L'hotel è situato a Newark, di fianco a Penn Station: una passerella coperta, con un piccolo centro commerciale, conduce direttamente alla stazione, e varie linee permettono di raggiungere Manhattan in 20 minuti di treno a 5$ a viaggio. Io lo consiglio per chi vuole spendere una cifra umana ma comunque essere comodo per raggiungere Manhattan in non troppo tempo (Penn Station e Madison Square Garden). Le camere sono spaziose e pulite, ma il costo di 10$ al giorno per la Wifi è assurdo. Sotto all'hotel ci sono vari posti dove poter far colazione (Starbucks, Donkey donuts e anche il pub dell'hotel). I treni viaggiano tutta la notte, quindi non si è soggetti a "coprifuoco".. consigliato.

L'hotel è situato in una zona molto comoda per raggiungere l'aeroporto di Newark. E' piuttosto grande, ampio parcheggio gratuito per i clienti dell'albergo, e c'è pure un pub/ristorante dove si mangia discretamente. Wifi gratuita, camere spaziose, pulite e letti molto comodi. Nulla da eccepire, ma di sicuro non è la soluzione che fa per voi se cercate una sistemazione comoda per raggiungere Manhattan. Ottimo se avete bisogno di dormire vicino all'aeroporto. unico neo: introvabile col navigatore (TomTom)

Prendendo il PATH (ha la navetta che ti viene a prendere, chiamandola, gratuitamente alla Penn Station e ti porta li ogni mezz'ora) sei a Manhattan (WTC) in mezz'ora. L'hotel e' pulito e la colazione buona.
Posizione
A Basking Ridge, nel quartiere degli affari, Courtyard by Marriott Basking Ridge si trova nelle vicinanze della seguente attrazione: Bridgewater Commons. Nella stessa area sono inoltre presenti: Rutgers University e Fiddler's Elbow Country Club.

"Marriott Courtyard in Basking Ridge"
Hotel was comfortable for a one day layover. Hotel services were fine. Indoor pool was small and the hot tub even smaller.

I was disappointed with the newly remodeled dining area - very slick and modern but with that constant television noise that I do not care for during meals. I would prefer the old buffet concept with the egg cook. "A nice stay with small issues"
We liked this place a lot, but there were a few small issues we had with it. Our room was plenty big (king size bed), and the high ceilings are nice. The shower was awesome, if plain. The sink area is a bit small, but the double shelf was nice so that you can keep items near the sink without being in danger of getting wet. My two biggest complaints […] were that I wasn't entirely sure our sheets were clean....they were quite wrinkly and had little pieces of lint in places, like blue fuzzy pajamas had been in them. My spouse thought I was crazy, and we slept on it anyway, but still, the sheets did not have that crisp, freshly laundered feel. The other complaint was that the little market downstairs...no prices on the items, of course, and a half-pint of milk and bottle of water was $6.42!! Are you KIDDING me?? There's no reason to nickel and dime your customers like that. It cannot possibly cost enough to truck that stuff in to justify charging customers that amount for two small drinks. Insane. That being said, we probably will stay here again - we also have stayed at the Indigo down the street a lot but the last few times haven't had the best experience. have stayed at this same location several times. Some different issues each time. This time we marked down the score on room cleanliness due to obvious stains in the middle of the comforter. We stayed 2 nights but didn't notice the stains until the second night when we pulled the top sheet off the top of the comforter. "Too Many Problems"
I will start off saying that I ALWAYS book our rooms on Hotels.com. and ALWAYS go off the guest reviews- not the hotel star rating...so I'm hoping my review helps someone out there! The hotel itself is probably pretty nice, when they are not renovating it. BUT we just happened to go when they were. It was a COMPLETE mess. Registration desk in a hotel […] room, had to go through TONS of different levels, like a maze, just to get to the "included breakfast". First morning my kids and I couldn't even get there because the hallway attached to the breakfast room (using a conference room) was filled with white powder plumes from the construction guys cutting floor tiles. When the elevator doors opened, the elevator immediately filled with white powder. Really great for my premature baby....I ended up having to leave the hotel in the 20 degree weather to go down the street to get bagels. Thank goodness the place was close! The GM, Scott, did try to compensate us for the inconvenience, by giving us a $20 credit to use for the expensive junk food in the downstairs registration area (again...a hotel room). ANYWAY- that same night, or morning- at 4:57am, the smoke alarm in our room and outside hallway starting blaring...and wouldn't stop for over 2 minutes. A wonderful way for us and our kids to all wake up. When we called down to the front desk to ask what was going on, the clerk's response was, "It's no problem". REALLY??? No problem???!!! ANYWAY....the room WAS clean, the maid staff was friendly, and when we did finally get to have our breakfast on morning two, it was good (eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh fruit, bagels, cereal, etc.), BUT the carpet and tables were covered with white powder from the guys still tiling the floor outside of the room. Not the healthiest way to eat your breakfast. UGH. I really am not generally picky, but there were just too many problems in a 2 day period, to not comment on. Continua a leggere
"Hotel was under renovations"
The hotel was under renovations while I was there, which wasn't mentioned anywhere on this site. The hallways had a faint smell of a baby diaper, and the room had a slight musty smell. "Great place to stay!"
We stayed at the Courtyard for 6 nights over the Thanksgiving weekend. The staff was friendly and attentive. we appreciated the bananas at the desk as we had family to visit and did not want to spend time on breakfast! 2 out of 3 times that we went early evening to enjoy the pool and hottub the water temperature was too cold, once 80 degrees and once […] 90. We arrived late on Tuesday night of Thanksgiving week, tired and hungry from the terrible ride from Florida. The staff was extremely accommodating and we checked in and came back downstairs to a delicious dinner. The lady who waited on us was very friendly. I did not get her name but she is originally from Bulgaria and we had a nice conversation about […] travel. I also wanted to thank Ken who worked Wednesday night at the bar/restaurant for his efficient service and his very friendly manner. We have stayed here before and the next time I am visiting my relatives in NJ, would not hesitate to stay here again. The room was clean, but was strangely set up...TV was on the side of bed so it was very difficult to watch from bed. This was a night away with my husband from our toddler and it was a bit disturbing to walk into a room with a baby crib set up!...The staff removed it right away, but if I felt at all guilty for leaving my daughter this was a sure reminder...!! […] Overall, the room was fine...the building is difficult to navigate inside (lacking adequate signs to find your way) and parking was limited in the front of the building. With that said, we got lost a few times trying to find the appropriate door to exit the building. Really, our stay was adequate and we would stay again if needed. The price was right! "Clean and convenient!"
We stayed with our 3 small children for one night after a family get-together at a nearby home. Hotel was easy to get to, clean and quiet (even though there was a class reunion happening the same night in the hotel). "Over-all experience was great"
This hotel is located directly off 78 which made the location perfect for what we needed. Good price for the class of hotel it was. It was a nicely decorated and well laid out hotel. The room was very clean except for a bunched up towel that was on the floor (assuming a maid forgot). Would definitely stay there again.

"Comfy but not so quiet."
I had read the previews to this hotel. I found them to be mostly true. The hotel was easy to find, the staff were friendly and the check-in process was very easy. The beds were like sleeping on clouds and everything was very clean. The one thing I must complain about was the noise level. Our room opened into the courtyard.. OH MY GOD. "Comfortable room; friendly staff, and facilities are well maintained"
We had a pleasant overnight stay; had opted for the breakfast at booking. The manager and staff were very friendly which made the experience that much better! We'll surely book again.

This hotel caters mostly to business people during the working week. We stayed there for a weekend wedding in town. Hotel was very quiet, not many guests. That was good.
