare a NY tornerei qui. "Hotel Stanford, ottimo hotel in ottima posizione"
Ottima posizione, hotel vicinissimo alle principali linee di metropolitana e praticamente a meno di un quarto d'ora a piedi da Times Square. Tutti i principali negozi sono nelle immediate vicinanze. La nostra era una camera a due letti singoli, spaziosa e accogliente. La colazione a buffet è sempre la stessa - pane, ciambelle e muffin con succo di frutta […] e tè o caffè - ma ci si può assolutamente accontentare. Unica nota negativa: per 12 piani esiste un solo ascensore, cosa che specie al mattino può fare perdere parecchio tempo. Chiedete una camera entro i primi piani. "Hotel Stanford a New York"
L'hotel Stanford è proprio come descritto. Confortevole, camere ordinate, la biancheria viene cambiata spesso, il personale è efficiente e disponibile. La colazione non è molto varia, ma è a buffet. E' vicinissimo a tutto! La fermata della metro è a 10 passi, all'angolo della strada. La Penn station, l'empire state building, la fifth avenue, il Rockfeller […] center, il medison square garden, tutto vicinissimo. E arrivati al JFK prendendo l'air train (il treno sopraelevato che congiunge tutti i terminal dell'aeroporto) porta fino all'inizio della metro linea E. Prendendo tale linea arriviamo senza cambiare a Penn Station, da lì in un attimo siamo all'hotel Stanford spendendo una modica cifra. We have just returned from a 4 night stay in New York. The hotel is perfectly placed to see all the main attractions and the subway is very close to take you further afield if you wish. The hotel is not mega modern and so looks a little tired but everywhere is clean. The room was spotless and attended to daily. The staff are very helpful, and rushed […] off their feet as the hotel always seemed to have a reception full of people. Breakfast is basic but the local area is full of choices from having a quick bagel to a full breakfast, and my was it full. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting somewhere to rest after a full day sight seeing. If you are wanting 5 star luxury, then you should go elsewhere and pay the price. Overall the hotel was great. Very clean rooms and conveniently located. The staff was wonderful and friendly. Only two things to improve: The rooms were very hot. "Affordable location, close to Penn Station/Subway"
Location, location, location - this is the most important point of this Hotel. It is close to Penn Station and some 30 yards from Subway, besides being in the hearth of Manhattan. 32nd St is a Korean area, with many restaurants and ethnic markets making late meals a breeze. Room itself is small, with the basics (double bed had access by one of the sides […] only). Complimentary breakfast and Internet were good surprises as well as a nice staff. Elevator is small for the number of rooms, so expect delays when needing it. Complimentary tea and coffee, available at 2nd floor is also helpful if you want to stay inside your room longer. All in all a good value for the money when visiting NY or if you arrive via JFK and use Subway or Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to go downtown. Me and my husband stayed at this hotel because it was near time square and it was in Manhattan and we wanted to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was friendly and the room seemed very clean and tidy. THere's free wifi, as well. However, the bathroom was clogged, the temperature was always cold and they could never fix the heater. "Close to Penn! Loved Location!"
PERFECT for my needs - I took my college-bound son to a show and sent him off to college at Penn Station (Amtrak) the next morning. This was second time we stayed there,and it was excellent.Our flight was landed at JFK 6:40am and we reached to the hotel at 8am.but room was ready(maybe we told hotel about our flight time in advance).even room is not ready,hotel offer complimentary coffee,tea and cockies ,also free internet. Room is bit small but mini fridge,safebox iron,iron board […] are there.really comfortible.TV is not showing good sometime. conplimentary breakfast was OK. They offer bagles,apples,coffee,tea,orange juice so on. but eating space is limited,so if you go there around 9am,you have to wait on line.We choose this hotel because of location.Close to anywhere,and a lot of restaurant around hotel most of them open for 24hrs. "Small but worth the money for the location"
We choose this hotel mainly on price and location. It was in walking distance to all major attractions. The hotel is on the same block as the empire state building!! We walked everywhere!!! Very safe location and our room was clean! The lobby and cafe (for breakfast) is small. Free breakfast was just ok, didn't offer much but it was good quick for us. […] As we didn't want to spend our time eating.... I read many reviews for this hotel and the major issues about only one elevotor really wasn't a problem for us. The heat in our room was a tad warm but we opened our window when we first got there and by the time we came back later that evening it was fine. Also about 4 or 5 doors down there was a ice cream shop called Pinkberry... YUMMY!! Highly recommand stopping for a late night snack!! Overall I was pleased with our stay here and would book again. "Great for couples on a short city break"
The room was cleaned daily and the location of the hotel made for good access to Macy's, Time Square and the Empire State building. Central Park is a good walk or taxi journey away, and the Financial District even further, but taxis always seemed to be on hand outside. "Hotel Freezer"
Located in China town, it had 12flrs & 1 elevator. They room was cold & uncomfortable our entire stay. The room had a thermastat but it didn't matter because, they controlled it. "Cheap with the HEAT!!!"
Located in China town, 12flrs & 1 elevator. The room was small with a closet that contained a safe. I reserved a queen size bed for 2. The bathroom had 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel, and 1 wash rag.
