This hotel served its purpose for our stay. We were traveling to NY and wanted to stop at the Casino in erie on the way and this hotel wasnt too far from the casino, we didnt want to spend a lot of money on another hotel seeing as we were just passing through so it was a place to rest your head. When we first pulled up in front of the Knights Inn we were worried because the outside sure could use some paint to make it look better but once inside the room was spotless and had all the amenities we could have needed. It came with a continental breakfast and for the money was more than adequate. We were very satisfied with our stay.

It was very old air conditioning was not working properly. Carpet old. Bathroom old. Needs updating. No continental breakfast as advertised. Not a good experience. No bed bugs and good location.

The lobby stinks. There was no breakfast. The light in the bathroom was burnt out and the tub didn't drain.

I do not smoke this room just choked me with the smell of cigeratte smoke even though i do not and was not smoking in the room!!!! I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel to my dog.

pretty good location. 5 minute walk to the main street where all the public transit goes by. Never felt unsafe at night in the neighborhood. Nothing fancy, but clean and functional hotel.

The outside of the hotel was horrendous. They say there is a pool, but on Memorial Day it was not opened. It looked like it hadn't been open in a looong time. They say a Continental Breakfast...lol! One pot of coffee for all the guests, Sunny Delight, milk, packaged mini danish, powered coffee cream, generic cereal that looked like its been in the dispenser […] for yrs. All cold items were not kept cold. They were laying on a counter. Don't try to ask for coffee...the desk won't answer when you call, and if you catch them there, he'll tell you no more!! They are dirty foreigners...desk guy had stained shirt and no teeth. Standards from this guys country may be very low. He may think he has a 6 star hotel! A place to stay if you want to be within walking distance of downtown Erie. Other than that it is pretty rundown. Outside is kind of falling apart and the room was far out-dated. The room was cleaner than expected, from what I could see on the outside. Its more or less useful for convenience and a bed and shower.

If you are looking for the Hilton, this isn't it. The Inn is old and could use sprucing up such as painting, etc. However, it doesn't look run down either. If you plan on staying a night or two and really only need it for sleep, it is fine. The room is not luxurious, but it is suitable and was clean. The bathroom could use a little sprucing up and maintenance, […] although it too, was not dirty. The towel rack was loose from the wall and one end was really pulled out, so you could not put damp towels on it to dry off. All in all, it was an okay place to stay in if all you needed was just a clean bed to sleep in. I have been in worse places. Reading past reviews of the place left us feeling kind of doubtful that the place would be clean. I see the validity to some of the comments, but it wasn't such a bad place after all. The quality of the hotel was pretty poor. Its not bad for the price if you just need a place to stay while touring the area, but if you are looking for a lot of comfort I wouldn't recommend staying here. Also, the curtains had some faded red stains which was kind of creepy.

If you want non smoking do not come here. All we could smell was cigarette smoke. When we got home I had to wash everything to get rid of the smell. The smoke was coming from the vents from other rooms.

The other reviews that stated the pillows were flat, light bulbs needed changed (three of four lamps did not work)and overall disrepair are true. I would like to add that at 2:30 am very noisey people outsde using profanity (wife was scared), 6:30 am pipes started ratteling in wall as the people above our room took a shower that lasted ten minutes,8:00 […] am Sunday morning bells started ringing from two churches next to hotel every 15 minutes and the pitter patter of a small child in room above ours made for a very bad night of little sleep Continua a leggere

non smoking room smelled like smoke

I'd seen another review on this hotel that said it needed a lot of maintenance; it's been done. Our room was in very good condition, the outside structure had recently been repainted as well. All the furnishings were in great condition and I'm quite sure all of us who stayed there for this Roar on the Shore weekend will return to this location next […] year if they go. Continua a leggere

I booked this hotel thinking it had high speed internet, but it did not. I reserved a non smoking room, but it smelled like somebody had just smoked a carton of cigarettes in it. The room was suppose to have a king size bed in it, instead it had a queen that you can feel the springs coming through. The picture of the pool does not give credit to how […] small it actually is. Hotel old and rundown. Needs major renovation. Disppointed at the previous rating it had when we made the reservation. A 1 1/2 star is more appropriate. Great location, people were friendly, just needs renovating.
