Uno degli aspetti piu positivi di questo hotel e' senz'altro la sua ubicazione, vicinissimo alle stazioni U-bahn e Bus di Hans Reuter Platz. Il quartiere e' tranquillo ma allo stesso tempo pieno di attivita' come negozi, ristoranti (tantissimi) e numerose gallerie d'arte contemporanea. Lo stile dell'albergo e' sobrio ed essenziale, il servizio e' soddisfacente, […] la colazione buona ma forse non all'altezza delle 4 stelle. The room was clean and comfortable. The location made everything accessible. Lots to do in the neighborhood in the evening.

Very nice hotel with very pleasant staff. Very good service with reasonable price. Located in the heart of Berlin, with 5-8 min walking to the main street of shopping and sightseeing bus station. I warmly recommend this hotel.

Best deal in Berlin. Close to the shopping area, U-bahn stops, and plenty of good restaurant around

I initially went here because it was good value. Though it's clean, tidy, great service, amazing rooms (even if I had the basic one) , nice location (posh cars parked outside) , very close to the tube and perfect location next to tiergarten !. I'll be staying here again .

Good hotel, fair pricing. I have not tried the breakfast for 10 Euros. I go to Brot und Butter next door and have one of the better breakfast in Europe for 10-20 Euros.. (depending how much coffee and/or juice you drink)

I stayed at this hotel when traveling to Berlin with a friend, and our room was enormous and clean. There was a free safe available for us to use. The friendly staff provided us with a map of the city that included all the main attractions. We were close to a good deal of them, and could easily take the U-Bahn or S-Bahn to the rest. I can highly recommend Gates Hotel Novum for its high value for money. My single room had everything I needed and the location is good as well. With friendly and helpful staff I have no complaints at all. Enjoy your stay!

this hotel was in a great spot near some lovely restaurants and the subway/metro systems. rooms are a great size and nice large bathrooms. perfect for a few nights stay.

Very nice location near metro station. Hotel staff spoke fluid English and was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and big. Area around hotel is pretty, but quite pricey. I recommend! There is also a nice coffee place on the way to metro.

A bit less than I expected from 4 star hotel. They don't provide toothbrush and toothpaste. Wireless internet speed is not so fast. But the location is good which is close to zoo station.

Hotel Gates is conveniently located near the S and U Bahn, Zoolisgischer Garten. The hotel staff was exceptionally helpful, when I left my credit card at Vodaphone, the staff was very helpful in calling the company for me. I went back and I was thankful the workers had my credit card! Very clean and I had a nice big private bathroom. Small refrigeration […] was very convenient. the hotel is great, clean, efficient: breakfast room is nice and food served great start of the day. It's a nice area of town with a good ubahn stop a few blocks away to the rest of the city. definitely a good deal

Old building in western side of Berlin near Ernst-Reuter-Platz underground station. Very spacious rooms - finally triple room was for three people. Helpful reception rents tickets for Berlin transport. Break fast buffet was quite limited. Nice and recommended!

Fantastic location for Berlin. Quiet location but lovely restaurants all around and easy access to all of Berlin either using the U or S trains. Staff very friendly. Giro Coffee Bar just up street, excellant for breakfast and lovely coffee.

Hotel Gates Novum offers excellent value for money and are located in a quiet, nice and attractive area of Charlottenburg near the S and U-bahn.

The location is quite good. Only 3 stops to city center and close to station. The decoration and bathrooms were particularly pleasant. I would recommend without reservations.

Upon arriving we were greeted by friendly staff. We made it up to our room and thought it was nice to have a small entry way before getting into the main part of the room. The room and bed were nice, tv was large and had lots of channels. The bathroom smelled slightly like mold or something, but it wasn't bad enough for me to complain about to the staff. […] Also, the shower stall was pretty small. This hotel offers free bike rentals. It seemed nice, but the first time we asked to use them they had just given out all of the keys. If you want to get bikes let the front desk know the night before. The day we did get them we ended up returning the bikes before we even made it down the block. I am 5ft4in and the bike was way too big for me. I couldn't reach the ground from my seat, so stopping without falling was almost impossible. My husband was disappointed that we couldn't lower the seats. Overall, it was a nice hotel and I would most likely stay again. Continua a leggere

The price was affordable. The location ok. The street has many stores and restaurants, walk down and turn left and you're at Zoo. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and there's no AC. That's awful in summer Berlin. The wifi worked intermittently on my laptop. Didn't work at all on my iPhone. Not recommended!

If you want a clean, comfortable, friendly, excellent value-for-money place to stay that is in a quiet and safe neighbourhood, yet not too far from the city- stay here! We stayed for 6 nights at the Hotel Gates, min-August 2011. The staff were most pleasant and helpful. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, with plenty of room for clothes, luggage […] etc. The hotel also provided a mini-fridge, bottle opener and glasses- a great idea! We had a room with a terrace, which was great for the evening. We didn't go for the breakfast option as we felt it was a little expensive (9.50 each), but there are lots of lovely eateries nearby for kaffee and kuche. The hotel is situated very near the U-Bahn stop (on the red line) and is within easy walking distance of the Europa Centre and the Zoological Gardens. We ate one night in the Indian restaurant about 5 doors up from the hotel, which was delicious, excellent value and very friendly staff. There are a number of restaurants in the area if you want a quiet meal away from the busy-ness of Berlin. We had a great time in Berlin, and will visit soon and we will certainly stay in this hotel again. Continua a leggere

Hotel staff weren't very friendly. Bikes were unavailable almost throughout our stay. The free wireless internet can't work at all. We have problem opening the hotel door initially. Even the hotel staff took a bit of effort to open up the door that I believe need abit of servicing.

3 minutes from U Bahn station; nice and quiet neighbourhood; free bkles (weather permitting, or not if you like cycling in the rain). Our room was more spacious than we expected, although not huge, and was excellent value.

I've stayed at Gates my last 3 visits to Berlin. Location is convenient, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, they serve an excellent breakfast buffet, and although the rooms are small, the value is outstanding. Unfortunately the hotel's wireless network worked poorly on my last visit

This was our first trip to Berlin & was´nt sure about the area or the hotel. We got really suprised as this hotel was amazing. Nice, clean & big rooms (Comfort room) with nice standards. Comfy bed, big flatscreen TV, laptop & a nice bathroom. As my girlfriend has celiaki and need glutenfree food we decided that is was necessery with breakfast at the […] hotel. The breakfast was great & fresh. A small but perfect selection of food. And they were very helpful with glutenfree bread and also if we had any questions they were happy to help. The staff in the reception were also great, helpful and kind! About the area its close to great resturants, 5 minute walk to the big shopping street and about 10 minute to Thanks for a great stay! Everything is fine in this hotel, staff are nice. The only problem is the shower, which is not so strong enough and the water temperature is unstable. The room is in a reasonable price.

got a really gd price from hotels.com, this hotel is really clean and located just 1 minute walk from bus 245 from berlin hbf. The room was spacious with even a balcony/living room with a desktop computer separated from the bedroom. Free internet is not common in Berlin hotel, but this hotel offers you complimentary internet, supposed to be both wireless […] and cable connection. But during our stay because of the renovation going on wireless didn't work. But the cable works, tho only for one computer. Continua a leggere

the hotel was amazing. very comfortable room. loved that they had covered parking and a fan in the room. the night audit was very nice, but the morning girl behind the desk was very overwhelmed and rather rude becaused she was stressed. I also booked this hotel cause of the internet access and then upon check in... was informed that it was not working. […] I had to go to another place and PAY to use the internet. Also, wish the hotel had an ATM. it was very difficult to find cash machines in the city, especially near the Brandenburg gate. Spent most of the morning walking in the rain looking for an ATM. Wasted half a day doing that. Also, wish for once a hotel in europe would offer something different for breakfast. It is the same thing everywhere I go. We American's need something other than deli meat and an egg. Not a complaint for this hotel, I understand, but a suggestion to offer something different from everyone else. If you stay here go two blocks up on Bielber street and find the cafe with the brunch( it was maroon sun covers). Very yummy. Continua a leggere

Can't go wrong with this one.

We stayed in the hotel in June 2011 and found the room very clean and comfortable and the location very convenient and pleasant. I'll recommend this hotel to any of my friends who are going to Berlin.

I had a fantastic time in Berlin. The location of our hotel was perfect, there are a few nice cafes for breakfast around the corner as well as a really nice Indian a few doors down. If you turn right when you come out of the hotel and keep walking you will find a series of great restaurants, I would especially recommend Petrocellis. We ended most nights […] in the Tuxedo Bar which had really friendly staff, it was around the corner from Petrocellis. Ersnt Reuter Platz is the stop just at the hotel for the UBahn and it was very convenient to get everywhere, I bought a 5 day pass for a good price. I've already booked my return for Christmas time! I stayed here with my boyfriend for 6 nights in June 2011. On arrival the hotel was very easy to find, we got the train from Schoenefeld to Zoological Garten and from there got the U2 towards Ruhleben and off at Ernst Reuter Platz. It's about a 3 minute walk from there to the hotel. The staff seemed very friendly when we arrived but soon after were […] very disinterested in questions we had. I have an allergy to feathered pillows and asked for hypo-allergenic ones instead on the first night, they said that it would be sorted the next morning so we left the hotel for the day and arrived late that night and the pillows had not been changed so we asked again and the same story. Then we came back on Wednesday afternoon, nothing changed so once we asked for the third time the pillows were changed. The room was throughly cleaned everyday and fresh towels given. It was quiet so if you enjoy hotels with some night time entertainment this wouldn't be for you. The location is great you can walk to Ku'damm and close to many great restaurants and the U - Bahn. The room was large, by European standards, and impeccably clean. The staff was friendly, helpful and efficient. The bikes provided were in excellent condition and the hotel is in close proximity to bike paths that wander through gorgeous parks and connect to all of the major attractions. On request, the hotel staff made excellent recommendations for […] nearby restaurants and activities. I have NO hesitation in recommending this hotel and I look forward to a return visit!! This hotel is located near the Underground and in walking distance from the Zoo. We enjoyed our stay there, the only minor comment is that the guest info was in German but the receptionists are all very friendly. If you are going to Berlin-this hotel located in a side street is in a great location, would warmly recommend.

I stayed at this hotel while touring Berlin for a weekend. The staff was very accomodating and spoke very good English. They were very courteous and polite. I recommend this hotel!

Störend die Zigaretten-Kippen direkt an der Eingangstür. Eine uralte und teils defekte Fernbedienung wurde erst nach dreimaliger Reklamation ausgetauscht. Die Fenster waren zwei verschiedene: eines sehr alt, das andere irgendwann mal erneuert. Wenn man sie aufmachte waren die Raumen von aussen teilsvewittert, schwarz, es fehlte ein Lackanstrich, von […] innen o.k. Der Aufzug beengt, für maximal 4 ganz schlanke Leute. Continua a leggere

Nous étions très contents de cet hôtel. Le personnel était très agréable et serviable. La chambre était parfaite et très propre. Le quartier est sympa avec des petits restos italiens et quelques magasins bio. L'hôtel est bien situé par rapport au métro et la S-Bahn. En gros satisfaction totale !
