This hotel is incredible. The location was perfect and the service impeccable. I highly recommend this location when visiting Montreal.

This hotel has to be one of my favorite hotels I have ever stayed in. It was absolutely gorgeous, staff was friendly and the room was beautiful. I had a great stay.

Saint Sulpice was a fantastic hotel to stay in, clean, accommodating, convenient and a fantastic location. We would happily stay here again. Only thing, the hotel bar closes early, that was a bit annoying. We went for a night cap there at around 12:45 on Friday, Dec 30th and it was closed.

Le Saint Sulpice is a beautiful and charming hotel right in the heart of Old Montreal. It is just a few steps away from Notre Dame Basilica and great shops and restaurants. I was in Montreal for work and it is only a 10-15 minute walk away from the financial district and the main shopping district. The service is great, including turn down service every […] night. You never know what a hotel is really like, trying to judge from the online photos, etc. We were absolutely dazzled by this little gem in old Montreal. The service is impeccable. We recently spent three nights at the St. S in Old Mtl and while the location is excellent there were a number of things which left us unlikely to ever come back despite a great location. 1) our room door was left open after the maid cleaned one day2)our room key failed to work on day 3 and after arrging new key cards at the front desk they still did […] not work...finally one of the frt desk staff had to come up to our room to sort things out.3. The Murphy bed lock was broken and had to be repaired 4.The AC stopped working and had to be rebooted...fyi...all the hotel maintenance staff were very courteous as were some of the front desk staff but the gentleman with the concierge keys on his lapel gave one the distinct impression that he really wished you would go away.5. The AC blows like hell in the room on and off all night and woke us up several times each night.6. One eve. we decided to eat at the hotel but after waiting some time(10 min?) at the entrance to the restaurant we left as no one came to seat us...understaffed? the hotel did not seem to be all there...contrast that to great service at several Fairmont and Westin Hotels where we have recently stayed. This beautiful pet friendly hotel is a gem in old Montreal. The rooms were spacious and well appointed. There was a very reasonable pet fee of $50 for the entire stay and the location is excellent. The service was just right, - not over-bearing and not negligent. We enjoyed our stay in this great location. Room had some kitchen amenities which was very convenient. Service was prompt, helpful and friendly. Only issue was the carpet in our room needed repair/replacement as it was buckled as well as was shredded in one spot. Room was clean and well appointed in every other way. I think if you look at the hotel and the location, the restaurant and the bar need a bit more pizzaz!!! The outside court is nice, but the mood at the bar is kind of depressing? Breakfast is not an option! the buffet is too simple and if not free is way too pricey...

All staff members -extremely helpful and friendly. Centrally located for sightseeing and great access to the metro.Highly satisfied with our with our overall space,allthough would have appreciated more room and draw space.Very important-especially for the females - need at least one other mirror besides ones in bathroom. The streets were all blocked so access was really difficult and then the power went off. This just demonstrated how good the staff really are...they took it in their stride with no problems. We really enjoyed our stay. Well done to all the staff.

Wonderful French hotel in the heart of Old Town, Montreal. Walk to all the sights and enjoy the atmosphere. The people at the hotel helped us with resturant selections, directions, and other details and they were very nice. Really made my husband and my vacation special.

I would stay here anytime, anyday... I highly recommend!

.........the only problem I had with this hotel was the drink prices at the bar! Beer and pop were both $5.00 a little crazy for Sprite - BUT - they wine was $15/glass! RIDICULOUS! Other than that - very much enjoyed our time there!

beautiful hotel. hell to get to. took us 45 min to find it becasue of all the construction and road closures.... breakfast made us all puke a little in our mouths, go eat somewhere else if your staying here. rooms were clean, hotel was updated and beautiful, but this hotel just isnt worth the money. oh yeah valet service sucks too. everytime we wanted […] our car it would take 15 min for them to get it. Great location. Quiet, spacious room with comfortable bed and kitchenette with Nepresso machine, electric kettle, fridge, microwave and dishes provided.

This hotel is seriously top notch, perfection. Beautiful decor, staff is lovely and helpful and the rooms are gorgeous! I highly recommend staying at this hotel. We were there for the Formula One race weekend and the location was 2 blocks from the metro. Perfect location. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance.

On a wonderful cobblestone street right near Notre Dame basilica. Great restaurants within walking distance. Chinatown just a few minutes away. If you have kids, the science center is also within walking distance. Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids and the room was quite large with separate LR, 2 TVs, fridge and large bath. Great place to stay, very beautiful hotel and great size rooms, very family friendly. Staff were terrific and very helpfull with anything and everything. Only down side was that the restaurant was under construction and the limited room service was a bit on the pricey side.

Although the hotel was great and centrally located, the restaurant is undergoing renovations, so there is a very selective room service menu. I wished I had known that renovations were ongoing as I was looking forward to staying in one night.

We drove to Montreal from Ontario, and were surprised at the different nature of the drivers! There also seems to be an excessive amount of roadworks going on in the city at present, so the journey to the hotel itself was very difficult to navigate. The reception staff here are fantastic, very helpful and full of local knowledge. Our party of 6 were […] upgraded to a two-bedroom suite which was very well equipped. Very comfortable beds, beautiful bathrooms, TV in each room, fireplace in the living room etc. The kitchenette was well-stocked of crockery, but we were surprised that we were only given 3 cups of coffee per day for our large party. Similarly, we had difficulties with extra towels and their replacement. The location of the hotel is great, surrounded with plenty of restaurants and museums. Our only problem was trying to find a bakery or supermarket to purchase breakfast items. Old Montreal has plenty to see and do, but we wanted to venture to other parts of the city. There is a long walk from the hotel to the commercial area of the city, or to other attractions such as the planetarium. Continua a leggere

Enjoyed the stay at this location. Room was very clean, we had a small kitchenette which helped. Was not sure of the very large frosted glass wall in the shower exposed to the main room. which everybody could see in, when taking a shower? (the kids) glad it also had a soaking tub. Staff was very helpful. location was fantastic, everything was close […] by. Even a Costco if one knew were it was. We found a indoor parking just up the street near the metro. Great motel in the heart of the Old Port. A bit disappointed that the lobby was under construction without any advance notice. The smell was noxious. Internet was down for ~24 hours. ATM machine did not accommodate my bank’s network so obtaining cash was a challenge. Room was very clean and staff was very accommodating. Would go back again.

We went to Saint Sulpice in Dec. the area was absolutely beautiful, old Montreal in winter felt a lot like Europe in the winter without the haul across the pond. The hotel was beautiful, from the moment you walk in right up to the room. A nice entrance opens up to the hotel, where a fire burned next to a fully decorated Christmas tree. Soft music added […] to the ambiance as snow fell on the decorated courtyard. As we entered our Superior Suite, tile floors led to the fully tiled bathroom and opened up to a rather large hotel room. A beautiful glass sink and plenty of glass counter tops adorned the bathroom. Plenty of mirrors gave the bathroom and its stand up shower the appearance of more room, even though the bathroom itself was fairly large. The stand up shower had a frosted glass wall, which was a nice touch aesthetically. Down the hall the room opens up to a sleeping area with a flat panel TV, beautiful bedding and a nice down comforter. The room continued to flow where the was a nice kitchenette, complete with tile, microwave, deep sink, fridge, and stove top. Then there was the seating area. A hide away couch with glass and wood coffee tables filled the living space that was situated watching a second flat panel TV and wood burning fire place. A small balcony with a step up was off the seating area. We were lucky enough to have a balcony that faced the courtyard, it was beautiful. There were small things that took away from the hotel being a 4 or even 5 star hotel. They were tiny in our eyes and easily overlooked. The couch had some small fraying on one of the cushions. Next to the fireplace there was a small (quarter size) black spot, I assume smoot from the fireplace. On one of the small tables there was a couple small scratches. Outside of that the room was all and more from what could be expected for the price and star rating. St. Sulpice sits in old Montreal just a couple blocks from the port and the Science Center at the port. There are lots of restaurants, Continua a leggere

We were attending a convention at a chain hotel and loved the 20 minute walk in the morning to our meetings. The hotel suite was very spacious and the service, from the front desk to the doorman helpful and prompt. We will go back to the Saint Sulpice and enjoy not only the hotel, but the nearby restaurants, shops and the atmosphere of old Montreal […] . Continua a leggere

A lovely up-scale experience. In the heart of old Montreal. Good recommendations from the staff: helpful and responsive. The only downside: overly expensive and limited breakfast / morning food options. We didn't eat in the hotel's restaurant.

The hotel was excellent and the Old City location could not have been better. The room was lovely well maintained and spacious. The staff were friendly and always helpful. It would have been among the best hotels I have ever stayed at but for one thing; they served me the most atrocious room service meal it has ever been my misfortune to come across. I […] ordered a hamburger and some gazpacho from room service. Started with the gazpacho. It was nothing more than tomato juice thickened with bread crumbs - tasteless and annoying. Then I bit into the hamburger and discovered that it was utterly uncooked; raw, like biting a cow's rear end. Disgusted, I called back room service and told them the meal wasn't up to snuff. They offered to replace it but not refund the cost. Not being very interested in any further offerings from the hotel's kitchens, I hung up disappointed. Everything about this hotel is so perfect and terrific...we have the best stay in this hotel...from the staff to the housekeeping service....wonderful...definitely will stay again if we visit Montreal...

Great hotel, great rates. Large rooms, comfortable beds. Location great for variety of activities. Concierge very helpful and friendly. Room quiet, even near elevator.
