Hotel appears fairly new and nicely decorated in the public areas. Rooms themselves are pretty standard fair, but clean and well maintained. Breakfast is standard middle-of-the-road fare, but the breakfast area is not conducive to family breakfast - the food is scattered throughout the lobby area, with the only real seating upstairs on the second floor. We checked in after 1 am on thursday and was greeted by a very hotel staff. We were given a bigger room then we had booked and it was very comfortable and clean. "Highly recommend"
I stayed at this hotel on a Parent's Weekend/Cat's home game Saturday night. The hotel was completely booked but you would never have guessed it. The hotel was not only quiet but the staff was very courtious and helpful and the rooms quite comfortable. I really could not find much of anything to complain about at all. The breakfast area looks small […] but was perfectly able to contain everyone that was there eating at any given point. My only suggestion would be to offer another protein for breakfast besides hard boiled eggs. The waffles were great and the biscuits and gravy were spot on. It's a nice place. I've stayed in some La Quinta's that weren't so nice. However, I have a complaint, two actually. One, the kind of a/c that the rooms have makes me crazy. When it turns on to cool the room it sounds like you're inside a jet engine, and then it just shuts down. There is no fan that continues to run and move air around the room. Then, […] about 30 min later, just when you fall asleep, BAM... ROARRRRRRRR. And two, hey, it's Bozeman, right? It gets cool there at night, just open the window. But, no there is a truck stop right next door. So, open the window and hear diesel engines, ROAR. I finally found a compromise, with the window open and the fan only function on, I was able to drown out the truck noise and maintain a reasonable temp. I liked this hotel a lot. Room was clean, modern and relatively large. Pool and fitness-room were open 24 hours, which I really appreciated. "Looks nice , but doesn't really "feel" nice"
Overall, the hotel was nice and clean. They keep the pool open 24/7 so that was nice for our kids after a long day in Yellowstone. I would recommend not having a room on level one - which is really a basement level. There wasn't much sound proofing, so noise of guests in the room above, and pipes with running water were pretty loud. Access is great […] as it's right off the interstate, and it's a straight shot down Hwy 191 to West Yellowstone and then into the park if that is on your agenda. Having given high marks to this hotel I have to add a cautionary note. The hotel is typically La Quinta in its quality, but the location may not please you. This hotel is located at a truck stop and is 6 miles or so from Bozeman. If you just want a place to get rest, great.
