Right on the ocean. Well maintained hotel that was very pet friendly. They even gave our dog treats when we arrived.

The hotel is older but the room was clean and a good size. The ocean view was fantastic! The beds were firm and confortable. We took advantage of the heated pool and spa. "Don't be fooled by pictures!!"
The photos of the hotel online are photos of the renovated rooms in this hotel. They are in the process of renovating, but only a few rooms have been done. The room we had was very dingy and didn't have a clean feeling to it.

"nice place"
It's a nice hotel, we have stayed many times. First room we were given we noticed there were tiny ants in the bathroom. When we reported it to the front desk, we were informed that maintenance had left for the evening and she'd look to see what spray she could find. With kids and a dog, we were not about to stay in a room after chemicals had been sprayed. […] After 10 minutes, we hadn't heard back so we went down to the desk and asked to be moved to another room. We checked two other rooms and they were fine, so we moved all our stuff - never got an apology for the inconvenience from that desk staff. When we returned the keys after switching room, the new person on the desk had no idea what was going on when I gave him the key and told him we had switched rooms because of the ants (which left me wondering if the room would be sprayed the next day if nothing was mentioned that night). Anyway, this guy apologized at least! I know the hotel is doing improvements, but more need to be done. We were planning a 10 day trip, but cut it to 4 days there because they changed what rooms/suites allowed dogs in them (it used to be all rooms, now it's just the small efficiency rooms - which with 3 kids and a small dog, we didn't want to be stuck in a small room, when we had previously rented the one bedroom condo - the hotel might want to reconsider this new rule, as it will limit the length of time we stay on future trips! The hotel was great for dogs! It was conveniently located to attractions. It seems to be geared more for Senior Citizens, but it worked great for our family. We want a nice family, friendly, and QUIET hotel when we travel! We really enjoyed our experience here.

"Christmas at Ocean Park Resort, Myrtle Beach SC"
My stay was most pleasant. It was my first time at Myrtle Beach and I chose to go at Christmas. The accomodations were excellent and we had a pet. The staff was outstanding and very cordial. I plan to go back in the spring.

This was a last minute decision for us. We didn't quite know what to expect from this hotel. Most hotels pictures on the web don't do them justices. So, i was surprise that this was a nice and clean place. I wish that i had booked more than one night, because of the nice heated pool. we will planned to stay again.
This hotel is fair for the price. Clean, but could pay a little more attention to the impression left by the front desk clerk. She was not friendly and inviting but just appeared to be there to do her job and that was it. Not rude in any way though. I didn't like the cameras everywhere. "Great hotel for the price"
Went here for a short getaway with my husband and needed something on a budget. The people there were all very nice and the room was clean. The bed was more comfortable than most of the other hotels I have stayed at in Myrtle Beach. And the indoor pool was awesome!

Hotel staff was very friendly. Room was clean and comfortable...beds were great. Thought the rooms would have a bad smell since it was pet friendly. Not at all. It was a little stuffy when we first entered, but that was due to it not being used for a few days. It aired right out and there was no bad pet ordors. The hotel was very convient to things. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The indoor pool was heated and very nice, the insoor hot tub was not working but the outdoor one was and it was very nice. I would stay there again if I were to go back to Myrtle Beach.

Loved the view from the ocean front room. The floor plan worked well for our family with the Murphy bed in the living room, two beds in the bedroom, and kitchen in between. Felt secure, the staff was friendly and took care of our needs. We came to visit family and will plan to stay here again.

My husband and I just got back from Myrtle Beach and we stayed at the Ocean Park hotel with our Cairn Terrier for five nights. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend it for a place to stay with or without pets. Even though we didn't use them, we could see that the pool and spa were very clean. It's a great way to mingle with other pet owners and we did get to meet quite a few. Daisy, Sammy and Montana come to mind right off the bat and we hope that they had just as nice of a stay. Enjoyed our stay hotel overall clean. Staff very nice and accomodating. Only negative I can say was the smell in elevator as the day progress the odor got worse due to being a pet friendly hotel. So we learned early to take the stairs. :)

The front desk clerk..a lady wearing glasses was not very hospitable when I checked in. Other than that I had a great time. "Wonderful stay"
We had a great stay here with our Yorkie. This is a great place to stay. The only issue we had was the balcony doesn't have any kind of safety for the dog. We were afraid that our old dog with bad vision might just walk right off the balcony. Some type of mesh guard would have been great, but we would never leave the balcony door open out of fear.

The location was great because it was on the quiet part of the beach, and the view was great. But, the drains were very slow, and the room was not very clean.

We have a small dog and that is how we chose Ocean Park Resort. Overall our stay was nice.The only drawback was that the area for pet use was small and pets were not allowed on any grass area around the hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel before and each time it gets better. The check in process was easy. My room was ready 3 hours early. I even upgraded while I was there and the rate was cheaper than online.If you check in with your pet, they give you doggie treats, which I thought was very sweet. My dog ripped through the bag trying to get the treats. The […] hotel has above ground and underground parking They have added new grass and more loungers which makes it very resort looking. I saw the pools and jacuzzi being cleaned once a day in the morning. That was a comfort considering how many people get in the water. The hotel has a small gym, that is rarely used, so it was a joy to be in there by myself. My room had new everything, frig, stove, microwave. The room came with dishes, silverware and pots. The only caution I have is be careful walking , because so many people run through the lobby and lower level, wet that I slipped a couple times while walking. The hotel has a new rewards program,so you can get discount on area food and attractions. Although, it was booked, the staff was wonderful, the hotel was clean and I cannot wait for next year. The hotel had a great location just near the beach, so one can easily jump from pool to the ocean! We stayed at Ocean front room whcih had quite a nice landscape. We did not recieve room service for one day! despite we asked them to provide us with!! Reception staff needs to be more generous for handing out towels! "Clean, OceanFront and Pet-Friendly"
Fun, friendly oceanfront hotel in Myrtle's south end. Ours was second floor, a bit too close to the lobby and overlooking the pool. If you'd like privacy, quiet and a better view, upper floors would be best. We made last minute reservations for the Fourth of July weekend and got an oceanfront one-bedroom suite with a nice, updated kitchen. Very comfortable. […] We enjoyed having breakfast on the balcony with the dog. Not a fancy place, and could use updating, but a real winner if you want to bring your pet. Frist I was given the wrong information about the hotel's smoking policy. I was told you could smoke on balcony, on arrival i was told the hotel was smoke free. 2nd ,dogs peeping & pooping every where,almost got peeded on standing in designated smoking area. I checked in on 6/30/2011 my room did NOT get cleaned until 7/2/2011 and that was after I went […] to front desk and raised ---, I tried to call and request service , only received clean towels each time , CUSTOMER SERVICES NEEDS A LOT OF WORK.
