"Not four star but..."
My a initial impression of this hotel was oh lord what did I do? But after staying the first night and into the second day it turned out to be a lot better than I had expected. Overall quality of the hotel is okay, but the manager was really nice and that made it a lot better and the price was really worth it

I made my reservation that day when I stopped about a hundred miles out. I arrived very late, but they were waiting for me and were very accommodating, even when I requested extra amenities after I'd already gone to my room and returned.
"If you just DON'T CARE, this is the place to stay!!"
I first called them to let them know we would be arriving very early in the morning (well after midnight)& were told to use the phone on the outside of the building to call certain numbers & someone would assist us with check-in. We arrived at 3am. After 30 min of trying to use the phone that didn't work at all, calling the 800 # for super 8 & getting […] nowhere with them, calling from our cell phones to the front office & banging on a door marked "manager's office", FINALLY a grumpy man showed up to check us in. We got to the room to find it about 90 degrees in there, (since when do they NOT turn the a/c on for an expected guest??) we had to take cold showers right then becaused we were sweating so badly! I had booked a non-smoking room (I am a smoker, but prefer to stay in a room that doesn't reek from stale smoke! I don't smoke in my own house) & I could tell it was clearly a smoking room from the smell & there were 2 ashtrays in the room. (when I asked about this, he said it WAS a non-smoking room....right.) I wasn't expecting a GREAT experience by choosing a Super 8, but this was a horrible place to stay!! The best thing about staying here was the Adult XXX store in the same parking lot...LOL There's NOTHING to do in Clarksville, so at least that store was entertaining to browse through, & we could just walk over there! Don't stay here. Really. Spend a little extra & stay at the Comfort Inn across the street. At least it looks like someone would be "hired" to man the front desk 24/7. Continua a leggere
